Carlton Shearwater Hotel Galway - باليناسلو

We have stayed in this hotel many times. When we book our room we always ask for a quiet room as we're staying with our baby. The receptionists are always very friendly and the rooms are always 100% clean. The only minor annoyance for us was the CBBS channel had no signal which would have bought us an extra hour in bed with junior :) Highly recommend this hotel

Stayed one night only and did not expect much for the very reasonable price, but this hotel exceeded our expectations. The receptionist was exceptionally pleasant and helpful and the room nicely furnished, large and clean. There was a large prom party but the receptionist and the maitre d' were keen to ensure this did not affect our stay - which it did not. We ate in the other restaurant and the kitchen managed to prepare an excellent meal promptly despite having so many to cater for. The restaurant staff were very pleasant and efficient. We did not have breakfast so can't comment..

Lovely hotel with great facilities. Stayed at a very busy weekend and found breakfast time a bit chaotic - service was slow with many tables littered with dishes and too few staff to clear whilst being able to serve! Quality of food was good though.

i stayed in this hotel with my girlfriend a week back its a lovely hotel very clean.The only bad point off our stay was that we were told the resturant was booked out but every table was empty.

we have stayed in this hotel before and really enjoyed,so decided to return. The hotel is lovely and comfortable and the food is lovely. while the reception staff and most of the bar staff were lovely,we were left extremly annoyed with the attitude of some. we decided to watch a football match in the bar,and at half time the bar switched channel and refused to show the second half. understandable if the bar was full,but there was only about 10 in the bar and all watching the match. when the match was not put back on everyone left to find somewhere else to watch it. i thought it was desperate customer service,and was shocked to see that the bar staff would rather watch everyone leave than to change the channel back. what happened to the customer is always right!!

Very comfortable in all respects but - stayed on a Sunday night - band music drummed thru' the bedroom until 1230am. Suggest asking for a room well away from the 'music'. We were not offered an alternative room.

Stayed in this hotel for a wedding recently and would recommend it to anybody. It was very clean and the room was very spacious and modern and the hotel in general was very nice and the staff very friendly.

i stayed here with my girlfriend and 6yr old daughter the hotel was very clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing few days, good food, nice bar, pool, sauna, steam room etc, there is a kids club that runs twice a day, 10am till 12 noon then 7pm till 10pm, there is a charge of £5 per session and it was well worth it, my daughter loved every minute of it, colouring, swimming, baking etc, oh and dinner is included, the girls that run the kids club were lovely and cant do enough for the kids, they will even pick them up and drop back to their room all safe and sound, staff were very friendly throughout the hotel, reception, bar, resturaunt, spa etc, a very enjoyable stay!!

The parking is amazing, the food is very good, and the staff dedicated to providing service. The hotel was easy to find and the perfect location for starting a tour around Ireland after seeing Dublin.

We have stayed here twice and we loved it. The Carlton Shearwater is an excellent spot to go and unwind, visit the spa, have a swim and enjoy delicious food. It is a new hotel so the rooms are very modern, clean and comfortable. The bar is large and perfect for couples with kids who want to enjoy some good food and a drink. But also big enough that if you don't have kids you won't be surrounded by them. We have went with and without kids and both times it was a lovely experience. There is little to see around Loughrea itself, but its nice to just take a stroll through the market town. (There are a few historical sights within a half hour drive). Choose this hotel if your trip is all about experiencing a nice hotel!!

this is a new hotel with all the comforts one would get with a new building. staff were very friendly and welcoming

This hotel and staff was delightful, helpful, funny, and very caring, The only downside was the food at breakfast...could not get and egg cooked right so finally gave up. Would most certainly stay there again and hope to.

The closest to an American room you will find in Ireland. Large room, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Only complaint is that the room had a few stains on the floor and desk (as if someone had spilled something that would not come out). The hotel bar had great food and our waitress, Siobhan, was top-notch!

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel, the first time I stayed overnight on business. On this occasion it was for a wedding and I stayed with my partner. The hotel is very well situated as a base to stay and visit the midlands. The hotel is just off the new Dublin - Galway M6 making all areas accessible. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a suite after booking our room on-line! The rooms like the hotel are new, very clean and tastefully decorated. The bathroom, bedrooms, linen, beds are very generous, spacious and comfortable. We noted flatscreen TVs and internet access, however we did not use. The wedding reception was without fault, from the initial entrance reception, lighting and decor of the function room, silver service at meal, sound system and giant screen presentations after speeches, food and drink. The layout of the hotel for a wedding is again very generous, with large open reception areas, immaculate toilet facilities and a great bar for after the wedding. We didn't avail of the leisure facilities or spa, as the wedding went into the early hours! Thank you to all for a great stay.

Stayed here last weekend when my wife was in hospital. Hotel is very clean and modern and staff were friendly and efficient. The only negative that makes me not recommend it was the temperature of the room. It was freezing! The heat is unfortunately is on the same loop as the rest of the electrics in tthe room which means your key card has to be in hte slot for the heat to work. A ridiculous setup. When I arrived in my room, I cleverly decided to put the heat on the max setting and leave my keycard in the slot and go for a drink. I arrived back in my room later (coutesy of a new keycard) but there was no change. Still freezing. I called the night porter to ask for a heater and he explained that I hadn't turned on the heat correctly. Two switches. One had red and blue, the other had 0,1,2,3 and Auto. I assumed 3 was the highest setting and slected that with red, however it seems the heat would only work with auto selected. By morning the room was comfortable, but I had to sleep in my clothes. Im really disappointed that I can't recommend this hotel. If common sense had been applied to make sure heating was working in rooms, especially considering the weather last weekend, it could be a different story. I intended to mention it at check out, but I wasn't asked about my stay and in fairness, heating shouldn't be an option when the cold weather was beating the economic crisis to the top of the news..

My husband and I attended a family wedding on 06 August 2010 and were very impressed with the high standard of the hotel. The meal was top class as was the service. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was self service and was very tasty. We were very impressed with the fresh fruit salad and the mushrooms. We are attending another wedding there on 04 September 2010 - looking forward to it already.

My recent stay at the Carlton Shearwater was outstanding. The front desk personnel were friendly and efficient, the room was large, clean, quiet and well appointed and the spa area was one of the best I've seen anywhere, with a large assortment of weights and treadmills along with a very large swimming pool and jacuzzi. First class all the way.

Really nice relaxing hotel with great facilities in the room. We also had dinner in the hotel which was superb. I would recommend that as Tesco is close by people avoid paying the price for the breakfast.

Booked three rooms for friends and everyone was impressed.

hotel was very nice , room spotless and very comfortable bed ! staff were very friendly

The room we received was a handicap room. Neither of us is handicaped. The staff stated that the reason for us getting this room was that the hotel was full. We felt that we probably had reserved this room before other non-handicaped persons. A handicapped room for non-handicapped individuals is doable, but not the best. However, the room was spotless. The location of the hotel nothing special, but neither is the town.

personnels très sympa, chambre spacieuse, grand lit très confortable. L'hotel est situé dans une petite ville où il n'y a pas beaucoup d'animation le soir. la nourriture servie au restaurant et au bar de l'hôtel est très bonne aussi.

I really enjoyed this hotel. If there is not a charm, it is very clean and efficient, you are in a real Carlton Hotel, 2 years old only (2011). Brasileirada, vai que vale a pena.
