Gran Hotel El Tope - بويرتو دي لا كروز

The hotel was clean, the room was small with only a single bed when I had booked a twin room. In general it was fine, one of the gentlemen at the reception was a lot more friendly and helpful than the other. English was spoken well by most staff which was useful. The location is good, a short walk to the main strip full of restaurants and the beach. Just need to remember that booking a 4 star hotel in Europe usually means a 3 star in the UK .

The hotel was very clean, well maintained. The hotel staff was very friendly and assisted us any time we asked. The food was buffet style and was very good. The dining room was very clean.

Nuestra estancia en el hotel nos ha sido muy grata,la verdad es que el hotel esta bastante bien, un poco antiguo pero bien conservado, estuvimos en media pensión y creo que fue bastante correcto tanto el desayuno como la cena, por poner alguna pega quizás el horario de la cena solo hasta las 21,30, pero bueno algo pasable sabiendo que en la penínsulas serian las22,30. En cuanto al personal el de comedor espectacular en su servicio y atención sin llegar a ser empalagoso, muy correctos educados y agradables. Referente a la ubicación decir que es buena la única pega son las dichosas escaleras para bajar andando al centro, sobre todo como es normal a la hora de la vuelta cuando hay que subirlas, se hacen interminables. En general pondría un notable alto. Repetiría sin dudarlo

К достоинствам отеля могу отнести: хороший "шведский стол". Завтраки с тремя видами "Шампанского", свежевыжатыми соками, фруктами и пр. Один раз мы опоздали на ужин. Но у меня спросили номер комнаты и принесли через десять минут в номер на подносе закуски и напитки. Отель имеет собственную парковку для машин. Вечером она заполнена. Но в любом случае, для нашей машины всегда находили место. В отеле есть всевозможные салоны, бассейн, бары, по вечерам - живая музыка, красивый интерьер общественных мест. В отеле очень тихо, спокойно. Отдыхающие - в основном пожилые пары, пенсионеры. Недостатки: спуск к морю по ступенькам, по которым нужно потом подниматься. Уборка нашего номера была некачественной.

Bästa läget i Puerto de la Cruz, centralt men ändå på en höjd vilket gör att alla rum, från våning ett och uppåt och fantastisk utsikt över stan och havet. Middagsbuffén är superb och dessutom väldigt varierande.

Das Hotel liegt hoch über der Stadt. Entsprechend abenteuerlich ist der Blick, aber endsprechend steil ist auch der Weg über die Treppe nach oben. Das Hotel ist zwar schon älter, aber recht gut gepflegt. Personal sehr motoviert und freundlich. Es gibt mitunter ein Parkplatzproblem. DAs FRühstück und Abendessen verdient Lob. Man sollte darüber aber nicht versäumen einige der netten Restaurants im Ort zu erproben.

By international standards not superior class, but a very good hotel for Tenerif! I was pleasantly surprised. Clientele is mostly German and English and of varying ages, with the bulk formed by couples in their fifties. Rooms are clean and of adequate size. I had the seaview, which was really nice, although I didn't spend much time in the balcony. Standard old-school TV, rather comfy beds. The fridge worked well, and proved extremely useful. Breakfast buffet as expected. You get your standard cereals, yoghurt, 2nd rate bread of different types, with local charcuteries and cheese, etc. Sparkling wine adds a nice touch (but who drinks a) in the morning, b) demi-sec?). Also plenty of sausages, hash browns, beans - and a chef who'll fry you an egg or two, for those more inclined for the heavier breakfast. Some fruits as well. Genuinely friendly waiters. The hotel has a wifi, but only at the lobby and the two bars. There is a tiny gym downstairs, run (and used) by some local athletes. It costs you extra to use it, but you also get to use the sauna and the jacuzzi. Or that's what they say - when you try to use the jacuzzi it might suddenly be "broken", as happened to me. Gym equipment is old, and the gym is really small, but for some this is adequate for the occasional quick excercise. Up to you. Twice a week the lobby bar is taken over by one of the local entertainers, with the age-proven formula of one guy and a synthesizer slaughtering all the classics. This proves especially burdensome since wifi is only accessible in areas where you are at the mercy of the entertainer. Then again, most people hopefully do not need a wifi on their holidays. Location was good for me. Within 15 min walk from the main plaza (Charco), and ~7mins from the sea. Some step climbing required to reach the hotel everytime you come back to the hotel. Overall this was a very pleasant surprise of a hotel. If I ever go back to Tenerif, I would probably choose the same hotel again.
