Generator Hostel London - لندن

I never met the 3 guys who eventually occupied my room because they came in during the wee hours. The room was unkept,smelled, and cluttered. The mattress was uncomfotable. I chose this only because it was close the the RR station. The staff was very helpful

To be fair to the hostel, I was only there one night. But they were experiencing plumbing problems and none of the toilets on my floor were flushing. Not a good experience! The personnel were very good. The rest of the facilities were OK. I had a private room and for the money feel I would just have soon have stayed in a B&B. The neighborhood is nice with plenty of restaurant options and easy access to the Tube.

The hotel site is good as well as the cost. However, the hotel maintenance should be improved in order to provide a better service to the tenants. For example, the male shower room of Level 5 is out of order when I moved in and not yet repaired when I was out, total 6 days. My family told me that some of the female toilet is always out of order.

it has good location. but wifi is very slow, and it is very noisy at night cuz of the club. and it is cold in the room at night. but it is very cheap and close to metro. so I will stay there again next time.

conveniently near Russel Sq metro, bus route, Tesco, mall, uni college London, etc, ok if you are not fussy about noise and amenities as this is a hostel not a hotel

The lift was broken during our stay and we were on the 5th floor! definitely didn't take may trips up and down. Breakfast was good deal.

Generator hostel was great for me and my friends wisiting London. Inside it was great, but a little bit strange. The "party hostel" was very party but the same moment you walked out the doors you were asked to be completely quiet or otherwise you were told to leave the area.. But still, 3,5/5!

- the check in time is 2pm, we arrivad at 9pm and our room was still dirty... (we dropped the baggege at the hostel at 10am so they knew we were coming. also, the cleaner only changed the bed clothes and garbage bag. he left the sink and the floor dirty. the room was left very dusty and it was very nice for my friend who has dust allergy... i also got a rash on my neck after sleeping couple of nights there.) - the bunk bed in our room made very loud noise everytime we moved even a little bit. - our window didn't close properly... (good it wasn't too cold outside... other windows in the hostel seemed to have the same problem.) - me and my friend got only one key card. (we needed two, because when you enter the hostel at night time, the night guards won't let you in without a key card. we weren't even informed about this and i was nearly left outside because i dind't have a card.) - 80% of the bathrooms (at least in our floor) were clogged most of our stay there. - breakfast wasn't what i expected... (bread and coffee were good but when we arrived at 9am there were no vegetables to put on bread anymore, only meat. nice if you're vegetarian. yogurth also tasted like.. well.. puke...) - other food served at the hostel wasn't good either (when someone says "cheese-onion-pie with salad" i don't think about "(very dry) cheese-onion-pastry with one lettuce leaf") - no free wifi in the rooms! (even though it clearly says so in the hostel description.) - lots of drunk people at nights (and yes i can understand it! but it's still not nice when they grab you or shout behind your door at 3pm. this isn't the hostels fault by any means but i thought i could point it out now that i started rambling.) + staff was nice and helpful mostly. + the hot showers were good. + good location, can access piccadilly line easily (and they even have elevators at russels square so it's easy to use even with big baggage.)

Too noisy at night and in the morning when you are still in bed, it´s impossible to carrying on sleeping. Besides this, the underground passes near or beneath which intensifies the noise.

I had a nice week at the Generator Hostel. The staff is very friendly and willing to help, there's people from all over the world. The room was reasonably clean. They have a nice bar down there. The location is just perfect, it's a block away from Russel Square Station. I would definetely recommend the hostel to friends.

The height of the lower level bed should rise higher to allow for sitting on and also a small reading light should provide.Other is all alright.

Positive: -crowd -great location -price -bar with sports and lounge -good showers -well organized Negative: -Bed -shared rooms are in the basement This is a great hotel for the price but avoid the shared rooms in the basement.

This youth hostel is a good place to be, showers and toilets are often checked and are usually very clean. The hostel is situated in a convenient area, 10 minutes walk to euston station and not far from Kings Cross/St Pancras. The city center (Leicester square for example) is only a few underground stops away. Rooms are clean and spacious, whether you are in a double room or share with many more people. The price is very decent too. However, wherever you are in the hostel, you will need earplugs as you can hear quite clearly when people are talking outside your door and the sound of banging doors will disturb your sleep. It would be nice to have a double bed or 2 beds in the double room instead of a bunk bed, even though it would make the room much smaller. A good place to stay overall….with earplugs!

The Hostel was perfect. The staf was very friendly. Very good price including breakfast. The bathrooms was very clean and also the room was quite. Good value for money. Very close to tube station.

Well located for the younger end but great facilities ideal place to crash after watching the football.

No problems, staff were very friendly. Only problems I had were because of unavoidable issues because it's a hostel (people moving around at strange times at night). Location is excellent for many people, including myself on this trip. Would have been nice to know I needed a padlock for a locker in the room before I got there, but only cost about £3 from the hostel's own shop. All in all, good value for money. I'm sure it would be a great hostel for a group of young people visiting the UK from abroad.

Friendly staff, well situated for visiting London, adequate confort and cleanliness for the price.

I arrived to Gerators on my own expecting to sleep in a room with any kind of people, find dirty and broken bathrooms and showers, and a bad service as well. But the reality was completely different: the place was full of young nice people. The bathrooms of course were shared among an entire floor, but they were very clean, and nice to use. I liked the showers because they were individual (privacity/intimidity), and even being shared showers, they provided enough water, and regulated the temperature well. For who said in their comments that they complained about the showers, I have to say that they haven't seen any shared showers ever in their entire lifes. Of course they're not like an individual shower at a hotel, but they're great for being shared showers. The personal of the hostel couldn't have been better. At least in summer, when I went there. About the security of personal belongings, I have to say that of course, you cannot leave all your things spread arround yoour room like if you were in a room on your own, but they had individual lokers/rollong jails under the beds to leave your things there. In my opinion, it was very well in overall. It had good underground connections, there was a lot of security at night (nobody was able to enter, even into the surroundings of the hostal, without it's entrance card), finally the service was good, the food was good, there're computers where you can have internet acces. I loved it, I recomend it, and I'm sure that I will go back more than once. There is no indigents sleeping there. This was one of the things i was most affraid of, but the only thing I saw were young people at the most, some adults travelling on their own, and even two or three families. In one word PERFECT. There was people from all the corners of Europe. Very cosmoplita. PS: Thre's one more thing about this place, they have a small bar inside only for people inside the hostel, and I have to say that it's great. You can spend a good night there, any

I highly recommend. Clean and good downtown locaion. Many public perks. They say all hostels are like this, regardless of country.

We are two guys that decided to spend a weekend in London. We took a two bed room with shared shower and included breakfast. The room was clean and big enough maybe 12-15 sqm. The showers were clean and always available. The breakfast was a sufficient buffet of cereal with milk, bread butter and coffee. Close to russel square and the brittish museum. Good pubs to eat and drink in the surrounding, 35 minuts walk to green park walking fast.

For such a cheap hostel it was near-perfect. The hotel is located 2 minutes walk from an underground station and 10 minutes walk from King Cross train station. The staff were very nice and helpful and the hostel's shop included everything I could possibly need. The hostel has an all-night pub of its own and its prices are pretty good; a bit more expensive than the usual pubs but it's a hostel after all, I expected worse. The only down side was that the rooms were overly hot and I was sweating at night even when it was raining.

we were robbed at the hotel. I went to take a shower and put my backpack in the bathroom with my passport, camera, and such in it. A man came in and saw that my backpack was not attended he then sent a girl in and she stole my passport. I had to go the U.S. Embassey and make a new passport. The place is nice but be very careful when staying at this location. When I went to the police to make a police report the first thing he said are you staying at the generator hostel, so I guess this happens more often than I thought. You can stay there but be very careful with your belongings.

Agréable séjour au génération. Les lits sont très propres et très confortables. La chambre est propre, petite. Mobilier sommaire.Rapport qualité - prix bon ! Petit déj. Très bien .

Personalen var väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma. Rummet var hyfsat rent och området var toppen. Det som var mindre bra, var att vi fick ett rum mitt över hostelets kareokebar/festlokal. Gick knappt att sova. Så be om ett rum långt därifrån. Toaletterna och duscharna var okej. Något smutsigt. Vissa toaletter gick inte att spola.

Idéal pour un voyage entre amis. L'hôtel est bien sécurisé et bien placé pour visiter la ville. Beaucoup de services (bar, restaurant etc...) mais les alentours ont aussi de bons cafés et restau où dîner ou petit déjeuner. Nous étions en dortoir et les chambres et wc/douches communes on le mérite d'être propres et bien équipées (couchage confortable, lockers en état, prise de courants, sèche cheveux, etc...) Pour les points négatifs, cela reste une auberge de jeunesse et on y trouve les inconvénients de la vie en communauté (un peu bruyant, voisin de chambrée qui débarque à 5h du matin et ne trouve plus son lit !) mais, à ce prix là et pour seulement quelques jours, cela me semble parfait. Agréable, j'y retournerai sûrement. Oubliez toutefois si vous voulez une escapade romantique !!

Das Zimmer hat komisch gerochen, sauber wars auch nicht wirklich. Für mich hats gereicht. Man kann dort viele verschiedene Menschen kennenlernen. Alle sind offen auch die Mitarbeiter. Feiern gehen muss man nicht außerhalb, die Bar und die Lounge sind vollkommen ausreichend. Man muss draußen flüstern und wirklich leise sein. Für Raucher ist es blöd , da sich ser Raucherbereich ums Haus befindet. Meinen Ansprüchen hats genügt aber für penible Menschen ist es nichts..

Pontos positivos: Localização (no centro, perto de metrôs) e Preço (barato). Pontos negativos: Conforto (a cama não é tão boa e faz barulho e deve-se estar atento para tentativas de furto, pois li na experiência de outros que passaram por lá de casos e foi me dado esse alerta ao chegar) e Limpeza (o quarto cheirava mofo e aparentemente os lençós não foram trocados nos 3 dias que fiquei). Outras considerações: o local é provido de serviços interessantes ao turista como: centro de apoio e informação, café da manhã, acesso a telefone e internet, bar para interagir.

chambres pas chères, mais mal isolées pour le bruit. Les lits sont peu confortables et les murs mériteraient d'être replâtrés et repeints. Cependant, il y a une bonne ambiance et des soirées à thème sont proposées tous les soirs.

Il s'agit d'une auberge de jeunesse donc il ne faut pas s'attendre à un hôtel de luxe évidemment. Mais le prix est en conséquence... L'ambiance était sympa, les lits confortables et je craignais le bruit mais nous avons bien dormi (deux adultes et deux enfants). La chambre était tout de même fort petite pour 4.

es un hostal en un edificio viejo ,,,la limpiesa es malisima,,,,las habitaciones parecen pabellones de carceles,,,la comida ke ofrecen a 5 e es de cuarta...lo unico rescatable es el desayuno ke x 4 euros es abundantelas,,las duchas tb parecen de carceles,,,y el hostal se encuentra superpoblado,y no es tan linda la ubicacion,,,lo coji a ultimo momento y no lo recomendaria para nada

beskrivs som "party hostel" men man måste vara knäpptyst utanför och i rökrutan. annars var det helt okej

Vi var seks stykker som hadde bestilt en sovesal med seks senger til å overnatte i, men da vi ankom hotellet fikk vi beskjed om at vi måtte deles opp på to rom, og vi måtte dele med andre. Selvet hostellet var shabby og slitt, og toalettene var grusomme. Andre natten ble to på vårt rom kastet ut av rommet pga feil i resepsjonen. Det var en helt ok plass å overnatte på når man ikke har mye penger, men jeg blir ikke å dra dit igjen.

bsoir , ce n'est pas mon 1 er hotel à Londres , l' accueil y est trés froid , la propreté n'est pas au top chambre en face la buanderie en fonction franchement déçu

je n'y ai passé qu'une nuit, mais je suis très satisfaite, lit confortable, chambre propre.Par contre, le matin, les toilettes étaient tous bouchés à mon étage (6éme), et aussi on ne m'a pas proposé de serviette de toilette pour que je puisse prendre une douche. Etant pressée le matin, je n'ai pas insisté, la prochaine fois! En tout cas je recommanderai cet établissement.(je n'ai pas profité des activités proposées, mais ça avait l'air bien.) merci et à bientôt
