Warm, friendly personel. Would definitely stay there again.

So much better than we thought, and we are eager to stay again.

Thought a 3 star hotel was not too high, but very surprised and happy with this one. Will go back again. Should be rated 4 star hotel!

Nice hotel,quiet with a comfortable bed. Dead asleep when the hotel phone rang at 1:30am from a person claiming to be from the front desk who told me that my credit card did not go through and I needed to give him the c.c. info over the phone or go to the lobby. He claimed that if I did not update the card I would be removed from the hotel immediately. I groggily thought this over and told him my stay was purchased through Hotels.com. He reiterated that if I did not comply immediately I would be kicked out. I hung up on him and after another call ended up unplugging the phone. After reporting this to the manager in the morning and establishing that there was nothing wrong with my c.c. I realized that it was a scam to get my c.c. number. The manager said he could research the phone records but I never heard back from the hotel on what happened. I was disappointed in their response, I thought they would be all over this in trying to get to the bottom of it to ensure their guests safety. I'll never know if it was an inside job or a random act.

this hotel was very nice, and quiet. It is convenient and easy to get to. It was close to the freeway, but we didn't hear any freeway noise. I would stay there again. The staff was ok but overall a nice place to stay

I always request a quiet room as I have trouble sleeping anywhere but home. Without sleeping pills, I was able to sleep through the night. They have adjustable beds as well. Something like Slect Comfort number bed although there wasn't much adjustment. I cut my thumb and asked for a Band Aid at the front desk and at first she wanted to sell me an entire package from the "convenience" store, but she eventually gave me one from the employee drawer. There is a fridgemicrowave and coffe maker with real coffe cups.

you are not really in thel mar, but everything else was great

I was really satisfied with my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Del Mar. The hotel was centrally located. The staff was friendly and accommodating. At the price it was a great value.

My week long stay was perfect. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly and the room and common areas were spotless and very comfortable. The restaurant was also surprisingly good and the surrounding neighborhood was very nice and quiet. I'll be happy to book a room there again when I visit the San Diego area.

Although a bit off the beaten path, this hotel is well worth the drive. Room was large, clean and airy. Comfortable and welcoming. Breakfest was fixed price for either the continental buffet or the hot meal fixed to order. However, do recommend that you check for Spa availability prior to making reservations.

Hotel is relatively new, quite, clean, and comfortable but less well known. Staff is friendly. Overall, we are satisfied and may return when we visit San Diego next time.

Our stay was great, the king bed was very comfortable, and the cleanliness was top notch. The hotel is in a secluded nice neighborhood and it was very quiet and clean. It's near the freeway, but not so close that you get all the freeway noise. There were only two issues that we experienced - 1. The pillows were very soft, went down to the front desk at midnight to get a couple of firm pillows and no one was around, 1 hour later there was still no one there, only a paper sign that said Be right back... 2. The fact that they charge $50 per night in addition to your room rate for incidentals, like if you get room service, or take food from the pantry, ect... It would have been nice to know this in advance before I got a random charge of $100.00 on my card, and im still waiting for it to be reimbursed since we did not purchase anything from the hotel, this is very inconvenient.

Hotel seems to be in an area of upscale apt buildings and homes. The room was smaller than I thought it would be but still a good size for 2 people. When we walked in the room the first time it was freezing. Its a nice touch if a hot day but it was a tad too cold in the room. Bathroom products were good quality and the shower was pure heaven. Mini fridge and microwave were convenient. Bed was clean but kind of on the hard side. Walls were a bit thin or the people next door had their TV on too loud. It didnt really bother me as it was just muffling sounds. Overall it was a great location and pleasant stay. Too expensive for what you get. I wouldnt stay again unless the price was cheaper.

This place is nicely tucked away near Del Mar. Very nice big rooms.

Courtesy shuttle only runs Mon-Fri. Would have been nice to know before booking. Ended up with a $35 cab ride, each way.

We requested 2 queen beds but got 1 king-size. There were no rooms available to change to. A fully-grown adult had to sleep on a roll-away squeezed into the room after the furniture was rearranged. The good news is the quality of the roll-away at this hotel was better than average. The only other negative to the hotel was one staff person at the front desk who was rude to us despite our non-confrontational request as to why we were not given the two queen beds we reserved. We just wanted to know where the miscommunication had occurred but she was very snippy. Everyone else was delightful.

My daughter had a soccer tournament at University of San Diego and the hotel was very close to the tourney. The room was very convenient for our needs and the staff was very helpful and even let us check in the morning versus the normal 3pm check in time. Coffee/Tea/Water bar was open pretty much all day. We didn't get a chance to go to the pool, it is not a full size pool. I didn't see a crowd either. Very quiet atmosphere. Thee best Italian restaurant minutes away. The small refrigerator/microwave was a plus to have in our room. The adjustable bed mattress was very comfortable. Would love to come back and it is recommended to my friends and family members.

Staff was very friendly. Close to many activities and only a 20 minute drive to the Zoo. Slightly above average rooms for a Hilton Garden Inn.

Great place to stay, very clean, comfortable and welcoming. It is close to a lot of things and just north of San Diego's hot spots, so it is great for the next day heading back to LA/San Fran. We will definitely stay there again.

The hotel was very nice, the breakfast was so so, the omlets were very small and not a big variety of the so called buffett. It was free in St. George Utah and very good there, we were very surprised that it was not free at this lication and not as good as the free one. Front desk help was a long wait at check out, one agent being concierge and overly helpful to the people she was helping leaving a line behind of us waiting to be helped. Finally your assist. manager came to help. I understand wanting to tell your customers about all the wonderful things going on in the area, printing out all sorts of maps and so forth. But the ones that need to get going and have a need for personal check out feel quite frustrated to continue to wait and hear you going on and on. Room service was great and quick.

Really nice small hotel. Our room was set up for work with a large desk, we were there to play so the room environment seemed a little business like. The micro, fridge and coffee pot were welcome and the bed was very comfortable. Also we noticed very little noise during our stay. it is a great location, we will stay here again.. Pool was small and the hot tub very small.

Loved the hotel location! The hotel was clean and good room service. The hotel is located about 15mins away from Sea World and 20mins from Animal Park. The area located was perfect.

Very pleasant stay--quiet, very helpful staff;

Just stayed here for the ROC race and the location was not far from the packet pick up location and only 10 minutes away from the race. Quiet and hidden away...I don't remember running into too many other guests unless they were in the bar/restaurant area. Only stayed one night so we didn't quite figure out the right number for the sleep number beds so it didn't sound like any of us got a great nights sleep. I think we made them too soft. Maybe a higher number would have been better. The room was clean, and they had a mini fridge and microwave so it was really nice. Would stay here again.

my boyfriend and i enjoyed this hotel very much. we got a room with a balcony and the balcony was awesome- very big and roomy. the room was nice and clean. It was also very cool that we borrowed a dvd player from the front desk. downsides: breakfast isnt free toothbrushes cost 2 bucks the bed sucked they havent given me back my deposit yet when i stayed two days ago.

Easy on and off I-5. They do have printed directions to stores and eating areas. It was easier for us to go to areas closer to I-5. Staff was super helpful. Breakfast was well worth it.

I probably would have never found this particular hotel without hotels.com but it was a great stay nonetheless. The bar allowed us to take drinks from the bar up to our room without a room service fee. The gentleman at the front desk referred us to a fantastic breakfast spot and even printed maps out for us. The room was big and comfortable and clean. The shower was better than the one I have at home. We couldn't figure out the adjustable beds but slept like babies regardless. I totally recommend this hotel even if it is in a bit of a random spot.

The hotel itself was well maintained and clean. My dissatisfaction with this hotel was with the poor quality of the customer service and the inconsistency in the information provided.

Very nice hotel. Wonderful staff. Very courteous and helpful. Room was nice only flaw was bed didn't function as it was designed but comfortable enough for the time we were there.

We arrived tired from a 100 mile bike ride event and were treated with a nice jacuzzi, a quiet room, and great recommendations for where to eat and shop the next day. The hotel is a little out of the way, but that's what made it so nice. We didn't mind driving 10 minutes to get to where we wanted to go. Overall, excellent experience and would highly recommend.

Very nice hotel. Very friendly staff. A bit out of the way and tricky to find and pricey. But a relatively small hotel that still had all the comforts of a large hotel.
