Excellent location in Surfside Miami, it`s a shame, but I found out that the hotel will be closed next june, because it will be demolished, and in its place, the new owners will construct a new private building.

wish I could have stayed longer. I didn't anticipate that I would be extending my vacation for a few days.I tried to book room for couple extra nights but they were sold out. I am currently at days inn on collins and what a dump! stay at best western if possible.

Big room, very clean but dated and sad looking.On the beach which is great. Pool old and unappealing.19$ for overnight parking , rather expensive for that kind of hotel.breakfast not interesting.expensive hotel overall for what you get.

Highly not recommended

This hotel is nice and right on the beach. There was a upper deck above the pool with a great view of the ocean, which was beautiful. The room itself was pretty good except the beds. They were horrible! The double beds were small and had dips in them and sagged fromoveruse I presume. They need to upgrade the beds.

You have a separate bedroom, kids sleep in the living, and a kitchen with basic stuff to cook. Breakfast is fair. The only negative point was the check in, very slow ....

The room is great, one TV did not work in the living room. Room 441 and the microwave made a popping sound which made me uncomfortable to use it. loved how big the room is, being able to control the temperature, wish the ocean view was from the hotel room.

The physical location of the hotel was great! The hotel maintenance wasn't so great, my room in particular had one of two TVs that didn't work, a lamp that didn't work. The bed wasn't soo comfy and barely had any blankets on it. I wouldn't revisit this location

We stayed for 2 nights before our cruise and found this hotel to be just what we needed for a relaxing start to our holiday, we loved the ocean view room, the convenience of a very good breakfast included in the price, the room had a very large fridge and kitchen just great for sorting your own lunch, great for a picnic on the beach also very useful was Publix supermarket across the road. This hotel is also has a bus stop directly outside with a very good bus service, we managed to get to Aventura shopping mall and down to South Beach all within half an hour bus ride for $2. We really enjoyed this hotel.

Older hotel but well kept, suites have actual separate kitchen (small) and living room. Great family oriented neighborhood. Short beach with steep dropoff halfway. Very friendly staff and other customers were repeat customers which is good sign. Large breakfast bar well stocked.

This is a very nice older hotel right on the beach and convenient to restaurants, grocery and public transport. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but if you insist on the most modern of bathrooms then this is not for you. Pool area is nice, but not resort expansive. Stay here to be on the beach not sit by the pool. Public transport all the way to south beach is about 20 minutes depending on traffic. We would definitely stay here again.

Regrettably, the excellent location for this hotel did not match the expectations regarding:1-quality of services (the receptionist was unfriendly, the assigned room was available only after 3 h after our check-in, in spite other rooms were given to other arriving customers and no explanation was given for such unexpected delay). 2- Quality of breakfast (the dining room area was very small and the standard continental breakfast was subpar for a three-star hotel); 3- quality of rooms (cleanliness, toiletries) and registration area. A renovation is urgent!

This hotel is by definition an average hotel by Miami resort hotel standards. When you see the 4 and 5 star hotels and level of luxury they have, you'll see what I mean, however you are looking at at least 2 times the price per night for those. The room was nice with a kitchen and a suite layout (bedroom was a separate room). The location is right on A1A and is on the beach, so thats also a plus. It's also very conveniently located around all sorts of restaurants, shops, and stores (including a Publix) within very short walking distance. Lastly, the daily complimentary breakfast they offered was very nice. It was a full scale breakfast with, eggs, sausage, french toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices, and coffee. The limitations of this place is the two pools are very basic and not that large and there is no jacuzzi or many other amenities. There isn't an exercise room, sauna, lounge, or bar or anything like that on site, so if those things are important to you, then you might want to upgrade to another hotel. Also, there is an additional $19 a night parking fee, which seems to be the norm in the Miami area. If you're looking for a hotel that its on the beach and is pretty comfortable that you won't have to break the bank for, this is the type of place for you. If you want more amenities, features, and luxuries with your hotel, you will want to find another place.

I think the front desk staff when I was on should be fired. Our housekeeper was incredible. She should be the customer relations manager and I would have her fired the man and women who checked me in. They told me to come back in 3 hours albeit I was very early. The lady at desk was eating lunch and I felt like I was disturbing her. They were put on the spot when my hero another staff member who shall remain nameless to protect her job told them my room was in fact ready for me to check in. Basically, I think they couldn't be bothered to check me in on there shift. Fire them! The hotel was run done but very clean and the view was spectacular and convenient to Miami. I wouldn't stay again but if your a beach lover and the room not so important take it the price is right.

I enjoyed it very much. The free breakfast got very old by the 3rd morning.

No placent, very poor condition

Well from check-in it started off with surprising news that you could only park one car and that there was a nightly cost. Then we get to the room and it was small and looked nothing like the pictures. The room was clean, but very uncomfortable. The furniture was old and beat up, you would sit on the couch and you sunk into it. We also noticed that the hotel had a bug issue, a bad one. The free wi-fi was extremely slow, let me rephrase that it was suicide inducing. Last but not least when I checked out I forgot a shirt and pair of jeans that I had brought on my personal hanger. When I went back to pick them up, they were given to me in a garbage bag and without my hanger. I will never stay at this hotel ever again. I am even going to write to Best Western and make sure they are aware of what is going on at this location.

Was close to airport, direct on beach

The hotel is literally right on the beach! The room was extremely clean - housekeeping did an excellent job of cleaning the room each day. We were pleasantly surprised to find a full kitchen with a stove, oven, fridge, etc...so we saved money by eating in the room. It was more like an apartment with a big bedroom a lots of closet space. It was wonderful getting up in the mornings and going to the beach and also walking on the trails along the beach. Will definitely stay there again! Only drawback is that you have to pay about $20.00/day to park and sometimes it's a challenge to find space.

Room very old and smells awful. Bathroom too small.

i reserved a room months in advance.but the lady at the desk was rude and told us even if we reserved a room that doesnt guarentee us the room we wanted.she tryed to give us a king bed.i reserved a room with two beds.i have never had an issue like this before.or have been treated like that from a front office clerk.i also had asked for a 1st floor because i have a heart condition.but that didnt happen either.i will never stay there again when we are going thru town.and i was also told there was shuttle service to the airport. but there was not. so i had to pay 44.00 dollars both ways.so thats 88.00 dollars i would have saved if i would have stayed somewhere else.or spent the extra money to avoid all of the hassle we received.

Nice Hotel, not to big and just at he beach. Beachfront Room recomended.

Great location, clean room, cheap rates, will book again

People staying at the hotel were very loud. Each room can fit approximately 6 ppl. I think families take advantage and bring like 10. The tvs barely worked. Only like 15 channels. The Internet was free but slow. The good thing was that it was on the beach and close to a lot of restaurants. The heated pool was also a plus. For the price, not bad compared to the other hotels in surrounding area. Don't forget to add 20 dollars to your rate...parking ain't free...

We were having a great time, enjoyed the location, loved the room set up, everything, until one of the hotel staff (maintenance) made fun of one of the overweight family members, saying "dont eat so much" as we walked through the corridor. It was so embarrasing it ruined our whole experience. I should have complained right then, but was afraid of how that person might respond. Sad that the hotel was so perfect, but the staff member ruined it for us.

Bed was uncomftable

A pleasant surprise! Location was fantastic - right smack on the beach and a block from Publix and the Surfside shopping and dining. A bus stop was right infront of the hotel which made catching a bus to South Beach as well as up to Aventura quick and easy! I did have the ocean front suite with a balcony and enjoyed it. The hotel is old, but it was clean and well maintained. Wifi was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. I also felt safe. As a single traveler, that was important. Breakfast was perfect - bagels, toast, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, french toast, coffee, cereal, and juice - can't ask for more. I would stay there again.

was ok, when we went into the room it was not cleaned 100%. floor was not vacumed and papers and trash where on the floor. We called and they sent someone up right away to clean. Overall it was a good stay, thanks.

Run down, most electrical outlets wouldn't even hold plug. Bed was good enough, but everything else needed updating. Location was nice, restaurant's only one block away.

this hotel was a perfect experience. we loved being right on the beach and having so many stores and shops close by. the room was spacious and having a full kitchen with dishes helped budget our vacation. we will be using this hotel again in the near future.

We booked at the last minute and were not disappointed. Clean, simple hotel with free car parking! Roooms are huge with part or full kitchen. Ours had been refurbished - so ask for one that has been. We booked an ocean front terrace room - great to sip our coffee whilst watching all those healthy people jogging along the beach in the mornings!! Free continental breakfast with some hot food too. Publix supermarket 1 block away, several local restaurants and buses to south Beach. All in all a good stay

Room was big and super clean, full size fridge and stove with cupboards too. Beds were comfy, shower clean and full walk in closet with hangables on both sides. The safe was too small to fit our laptops tho. We paid for ocean view and glad we did because some regular rooms (not poolside view rooms) faced parking lot. The public access to beach was right by hotel too. We didn't make it breakfast but there was free breakfast and free parking too. Cab ride to downtown miami and south beach $40 with tip and only 15 min with no traffic

Everything about the hotel was good it was very nice and close to wear I had to be

The hotel is old and could use updating but the location on the beach and hte free parking are convenient. It is a little pricey, considering hte age of the hotel but you are paying for the beachfront location. Not my favorite hotel but satisfactory.

Hotel was great location - management excellent at providing places to eat and visit, especially if you are new to the area. Great kitchen facilities if you preferred to make some of your own meals. Publix couple of blocks away to purchase food items. Close to excellent malls for shopping some very high end. Walking along the oceanfront was wonderful, and a view as well when you had breakfast, some rooms had ocean view.
