AKA RITTENHOUSE SQUARE - فيلادلفي

I never write revies, but felt that I must do so this time! My husband ran the 2011 Philly Marathon last weekend. All of the hotels were booked months in advance. We found this hotel, the AKA Rittenhouse, on Hotels.com and grabbed it. It was not cheap, but within reason for the late booking and given that it was a marathon weekend. The hotel was extrememly clean. We have a son who had a heart transplant and we are very careful about where we stay so as not to pickup anything "funky". This hotel was great! We were upgraded to a 1 bedroon apartment because the studios were overbooked. The employees were so nice and friendly. They took the time to call us by our 1st names when we spoke and were always cheerful. It was a very different "hotel" room as it really is apartments. You get the feel of being at home. Comfortable, clean and quiet! Felt very safe and the area was very trndy and fun!

I stayed here recently for my attendance at a local conference. The hotel staff were very accommodating. The hotel is well kept. I loved having a fitness center on site. I just wish the fitness center and the coffee machines were available 24 hours. They close around 11pm. Many nights I didn't get in until 10:40 with work commitments. But my stay was just wonderful. I would definitely recommend this location to others.

I was on a business trip for 1 week from the UK. Absolutely first class appartment hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, comfortable surroundings and very convenient for local shops/restaurants, and a local gym (free to hotel guests, and very well equipped) I'm also into running, and its a short jog down Walnut to get to the river and the path that follows it. Superb place, could not recommend it more highly.

Beautiful, well-appointed kitchen. Very comfortably furnished. Excellent lighting for all situations. Tiny but lovely bathroom. I invited local friends and family to my room to cook dinner twice because it was such a pleasant experience. Overlooks Rittenhouse Square (a bustling social garden) and is very close to every kind of food and shopping you could want. Staff were well-spoken, helpful, and courteous. Room service fairly standard, but not ridiculously priced. I hated to leave. It was my little city studio apartment for a week.

We paid a little extra for a one bedroom instead of a studio room and we were thrilled by how much space we had. This hotel room was larger than our one bedroom apartment in New York. There were two televisions, one in the bedroom and one in the living room and both had premium cable channels including HBO On Demand. The kitchen was fully equipped with cooking supplies and we found ourselves wishing we were staying longer so we could use it.

The stuff were very courteous, the room was clean, modern and upscale. We requested an early checking around 12:30, which they kindly granted us "with difficulty". When we get there we realized why the guests do not check out early at this hotel (so we check in earlier), as they are enjoying their stay. Parking was offsite but still withing walking distance. Overall we have been very satisfied with our stay.

No valet parking, had to park in parking garage and walk back to hotel alone. I am female and very uncomfortable with that arrangement. Hotel room was extremely small, the bathroom was smaller than my closet at home. Hotel lobby was anything but pretty. Wierd colored lights in elevator, felt like I was inside a bar. Housekeeping inconsistant. Twice they forgot to leave a washcloth, once they forgot the hand towel. Very disappointing. Had to ask for maintainance on the toilet two days before it was serviced. This is NOT a 4-star hotel. I'm being generous in rating this as a 3 star hotel.

Great room and very spacious. The kitchen was complete down to the cooking utensils! Staff is friendly and helpful. Great location on Rittenhouse.
