Would recommend to anyone going to melbourne

the room need more cleanliness, washing machine need to be look at, inside lots of hair..

Very happy with the location, standard of accomadation and low budget price .

Nice, modern one bedroom apartment. Large kitchen and bathroom and even enough room (just) to entertain my boyfriend's extended family of 16 when they came around for an impromptu visit!

Love this location but apartments desperately need a re-vamp. Stained damaged lounges etc.

A very spacious and well equipped room, well suited to our family with two teenagers. Convenient location, especially for theatres and restaurants. Would recommend.

Stayed 2 nights in a 2BR apartment on level 25 in summer time. Pros: Magnificent views Good room layout. Generous sized apartment. Great kitchen. 2 Balconies. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Cons: Furniture a bit worn King Size bed is just 2 x King Singles joined together, making the middle of the bed uncomfortable. Small TV, faulty DVD cable (was replaced when asked). Aircon unit in Living Room worked great, but no ducting to individual rooms ... had to leave bedroom doors open to get cool. No fly screens on doors/windows.... A spider made its way in to main bedroom via the balcony. Balcony off living room was dirty (top of hand rails) No table/chairs on bedroom balcony. A little disappointed that we couldn't rate it 5/5

We were so delighted with our 1 bed apartment. Beds were so comfortable, rooms value for money and the position was fantastic. We went back a week later because we just wanted to experience the luxury before flying out to WA.

Oaks on Lonsale is in a great CBD location - near trams, restaurants and supermarkets. The 24/7 service desk was excellent for us as we didnt get in til midnight. Would stay there again.

The room and staff we're good, the only thing I did not like was not having a seating area, either in my room or a retreat area in the hotel to lounge in.

Looking to stay there again for next visit to Melbourne... Very convenience, stroll to most part of Melbourne CBD attractions, next door to Chinatown and City Circle Tram station. Really enjoyed the stayed with The Oaks, reception has been friendly, room clean and comfortable. The only shortfall is that we stayed at a 2 bedroom apartment, the bath whilst is a shower (within the bathtub) is hard for elderly to access.

We were on the 23rd floor looking over Lonsdale Street, and into the parks beyond, not a bad view. The self-contained 1 bedroom apartment itself was very tired and in need of a complete repaint and furniture replacement. We had to contact reception, the kitchen was not properly stocked and no instruction manuals for the kitcen appliances, a few laminated signs would have sorted out how to work the appliances. We had a lovely time exploring Melbourne and the hotel was convenient. The last night some drunk fools set off the fire alarm, 23 floors via the emergency stairs at 5am not fun. On arriving at ground floor we found a very uninterested staff member (only one on duty) who eventually said it was a false alarm and to go back upstairs. You now have 29 floors of people milling around waiting for the lift!!!

The king bed room on the 27th floor was very good. Spacious and nicely furnished, with a separate loungeroom and with a microwave in the well stocked kitchen. There was even a washing machine and dryer. It was also lovely sitting on the balcony. The only downside was the shower in the bath. Not necessary as it was a very spacious room and could have been apart from the bath. Take your own coffee as it is not good. Overall, good value for the price.

the enterance lobby was not classy, it needs color and pizzaz, yet the room was excellent.

The hotel was situated well and offered excellent customer service. The room was clean and had a lovely view. The room was also well appointed with a very comfortable bed (hard to find in hotels and motels). The only suggestions I would put forward are that a couple of hooks in the bathroom would be useful for clothing, an extra towel for ladies with long hair and the car-park is a nightmare! One ramp for entry and exit????? I know you have limited space but Victorian planning laws may need review. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I will stay at this hotel again. Thank you to all your staff.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel in general and my room in particular. The hotel is close to a number of City Circle stops. I was disappointed to find no microwave in the kitchenette or a table and chair to sit at/on for my evening meal. The bathroom had plenty of room for toiletries and was very well appointed.

We enjoyed our stay, howver, there was only 1 glass in the room and on teaspoon. There was nio baking tgray for the oven...we wishes to reheat a pizza.

The stay was great, hotel fine, however the people who booked next door partied most of Saturday night & played loud music then again early in the morning i.e. 4am when they arrived home from their night clubbing. There was also several people in the room at the one time making a lot of noise. We wondered who was on the front desk at the time.

Overall service was fantastic. Beautiful 1 bed room apartment with laundry and kitchen facility. Both Room and Living room has got TV. Very near to all amenities. Next to hotel theres a convenient store, which is very convenient if you need to get milk and they also sell liquor. The only sad side about this apartment is that, no wifi in all rooms, you need to go to reception counter for Wifi service. Hopefully they could improve that soon. Will surely go back to Oaks on Lonsdale when Im back to Melbourne.

I always enjoy staying at Oaks on Lonsdael.. but this time noticed that the walls either need a really good clean or paint, and the lounge suite was also stained and needed a clean. This aside... the room was clean, very comfortable, and the service excellent. I will definately use this hotel again, but hope they put some time into cleaning as mentioned above.

I had a 1br apartment on 25th floor - nice and quiet but could hear/see the city from the balcony. Fantastic knowledgeable staff and the quality of the room was above average, and to my surprise included a fully equipped kitchen. Walking distance to a bunch of major sights, but also just a couple of steps to the metro train station and the free tourist bus. Easily the best hotel I have stayed in and would stay there again.

We had a very comfortable stay, apartment was spacious and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we would stay there again when we are in Melbourne.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. It was quite spacious, fairly modern but nothing that flash. We asked for a king size bed but ended up with 2 singles; the join between the 2 beds was annoying. We had a problem with the room key cards not working properly. Always took a few attempts; very annoying! didn't need to use the room key card to use the lifts (wasn't working) and the after hour door was kept open for anyone to use as it was out of order too. I was a little concerned about the security. Room was nicely cleaned and service was average.

Apart from a mix up with our room upgrade the service provided was very good. Excellent location and staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

Our two bedroom apartment was clean, neat and was serviced daily. It was not obvious from any signage where we were to put dirty towels that needed replacing. The airconditioning was only in the family/living area making the bedrooms very hot and uncomfortable to sleep in (even in only 30 degree weather). Overall, an enjoyable stay that provided good value for money.

overall a great place to stay, clean, good service. was not that impressed when the cleaners took away the sachet of laundry powder, reception could sell me another one for $1 - the sort of thing I'd expect from a backpackers not a serviced apartment of this level. I don't think one sachet of complementary laundry detergent per stay is too much to ask for.

The hotel was great and the staff was very accomodating. In hindsight however I woudl not get the studio but upgrade to the 1 bed apartment. The incremental cost is well worth it for the space and the view.

The only thing we werent happy with was that the parking was $20 a night... its a bit much considering we were staying in the hotel. we traveled from perth to sydney and stopped along the way and this hotel was the only one where we had to pay for parking our car. otherwise- no complaints at all... excellent for city life and sites!

Location good, no pool was a let down, the studio rooms were a let down! However the apartment rooms were awsome. The rooms on the 29 floor were fantastic. Overall very good. Not the hotel to choose if your looking for nice lobby, bar restaurant etc but the room was awsome and location very Central. Staff were great.

comfortable bed, great view, good location, well-equipped kitchenette. Only thing I might suggest would be a sitting arrangement for eating - even just bar stools to eat at counter.

Have stayed at this place a number of times now, its comfy, and staff were efficient. The one bedroom units are spacious and I like the fact you can open the windows and balcony doors and get some fresh Melbourne air. My only issue on this visit was that I accidentally locked my room key in room and could not gain access after a late night out - there was no emergency security number to call, so I spent the night walking the streets - a bit of a trap, I'm sure I'm not the first to do it. look fwd to staying here again.

We arrived in Melbourne for a business trip after a long flight from the USA only to find the Oaks on Lonsdale not anywhere near the high rating it showed on Hotels.com. Despite the details of the hotel that were described on the web site, the hotel did not have internet, no desk to work from and no lights in the bathroom. The space was very cramped. We contacted the front desk and asked for the internet that was detailed on the web site which they brought up a 3 foot internet cable that only gave you the option to stand by the wall to read or send emails. Since this is a business trip and not a vacation, it was very important to be able to work from the hotel, which was impossible. Melbourne is such a beautiful place, however our stay at Oaks on Lonsdale put a huge damper on our business trip.

It's kind of best off in regard of location. I've had a very large appartment with a nice view, that makes it worthwile a stay. Otherwise, the service is bad, the receptionist wasn't there upon my arrival (I had to call via my home country, no tel provided there. They don't know how to clean. Internet services, which you have to pay for, is absolutely "monkey business". After you downloaded 200MB (allthough you've paid for 24 hours), they reduce the speed. Also, to tell you this, the connection is cut off, until you agree on the new and lower speed, or put up with paying more.

Excellent location, spacious room. Great for a small group or families.

Position was great for what we required. Rooms were generous in size, would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone

We stayed in a lovely one bed apartment with good views and balcony. It was a great location and very well appointed.

Great location for central city.

Great location near china town and city Restaurants. Front desh staff friendly & very helpful with cab bookings & a place for breakfast nearby. Bed Very comfortable. Parking available on site at reasonable daily charge. Good value and will definitely stay there again
