the payment to hotels.com suppose to cover the tax already. But the hotel still charged 6 euros tax. I just found out after I left Rome. The street is not very safe. Fake police stopped me and ask for passport. Suggest not to live in this neighborhood.

The the hotel was very pretty with pleasant staff and a great location but I have very mixed feelings about this place. The thermostat didn't work so the options were either constant heat, cold, or no air. So to balance the heat I had to keep the window cracked open which only made for waves of heat and cold and made sleeping difficult. Speaking of the large window, I was on the ground level so there was blind on the other side of the window that blocked nearly everything. Essentially it looked like a window but was essentially another wall. As I mentioned earlier the hotel is beautiful inside but my room was oddly arranged... there was a small desk nearly blocking the entry. To enter my room I had to carry my luggage over top of the desk as I squeezed by. Overall it wasn't a horrible experience but it wasn't great one either... as I said earlier very mixed feelings.

Although the room was very small, it was great for a short stay in Rome. More than anything, the location was extremely convenient. The hotel was clean, service was great, and overall I was very satisfied with my experience there.

A good value for the money. Had to pay for Wifi and it only worked down in the lobby very well. The room was decorated in a Victorian way which was pretty, but I had a single room and it was cramped. There was only 1 electrical plug which was used for the TV, lamp, and then anything I needed to charge. The bathroom was tight, but pretty with marble walls and a rectangular shower which was easier than the traditional triangle ones, which are very hard to shower in they are sooooooo small. The walls were thin and I could hear the person snoring next door in the night. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was yummy. It only took me about 5 minutes to get to the train station, Metro, and buses. There is a super market and restaurants near by. I would recommend this place.

If you need a hotel close to the train and some of Rome's attractions this is the hotel for you. If you are used to creature comforts like a tub, a soft bed, wi-fi in your room, space this is NOT the hotel for you. The wifi was not existent in the room and not very good in the lobby. The bed was hard as a rock, was actually two twin beds pushed together and when they came apart we could not get them back together.

I booked a single room for 2 nights. This was my second stay in Rome for this vacation, and I have traveled to Rome on several occasions, so I get it--hotel rooms are small and efficient. This one...well it was the size of a walk in closet. One side of the room had a single bed smashed in between a desk at one end and the mini-bar/15"tv There is BBC news and CNN on the tv for English speakers who need a morning news fix. There was about 2 feet of floor space beside the bed and that was it! So yeah, a closet with en-suite bath! The bathroom was fine--marble with shower only, bidet and toilet, minimal soap and shampoo. The room was clean, the service from the front desk was friendly and attentive. Slow Internet only works in a lounge downstairs for a fee. Free breakfast was minimal, but avoid the coffee machine unless you have a taste for instant coffee. Very convenient to Termini

Overall the location was the the greatest asset of this hotel. The room was tiny, although it was cleaned on a daily basis. It had a snall tv with local channels and two English news channels, CNN and BBC. The reception was helpful but stated they did not have Internet access at all when I asked if it was possible to print my flights boarding pass. Breakfast was fine, with cereal, cheese, juice, and pastries-great to start the day off. Overall it was a decent hotel, but being 3 minutes from Termini was s bonus.

The room was dirty and dusty. Both the shower and shower rose were broken and we had very little water pressure. The name of the hotel is not at all fitting. This is not a four star establishment. We actually checked out two days earlier, than what we had already booked and we happy to forego any loss.

Hotel is very nice for the money. Close to the main station, rooms are small, but comfy. Bathroom is updated. Breakfast is basic, but good. Neighborhood is convenient to the Metro, but avoid the Termini station, there are two others within a short walking distance that will get you around with minimal hassle. Staff is friendly and helpful and good restaurants located nearby.

Misleading photographs. There is no romantic balcony overlooking the skyline Just some plastic chairs on a concrete fire escape . No double king bed as requested just 2 twins pushed together . Tired looking rooms with cigarette burns in bed spread and plaster falling off walls. Secondary school across road with hundreds of kids shouting below our window at 8am every morning .

The Hotel is fairly old but well kept, the rooms were small (standard for Rome) but very clean, quiet and comfortable. The location is quite convenient, only a couple of blocks from 2 metro lines (red and blue). It was a good value for the money and perfect for a short stay in Rome within a budget. It has a couple of great restaurants in th vicinity and the neighborhood felt safe to walk around at night. I would stay here again.

Avoid if you can.! The hotel is dirty, old and very unpleasant! Horrible!

Hotel Champagne Garden is the third hotel I've stayed at in the area around the Termini Station in Rome, and was by far the nicest. The room was larger than others I have stayed in nearby (although not large by American motel standards) and the bed was extremely comfortable. I did have to pay for internet service, which was not the case at the other hotels I have stayed in nearby. Since I had an early morning flight, I had to leave before breakfast was served.

Very nice staff and close enough to Roma Termini. Limited services and Internet spotty. For a clean though somewhat spartan room and for sleeping only well suited.

Nice little place close to Termini. Its 3 blocks from the via Marsala exit from Termini. Room was a bit small but I guess this is the norm for central Rome. Staff was friendly, we left our bags after check-out until 5 pm.. Breakfast is included in the room rate. Definitely recommend for travelers looking for a centrally located hotel.

I had my worst experience of my Europe trip in this hotel. The hotel looked a bit old, made it rediculas to claim as a Four Star hotel. The hotel staff (the night shift guy) was horrible ! He ignored my request, and impolitely share and tease at my complain with other Italian customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very unhelpful, very impolite, very irresponsible.

This hotel is small, a bit rustic but has old Italian charm. It is within walking distance of the Termini. The staff all spoke very good English and were most helpful! The airline had lost our luggage and the staff contacted the airline for us and arragned to have our luggage sent to the hotel in our next destination in Italy. Extremely helpful and professional! The continental breakfast was the best we had in Rome with a wonderful self-serve coffee machine with all tyes of Italian specialty coffees!

We stayed here three nights and having stayed near termini station before, we knew the importance of being nearby. The staff was very helpful with meeting our needs. Breakfast was fine....typical continental breakfast with cold items. Room was clean, free Internet, and location was great. Metro and bus station was also at Termini. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great rate. Great location. Breakfast was included which was nice...nothing fancy but the usual juice, rolls and yogurt. We were given the room closest to the front desk--great if you don't want to hike stairs, but an obvious downside since it is literally 3 feet from the front desk. Wasn't too bad unless people talked to the front desk staff or slammed the front door. Friendly staff.

Hello, My partner and I stayed for 3 nights in Sept. The hotel was nice. It was a bit smaller than expected for a 4 star but in fairness it was comfy. My partner was pregant at the time and the staff where fantasic, very helpful and friendly. The location is great....3-5min walk MAX from Tremin Station which is where we got our train from the airport too. In the mornings the tour bus arrives at 9.15am at the stations which was great. We walked to most of the sites direct from hotel which was nice to be able to do in such lovely weather. There are some nice places to eat near hotel including a fresh fruit shall and supermarket. The breakfast in hotel is basic. Ham, cheese, breads, fruits, coffee (not nice).....it is ok , it served us well. Would we stay there again....yes. I would however consider a hotel with larger rooms when baby comes along.

Large, clean room near train station. Great value with free breakfast. Weird hair dryer, but I will definitely stay here if I return to Rome.

The Champagne Garden is overrated and overpriced. Definitively, it is not a 4-star hotel but an average quality bed and breakfast. They charge you for an Intenet connection that most of the time run really low (so, you can't make calls by Skype for example). The room was comfortable and clean but not a 4-star one at any extent: it had a safety box that didn't work, the TV (a very small size one) have just few channels and the bathroom ceiling came with a bad-looking hole (I suppouse for ventilation purposes). The breakfast was fine but not 4-star hotel quality... just a breakfast of ordinary quality. However, the location is great, being very close to Termini Station and just 10 minutes walk from the center but in very quiet neighbourhood. I would recommend it to you but do not have great expectations based on what you read in the hotel's webpage... It will mislead you!

As a woman traveling alone, this hotel was convenient to the Termini Station, felt safe and was a very clean room. I had no Italian language skills and found the front desk staff was a great help, bilingual and provided valuable suggestions

Perfect location - close to Termini station for ease of getting about. Quality hotel,,great service, very very clean, great breakfast and good value for money. We'll go back!

It was not worth the money that we paid to stay in this hotel. The only good thing about this hotel was the location. It was 5-10 minutes walking distance from the Termini Station in Rome. The area was OK, although a lot of graffiti everywhere and not so clean environment. My wife and I stayed there only 1 night prior to flying out of Rome. We had initially chosen this hotel for its location and the star ratings. The star rating (claimes to be a 4 ****) turned out to be a falls advertisement. This hotel definitely should be no more than 1 STAR (*). The two front desk clarks that we met that night were very rude to us. The room was really small and the bathroom was even smaller and the shower was one of the smallest that I have experienced in a so called 4 STAR (****) hotel. It was not worth the money. The internet and the telephone did not work in the room and the answers from the hotel clarks was that "we are pretty much out of luck". It was noisy at times, because they gave us a room right next (about 5 feet away) to the front desk. We did not eat breakfast (which was included), because we had to leave early to catch our flight. So, I am not sure how the breakfast was.

I was very apprehensive regarding the Hotel after reading some later reviews prior to travel and upon arrival in Rome my fears were unjustified. Very clean and well run Hotel in a location away from the noise of the City and they employ some very helpful reception staff who can talk english and man the desk area on a 24 7 basis. Our room was clean and was decorated in a late 18th century manner with a marble floored bathroom with an amazing hot shower along with the joys of a bidet. A little dated in places, but very good value for money and all the main attractiions are within 15 - the joys of a bidet. A little dated in places, but very good value for money.

The hotel was very convenient, closed to Rona Terminal where metro is available as well. The room was clean and comfortable. Staffs are nice and friendly. Breakfast was great.

Close to train station, good especially if you are staying for a short visit.

Ok perushotelli. Normaali aamupala, perusjuttuja, mutta pääsee liikkeelle sen avulla. Lähellä rautatieasemaa, n. 5 minuutin kävely asemalta oikealle. Lähellä on myös ruokapaikkoja. Ääniä ei kantautunut ulkoa, mutta hotellin respa keskusteli iltamyöhään ja se kaikui käytävillä, ehkäpä ylemmissä kerroksissa vielä rauhallisempaa. Ei ihan luksus mutta sijainti ok.

haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, ziemlich zentral gelegen , Frühstück war spitze und eine gute Grundlage für den Tag. Betten waren sehr gut.Sehr nettes Personal.

Très bonne situation géographique, les chambres sont correctes par contre le petit déj est basique, jus de fruit industriel, et surtout il y a eu un problème d'eau chaude qui ne nous as pas permis de prendre de douche pendant 1 journée + 1 soirée entière pas top sur un weekend de 3 jours...

O wifi do hotel deixa muito a desejar! Mas a localização é muito boa e o atendimento excelente!

Pieni, rauhallinen hotelli. Vähän meteliä tulee läheiseltä kadulta, mutta ei yöisin haitannut. Aamupala ok. Vähän suppea, mutta kyllä sillä pärjäsi ihan hyvin pitkälle päivään. Ystävällinen palvelu. Huoneet vähän tunkkaiset ja värityksiltään raskaat, mutta eipä tuolla yleensä huoneissa paljon olla. Lyhyt kävelymatka joko Termiinille tai Castro Petorio metroasemille. Mutta Roomassa on helppo kävellä moniin nähtävyyksiin. Esim tuosta hotellista Collosseum n. 2 km.
