The Courtyard at John Ascuagas Nugget - سباركس

Mine was a over night stay but I couldn't be there for more than 6 hrs. It is 2 star clean. Has few amenities except you can't lock your restroom door (same for any room in that hotel!). Staff were fast and helpful though, not sure if it matters in this case.

Everything was wonderful. The check-in, the valet, (the help from them when I couldnt find my car check ticket), the room was so clean and comfortable I wanted to live there fultime. The business office finding website for my bank was so helpful and gracious. The restraunt was priced right and the food first class. Enjoyable congenial staff throughout. What a bargain for all we got in service and comfort. We will be back.

That concrete swimming hole was first rate. They even had bicycles to ride but they didn't go anywhere. Everybody was so nice to me and made me feel right at home, but that home isn't near as fancy. They were going to put me up in the courtyard but they didn't have room down there so they put me in this big tall fancy hotel.

The hotel staff wasn't competent, tv remote didn't work, pay per view wouldn't work, phone barely worked. Maintenance guy was over subscribed, likely because the rest of the rooms had similar problems to ours. JA Nugget should be embarrassed of this property, and the "C Team" that run it. It's location is easy to get to, room service prompt, pizza, baked potato, veggies all hot and good tasting. The bathroom was so dirty though, my gal any I won't go back, not even at half the price.

I was advised when I arrived that the Courtyard was completely booked and that the Nugget was moving me to the West Tower. There was no additional charge for the change in hotels. All the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a blast. Friendly and accomidating

The weekend we stayed a national dog show was happening so we had a lot of dogs staying at the motel. If you are a dog lover you would have been in Heaven, but if not this would not have been the place for you that weekend. I on the other hand was in heaven especially since I got to love on 2 big St. Bernards who were in the show. Made my day. This motel had numerous tv channels, convient to the main casino and a great swimming/hot tub area located in the main casino. One issue my son had was the bedspreads are old an need updating.

We were upgraded to the main hotel. The Atrium area is wonderful. So nice to swim in January. The room was very comfortable.

We chose to stay at the Nugget because it was conveniently located next to I-80. The check-in was fast, and we were put up in the West tower. The room was in good condition, with dated decor, but clean and maintained. Road noise (our major concern being next to the interstate) was non-existent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Neighborhood was of concern when we pulled in, but the parking areas are brightly lit, well maintained, and we had no problems. The only drawback was that we chose to eat at an in-house deli located next to the sportsbook. The food was edible, but bland. All of it, including the pizza, the cheesesteak sandwich, and the Ruben sandwich. We did not eat there on our return trip, but did stay for another night. Overall, due to the price and location, I recommend this hotel as a nice, comfortable place to stay.

the room was very clean, the bed was comfy, the staff was very friendly. we simply have no complaints. thank you!

This "annex" hotel of the much larger John Ascuaga's Nugget hotel was closed upon arrival (due to lack of people) our pre-paid reservation was honored without question at the much larger Nugget Hotel (across the parking lot..no big deal at all). Our stay was terrific.

The room was great. Clean. Comfortable beds great set up in the big room, great bathroom, great shower, I loved this hotel. The casino is right downstairs. There are plenty of restaurants to eat in wi8th good food. There is nothing around this hotel, but you have everything you need for a nice stay right there for a good time

My stay was pleasant, everything was in close proximity. My only complaint is my TV would not work, couldn't even get it to turn on, other than that I highly recommend staying again. Price was right.

Great

Clean, comfortable, no amenities.The Nugget is less than 200 yards away. If all you need is a place to sleep and inexpensive is important. The Court Yard is great.

Just a place to crash. No in room coffee, no refrigerator, small TV. If all your going to do is go out and gamble or enjoy the Rib-Cook off, then this is the place for you. This is an old hotel, so don't expect it to be new.

The rooms were clean but OLD! No har dyers or coffee pots!

went for hot august nights. good location, located right underneath hwy- 80 but very quiet. convenient to walk to regular nugget. no gaming at courtyard so not hectic. however nowhere to eat but short walk to nugget for facilities. building very old. shower/tub would not drain so maintenence had to come and fix. shower was good once draining problem fixed. bathroom floor very dirty looking from scuff type marks on the floor. ice machines need to be replaced. took forever to get ice and making of ice took along time. near bus shuttle to other areas but did not use. bed linen very old and worn ex. tears and holes in bedspread however bath towels were not bad for such an economical hotel. ate at regular nugget. good service and variety of eateries. great gift shop at nugget. courtyard a nice quiet get away stay with nightlife right next door at the nugget.

Dated facilites, needs extensive updating. Nice people working there. NO problems with stay.

I booked a room at the courtyard. Went to the main hotel and asked if I checked in there. Was told yes. Stood in line only to be told that I couldn't check in there are went to the correct location,stood in line only they couldn't find the res. Once they located it I was informed that I was "upgraded" and had to go backwell to the first location to check in where I got to stand online yet again. The person who finally checked me in didn't care about the inconvience and my frustration. She never even apologized on behalf of the hotel.

The whole place is run down, the rooms are floral to the 10th degree and the bed is below avaerage. A below average hotel for the price indeed. The A/C unit sounds like a dump truck and will wake you from a shallow and light sleep everytime it engages. When I checked in a quest was complaining about something and ask for it to be repaired or to be moved, once I got into the room, I realized what she was complaining of. Stay here if everything in Reno is booked (my situation) other than that, save your money and put it into the slots or tables.

Don't bother staying at this place. Nothing works (air, TV, sliding balcony doors). The place looks like it was built in the late 1950's!. They should just blow up the place and start over. Very dissatisfied.

This building is much older and not as nice as the Nugget property across the parking lot. However, it was clean and staff was helpful.

I believed we were staying at the Nugget-the main one but it is a poorly renovated older courtyard Marriott We stood in a good size line after a drive from the Bay area(4+hrs) only to find out we were staying around the corner(a block away) it was 30*outside. There is no covered or enclosed walkway. I paid double the value for the room!!, a small TV and a single sink small bathroom area. The shower worked OK but it did not drain. I was really disappointed with the whole experience. Ironically, I just was invited to a wedding at the same location,in May --will not recommend this hotel--though I am curious how the "REAL" J.A.Nugget compares.That what I paid for

I wouldn't even send my worst enemy to this place. It is disgraceful and unacceptable.

The following represents my opinions of the hotel, facilities and staff and my general experience: My stay was to attend the Splash2010 Conf across the street at the main hotel. However the main hotel fee across the street was beyon my govt limit for per diem, so I stayed at this place. This hotel did not bother with fitted sheets so you could clearly see the bare matress. The elevated highway was just 40 feet directly away from my window so opening the widow provided both loud highway noise and concentrated smog, but the room needed airing out so there was little choice. There was hair on the bathroom ceiling which came with the room. There was no free Internet service. The TV remote did not initially work and I had to call for service. I was told the room usually cost $40 less than what I was charged by the front desk staff. The quality of the room was dilapidated. I do not think I picked up any lice or bedbugs, but I in my opinion its only a matter of time given the way the room was kept. On the positive side, I was given free access to the main casino hotel pool across the street which was a nice sized pool with a locker room and access to free locks to secure personal items. The casino resturants are reasonable qualty for the price. and the casino staff was nice as was the staff at this hotel. However, I would not want to stay at this hotel again. Its gross. I personally would prefer a campsite. Honestly, my scalp and back have the sensation of something crawling on them just thinking about the experience to write this review.

hotel was ok, had trouble getting heat in room , finally got it straightened out, no restaurant on site, had to walk short distance from hotel to main casino for dining.

Went for the Rib Cook-off in Sparks, hotel was very convenient to the festivities. Loved it.

The rooms were fairley comfortable. The only drawback that I thought was going to be a problem was that it is very close to the freeway. I was pleasantly surprised that the rooms are very well soundproofed. I would recomend this hotel to everyone. The casino is just alittle walk from the hotel. The hotel rates are very resonable.

Close to casino and restrants

This hotel is not part of the actual John Asquagua's Nugget hotel; it's like the ugly stepchild, on the other side of the freeway. Maybe it was an old original Sparks, NV motel and JA bought it since it was so close, but it definitely needs a remodel. Real metal roomkeys- not passcards! I could have paid the same at a Motel 6. The good thing is that there's no gambling in the hotel- if you want that you just walk under the freeway to the "real" hotel.

it is in a great location, many things to do in walking distance, even for the whole family.

...and not just for the casino. Your "convenient wireless Internet" will cost you $9.99 per day for starters. If you stay here, I hope you win it all back at the casino.

This Hotel is right where the Action is at for the 4th! Very Nice! But they could afford better TV''s than a 19in. and a little better Pluming I think. My Toilet kept running. Plus the Air ducts need to be cleaned badly! The Beds were OK, but could be better. There was Coffee in the Morning But no Continental Breakfast, although you could buy Pastries there. Still should of complimentary. I did like all the supplies at the Counter for a fair price, overall the Stay was decent, but expected the Courtyard to be a little fancier than it was, no different really than a Motel 6.

I like the closeness of the hotel to the town, and freeway. The only thing I missed was a hair dryer in my room and coffee. I was up on the 5th. floor and some of us do like our coffee upon getting up in the morning. Other than these 2 things I mentioned I had a wonderful stay. Thank You
