Beautiful hotel at a great price when our family of five went. Rooms were new, clean and spacious and we had a connecting room with the kids and a shower in each room. Only down sides to this hotel were: 1) the TV (couldn't get it to work no matter how hard we tried or read the manual...appears you may need to pay for TV...someone else or the hotel can confirm this) and, 2) the grouchy young lady who worked the desk. She asked who would be staying in each room...at first suggesting the girls stay with me and our son with mom. I jokingly said, in my so-so italian, kids could sleep on the floor, she didn't appreciate the joke one bit asking my wife and I to pick names. We look at each other wondering why it even mattered and the young lady snapped at us and literally tore the room key cards from my wife's hand. Her male co-worker, a very nice young man, saw how rudely she was behaving and stepped in to help a bit. My wife and I remained calm the entire time, but talked about it after and couldn't believe this young girl thru a little tantrum (worse than what we deal with..with or own kids who are a bit younger than her). Additionally, nobody mentioned anything about the complimentary breakfast nor about how to work the TV. We would have given them a 1 for service had it not been for the nice gentleman co-worker of hers. Please note, we're not whiny, needy, complaining types - on the contrary, very easy to please us. But we definitely recognize bad service when we get it. Not sure if we'd come back here or not, specifically because of the bad service, but it is a beautiful hotel with very nice rooms. Also, have lots of parking just outside the hotel for free.

We knew from other reviews that the hotel is out of Pisa, but don't let this put you off, as there is an excellent local bus service. the hotel is very modern and chic, but very comfortable and well worth the money.

Nice hotel, courtious staff. Only negative was the dogs across the street continually barking through the night.

I stayed at Hotel Ranieri on the 21st of October 2011 with my husband and two friends in connecting rooms. I thought the rooms were very stylish and comfortable.The bathrooms were large, beautiful,clean with lovely towels and nice toiletries.It was quiet the night we stayed apart from a couple of minutes when I was woken up by laughing in the corridor. The breakfast was great,plenty of choice and the staff very helpful.The staff at the reception were also very helpful. The one thing I would change- soundproof the door to the corridor or add an extra inner door between the bedroom and the bathroom.This is a problem in many hotels.Ibis has a great design in some of its rooms-the bathroom door folds back toward the corridor forming a second door-adding extra soundproofing. I think Hotel Ranieri is excellent value and beautifully designed.

Handy hotel for overnight stay. Local bus v handy for visiting pisa. Hotel very modern, breakfast good and outside garden lovely for coffee.

nice hotel, quiet place, country style,close to siena

only 10 min walking distance to the nice city of Pisa ! good breakfast (except for the bread). nice and friendly staff. some good restaurants within walking distance. good recommendation. we will dftly come back !

As we were arriving late into Pisa airport the location was just what we wanted - 10 minutes from the airport. The breakfast was fine. The bar in the evening is limited in that sometimes beer that you were drinking is no longer available from the cooler and you need to take something else. Did not eat an evening meal at the hotel but on the recommendation of the hotel used a restaurant nearby and it was good. Staff were very helpful.

room was fantastic - as a woman i appreciate the small things like a good hairdryer, moisturiser etc. close to the sightseeing in Pisa, however some of the reception staff during day were not helpfull almost to the point of beeing rude - i expect better/nicer attitude from a 4 star hotel. the night-shift recetionist was very polite and helpfull when checking out at 6am.

Family of 4 -- 2 adults and 2 teenagers stayed here one night with plans to visit Pisa then head to Rome for our trip back to the US. If driving at night the hotel is a challenge to find so make sure you have good directions. The hotel staff was very helpful with directions. We had dinner outside and breakfast the next morning in the Garden restaurant. The food was delicious and the service excellent.

We stayed at this hotel for one night...overall, the hotel was very nice. It was very modern and extremely clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was great, you could sit outside and relax while sipping your cappuccino. There were a couple terraces set up on our floor where you could relax and enjoy the sun. The only issue with the hotel is that it's out of the city center. From the train station it is a quick bus ride (bus 14) but you do have to plan your evenings because the buses stop running around 830pm (this isn't so bad since a taxi to the hotel from the city center only costs 10 euro). We definitely recommend this hotel for visitors to Pisa :)

Very modern lay out and fine for a couple nights but several reception staff very impatient & the swimming pool is illusory!! They advertise a pool, even display gowns & slippers & swim suits but NO POOL!! Peculiar at best, deceptive at worst!!

Overall, the hotel was REALLY nice (very modern), as well as the staff. Breakfast was amazing! It was easy to get from the train station to the hotel and back, as well as to the major attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel on the recommendation of other reviews and can definitely recommend the Hotel too. Staff were very welcoming. We arrived on a Saturday for one night only and in the morning. Our room was not quite ready due to early arrival and they graciously offered morning coffee and were concerned for our comfort whilst waiting. I was traveling with 3 children of various ages and booked an Executive Suite that slept four. The hotel is extremely modern in decor and not necessarily everyone's taste but clean and very comfortable. Airconditioning was good too for the hot hot summer. From Pisa Airport it cost approximately 11 euros and took just over 10 mins. we took a taxi into town for approximate 8 euros, however there is a bus stop just outside. A generous buffet breakfast is included in the rate and airport shuttle is complimentary. We will definitely return to Tuscany and to the Hotel San Ranieri

Staff was in the discovery mode you discover what you need they try to do as little as possible to help you. I chose this to be close to airport but I still had to get a Taxi because the shuttle didn't start until 7 am. Which also was the case with breakfast.

We only stayed here one night so it didn't bother us being outside the city. There is a bus 2 blocks from the hotel that runs every 10 mins to downtown Pisa. We loved the breakfast! The hotel shuttle to the airport was difficult and the front dest staff isn't all that friendly but it was worth it to stay in this wonderful modern hotel. Large comfy clean rooms, nice large shower, fun outdoor patios, laundry on site, in room safe, pay for wifi, super futuristic rooms-was really enjoyable!

While the concept is good, exicution is weak and staff is not very helpful. Dinner was hugely expensive and not on par with Tuscan resturaunts. Not the freshest and very bland. Coffee in the morning is dicount brand crystals. It is in a drip machine but the morning we were thier the waitress forgot to stir the crystals.

Extremely modern looking hotel with a very wierd bathroom. Like all the hotel except the bathroom where the design seemed really wrong. The doors for the shower were too big which meant water went all over the floor and the toilet bowl seemed awfully high. Other than that great, the compLimentary shuttle to the airport an added bonus as it is a good distance away. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was pretty and room was clean, but the beds were quite firm.

Very modern hotel, clean rooms and quite spacious. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet served in the restaurant was excellent. Great selection and great quality.

My wife and I stayed overnight here and loved every minute. Flew in to Pisa late - the free hotel shuttle was there to meet us - check-in was quick and easy. Spotlessly clean hotel and rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast in the garden. Left our bags in the room and jumped on a bus (1 euro - buy tickets at reception - line blue stop is a 3 minute walk) to see the sights of Pisa. Later in the afternoon returned to the hotel where the minibus took us back to the airport to pick up our hire car (again free). Would highly recommend this hotel - and are already planning another visit - this time for a bit longer.

very pleasant contemporary hotel. out of town, but regular bus from outside the hotel to the centre of town. toilet in room very high though, my feet didn't touch the floor when i sat on it.

We stayed here on a holiday to Pisa. Although it's a little way from the town center there is a very good bus service from outside the hotel to the train station in Pisa. The Hotel is very futuristic and interesting. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. There is parking right outside, WiFi access from the rooms etc making the hotel very well equiped. It's a shame there is no pool but the Italians don't seem to go much on swimming anywhere.

Strange modern decor- would be a smash hit with the teens and tweens. Otherwise a great place. Friendly people and a great breakfast.

I expected the design of this hotel to be pretty cool. It was not. This hotel is stuck in a suburb of Pisa in a very inconvenient location. Our room was not clean when we arrived (flies, dirty fridge and floor). The restaurant's food was poor.

Hotel moderno,molto funzionale comodo,camere silenziose anche al piano basso,pulizia eccellente,colazione ben strutturata.facilita di parcheggio, già visitato qualche anno fa e anche migliorato

Prima hotel. Bedden hard maar kamer en badkamer schoon. Nadeel is wel is dat het vlakbij het ziekenhuis ligt en als je het raam 's nachts open hebt veel last van ambulances met sirenes. Als je het raam dicht hebt, is het probleem opgelost. Er komen veel bussen in de buurt.

Hotel novo, muito confortável . Atendimento um pouco fraco mas nada que atrapalhe.

hotel all'altezza della situazione, pulito e silenzioso. non ho usato il ristorante, la prima colazione poteva essere migliore.

Hôtel magnifique aussi bien extérieur, qu'intérieur. Chambre et salle de bain propre, grande et insonorisé. Le petit déjeuner copieux (salé et sucré). Pour un prochain voyage à PISE, nous retournerons dans cet hôtel.

bella struttura, molto moderna, ottima colazione, forse il personale troppo pignolo.

Excelente hotel para viajeros en auto, por la ubicación. Es muy moderno y todo de primera. Lo único se escucha mucho ruido de los pasillos y las otras habitaciones. Falta mejorar la insonorización.

Un hotel situado en al extraradio de Pisa. Ideal para congresos o para una visita a la ciudad. No tiene piscina ni nada para amenizar tu estancia allí así que lo utilizarás solo para descansar. Decoración moderna. Todo el hotel está nuevo. El personal es correcto. El restaurante es caro pero hay opciones mucho más económicas en los alrededores. Bien conectado por autobuses y con aparcamiento gratuito si llevas un coche de alquiler.

Excellent hôtel. Très belle chambre (Nous étions dans la chambre familiale). Excellent petit-déjeuner. Très jolie terrasse. Une piscine serait un atout.

vi har brugt hotellet til kort start og stop ved ud og hjemrejse fra Toscana, Ligger dejligt tæt på både cemtrum og lufthavn. Hotellets ejer har foruden den gode modernede restaurant på hotellet en "rigtig Toscansk" god og hyggelig restaurant lige, rundt om hjørnet og 50 m henne.

Tæt på lufthavn og bymidte, Hotelets ejer har foruden et dejligt hotel med lækker morgenmad også hyggelig restaurant 2 minutters gang fra hotel.

L'hôtel est moderne, décoré avec beaucoup de soin, les chambres sont très claires et fonctionnelles, la literie très confortable. le petit dejeuner est sensationnel choix varié même le jus de fruit pressé maison, la terrasse très agréable, le réstaurant offre une cuisine de qualité, le personnel est très à l'écoute.places devant l'hôtel pour stationner. dommage un peu loin du centre de Pise il faut un véhicule . Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel

Som hyppig hotelgæst, måtte jeg erkende, at hotellet ikke helt levede op til sine 4 stjerner. Indretningen var rigtig fin - det samme de udendørs områder. Men beliggenheden - laaaangt væk fra alt! Løfterne på deres hjemmeside om at man er i gåastand og "få minutter" fra det skæve tårn mv holder slet ikke stik. Det ligger afsides - langt udenfor centrum, faktisk kræver det bil - eller et stort taxabudget.... Ydermere - i de fem dage jeg boede der, havde jeg både problemer med lugt fra afløbet på badeværelset, aircondition der slog fra flere gange i løbet af natten, samt TV i så dårlig kvalitet, at man ikke kunne se det. Personalet i receptionen havde en arrogant indstilling til jobbet - man følte at man var til gene, når man henvendte sig. Så hotellets pæne omgivelser opvejede desværre ikke de minusser man stødte på.
