Nice hotel, rooms very good. bar food was good, but had to weit 25 minutes for a burger. I was looking foward in getting to the hotel and having a run on the treadmill, but the two treadmills were broken and by the looks of them they were this way for a while. thats my low point for this hotel. staff were very helpful and nice. would recommed this hotel.

Really love this hotel. Have stayed several times . Would recommend it for food, comfort ,pleasant staff,free parking and all at a reasonable price.

Really nice hotel with large secure car park. Comfortable room and nice bathroom. Good location as approx €20 taxi from town and walking distance to Luas as red cow which is about €2 one way. If don't want the hassle of driving into city centre then it's a good spot as it's just off main road into Dublin from cork. Bad point is that entrance to hotel is difficult to spot and can easily drive past it. Have to go into bus lane to get into hotels car park otherwise it's very difficult to turn around.

We stayed in the Louis Fitzgerald on the Naas Road after spending a long day in Dublin city. We got 2 rooms on the 4th. floor for three of us. The rooms were spotless, well soundproofed and very comfortable. The staff on reception and in the bar/restaurant were very pleasent and polite.We had a late bar-food snack after arriving which was delicous and good value. The breakfast on the following morning was great; loads of great hot and cold foods - eggs and porridge were cooked to order. Overall the hotel was excellent value for money. We really enjoyed our stay. We will definetly stay there again

Clean rooms and friendly staff.

This hotel is lovely. The staff are very nice and very helpful. The rooms are basic but for the price what would you be looking for. Spotless and food is lovely.

There is not much in the way of sites around this hotel, but it is conveniently located to get to and from the airport which is what we used it for. To get downtown it is near the Red Cow stop on the red line (5-10 minute walk), and then about 40 minute metro ride.

Room at front of hotel and alot of road traffic noise

Comfortable hotel, well positioned for the south bound motorway out of Dublin and the M50. Secure underground parking.

I've spent a couple of months working at a business park close to this hotel. Its extremely good value, always clean, staff always very friendly, rooms are great and the complimentary shuttle bus to get between the hotel and the office is excellent and a very big plus as its not the easiest hotel to get to from the business park. If I'm coming back to the area this hotel would be my No1 choice. Highly recommended

We were unable to fly home due to the hurricane in the US. I booked the hotel on line from Brussels because we preferred staying in Ireland for the few extra days. The hotel was rated 4 stars; I did not find this to be an accurate rating. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast (not included in room rate) was fine, but the rooms and the lobby were not up to 4 star standards. The mattresses and bedding were budget quality and the bathroom had poor ventilation and terrible water pressure in the shower. I would recommend the hotel as a budget option but cannot recommend it at the current 4 star rating.

Nice modern hotel room was large and comfertable, The only problem was the first two nights there was a lot of young Americans running up and down the corridor outside my room the rest of my stay was OK

loved our stay there,the staff were great very helpful. food is outstanding. only problem i had was the bed, i never like it when 2 single beds are put together to make one bed.

Nothing has been made us feel welcome Staff not welcoming when we arrived, no smile, no kindness. The housekeepers knocked at the door nearly five times since 9 a.m. to clean the room and even came in without being invited. It's very unpleasant.

Postives: The hotel staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast bar was great. The price was reasonable. Negatives: The mattresses were terribly uncomfortable. The main power switch in the room often went out inexplicably and the TV would sometimes not turn on. The room windows only open at an odd angle and not very wide, so it was unbearably hot in our room at times; in a country where A/C is rare, you'd think that they'd at least include a fan or the ability to open the windows wider in the summer... Overall: I wouldn't stay here again nor recommend it to others.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at The Louis Fitzgerald. Staff were extremely professional, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Food in the bar was excellent. Breakfast was good. However, our room and the hall was stifling hot. It was not possible to open the window due to noise outside. Therefore, our one and three year olds did not sleep the first night at all (usually great sleepers!) and the second night it took a long time for them to settle. At checkout I mentioned the above and was informed fans are available and staff are aware of the heat being a problem. I think the rooms should be equipped with such fans, as had I been informed I would have requested one from the start. Also, I booked this hotel thinking that as its a four star it would have a pool and actually asked after breakfast what the pool opening hours were! Unfortunately this hotel does not work for us and we would be reluctant to return,

We booked this hotel as a get away break to Dublin which we enjoyed. However the hotel is more for corporate or wedding/party functions. Some reception staff were not very interested in any queries we had concerning transport or getting around Dublin. We reported fan in bathroom not working but no person came to look at this in our six day stay. Also noisy when a wedding function was on. Children were running around corridors of hotel as key cards were not functioning on corridor doors.

Enjoyed our stay at the Louis Fitzgerald hotel, everything was very nice, staff were lovely, breakfast was superb. The only fault we had was with the shower, it wasnt very good, other than that, excellent! We will definately stay there again when we go to Dublin. Siobhan & Philip

This hotel is great value for money.

The location is not convenient. You have to enter and exit the hotel on a bus lane. The surrounding area is quite depressing. our room looked out on a vacant factory. The room was hot even with the radiator turned off, no air conditioning. One small window could be opened slightly. The only problem with opening the window is that the road noise level is unacceptable at night

Excellent customer service - it's a pity all hotels don't follow their example

We wanted a hotel on the outskirts of the city of Dublin, located on our route home and competively priced. The Louis Fitz ticked all those boxes. Hotel offers a shuttle bus to and from the LUAS (free). Ample parking space. Rooms very tidy, spacious and comfortable. Definite recommendation without hesistation.

The hotel is very nice (similar to a 4 star in the US). There is WI-FI in the room with many conveniences. However, if you are traveling by bus or train and not driving, then the location is not very convenient. The walk from the "Red Cow" stop will take at least 20 minutes without luggage. Once at the hotel there is an AM or a PM shuttle to the Luas (bus terminal) daily but it stops at 7 PM so if you plan a late night in Dublin then you'll have to walk 20 minutes to the hotel or pay at least 9 EURO for a taxi. Despite its location,the hotel is very nice and a very nice to stay.

Serving staff at wedding could not be any better.

I had the misfortune to tear a top in the metal piece of the bathroom door lock. It was oversised and consequently not fluhed with the door frame... such a pity! I notified reception about it... hopefully it gets fixed.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice bar/lounge area. Only gripe was that reception staff were not able to recommend a local Indian restaurant.

I've never written a review before, but the staff at this hotel so impressed me I had to write. Best service I've ever received overseas. Everyone very helpful and courteous, rooms clean, the food was best we've had at a hotel in Ireland, and we've been to Ireland 20 times, so that is saying a lot. Only thing staff didn't know was times Flybus picked up at local stop. Only drawback is that, while hotel is within 15 minute walk of Flybus/bus stand and LUAS, when it's raining, it would be nice if it were closer.

The queen sized bed was just two twin beds pushed together. The beds also came with only two pillows.

Haveing stayed here many times, I find it a shame to have to report a drop in standards for what is a 4* hotel. The rooms are excellent as is the free wifi and all of the irish staff are helpful and courteous. The main area of let down is the Breakfast. for 2 days in a row this week the crockery was dirty. The service is slow and you have to repeatedly ask for items which should be standard. When you arrive they ask your drink of choice and toast preference. Typically you then wait 20 minutes for a rack of either cold toast or more often warm bread. I am staggered to find a kitchen that can make your breakfast incapable of making toast. Evening meals are good and the Irish staff are excellent, I just can't help feeling the staff from other countries are not aware of what is expected in a 4* hotel. Unfortunately I will now be looking at alternatives which is a shame as I have stayed here a dozen time in the last 18 months

I couldn't fault the quality of the hotel one bit. Room, food and service was brilliant. The location isn't the best though. Had to run across a 4 lane road leading to the motorway to get to the bus stop from the hotel. They have a shuttle bus which was helpful getting to the hotel but it doesn't do return trips on sundays.

Very close to the luas which made it very handy getting to the city centre and the point, we were interrupted during the night by other guests knocking persistantly on doors near ours. We told the receptionist but she just said, that's young people for you. Apart from this everything was excellent, great value and service.

The Hotel was lovely with nice athmosphere. Staff were courteous. Slight complaint would be that we were supposed to get a king sized bed and it wasn't. The rooms was nice and warm.

My only problem was I paid extra for a king sized bed and got a double bed, but I didn't bother to complain.
