Hotel Poblado Alejandria - ميدين

Considering the traffic in Medellin, it was a delight to be tucked away on a quiet hill top with a beautiful view. There is even a flock of urban Maccaws flying around the area. The staff is most friendly and accommodating. Those with early flights can get a good breakfast before normal opening hours. The dining room has excellent food.

I was very pleased with this hotel, excellent location and well trained and friendly employees

Overall the hotel is good, but there are no irons, or ironing boards in the rooms. The hotel has a dry-cleaning service, but not an ironing service. So I had to go out and buy an iron. I was very disappointed with this. Other than that the hotel was great.

This was my first time in Medillen and I was lucky enough to stay at the Poblado Alejandria. Great location. Very safe and walking distance to everything. The service here was awesome. Very helpful and friendly. The hot and cold free breakfast was great. Everything was spotless. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. If you need a taxi there are 1000s everywhere and very cheap and they are metered so all are the same price. The gym was a little skimpy but you have free access to the sister hotels gym within walking distance and very adequate. Will definitely stay there again.

The free breakfast buffet is very good, the rooms have air conditioning, and internet is accessible at computers on floors 2, 4 and 6. Wi-Fi was too weak in our room. Quiet hours ended at 6 a.m. on the 5th floor; maids came very early and maintenance seems to begin work at that hour also. A maid walked into our room for evening turndown service without knocking. The top floor has two hot tubs, a steam room and two balconies with a great view of Medellin. Only a few staff members spoke English but all were very friendly. The hotel is on a steep hill within walking distance of the busy street Poblado and also several large malls; Oviedo mall is recommended for brands recognizable to Americans and also has lots of food choices. If you want interesting local food and music offerings at night, finding a hotel closer to Parque Lleras is a better option. However, the cab ride there should be no more than 5000 pesos. Cabs are almost always sitting outside the hotel for hire and the concierge is happy to help.

Nice hotel and staff. Breakfast could be improved a bit. Location and surroundings are great.

Staff is spectacular. Was sick for a few days and the restaurant staff special made me chicken soup. Bed was a bit harder than I care for and pillows a bit flatter, but outside of that, breakfast was great, room is clean and modern with a big shower, late night coffee at the restaurant was made better than any here in the states. Whirlpools on the roof are extremely relaxing (advise them 30 minutes before that you want to use them). Great team of people working there.

Great hotel, wonderful location, but what makes this hotel stick out from the competition is the staff, best service Ive ever received. Will definetly be returning to this hotel in the future.

This hotel is an excellent value with an amazing location in the Poblado neighborhood in Medellin. The room was clean with a newly renovated bathroom. Nice view from the roofdeck of the city and very convenient to Parque Lleras where there are lots of restaurants and bars. I highly recommend this hotel.

Was very pleased with the hotel. Very friendly (English speaking) staff. Close walk to the surrounding hot spots. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Its great hotel. Nice staff. Good breakfast and perfect location. The difference from the other hotels you can avoid traffic you got way more privacy, and the staff does not harrassed you like in the other hotels.

Nice respite away from hustle & bustle- however this is a downside as well

Great service. The only downside is that the mattresses in the room are very hard. Very hard. Uncomfortablly hard. I cannot go back to what is otherwise a nice hotel. They have to get new and more comfortable mattresses. This seems to be a problem in Medellin. Hotels spend money on decor and amenities and forget the importance of a comfortable mattress. Many hotels in Medellin unfortunately have terrible mattresses. Check yours before you complete your check in.

Wonderful decor to hotel room, food somewhat disappointing but the wonderful room & warm assistance made up for this. It helps to speak Spanish with the Staff.

Great hotel in a safe and beautiful neighborhood. I actually ran in to several people that were on my flight in the viscinity. Hotel is in walking distance to malls. You can walk to the mall in 10-15 min. The hotel is on a hill (San Francisco type of hills); therefore, be prepared for the walk up the hill. Staff was friendly and helpful. I recomend this hotel.

It is a welcome change to go to a hotel where the people really care about their guests and their needs. Absolutely would I come back again and recomment it tosomeone.

our stay at the hotel over thanksgiving weekend was really quite wonderful. the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. the location is great and the view from the terrace is terrific. we will definitely return.

Dont stay anywhere else in Medellin...location was ideal...only a few blocks from the best restaurants, shopping and nightlife in Poblado, I never paid above the minimum taxi fare...staff was 4 seasons quality...

I just returned from my vacation to Medellin, Colombia where I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Poblado Alejandria. The hotel is located at the intersection of Calle 3 Sur and Carrera 36 in Poblado, which is an upscale part of Medellin. The area is beautiful, quite and safe. The hotel is meticulously maintained. I had reserved a standard room with two beds which were a bit firm but that’s the norm in Colombia. The beds came with a small comforter which kept me quite warm in the colder nights. The room had A/C, cable TV, ample closet space, spacious bathroom and was very roomy. Poblado is very quiet at night so there were no problems with noise of any kind. The hotel staff was incredible, I felt like a guest in their home. They would go out of their way to make sure you were well taken care of. They would always greet you with smile and were willing to help you in any way they could. The morning breakfast, which is included, was delicious. It was buffet style… you had choices of freshly squeezed juices, coffee, fresh selection of fruits and cheeses, various breads, arrepas and eggs. The staff members would bring you coffee to your table and even make your eggs to your liking. The hotel does not have a pool but I didn't miss it. Located on the top floor, you will find the gym, two bathrooms, two scenic decks and two jacuzzi's. It was great place to come and relax. The views were incredible! Taxis were always available to take you anywhere you need to go. They would normally be a few parked just to the right of the entrance. On the busier nights, the porter would call one for you if none were available when you walked down. Close by, you will find anything you need. I spent some time at the Santa Fe Centro Comercial with is just a 5-10 min taxi ride from the hotel. This is a 5 story mall with just about anything you can imagine. Sampled some great food, did some shopping, enjoyed the great scenery and even went to the movie theatre located on the 5th floor.

Nice cute hotel decoration very modern, great service. Beautiful neighborhood. The price was great! Will always stay there when going to Medellin!!! I love this city!!!

Ich habe noch nie in einem Hotel mit derart grossartigem Personal gewohnt! Als ich nachts nach einem langen Flug angekommen bin und die Küche längst geschlossen war, hat mir der Portier extra noch ein Sandwich inkl. Pommes frites und Cola aufs Zimmer gebracht, das Ganze aufs Haus. Auch sonst war alles bestens!

Estive em Medellín, hospedada no Poblado Alejandria. O hotel é muito bom. Confortável, funcional, com um bom atendimento de funcionários, sempre muto receptivos, simpáticos e eficientes. Gostei muto!!! Muitas gracias! Telma Faraco

Es un hotel situado en una zona muy tranquila, y el hotel tiene buena atención, es limpio, agradable. Tiene los servicios básicos: Restaurante con muy buena atención, bar, gimnasio piscina etc.

Mi estancia en este hotel fue corta pero super agradable, desde la primera noche todo el personal se porto súper bien conmigo, explicándome como llegar a los sitios, llamando a taxis de confianza si lo necesitaba o facilitándome cualquier cosa que necesitara en el desayuno. Recomiendo este hotel a todos los que quieran tener una agradable experiencia en esta maravillosa ciudad, ya que el hotel se encuentra muy bien ubicado cerca de la avenida del poblado, donde se pueden encontrar centros comerciales, restaurantes, bares, discotecas, etc...

A pesar de que queda en una subida empinada, esta relativamente a pocos minutos de los sitios comerciales y de recreación mas importantes de la ciudad. Es un bien deal...

Muy buen hotel.

Nos pareció un gran Hotel. Muy bien atendidos, muy bonito, comodo, buen precio (barato), buena alimentación, envidiable ubicació . En pocas palabras excelente. Hay que volver y lo recomiendo con los ojos cerrados.

El hotel ofrece muy buenas comodidades para todos los gustos. Centrico y accesible. El personal muy atento y servicial. Una verdadera experiencia en todos los sentidos. Recomendado 100%.
