The hotel is still under construction, but beyond the lack of a completed grand entrance, you would not know it. All of its amenities are finished and in very good shape. I think the hotel could potentially double in size, so I wonder if the size of the completed project will ultimately make the facility feel crowded. But as of now, it was great. The staff was very good and attentive. The rooms and grounds were really stupendous. We did not have any view although ours was called a "partial ocean"- we will never do that again. Also, we had a 2-bedroom and the second bedroom literally had no window: very odd. But it was for the kids and they spent no time there aside from sleeping so it was not a bother. Cabo Azul also did a very good job of making the lighting interesting.... We used the big kitchen space for cereal in the morning to rationalize costs a little bit as the breakfast restaurant was not a bargain. The pool (s) was phenomenal- 3 individual pools of varying temperatures that cascade into each other . The hot tubs were very clean and HOT. Fires light across the pool area at dusk- very attractive. The beach was spectacular but rough. The gym, too, was very clean and well equipped. The valet service for our car was prompt. Internet access (a charge) was good in the rooms and pool area. We like this location as we would rather not even bother stepping foot in Cabo as there are more than enough great restaurants in this area. Go now.

My husband and I agreed we would have given this five stars, except for the additional daily internet charge. In this day and age, wi-fi should be a free inclusion in a hotel stay. Otherwise, we had an amazing time. The resort was a short walk into beautiful San Jose del Cabo and all of the staff were professional and friendly. The views, the swim up pool, the incredible food, were just what we needed. We did have a concierge greet us when we checked in and although we asked him to get us a dinner reservation at a local farm for our second night there, we never heard back from him and there was no follow up. We tried to get a reservation ourselves in the brief moment we had internet service (it was intermittent our entire stay) and were able to get them ourselves, but didn't know it because the internet went down again. I would say that was the most frustrating part of our stay. Had we done all of our reservations before leaving home, it might have been a lot easier. All in all, we would definitely go back, but be better prepared for a lack of service in that regard.

"loved everything except misleading timeshare tour"

Everyone and everything was exceptional except the " resort tour". I was mislead to believe that a quick tour of the resort was really a 90 min timeshare/sales presentation. I felt lied to and angry to be placed in an uncomfortable and comprising position. I further discovered that the employees are very aggressive and dishonest just so they can receive a $400 commission. The resort sells itself and I would have respected a more direct and honest sales approach.

"Perfect for Adults that Just Need to Relax"

We stayed here on our honeymoon and really wanted a place that focused on relaxation. We also wanted a place with less kids and amazing accommodations. Thankfully we were able to get all those things!
The service and the hotel itself was beautiful. The food was all pretty good and the free internet cafe was great too. Overall it's a bit overpriced for everything, but San Jose is all that price. Expect to spend $25-35 a head on dinner.
Everything was clean and in perfect condition. The infinity pools filter out all the water, which is awesome. The one bedroom villa was perfect for us with the full kitchen, so we could cook some nights. We slept with the balcony deck open and woke up to the view of the ocean. Can't beat it!
My only warning is that if you are looking for a resort with a lot of things to do then this is NOT it. Also, the TVs are kind of ghetto.

Really tastefully done upscale resort near the old town of San Jose del Cabo. We stayed in a penthouse and it was among the nicest accomodations we've had. Walking into town is relatively easy and there are plentiful taxis. The food on the resort is actually quite good and varied (we went to the cafe/deli quite a bit, which was less expensive and very relaxed and convenient). The pool area is very comfortable and appealing.
Some of the bedrooms/bathrooms had poor lighting like other reviewers note, but it isn't a big deal since you likely will in the common areas most f the time.
The only real complaint is the timeshare aspect of it -- at check in, we got sold hard on attending a sales pitch. We actually went to the pitch because the incentive was good, but what was promised to be 90 minutes turned into 2 and half hours of very aggressive selling.

They should not be selling this place to their guests as time shares. The quality of the hotel does not match the audience that is buying them as time shares. They should create a different marketing strategy that would attract the type of audience that would appreciate this facility.

De entrada es de muy mal gusto que siendo un resort de 4 diamantes, te cobren el servicio de internet cuando debería de ser un servicio más por tu reserva, el servicio de las personas que atienden el hotel magnífico es una experiencia de servicio sin igual todos muy atentos. ATENCIÓN con el cuidado y control de plagas, siendo el resort que es, no es posible que en nuestra estancia una cucaracha de tamaño enorme se presentará en nuestra habitación.
