Hotel Latinum - روما

For those looking to save money on a hotel, this is a great option. The only drawbacks that I could think of is that you need to pay for internet in your room and that the mattress wasn't that comfortable. Everything else is superb. The people at the front desk will help you in getting around and are very polite. The location of the hotel is decent, but there is a metro thats about a 7-8 minute walk that you could take to wherever you want to go. The bathroom and room was always clean. I would recommend this hotel for those who are looking for quality while staying within a budget.

it is a little bit further from the train station, if you don't know how to get there...from the station take the tram #5 or #14 and it will take you straight to the hotel, i think it is the 4th stop. nice clean hotel and good service. P.S. you don't have to buy the ticket for the tram since no one checks. we paid the first time and after that travelled for free.

This hotel is located in walking distance from Termini, easy to find, just walk 1.5km in the streets parallel to the railroad tracks. There are three floors with four rooms each, we had 22 and 33; room 33 was the better with larger space and a view of the plaza. Room standard was very good, clean bathrooms, sheets etc. Breakfast was also quite alright, the usual stuff with rolls, ham, cheese, serials, pastries etc. You can easily walk over to Coliseo (another 1.5km) or take the bus to Termini from just outside the hotel entrance. Recommended gem close to the hotel - Palazzo del Freddo in Via Principe Eugenio - the best gelado place in Roma...

We had a weekend vacation in Rome, the room was fine, neat and like new. Breakfast was average with a little verity of food. Bottom line - Recommended for those who want to save some money and walk a little bit to the next metro station

Stayed for 1 week. Great staff very friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Around 15-25 min walk to Colesseum, 10-15 min from Termini, 10 mins from Vittorio Emmanuale metro

Very friendly staff, nice comfortable room although we a had a slight problem with the room temp, but then we stayed when Rome had the worst snow since 1986. Hotel seems smaller than the pictures appear on the website. We would stay here again, loved Rome and hope to return.

A tiny hotel (12 rooms and a nice terrace on the roof) convenient for sightseeing. The hotel rooms are modern, newly renovated and very clean. The staff are helpful and always nice and smiling. A good 15 minute walk from termini station and very easy to find even on the first time. About 10-15 minutes to metro but you can also use tramways and buses that are in front of the hotel and go to termini or the nearest metro station if you do not want to walk. It is a very good choice for the price.

The hotel was around a 15/20 min walk from the Termini and was easy to find. Our stay was very enjoyable and would reccomend this hotel whole heartedly unless you didn't want to do much walking. It is a fair walk to the sights around the city however there is a metro station 10 minute walk away from the hotel.

Brilliant hotel with a lovely view of the city and ancient ruins from our room and from the roof. 20 min walk to the Colosseum. Actual ruins in the hotel lobby. Nice, helpful, friendly staff. Nice continental breakfast every morning. Very romantic roof top terrace. It is right by a busy junction, but the noise is only a problem if the window is open. Absolutely loved it! Definitely recommend it :)

Very nice hotel. Good service, good placement in the city and good conditions. A good deal for the price. It is 10 min. walk from the Colosseum, and there are several trams and busses right in front of the hotel. The building is recently renovated and the rooms are always kept nice and clean. A bit noisy streets around but it's ok.

Lovely hotel! 15 minute walk from the train station and 20 minutes to the Colosseum. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was great!

We stayed 5 nights at the hotel and it was a very nice stay. The hotel was beautiful, modern, clean and the staff was so gentle and helpful. I would definetely stay again at the Latinum Hotel.

Very nice and clean modern hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. About 10 minutes walk from Emmanuel Vittorio Metro station, very accessible to other parts of Rome. A good bargain for its price.

Location is superb as it's 10 mins walk from colesseum and 5 mins from the metro which will take you everywhere. Price is superb and general decor is nice too..staff are friendly and helpful .. However the only criticisms I have is it's one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on! Recommend for a short trip and of you have a bad back as the bed was solid!

small hotel, small room. the staff very nice and helpful. very clean and comfort room. a little bit far away from the magor sites. in the fourth floor there is very nice Balcony if u can use the metro not the bus.

Staff was very helpful with regards to directions and how to get to the sights. The place has two trams right in front and many buses also leaving just at the gate. Of course the downside is that the rooms get noisy, but I did not mind at all since I use earplugs at the night. There are also few restaurants nearby where you can eat good italian food. Really nice rooms, clean and feels safe. Breakfast is just right. For a 3-star hotel I would say you are getting more than you need so highly recommended.

This hotel is located a bit far away from more centralized locations such as Piazza Navona or Fontana di Trevi. However, if you don't mind riding the metro (2 blocks away) during the day and taking a cap at night (15 EUR) this hotel is a gem. Rooms are newly remodeled and twice the size of rooms in Paris. Their breakfast is decent and customer service is outstanding. One night I came back at 2AM with my fiancée and a guy approached us and started talking. The employee working that night heard us talking to the stranger and jumped to the main gate right away to open the door and make sure everything was OK. I traveled to many places around the world and I know when a place go the extra mile to take care of their customers. Hotel Latinum is definitively one of them and I highly recommend them.

A good price.Breakfast ok. Close to the tram and about 5 - 10 minutes to the metro. It was easy to find. Nothing speciall about it but a good starting point for exploring Rom even if you had to walk or take the metro when going to the attractions. But thats ok, Rom is such a vast city you must anyway.

We just stayed for one night, but it was really good. The staff was excellent and waited on us, helped us out with everything. Very modern facilities, excellent bedroom, and very nice bathroom. Breakfast was good, great service every time. They helped by arranging to get us our tour tickets.

The hotel is close to the RailWay Central Station which is good for those travelling by train but it is quite far from most of tourist sites and attractions. All the rest depending on the staff was excellent: services, kindness and attention, breakfast, cleanliness maintenance and equipment of the room.

Visit Date: 22nd May 2011 Hotel Latinum is a lovely little hotel with friendly staff and nicely decorated and maintained rooms. The property felt secure and both day and night reception staff was always pleasant and helpful. The location is the only disappointing feature. It is situated on the intersecting junction of main roads with a tram line running on side of the building and the train line down the other. There is traffic noise, the usual Rome horns and lots of emergency vehicle siren noise. It's a 10 minute walk to the metro and well located for the main train station. If you are an early riser, only staying a few nights and in Rome to walk about to discover the city as well as the sites this place is okay, but if you want a romantic ambience, peace and quiet and the sites and best restaurants on your doorstep, this would not be ideal as we had to take taxis (10 - 15€ fare). I suppose I would describe the location as central and functional Rome and not tourist Rome.

what a cracking little hotel!... stayed at hotel latinum for 3 nights, and i would most definitely stay here again. the hotel is a short walk away from the manzoni tube stop so it offers great access to the whole of Rome. The staff were very friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in making sure we had a great experience. the room was very clean, as was the bathroom/toilet. cheap mini bar, free breakfast in the morning with the best pan au chocolate i have ever had. one thing that wasn't my taste was the bed was slightly firm for my liking.

Hotel is nice - small, clean, and cozy, like a family-run bed and breakfast in the U.S. Breakfast is included. Location is not near major tourist sites, and there are not many choices of restaurants nearby (only saw two pizza places). Several buses have stops in front of the hotel, but the nearest subway station is 10 minutes away on foot.

The hotel is small but very good. The rooms are new and clean. There were 2 things that we didn't like it: The towels, they looked like sheets... I could not understand why save on that and the internet, that was charged but the signal was very weak. The managers gave us a cable to conect that solved the problem. Breakfast was not exceptional, but good. Lots of noise outside during the night due to the train and the avenue. In summary the cost vs benefit was fair.

A very nice and comfortable hotel. The staff is great and very helpful. The rooms are very nice. The location is a bit away from the center but there are many buses that one can take from out front of the hotel. For the price, it was an incredible deal. Laura

Visited Rome mid September, 2010. Arrived in Termni station. Hotel is situated approx 10 mins walk from station. Reception staff very helpful and provided very important information in relation to metro, buses and trams. Also we were able to check in early which of course is always great.. First impression of the hotel is that it is very clean and modern. The room itself is not disappointing, it is very nicely decorated with a spacious modern bathroom. Airconditioning is available. Rooms are spotless. The only slightly negative point is that the hotel is based near a very busy road and can be very noisy, however when the windows are closed it does reduce the noise. The metro station which brings you to most of the visitor attractions is approx 10 mins walk. Really enjoyed my visit and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would defintely recommend this hotel.

We've just returned from five nights in Rome, staying at the Hotel Latinum. The quality of the hotel and cleanliness were outstanding features as well its comparitive location to major tourist spots such as The Colosseum/ Roman Forum - only a 20min walk. Breakfast was ok and what you would expect of a Continental Buffet. While the local area may - on a first assessment - not appear immediately endearing, we felt comfortable walking back at night having been out for a meal. The only difficulty we had was actually finding it when we arrived which is common on a number of posts we read before we went. Looking at it as a positive - may be thats the reason its of Rome's best kept secrets. We would highly recommend it and gladly return.

Very nice hotel, comfortable and clean. They clearly invested money on making the hotel look nice and cosy. The only problem is that it is quite far from everything and that was an issue. But overall, if you are looking for a comfortable and affordable hotel this is the place to be.

Vores værelse var fint og rent og det var perfekt at nyde et glas vin på tagterrassen. Morgenmaden var også ok. Sporvognene nr 14 og 19 holder lige ud for hotellet og kører til Termini banegården. Til nærmeste metro er der ca. 10 min til fods

En realidad me pareció buen hotel, ubicado justo en frente de estaciones de buses y tranvías. El servicio excelente de día pero en la noche se nota la diferencia por la persona asignada. El internet lo cobran aparte y deberían mejorar el sistema para control de temperatura de la habitación. El desayuno es aceptable. En conclusión ea una buena relación costo beneficio en Roma.

Godt lille hotel med fin service, både i receptionen og ved morgenmaden. Betjeningen og rengøringen i top. Ligger ca 15-20 min. fra city med bus, som holder lige ved hotellet.

Lille centralt beliggende hotel ca 20 min. gang fra Colloseum. Meget hjælpsomt personale. Som forventet en del trafikstøj. Værelset meget mørkt men det er jo heller ikke der tiden tilbringes. Morgenmad god

Hotel Latinum on siisti ja miellyttävä pieni hotelli Roomassa, Piazza di Porta Maggioren aukiolla. Vietimme hotellissa kuusi yötä maaliskuussa, jolloin iltaisinkin jo tarkeni istuskella kattoterassilla ja ihastella aukion historiallisia näkymiä ja seurata Rooman hullua liikennettä. Vaikka liikennettä on aukiolla paljon, sen meluun tottui yllättävän pian. Hyvien kulkuyhteyksien ansiosta hotellilta pääseekin kätevästi kahdella raitiovaunulinjalla Terminin asemalle, sekä bussiyhteyksillä mm. Trasteveren kaupunginosaan. Aukiolla on myös taksitolppa. Matkailijoiden on kuitenkin syytä varautua maksamaan hotellin perimä välityspalkkio, mikäli respa tilaa taksin asiakkaan puolesta ajankohtina, jolloin taksitolpalla ei ole ketään päivystämässä. Hotel Latinum tarjoaa hyvän perusaamiaisen ja palvelu onnistuu myös englannin kielellä. Avain oli tapana jättää hotellin respaan säilytykseen kaupungille lähtiessä, mikä osaltaan vahvisti sympaattisen ja idyllisen hotellin vaikutelmaa.

+hotellin sijainti hyvä, kävelymatkan päässä Colosseumista (1,5 km). +lähin metroasema 500m +hotelli siisti, huoneet pienehköt mutta riittävät +henkilökunta erittäin mukavaa ja palvelut toimivat hyvin +24 h respa -hotellin aamiaishuone todella pieni ja aamiainen koti tasoa (kahvi, mehu, leipä). -arkisin kovaliikenne hotellin edustalla kello 6 alkaen, kuuluu yläkerran huoneisiin -hotellista ei ole ruokailumahdollisuutta, lähikadulla kyllä useampi ravintola Suosittelen hotellia silloin jos haluaa nähdä Roomaa kävellen, heti hotellin ulkopuolella paljon nähtävää.

Litet mysigt hotell med fint inredda rum, välskräddat och väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Nära till tunnelbanan för att enkelt ta sig runt hela Rom. 15 minuters promenad till Colloseum. Bra frukost .

Mysigt litet hotell med god service och trevlig personal. Bra frukost som ingick i priset som man stod sig på fram till lunch. Badrummet var väldigt fräscht! Rekommenderar även restaurangerna i närheten med mycket god mat och bra priser, om man jämför med restaurangerna mer centralt som tog ut överpriser även i januari. Rekommenderar!

Pas gerenoveerd Hotel. Superschoon en de locatie gewoon goed, omdat de bus (lijn 105) voor de deur stopt en andere lijnen iets verderop. Op die manier kom je bij alle bezienswaardigheden.

Das Hotel ist klein aber fein. Sehr schön, freundliches Personal und unser Zimmer war auch angenehm sauber. Das Frühstück war für unsere Begriffe etwas dürftig, aber ausreichend. Das einzig wirklich negative an dem Hotel ist die Lage. Unser Zimmer gign in Richtung der Bahngleisen, was die Lautstärke bei offenem Fenster unrerträglich machte. Außerdem sind es zu Fuß circa 15 Minuten bis zum Collosseum, aber das ist machbar. Bahnhof ebenfalls innerhalb von 15-20 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Außerdem befindet sich direkt vor dem Hotel eine Bus- und eine Tram-Haltestelle. Die Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich und modern eingerichtet, Fernseher allerdings sehr klein und keine deutschen und englsichen Programme. Für einen Kurz-Aufenthalt in Rom aber auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen!

joli petit hotel, chambre trés agréable personnel agréable parlant un peu français et anglais les moins : un peu bruillant avec la gare et les tramways, mais surtout assez loin de la gare (env. 800m) et 500m du metro le + proche, quartier peu attrayant ou les magasins, les restaurants et les animations ne sont pas "légion".

ich würde wieder in dieses hotel! das hotel war hübsch,klein und sauber und lag ziemlich zentral.das frühstück war übersichtlich, jedoch lecker und für italienische verhältnisse super.die angestellten waren jederzeit ansprechbar, hilfsbereit und freundlich.eine gute wahl.
