Our stay was a very good one we stayed in the executive suite which was very spacious, the one little problem we encountered were the mosquitoes. there were some in our room, but our stay was a very nice one. would return to the hotel if we visit again. Trudy

We spent only 1 night at the Ginger Lily after having spent 6 nights at a 5-star resort not too far away. My review is somewhat influenced, I think, by the difference between the two places. The positives: You are very close (across the street) from Reduit Beach, which is a beautiful beach. If you are looking for a place that is almost beach-front, this is your place. The room we stayed in was clean enough and bright with a big bathroom and an adequate kitchen (though we did not use it). There are plenty of restaurants (from American, to Chinese, to Indian, to local fare) within walking distances. We highly recommend Rituals Coffee for coffee and breakfast fare, and Elana's Ice Cream is a MUST DO! Negatives: Noise. Our room was an "executive suite" at the front of the hotel. We heard every bit of noise ALL NIGHT on Friday night. I think I last woke to street noise at about 6:30 am (for about the 5th time that night), and then around 7:30, I started to hear the front desk phone ring, the grounds crew trimming leaves and watering plants, and various conversations in the lobby. Don't rent this room -- #11. Also, the pull-out couch was very, very uncomfortable. We are a family of 4, and for sleeping that night we had me and my daughter on the couch -- we felt every single spring in the mattress. My husband and son (both significantly larger than me and my daughter) slept on the Queen bed and found it to be comfortable enough. I don't know if all the couches are as bad as ours -- again, don't rent room #11 -- but between the noise and the couch mattress, we certainly would have asked to be moved if we were staying longer than one night. Again, we had just moved from a 5 star resort where we enjoyed total comfort and peach & quiet for 6 nights, so I am probably being a little unfair. If we ever go back and simply want a decent place to crash close to shops & the beach, we would stay here again -- but NOT in room #11.

The hotel was great! only having 11 rooms it was awesome not being in a busy, crowded hotel. Things were always kept very clean and the staff was helpful. Very enjoyable experience all around

It could not have been better. The location was walkable to everything in Rodney Bay, and reasonably priced.

Awesome hotel. I honestly felt like there were only three rooms in this hotel, the way it was set up. No real amenities at hotel, but there all in the neighborhood. (rest, bars etc.) We loved this place!!

Whatever the situation real or given by staff don't stay in room 11. The Hotel location is great. Its right off of Rodney bay and walking distance from St. Lucia’s famous eating strip and the Bay Mall. The hotels looks exactly like the pictures portray. It has a very cosy, clean and intimate feel. It’s well kept and staffs are friendly and polite. Our Experience We were upgraded from our original deluxe rooms, to a suite Room 10. We spent the first two nights in Room 10 which was a lovely experience. The suite offered the privacy and came with the convenience of a kitchenette and a lovely porch. With the exception of getting some kitchen smells early in the morning (since we were not at home during the day) Room 10 was just lovely. The Only Problem We liked it so much that we decided to pay to stay in the suite for an extra night which worked out fine since we were told that Room 10 was the only available room anyway as all other rooms were booked. However on our final day we were told that we had to move to room 11, which is also a suite but it’s the closest room to the roadway. Note that we were not asked but told that we had to move to room 11 (let just say they dealt with my husband not me) so not wanting to cause any drama we moved from our booked room to room 11. Room 11 was horrible. For starters the suite and adjacent porch is not at all private since its positioned right at the entrance of the hotel and the room is on ground level. To enjoy some privacy we had to close up all the shutters and draw the drapes which defeated the purpose of choosing a place like Ginger Lily. Then, when night fell, the porch light (for which there was no off switch) shone straight into our faces due to the positioning of the bed. This was compounded by the unbearable noise, cars and motorbikes seemed to be inside the suite. I have to say I was very pleased with my stay at the Ginger Lily. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. They were never without a smile and kind word. I found the room to be VERY big and more like a small apartment. The bathroom was huge! My room was always clean and housekeeping was available for all my needs. The hotel is on the main strip in Rodney Bay so a short walk to the beach, restaurants and night life. Great location! My stay was absolutely better than expected and I would definitely stay there again.

It is clean, has internet access in room, and minimum conditions. The surrounding restaurants are very good, especially Buzz.

Nous avions réservé une chambre pour 2 adultes et 2 ados. Si le lit pour les parents était confortable, il n'en était pas de même pour les enfants : ils se sont retrouvés sur un canapé-lit qui devait dater..... car on sentait les ressorts ; j'ai dû rajouter des couches de serviettes éponge pour amortir ! Nous avions également une cuisine........... où il n'y avait rien pour cuisiner ! les ustensiles de cuisson tellement usagés que j'ai hésité à les utiliser ! on avait 2 assiettes et 3 couteaux (pour 4) et quand j'ai demandé du supplément on m'a donné un couteau à pain...... pour couper un bifteck c'est pratique !

Really great little cosy hotel. Great place for any sort of traveller. Could have been the perfect hotel but unfortunately the offer breakfast and can't cook or prepare anything decent. Our experience was really bad when we tried breakfast (the only meal of the day the offer) and we just felt really bad .. on their behalf. Because everything else was such a good experience and made for a great stay.

certainement le meilleur hotel du coin, trés charmant, chambre et spacieuse et trés confortable, piscine et jardin agréables. on a fait une étape de 2 jours à rodney bay, il est ne faut certainement pas y rester + longtemps si vous etes allergique au tourisme américain de masse ( mais cet hotel est trés preservé de tout ça justement)

Good service and very reasonable pricing. Has everything you need except if you are looking for great dining at the hotel.

cadre merveilleux, dépaysement totale sans toutes fois se coupé de la civilisation nombreux restaurants (certes un peu couteux pour le pays mais bon c'est pas la mer à boire ) plusieurs activités aux alentours je conseil vivement cette hôtel à toute le monde qui dispose d'un petit budget pour une escapade sympa sur ile de sainte Lucie

voilà bientôt deux fois que j'y séjourne rien à dire le personnel impect! les chambres spacieuses et propre très important. je dirais un havre de paix...
