Had a great stay,

True Blue exterior was beautiful. The grounds were very well kept, pools were great and the golf course view was fantastic. The interior of our specific room was somewhat dated. Clean but dated. It even smelled a little old. But overall is was great and we would return to True Blue.

This resort is made up of individually owned units. We happened to get a unit that was not maintained by the owners. It was dirty and outdated. There were no sheets for the sleeper sofa- the bed for our kids. There was no one to contact as it was after hours. We had to wash the pillows (as they were very stained) and a mattress pad that night just so that the kids had something to sleep on. The coffee pot was dirty when we arrived. Had to buy toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap and dishwasher detergent.

Overall, not a bad place. We requested an updated condo and if you consider more modern kitchen cabinets updated, then we got what we requested. The condo was dated - 80's decor but it was clean. Hot water was not adequate if you like a shower longer than three minutes. For the money, it wasn't bad. Just wasn't anything special. If you check in on an off-season weekend, you'll have to call for instructions on picking up the keys. Would have been nice to have this emailed in advance instead of in the lockbox.

This hotel is a must see/ must stay, very close to most sight.

We love this place!!!

The place was run down. not clean, and had roaches. The blinds were broken, carpet filthy, and walls needed painting. The place needs some maintanence.

great stay--will check so as not to get third floor next time. No elevators

We were 4 golfers in a 3 bedroom unit. This hotel is definitely not up to par. There were a lot of cockroaches in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. We complained to the manager and she told us it was normal in december. She didn't do anything about it. The beds in one of the bedrooms were uncomfortable. The kitchen area is quite old and worn out. The appliances were not as clean as is to be expected. I would never go back to this hotel.

excellent beautiful place

The condo was nice, beautiful area. My comment is that (1) the verticle blinds on both patio doors (den and bedroom) did not work well, were missing some blinds, therefore I felt like I didn't have privacy and had to put a blanket up over the blinds for privacy. And (2) I was not sure if the extra blankets in the closet (there were several) were freshly washed. Thank you!

I have already recommended this to friends and co-workers. We had a wonderful time - it was like a home away from home. The only thing I would have liked was more towels.

Great place to stay. Dont know whats its like during the summer but VERY nice and peaceful last weekend

I loved the secluded location of the resort. Our room was very clean and nice. The only problem was that there were twin beds in our Master suite and the beds were not convertable to King size. Hotel staff did come in and try to convert the beds. The beds in the kids room were convertable but the mattresses were hard as rocks. The mattresses in the master were at least comfortable. The heated pool was great. I would stay there again.

I really enjoyed these condos. It was very quit and a perfect size for our stay. I loved Pawley's Island and I liked not being in all the congestion of Myrtle Beach traffic. Also, the condo was cheaper then a hotel. I will definately stay again and again.

True Blue has a beautiful setting in a quiet area and is very accessable to the Pawley's Island area. It would have been beneficial if the Office would have given more accurate directions to the condo. I would return to stay at these condos.

The unit we stayed in was very outdated, which took away from the "home-away from home" feel. The pool was closed the first day we got there, which was disappointing to the kids. Myrtle beach is almost 25 minutes from the resort--too far! the resort is on a secluded golf course. We accidentally left my husband's watch in the room. We called back and left a message with the anwering service. She told us we would get a call back the next morning...never received a call. I decided the call the rental office around noon and the office assistant told me she would check the unit and call me back in a few minutes. I didn't hear back from her for hours so I called back. At that time, she swore she didn't see it but didn't apologize for not getting back to me. Terrible customer service!

True Blue met all my needs and was overall a good place to stay, however the beding was bad (i.e. the King Bed was two single materess put together and they would slide apart during the night)

The hotel was a pleasant place to stay. We enjoyed staying there. We look forward to visit another time soon. Need to be mentioned that their should be a clear info about how to pick up the keys if one arrives after the office closed. Need a clear sign which indicates where the office is located. We expected open lobby 24/7. Which is not in this case.

My family stayed in a 3 bedroom condo and it was great. The only problem we ha at all was the master bedroom had two twin beds pushed together and was very uncomfortable. But the price and overall view of this place was great. I would deffinately go back to this resort. This was a great place to take your family to and the beach was a few minutes away but was very clean and beautiful.

I'll be very honest for the price we paid per night was perfect. But that room could have been better. In the master bedroom closet had broken and old pictures plus a foam that is placed on the bed. The carpet felt funny all the time we walk with shoes. In the kitchen the dishes and cabinets inside. These were things that really is poor maintenance. But the room is spectacular, lots of space. But when you go on holiday so unless you want to go clean to be comfortable. And what does no trow away ... is like having junk in the closet. That could not believe it.

The resort is close to Myrtle Beach but the resort its self is a quiet retreat. NO noise at all (except someone swinging at a golf ball LOL). The Condos are as described - but the office is only open from 9am to 5 pm. If you arrive after these hours there are instructions available to retrieve your condo keys. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet place to stay but close to all the fun and attractions of the Grand Stand.

this place was beautifully maintained-beautiful linens , accessories, truly a home away from home. we were extremely comfortable, place immaculate. the only issue t.v in one of the bedroom was not working and the lack of availability to wi-fi, and no dust pan. Also the price was more than reasonable for the type and quality of the accommodation

We took a last minute get away to experience myrtle beach having moved from Australia to usa, i have stayed at many places, so was really impressed with our stay here. prior to booking, I read over the reviews and they were mixed so I was of the oppinion.. Ill wait till i get there and then decide, the only bad thing I can say is the beds were slightly firm, however I have spinal conditions so I cant say this will be case for all. The room itself was awesome very clean. If you are looking for the perks of the Waldorf Hystoria i wouldnt recommend you stay here, but as a family with three young chilren, we found it awesome. It had everything there to cook with stove big frige washer dryer pantry, utensils cutlery cooking ware wine glasses, really didnt need to get anything but food and drinks. However it was still within a few mins drive to a host of eat in and out places. A grocery store that is open 24hrs is also only a couple mins up the road. The beach was a short drive or if you are up for a nice bike ride still close. The beach itself was awesome, definately not overcrowded like the main section of myrtle beach. True blue was so close to all this it was awesome. There was also a doctor surgery and a hospital very very close. Being in the middle of a golf course was awesome too and there was lots of families staying there which for us made us feel safe. Its a serene quite envrionment yet still allowed for kids to be kids. There are conditions with the pool and I think that is wonderful because it gives an added security to you and your family. We will be going back next year for a longer stay hopefully...this place offers a stress free getaway that suits our family. I would think it would be of benefit to singles couples or family. If you are looking for a night life its not too far away from the main myrtle area...but far enough for peace and serenity. The staff were also very accomodating and friendly and were very helpful with any requests and questions we had

Excellent customer service from Candi in getting us a unit with internet access. Beautiful peaceful location with all the amenities. Beach 5 minutes away. Great stay!

The place appeared very nice from the outside, but inside was very dirty. I'm not a neat freak but when you have 3 young children you expect the place to be clean. The room had dust 2 inches thick on everything. One bathroom toilet seat was broke with a big and very old crack in it. They did replace it the day we complained. The bathrooms had hair all over the floor and in the tubs. The comforters were filthy with crusty food stains on them. The room stunk of stale cigarette smoke (was supposed to be a non smoking room) and must/mold. There was a hole in one bathroom door and two window screens were broken and hanging off the windows. The patio screen was broken as well. The refrigerater had rust all over it and a foul smell. Very disappointed in the room.

I had never used hotels.com before this trip. I didn't know what to expect, and after reading some of the other reviews I was a little scared. I'm telling you now that our condo could NOT have been nicer! It was beyond clean!! Anything you could have possibly needed was there. We had a lovely 3 bedroom 3 bath unit that was better than being home. I kept seeing reviews on the terrible beds. Again, ours were like sleeping on a cloud!! None of us wanted to get out of bed to start our days. Pawley's Island had a nice quiet beach and we were just a short drive to the excitement and fun of Myrtal Beach. There were plenty of shopping and eating places close by. True Blue was a little hard to find. Especially the office! Speaking of the office, that was the only thing that desperately needed improving. The employee tending the check-in was extremely lacking in any kind of personality!!! Really, I've seen corpses with more emotions. Once we got past dealing with her, our stay at True Blue couldn't have been lovelier. I think I will use hotels.com again. I would definately like to return to True Blue. It was an enjoyable experience!

We all enjoyed our stay at the True Blue Resort. The rooms were nice. We are planning to come back again next year and staying at this hotel.

I'm convinced people who comment on anything on the web only want to write negative things. I saw a lot of negative comments about the beds at True Blue. All we know is our beds were AWESOME! If there was a problem with beds, they were resolved before our stay, at least in our unit. And 2BR/2BA unit anywhere close to Myrtle Beach for that price is a STEAL!

Would definitely recommend and stay again, had a great time and the surroundings where beautiful. The view from the screened in balcony in the morning was the best. My only complaint was the master bed was like sleeping on plywood and found the sofa bed to be more comfortable. Seeing these are rented condos, would definitely ask for a different room and hopefully with a more comfortable master bed.

the 2 bedroom condo was nice but dvd didn't work.... had dog hair in one of the bedrooms....revacuummed the room..and move to other bedroom thank goodness i didn't have an asthma attack from dog hair when said absolutely no pets allowed...

Overall, True Blue seems to be a nice resort and a great value. The pools are close, well-kept, quiet, and relaxing. The condos, however, seem to be hit-or-miss. The one next door to us was great with updates throughout, wood floors, new furniture, and a clean smell. Ours, though, smelled awful and appeared as if it hadn't been updated in 30 years. After 3 days, the smell dissipated somewhat, but was still rather disgusting and headache-inducing. It seemed like a mix of smoke and 100-year-old perfume used to try to mask another bad smell. Overall, I still definitely recommend the resort, but it may take a little more investigating to know what exactly you're getting as far as the specific condo goes. The value is almost unbeatable at a very reasonable cost so it is still worth the consideration.

Condo was definitely not what we expected. Room was ok, but would have rather paid an extra $50 to stay in a better more accommodating hotel. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher. One night when taking a shower had a huge roach fall on my back to my leg. Rooms were clean except for the pillows we were told by a note on our dresser not to use (why were they in the room to begin with?). Our dryer didn't work when we got there. We were told that someone would come look at it that day and never saw anyone. Lastly which isnt a biggie unless you are like my family, but there is NO wifi unless the condo owner has it.

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was a good fit for my family of 6. The only problem was the beds. They were hard as rocks. My kids loved the pool areas. Very short drive to beach. We would stay again.

Finding the main office was a hassle being as this was a condo development and the office was closed. Once we got our room we were surprised to see how large and comfortable it was. The room and view was wonderful. I could have lived in this place.

This resort was perfect for my family. It was home away from home. I really enjoyed it and plan to book this resort again next year!

I felt like i was house sitting for a freind who charged me rent. The privately owned villa we reserved had very cheap and hard mattresses that were very uncomfortable. Im sure the owners who rented it out would never sleep on them. the villa was very clean but there were no cleaning supplies for us to kept it up for the week we stayed. There were no kitchen linens for dishes and clean up after dinner. Last but not least there was an obvious insect problem! my family suffer insect bites of all kinds not to mention the frog we had to catch and evict from the second bedroom! I think that the resort agency should set some standards for the rentals and make sure each villa is not just clean and furnished but stocked with the items essential to enjoying that particular villa at that particular time of year. If the bugs are seasonal they should exterminate periodically!!!!

We enjoy our stay at this resort. We loved how the Villa was set up.while we were at Pawleys Island though we were bothered by mosquitos. We were almost afraid to leave the Villa. But overall it was a good trip.

The condo was more than we hoped for actually. I expected a small place with mediocre accomodations. We got a 3 bedroom condo, that was decorated with a beach/golf theme throughout. Master bedroom had a king size bed with attached bathroom and walk in closet. The other bedrooms had one queen size bed, and the other had two twins. The second bathroom was very large also and had a washer and dryer. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you may need to cook if you so desire. The living room was gorgeous and very comfortable. I brought laundry detergent but they provided one wash worth and one dishwasher soap. Luckily we have stayed in Myrtle Beach before and know that it is only about 15 minutes up the road. I paid way less than half the price of Myrtle to stay in Pawley's Island and the beach which is only a couple of minutes away is not crowded at all. I have friends in Pawley's Island and preferred to be close to them so I did not have to fight all that traffic. Less traffic, wonderful restaurants and a less crowded beach added up to a great stay. there is a pool and hot tub to use as well. If you want a condo with wifi you just have to ask. I believe she said soon they will all have it, but I will defenitely stay there again. When you turn in to True Blue as soon as you turn the office is to the right. The sign is low and can be missed. Just past the pond is where you turn.

Nice once we found it. No one staffed after 530pm and it is difficult to find. The lagoon is a breeding ground for misquitos and we were all bitten several times. No towels provided. Limited towels throughout. Had to do laundry twice just to have clean towels.

We arrived late after hours and quickly found the lockbox which contained our keys. The unit looked clean and was very spacious. Although we stayed on the south end of Myrtle Beach, we were not too far from activities and food. There are many pools on the resort which made them almost private. The best were hard but I found that to be a small price to pay for such amenities as a washer/drier, full size fridge, etc. If I had a complaint, it would be that more towels be supplied in the room. We were able to obtain more later but had to ask for them. Other than that, i would highly recommend staying here if you can handle a hard bed which I prefer anyway. It is about an hour to the Carolina Opry but was worth it not to be in the middle of everything. I would also say it was quiet. We were the only guests in our building for our entire stay.

Was very surprised with how nice the resort was. The kitchen was stocked with everything. The rooms were nice and clean. Having the washer and dryer was great. Had a hard time finding the place because of the address on Hotels.com and the people in the office clueless in giving directions but once I had an idea of where it was I found it no problem. From other reviews I was expecting something kind of simple and small. The cost was great not on the beach but a very sort drive and very closes to everything. Would go back in a heartbeat. Pawleys Island has a great beach and not a junkie or crowed as Myrtle Beach. Great place, Quite and comfortable.
