We spent a weekend in this hotel becouse of its situation, close to Chueca and La Gran Vía. The situation is the best to me, but the room was chilled. I phoned to reception and they answered that the heatting engine was turned off and that they couldn't set it on only for our room. "If you are cold get blankets from inside the cupboard", they told me. I went down to reception and complained again face to face and they finally connected the heatting engine (but only for our floor!!!). "It's the first time I face something like that in a hotel with 4 stars", I told them. Then thay told me, "we're not a 4 but a 3 stars hotel". Ok, I noticed.

The hotel staff were very nice and helpful and the hotel looks nice and funky if a little tired however, the wifi kept going off , there was a power cut so we were in darkness for several hours and the buffet breakfast was not really great. however it was a 3 star hotel and i usually stay 4 or 5 star so for the price I paid it was pretty good value overall,

I was very surprised!! For the price, this was a great hotel. I highly recommend it. Great staff and overall clean and modern hotel.The view from top club was beautiful!

located in fun colorful neighborhood --full of interesting restaurants and stores.. Within walking distance to the great museums, off the Gran Via ,which I would skip and spend time exploring this neighborhood which is much livelier and seemingly more authentic

Exciting design, unique, comfortable, pleasant and helpful staff. Can't wait to go back and spend more time. Very reasonably priced!!! Great dining area for breakfast, also very reasonably priced. Can't say enough good things about this hotel!

Stayed for two nights on way to Barcelona and couldn't be more pleased! The staff of the hotel was very welcoming without seeming stuffy. It's definitely a modern hotel that tries (maybe a bit too hard) to be anything but beige. Still, I'll take a funky lighting fixture over a paisley bedspread any day. The 6 EUR breakfast is definitely well worth it with everything from fresh juices to meats, cheese, and sweets. Meanwhile the WiFi is free and strong! Overall our stay was excellent. Being right off Gran Via (and the metro stop of the same name) we had easy access to everything we wanted to see and do in less than 48 hours. Of course the obvious drawback of such central location are the party crowds that inevitably flock there on weekends. Still, the hotel was quiet enough and we slept through the festivities without a problem.

The decor here is modern and whimsical and doesn't take itself too seriously. Exceptionally fresh rooms, great pillows, and delightful toiletries. The rooftop bar/pool area is clever and offers spectacular views of the surrounding area - which is packed with bars, restaurants and cafes. The staff are friendly and accommodating - great at helping with directions and information about the area. The Cheuca Metro is a short walk from the hotel (with two simple transfers, gets you to the Airport in 30 - 40 minutes) - and the Gran Via, and the Puerta del Sol are minutes away. Also - breakfast is served until noon. Brilliant! You can't go wrong here! I will certainly visit again!

Great hotel, very unusual and modern. In a very lively area with lots going on and close to all the main tourist spots. We would happily recommend this hotel, but be wary of getting ripped off at the rooftop bar. You must go up there, have a drink and enjoy the view, the staff are very polite and helpful but one night we went up for a final drink and were ripped off, the other nights were ok so there is possibly one rotten apple spoiling the experience. Overall a great hotel

The room and lobby were very modern looking. The staff were helpful with suggestions. They were always busy. The hotel seems very popular with the locals. The room had a weird smell, but we slept with the window open...no big deal. I never told the front desk. The free breakfast that came with the hotels.com deal was great. Roof-Bar was very trendy, but they only serve drinks. Barely even needed to use the Metro. The hotel was close to all the top sights in Madrid. The basic room was big. Free wireless very convenient. I took several pictures inside and outside of the Hotel cause it looked so cool!

I stayed at the Roommate Oscar for a 3 day business trip, the location is excellent, the rooms (i stayed in a deluxe room) quite nice and a good size, and breakfast until 12pm is nice also on a day off. My only critizism goes to the fact that the beds were quite hard, and I didn't seem to be able to adjust the airconditioner. No matter what temperatue I set, it got shivvering cold in the room in the night while outside was very warm, yet I was also unable to open any window to compensate. Given that Madrid has very high temperatures during the day I found it hard to belive that I would have to freeze during the night, and the bedsheets were very thin so not much warmth to be had from these. Overall though it was a pleasant stay. Would probably come back.

The hotel is in a decent location, the staff is pleasant and the breakfast is great. However, the bathroom set up is terrible. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms, which is fine, but they are both glassed in with opaque glass. If you use the bathroom at night, the lights for the BR brighten the entire room--not good for your roommate. Also, the sink is on the back half of the room...a walk from the shower or toilet--not convenient.

Sehr gute Lage, in Fussdistanz zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Innenstadt, inkl. Expressbus in 20Min. vom Flughafen (Cibeles). Das Hotel hat seine besten Zeiten klar hinter sich, Hauptsache "Design", was z.B. unpraktische Zimmereinteilung ergibt... lärmiger Club auf dem Hoteldach, daher obere Zimmer nur bedingt zu empfehlen, trotz besserer Aussicht. Das Personal ist jedoch extrem freundlich, das Frühstücksbüffet sehr reichhaltig.

Es un hotel que esta bien para pasar un fin de semana en Madrid. Para gente joven.

Un hotel design vraiment très sympa... l'esprit "roommates" change d'autres hotels. Attention, pas de room service. Idéal pour rayonner au nord de Gran Via dans le quartier très tendance de Chueca, non loin donc notamment du nouveau marché San Anton que mon épouse et moi aimons beaucoup.

Perfectly situated in the heart of Chueca and the city yet incredibly quiet.Healthy breakfast, clean rooms and nice staff. And a beautiful roof top terracce.

Hotellet lå der vi forventet oss, akkurat de de omgivelsene vi ventet! Rommet var litt lite, det var det eneste vi hadde å utsette på hele helgen! Reiser gjerne dit igjen:-)

Mycket trevlig läge, och trevligt hotell dessutom, roligt med annorlunda rum, stil etc. istället för de mer vanligt förekommande hotellkedjornas stil.

I'm from Amsterdam and work in advertising so I can appreciate something special. Especially when it's as good value for money as the hotels from the Room Mate chain. I have also stayed at the Room Mate Lola in Malaga and Room Mate Oscar gave me the same experience: the hotels have supercool interiors, are well maintained and situated really well. Room Mate Oscar is just a few meters away from the Grand Via, one of the main roads in Madrid. Nice places, clubs, bars and restaurants are within walking distance and if you don't feel like walking both the underground (about 1 euro) and taxis (7 euro will take you to most interesting spots) are really cheap. A 2 bed bedroom cost me 90 euros in August and an extra breakfast is 6 euros. The breakfast is way better than you'd expect for that kind of money and it is served until 12 a.m! Our room looked cool with wallpaper that had black and white photos of people. Maybe it was a bit minimalistic in the sense that the bathroom was pretty cramped and not too classy but it did the job. Another little shame was the fact that the TV only had Spanish channels. It would have been nice to have something international (English spoken) on there. The people working in the reception are young and fit the trendy interior of the hotel. They all speak English very well. Not something common in Spain! And last but not least: the hotel has a rooftop swimming pool! Admittely not one of olympic proportions but together with the hip lounge matrasses it's a really great way to relax and sunbathe between all the walking one does during a city trip. A visit to the pool does cost you 20 euros which may seem like a bit much. But if you just add it to the low price of your hotel room it doesn't feel like a lot at all ;-)

Un probleme : la femme de menage n offre le shampooing et le gel douche que le 1 er jour et disparait les autres jours. Très étonnant !Idem pour les serviettes de bain qui sont doubles le 1 er jour et uniques à partir du second.

Dit hotel was een beleving: mooi en apart ingericht, vriendelijke medewerkers, een heel goed verzorgd ontbijtbuffet en een relaxed dakterras met bar, minizwembad, loungebanken en uitzicht over Madrid. De ligging is perfect, midden in het centrum tussen Puerto del Sol en de hippe wijk Chueca.

Quarto muito aquém do esperado, minusculo e junto de elevador que dá acesso ao bar do terraço. A primeira noite foi horrível, porque só conseguimos dormir depois das 3h. No dia seguinte pedimos para mudar de quarto, o que foi de imediato satisfeito. O pequeno almoço é frugal, com oferta limitada. No mais e tendo em conta que numa cidade como madrid, o hotel constitui tão só um local para carregar baterias, à noite, cumpriu o seu designio, encontrando-se muito bem localizado, junto à gran via e proximo do famoso bairro chueca, com bastante animação nocturna e oferta gastronómica.

Hotel tres bien situé, propre, personnel accueillant, petit dej. copieux, chambre tres jolie. Hotel a recommander!

Camere molto originali, prima colazione completa, a due passi dal centro, bella terrazza sul tetto molto frequentata. Lo consiglio vivamente. Ci tornerei volentieri.
