I stayed here due to a friend having a party in the function room at the hotel. The rooms are very dated. There was a huge water stain on our bedroom ceiling. The major problem is when getting ready for the party we wanted a bath but there was no hot water in the evening or the next day. Overall it is a place to sleep in a good location.

apart from it saying all rooms have shower/tub combination,, they dont,, we wanted o e with a bath but got a shower,,the reception did give us a key to look at another room with a bath, but on viewing it decided to stay put,, the other room had carpets that were so worn they were shiny,, so glad that was not our first room i would have slept in the car instead,, staff i must say were very polite, helpful and we did enjoy our stay and WOULD stay again

It is a lovely old hotel with a beautiful view. Excellent service, hotel amenities were good and location fantastic. The only points lost were for comfort as it was a bit hot and stuffy in the room. Other than that excellent stay.

well where do i start,a creaky old lift with a annoying alarm,which we avoided incase broke down lol took the 8 flights of stairs instead.the room was in urgent need of a update well like the rest of the hotel.to sum it all up the worst place have stayed in,NEVER AGAIN

No hot water for 2 days. Fixed by end of 2nd day. Friendly staff. Room was a bit cold. Room & bathroom were very clean. Very good for the price although breakfast should have been included in price. I could stay there again.

The hotel has a very tired appearance and is in need of some attention to detail. Rate appeared good until we found out it did not include breakfast. Breakfast was overpriced and overcooked - not appetising at all as it appeared to have been cooked too early and left in warming dishes far too long. Should have opted for breakfast in town!

just what i needed. staff so helpful as i had an "accident" with my luggage, extra strong bin bags supplied! highly suggest this venue. have large function room for hire too which i have attened many an event in. will be coming back soon x

Ok, the hotel is not expensive but the room I had was 'tired', to say the least. Old furniture and fittings, colour combination of yellow wall, orange wall (with deeper orange patch-up), white ceiling and blue carpet. If I could spell the word kaleidoscope, I'd use it. Windows filthy. Shower not very nice - discoloured grouting etc.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Room in desperate need of updating, very creaky bathroom floor and no shower!

Very poor hotel which was far too expensive for its conditions..

walking distance to town, sea and harbour. opposite leas cliffe halls. secure parking. clean comfy rooms just a little dated. had a great sea view. cold n windy outside nice n cosy inside. couldnt hear others staying in the hotel from inside our room.

A good place to stay for the night. Good quality for the low price. Rooms too hot, even though it was really cold outside. Slept with the window open.

It definitely does not deserve any more than it's current rating.The management seem to be totally amateur,unwelcoming and almost aloof. We were very disappointed to find no food service (only when they had coach parties in,even when I discovered the Hotel was full! Breakfast (full English) was offered at an extra cost of £7.00per head & when requesting just Croissants,butter & jam it was still going to be £14.00 per couple!! The room was adequate for a one night stay but the mattress was not very comfortable so was not a very good nights sleep.There is not much more to say, only that we could not honestly recommend it to friends or family. The prices mentioned are relevant because it was in the busy period of the year which is when it is likely to experience greater occupancy.

Tired old hotel, needs at the least a coat of paint, new bathrooms, new furniture and new beds. Yuk!

De inrichting is jaren 50, maar voor dat geld geen probleem.

ontbijt heel karig, dat hadden we voor hetzelfde geld onbeperkt en warm en zonder haar! En bovendien was er geen yoghurt oid...

The hotel is old, very run down and far away from former glory. The paint was getting off the walls on the very very small bathroom. But rooms and beds were very clean. The location is terrific with a first class view over the sea. Nice (stone-)beach down the cliff at the opposite side of the street. Folkestone is not large, but it was bigger and more lively than I expected.

Lage super. Keine Hotelinterne Verpflegung möglich ! Ausserordentlich lärmig ! auf der Aussenterasse wurden bis spät Drinks serviert, was in entsprechendem Lärm ausartete.

Cet hôtel est idéal pour un court séjour de quelques nuits pour ensuite rayonner et découvrir la région. Chambre spacieuse et propre, et si on a la chance d'avoir une chambre en façade, la vue sur la mer est splendide. On sent que l'hôtel a perdu de sa splendeur d'antan, mais il est très bien entretenu. Certes l'ensemble manque un peu de luminosité mais pour le prix, il est imbattable vu sa superbe situation. Un seul regret, l'absence de grand choix de restaurants dans les alentours pour se restaurer le soir.

Erg basic en gedateerd. Geen douche en alleen een bad is niet handig. Gehorig en een irritante lift. Bovendien kost parkeren ook nog eens 5 pond. Alleen engels ontbijt en geen continentaal ontbijt. Sterkte met uw bezoek.
