The Dominican Hotel - بروكسل

A very convenient location near De bruckere Metro, ideal for business accomodation with reasonable rates. modern style ambient atmosphere and welcoming warm staff and rooms. Only negative is the not so exciting view from the room windows and some noise coming from an engine at the roof as i had a room on the top floor but cannot consider these as important issues. Will definitely use this hotel again in the future.

I fancy this hotel and it gave me much comfort staying here after a busy day. Its a favorite!

Good hotel in good location, just 3 or 4 minutes walk north of the Grand Place. We walked from the eurostar terminal which took around 30 minutes. Hotel is good value - only downside is over-priced breakfast.

Lovely hotel with a great bar and very comfortable rooms.

Used to live in Brussels so knew what I wanted. Perfect location. Fabulous hotel although blinds seemed to be transparent which was a little disconcerting. Didn't book breakfast as it is not value for money and it's much nicer to go out for breakfast and sit in a nearby local cafe. Customer service excellent. Having visited 100s of hotels in Brussels as part of job, this is my favourite!

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The decor was extraordinary and very modern, our room was a terrific size, very clean and stylish, and the staff were always happy to assist. It is in a perfect location too - highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the Dominican. Great service from reception staff and loved the decadent bar. Only gripe was the room lacked a drawer or two to put stuff away in (a large wardrobe though), but otherwise very comfortable. Immediate area is not the prettiest, but close enough to stroll easily to central sights and worth it for such a lovely hotel.

The hotel is updated and impressive with high ceilings and beautiful decor. The room would have been great for two but it was definitely not meant for 3 people. We were expecting a deluxe room for 3 but instead we got a room that can only fit 2 beds and as a result, it was really hard to move with the third bed in the room! The bathroom is newly renovated and the shower is amazing but the room size was defintiely a downer. We would definitely come back but only if we are two!

When we were checking in, the hotel thought we were there for just one night but we had the paper copy from hotels.com with us showing we had pre-paid for two. The front desk guy made a call and all was resolved within a few minutes. He was very polite and professional about it and apologized for the delay. The amenties were nice and the bed was VERY comfortable and made for a good sleep. My only complaint was the long black hair on the towel...otherwise it was a very clean bathroom.

This hotel is beautifully designed, very comfortable and elegant. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent - a quick walk to the historic district. We were there is Oct and the room was a bit hot. But otherwise, it was perfect! We were sorry not to be able to stay longer!

Way to expensive compared to other cities and hotels

The Dominican is an excellent hotel which is well-located in the centre of Brussels, in a quiet side street near the Grand'Place. Bedroom was perhaps a fraction smaller than some of the major chain hotels but comfortable and well fitted out. Free wi-fi. Rooms have a choice of shower or bath, not both. Location in a side street means that there is hardly any noise from traffic. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. I liked the breakfast room location overlooking a peaceful inner courtyard. As a regular business visitor to Brussels I have tried most of the main central hotels but never really been taken by any of them. Having found the Dominican, I will certainly be going back there.

Couldn't say a single thing was wrong with this hotel. I stayed here for my 30th Birthday and the staff were wonderful, the hotel was extremely trendy clean and the bed is sooooo comfortable. Thanks for looking after me. Would definitly stay here again.

I stayed one night at this hotel with my family. It was fantastic. Very close to the main square. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Only one thing... we wanted to have teeth brushes. But it is good for ecology.

This hotel is absolutely recommendable to anyone who appreciates good service, clean and stylish rooms and a perfect location right in the middle of Bruxelles.

Attractive boutique hotel located short walk from Grand Place and very central. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is attractive design Two negatives were 1 quality of cleaning of rooms there was dirt on the floor and I had to call to have supplies replaced 2 a rip off in the Resturant where I was told that I could not have tap water and discovered that the bottle of water I then ordered was charged at €8 when I got the bill. This was compounded by very slow service and the discovery that (at least) part of my meal came from a pre prepared package. At their prices there should have been a proper chef cooking from basic indigredients.

We stayed at the Dominican in July 2011. The exterior is old but the public areas and rooms are completely redone. While not large, the room was well designed to make good use of built-in desk, bench, closets and storage. We never felt cramped or confined. Bed was very comfortable. We used the free internet computers off the lobby, rather than the complimentary internet in the room. Speed was good and there was no login required. The in room coffee machine made a great cup of coffee, although we never found out the meaning of the different colored coffee pods. We also did not have a chance to try the hotel’s restaurants. Location proved very convenient. It is walkable from the central train station. The (back of the) opera house is across the street and the Saint-Hubert Royal Galleries is around the corner. There we found great restaurants, cafes and chocolate. Walk through the gallery and you are a block from the main square and three blocks from the Mannequin Pis. A great hotel in a great location for a vacation in Brussels.

This was a great hotel in Brussels! There was much attention given to comfort and details and the place was amazing! Service was incredible from check-in to the bar to check-out. The rooms were very comfortable, beds amazing and such great touches as in room espresso, piped in music, flat screen TVs and a seating area by the window to read. We were close to so many things but enjoyed returning to the tranquility and comfort of our hotel. I would recommend this to anyone and would return if back in the area!

This hotel deserves five stars!

We stayed for two nights at the Dominican Hotel in Brussels and loved every moment. The hotel staff was extraordinarily helpful and gave us many great recommendations on things to do. The hotel itself is beautiful and you can tell there were no cut corners. Fitness and spa facilities were wonderful and a great way to help relax. The only issue we had was when we requested a cot for our second night, we were told the room was too small for a cot (even though to me it seemed like there would have been plenty of space). Although it was probably a good thing that we didn't get one because a cot costs 50 Euros per night. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Brussels.

The Dominican is a very contemporary hotel in its cool, minimalist design. It felt good and was extremely comfortable - excellent bed, good bathroom with terrific shower. We could have done without the Dominican church music playing in the lifts but if you've got a hotel theme I suppose that you have to play to it. Excellent central location near Galeries St Hubert and la Mort Subite.

This was an enjoyable hotel to stay at and I have noted it for future stays in Brussels. That being said, if you demand silence when you sleep, or sleep early, you should know that like many old buildings the walls are a bit thin and noise from other rooms transmitts to adjoining rooms.( All noise died out around 11pm duing my stay). This is not a hotel where you will have to face droves of misbehaving yobs. It is cultured, relaxed and conveniently located. My only concern was I felt the floors of the bathrooms should have been mopped or cleaned before my arrival. There was a stickiness (with matching spots) on the tiles which was not universal to the tiled area and rather suprised me. Bedding, windows, drapery, carpet etc were all extremely clean.

INCREDIBLE! We truly loved everything about The Dominican Hotel. From the front entrance, staff, lobby to the rooms and LOCATION, everything exceeded our expectations. The location was PERFECT with walking distance to the Grand Place, historic streets of Brussels and the Train station. We would stay there again in a heartbeat and would reccomend to anyone!

We chose the Dominican because it was moderate walkable distance to Gare Central, Grand Place, The Bourse and Upper and Lower Town. We loved the soundtrack of monks chanting in the elevators. Although pricey, the breakfast buffet is bountiful and delicious and served in a spacious dining area. The hotel seems to be used for company meetings but we never felt crowded or noticed much noise. The Dominican is an impressive place to stay.

This hotel was absolutely stunning! We got a great value for such a lovely place. The location was fantastic and the decor and style of the hotel was amazing. I would definitely go back and stay at The Dominican and highly recommend it for a stay in Brussels!

This is a beautiful hotel, smart and comfortable. I've stayed here twice now and would look out for an offer again. Although it's 4*, it was far superior in every way to the Hilton (5*) which is the other hotel we've stayed at in Brussels recently. Our room had one of the best beds I've ever slept in, it was nice and quiet and there was an overall feeling of luxury. The *only* negative thing was there was no milk for a cup of tea - in fact, the tea and coffee facilities were more style than substance.

I booked a room for April 2-4, 2010. Great deal for a comfortable, safe, and semi-upscale hotel in the center of Brussels' touristy area. Comfortable beds and upgraded shower with showerhead suspended from ceiling made the brief time in the hotel room very relaxing. Free wifi throughout hotel, too. We didn't sample any food or drink inside the hotel, but the Grand Palais is a 3-minute walk away. One hotel desk girl may have been new to town, because she couldn't tell us how to get to several popular places (e.g. Atomium). Other girl quickly helped out, though. Not a problem at all. GETTING TO THE HOTEL: I emailed the hotel for directions from the airport, and it didn't work out. Some locals helped me out by redirecting me, and then I decided to write my suggestion in this review. From the airport, wait in the long lines to buy a ticket to Central Station (5,10 Euros). Once disembarked at Central Train Station, you need to walk nearby to Central Gare (where the subway runs through) and ride to "de Broukere." It's only one stop away, but it'll make life much easier for you if you have luggage. Exit de Broukere and ask a local on the street for Rue de Leopold. The hotel is a 2-minute walk from the metro/subway stop.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, but they need to put more than one person at the front desk. That person has to handle everyone in line and answer the phone and attend to other things. The wait could be a little long.

Beautiful hotel. Very close to Grand Place and all the restaurants and night life. The room was great with a large bed of high quality. The bar was beautiful and modern. One minor thing: the television set didn't work in our room. We reported it to the reception, and they told us how to reset it, but it just didn't work whatever we tried, so finally we gave up (we were hardly there anyway). Other than that, I found it a really beautiful hotel. Highly recommended.

I thought the Dominican hotel was great. Aas a frequent traveller for both work and pleasure, i thought it was a cool and clean.

Room and hotel very nicely presented, however the waiter was nothing other than rude at dinner which took the shine off a great hotel and facilities. Would not put me off going back but disappointing service for such a good hotel.

一人で３泊しました。MIDI駅からタクシーで15€弱でした。感想としては宿泊して良かったと思っていますが、数年後に今回の宿泊料金で滞在するとなるとそれだけの値はないと思います。理由としては、部屋の清掃があまりなっていません。机や棚のほこり，ロールカーテンの汚れや損傷等です。気になる程度なので、自分で拭いたりで対処はできますが、このままだと設備の悪化が想像つきます。かなり残念です。

Mycket fint, modernt och väldesignat hotell mitt i stan. Magnifik lobby, väldesignade hotellrum och badrum. Mindre bastu och ångbastu i anslutning till gymmet. Kyrkomusiken som hörs svagt i både hiss och hotellrum förstärker upplevelsen! Mycket prisvärt, rekommenderas varmt.

Hôtel refait a neuf très bien place pour toutes les visites a pied personnel très agréable et chambre sans aucune nuisance sonore Seul bémol le prix du petit dej a 27 euros et les repas qui ne sont pas tout a fait a la hauteur de l hôtel

サービスが良いホテルでした。フライトの都合で朝の9時に到着しましたが、部屋が用意できるからと9時にチェックインさせてくれました。　部屋の清掃が雑（使用済みのコーヒーカップが交換されていない、ネスプレッソンのカプセルがない、トイレの清掃がされてない日がある）なのが残念ですが、フロントに言うと直ぐに対応してくれますし、このホテルを選択しない理由にはならないと思います。
