Castle Halii Kai at Waikoloa - ويكولوا

We are only a few days into our stay, but do not be fooled by the Overview of the property. While the first three words are :"On the beach", the closest beach is down the road at the Marriott. There is no beach access from this property. Furthermore, if you smoke then this isn't a place for you. While I would never condone smoking in the room, they do not allow you to smoke on your patio either. There aren't any signs saying so and it isn't on the Overview, but the permanent guests will be quick to tell you. They have designated smoking areas which I would never allow my wife to walk to at night should she wish to smoke and are rather inconvenient at any time.. This isn't part of the Overview which to many people is a big deal. Lastly, the office closes at 8pm and the restaurant and bar close shortly after. That is slightly inconvenient. Otherwise, this is a regular condo and if you want to stay at a quiet community then have at it. The rooms are clean and it has plenty of room. If you want a place with some life where you can walk out the beach and not be besieged by the permanent residents about smoking while outside then I would suggest another property.

Resort was OK overall for the high price tag-The unit 7G had poor carpet cleaning and was a little dirty. The real issue with the resort is that if you expect people to hand over 500-600$ a night for a 3 bedroom apartment-you better give them a good time. The pool area is small and unfriendly to kids. They can't bring in inflatable toys, they cant go in the hottub (attendant told me there is a LAW that children under 6 can't go into the hottub even with a parent, which is not true) and there are not enough loungers and NO umbrellas. Every night adults can get rowdy though-that doesn't seem to be an issue!

The pool was great, but based on the rate we were paying i felt as though it wasn't great value. The condo was supposed be a premium but it felt small and slightly dated. There was no beach and the lanai was also quite small with sub standard furniture. We moved into a condo on the mauna lani property 3 days later and it is half the price and much larger with a beautiful view. My reco - hali i kai is not really worth the money.

This condo resort community is beautiful! Unit 17c is so beautifully decorated and is within a hop skip jump of the gorgeous pool, gym and poolside restaurant/bar. Great place for families or couples looking for quiet relaxing spot. Public beaches short drive and tons of shopping, golf and food options within walking distance. Highly recommend it!

We loved this location, the apartment was very large for 2 people, and well maintained. Facilities were abundant. The pool area is a little smaller than some of the neighbouring resorts but still very nice and relaxing with great views of those Hawaiian sunsets. We occassionally snuck into the Hilton next door which had its own private beach and lagoon, so was fine with that. Overall, great place, lovely sourroundings, great gardens, nice people, very happy.

We arrived to receive our hotel rules which included that our kids could not play in the common areas unsupervised. Really, we went to Hawaii for family vacation so my kids could be shut in. At the pool, a grumpy guy they dubbed Mean Bill, yelled at the kids for playing at the pool. Certainly we didn't take our kids on vacation so they could play at the pool. Our room and the resort was beautiful. They just need to hire friendly people to work there. We stayed at the Mauna Lani immediately afterward. The gracious aloha was evident at every turn. The Hali'i Kai needs to find their Aloha or avoid booking families. Since our room was a 3 bedroom 2 bath, I don't know who else their target market might be.

This is right next to the Hilton, but the privacy of a community with great views and a very spacious and well appointed accommodation. Good security, close to shops and driving distance to Kohala or Kailua. Room has complimentary towels, boogie boards, beach toys and more for the kids.

This is a beautiful condo complex--many mall buildings. Lovely pool and clubhouse restaurant. On the water but no beach---a drive to go into the ocean. very quiet. next door, across the golf course, is the gigantic city ---the Hilton.

My family and i had a very relaxing time.

The Accommodation at Castle Halii Kai at Waikoloa was of an Excellent Standard. Our room was BEAUTIFUL! It was well appointed with everything you could need in a Condo. As we were go go go on Big Island I would personally recommend this style of accommodation for people staying over 7 days(we only stayed 5 days) to get the full use of the Condo. In hindsight as the price was similar we both would have preferred the Hilton which is next door. The Hilton was an easy 15 minute walk but they Charge one hundred dollars for a 4 visit pass the to hotel if you want to use their facilities. (ie 2 people for 2 days or 1 family of 4 for 1 day) Beaches were about a 10minute drive away but there are some beautiful beaches nearby for swimming and snorkelling. Im not sure if this hotel is still doing breakfast but this was our biggest gripe with the hotel. Breakfast was served in the front reception room and was 1 pre-packaged savoury, 1 cup coffee, 1 pre-packaged fruit juice and 1 pre-packaged oats. There was no milk or cream for the oats or the Coffee.. Overall we enjoyed our experience, accommodation was 5 star but only stay here if you are planning a longer vacation. Happy Travels!

Beautiful room and surrounding grounds. Pool perfect for families with young children. Location is great too!

These condos are new and modern. There are about 25 buildings with 6 condos in each buidling. the garden is prefectly manicured, kind of like "desperate housewives wisteria lane" in Hawaii. There is no maid service, it is like being at your own vacation home. We liked this place so much, we actually returned and got a different condo the second time. Both were very nicely furnished and well stocked with appliances such as blender, and sharp knives etc. I found it very relaxing. Pros: Right next door to Hilton so you can use their facilities, plus it is near Marriott and near Hapuna beach. Very well stocked with kitchen stuff, and one of our units even had beach toys, DVDs, picnic gear etc. Gorgeous landscaping and gardens Nice modern buildings and quality tasetful furnishings. Very quiet Cons: Extremely rude bar staff. She was so bad that even other guests were making jokes about her. My husband said she was the worst he had ever struck! No biggie though - we just never went back! Breakfast is complementary but very basic. The waitress is indifferent and tries to close early and you get dirty looks and hinted to leave at if you are there any time after 10. (Closing is 10:30 and she is obviously paid per shift so wants to get out of there early.) The whole restaurant attitude is like this so it makes you want to stay away. No maid service so no fresh towels. this didn't bother us and I am sure you could probably ring the front office and ask for some. We just washed ours ourselves. No beach front. The pool is set on a lava rock beach so is very pretty but not useable. You will have to go to Hilton next door or Marriott or hapuna by car for beach. No shade at pool. The pool is o.k. for kids over about age 5 but is small so they will be bored after a couple of days. It is not good for babies at all. All in all, I would recommend and would stay here again. I think it is the best place for the money in this area.

This is a place you will always want to go back to --it is just outstanding. The accomodations are beyond the norm and the services were executed flawlessly.

１階の部屋でした。海には面していませんが、芝生の庭に出れますし、ハンモックやBBQグリルも使い放題（もちろん使用後は各自で清掃します）です。部屋にはFree WiFiもあります。家族で過ごすには最高です！！　ただしホテルと違うので、レストランやツアーデスクは期待しないでください。

Noget at det bedste vi har oplevet længe. Flot og velholdt område, pæn lejlighed og fantastiak pool. Absolut et sted vi gerne tager tilbage til igen

Grand appartement dans villas en bord de mer, belles et calmes dans une architecture ressemblant à celle de la série "Desperate Housewives". Centres commecriaux à proximité, ile magnifique.

初めてのコンドミニアムで25泊とロングステイでした。家族4人だったのですが、3ベッドルーム3バスと広く清潔で快適でした。ただインターネットのが使えると書いてあったのですが、私の泊まった部屋にはネットがなかったのですが、これはHotels.com側の表記ミスとのことで、すぐにご対応いただき隣の部屋にWiFiで繋がせていただき、そのうえクーポンまで貰いました。ありがとうございました。しかしやはり電波が弱くすぐに切れるのでちょっと厳しかったです。それ以外残念なのはプールサイドのレストランにコバエが多いことでしょうか。ハワイ島は比較的オープンエリアだと虫が多いのでまあ普通かもしれませんが。でもプールサイドからの夕日は最高でした。また機会があれば利用したいと思います。

全てにおいて完璧でした。夕日がみれるクラブハウスの利用など得点高いと思います。自炊があきたら近くのホテルのレストランや、Waikoloa VillageのCafeなどで食事ができますが、レンタカーがないと、スーパーでの買い物などとても大変で、このリゾートの価値を100％見出せないと思いました。レンタカーある方には申し分のないリゾートです。あと、日本語での案内はありません。

親戚４人で滞在しました。３泊４日でしたがすごくゆっくりと過ごすことができました。 お部屋の趣味もよくキレイに掃除されていたのと調理器具もちょっとした調味料も常備されていましたので良かったです。 少し問題だったのは、プライベートリゾートになってるのでコテージへ入るまでに門があり車で入る方法がなかなかわからず戸惑ったのと、３日間テレビがつかないので見ることができませんでした。 でも、またハワイ島に滞在することがあればこちらを利用したいと思います。

Die Anlage ist wirklich super toll mit ganz viel Mühe und fleiß angelegt. Die "Bungalows"bzw. Zimmer sind der absolute Hammer. Wir hatten Nr. 24C mit eigenem Carport+Stellplatz, 2 Bäder, 2 Schlafzimmer Großes Wohnzimmer mit offener VOLLAUSGESTATTER Küche.Wirklich alles war vorhanden,selbst der Reiniger für die Spülmaschine, sowie Gewürze,einfach alles. Der Spa/Poolbereich ist ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen, direkt an der Küste mit Blick vom Pool aufs Meer. Miniwasserfall, tolle bequeme weiche Auflagen. Alles in allem ein wirklich super tolles Hotel bzw. Anlage. So groß, das man sogar mit dem Auto zum Spa fahren kann.

정보 하나 없이 사진만 보고 예약했는데 정말이지 기대 이상이었습니다. 일단 새로 지은 리조트라 거의 모든 시설이 최신식인데다 새것이었구요, 객실별 전용 주차장이 두 칸이나 됩니다. 하나는 집 바로 앞 전용 차고, 또 하나는 바로 근처에 있는 일반 주차장... 2인으로 예약했는데 기본 4인실로 세팅되어 있구요, 더블베드룸 하나, 트윈베드룸 하나, 화장실 두개, 거실, 주방, 세탁실, 테라스로 되어 있는데 넓기도 하거니와 구석구석 센스있게 꾸며져 있어서 발 들여놓는 순간 너무 신났습니다 ㅎㅎ 게다가 근처에서 놀 수 있게 부기보드랑 테니스 라켓, 테니스공도 비치되어 있고 주방에는 온갖 주방기구가 다 있었어요. 오븐, 전자렌지, 식기세척기, 블렌더, 커피메이커에다가 각종 요리도구들과 수많은 식기들...;; 진짜 놀랐습니다 ㅎㅎ 마당에는 곳곳에 테이블과 그릴이 있어서 바베큐도 쉽게 할 수 있고요. 수영장도 참 좋습니다. 수영장이 선셋을 감상하기 가장 좋은 장소인데 정말 환상적이었어요 - 그리고 객실마다 따로 설치되어 있는 무선 와이파이!! 정말 최곱니다 ㅠㅠ 들어갈 때 미리 이메일로 받은 키번호를 알고 있어야 리조트 입장이 가능하고요, 아침식사를 무료로 주는데 그건 별로 기대하지 마세요. 그냥 빵이랑 과일푸딩, 커피, 오트밀 정도예요. 일반 호텔급 아침부페 기대하시면 엄청 실망하실지도... 그것 빼고는 정말 최고! 대박이었습니다!! 신혼여행으로 다녀왔는데 완전 반했구요 또 기회가 있으면 정말 다시 가고 싶어요~~ 할리카이 강추!!

　一言で言うなら、大満足！心からリラックスできるリゾートライフの数日間でした。 小さな子供連れだったので、フルキッチンで日本食でもいつものオウチご飯も作れるのは助かりました。庭にはバーベキューコンロがあるので、ステーキ用お肉を焼き、アウトドア気分も味わえます。 食材は車で５分の、クイーンズマーケットのスーパーで何でも（日本の調味料もお米、お弁当も！）揃うので便利です。 　部屋に洗濯機、乾燥機もあるので便利です。 テレビは日本のＮHＫのニュースが見れます。ケーブルテレビのリモコンもオンにしたりと、やり方の説明書、ガイドの類がなかったので、最初はわかりませんでしたが、フロントに電話して、人に来てもらい、親切にやってもらえました。 パソコン接続も無料なのもグッドです。 　 　プール、ジム、プール横のレストランの広々した雰囲気も素敵です。冬季だったので、プールサイドから海を眺めていたら、クジラが見えました！ 　滞在者の日本人比率が少なめなので、ゆっくり静かに過ごしたい方にはオススメです。ただ日本語のできるスタッフはいないので、英語に問題のない方向きかもしれません。

おそらく、オーナーの方も多くいらっしゃるのではないかと思いますが、セキュリティがしっかりしいるこのゲートの中は、静かで、落ち着いていて、 ゆったりと休暇をすごす事が出来ました。 当初、ｶﾞｰﾃﾞﾝビューの2bedroomを予約していましたが、行ってみると、ゴルフ場の向こうに海が見られ、部屋も３Bedroomありました。設備もまだまだ新しく快適です。 ハワイ島に行くときには常宿にしたいと思います。
