Excellent hotel with spacious balconies overlooking beautiful views. Beautiful restaurant! However, it's a bit on the remote site so if u want to go to Como it needs about an hour and it's not easy to find taxi on the street (u need to call). It's a very quiet town but the residents are friendly:)

Arrived in Lecco by train and decided to walk to the hotel. Takes around 15 mins, a taxi costs 15 euro's !!. A little tip, take the lower road to the hotel, as there is a lift up to the reception floor. The hotel is very clean, and all staff understand English very well and are all very helpfull. We stayed in room 508, with an unbelievable view of the lake. Breathtaking !!!! The room was large, with 2 double beds and a decent sized bathroom. Things to note though, was no brewing facilities and no bath. The restaurant was on the 6th floor, giving a panoramic view of the lake. Not a great selection on the menu, but the service was first class, as was the quality of the food. The hotel bar was shut over the weekend, but they did offer a free selection of soft drinks and 3 bottles of wine - nice touch, as we were the only ones in there. Lecco itself, in February, was obviously very cold, with not a great deal to do. Shops that were open were limited, and again obviously there was no activity on the lake. But after a day trip to the over hyped Bellagio, we definatly stayed in the right town on the lake. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel for Bellagio, which was very handy. Plenty of little cafe bars, which serve you a plate of nibbles with every round was very welcoming. The train station is easy to reach, and easy to use. A train to Milan takes 40 mins, and cost around 5 euros each way. All in All, a great little town, with a fantastic hotel in Griso. Stunning views, big rooms and a peaceful romantic getaway.

We selected this hotel for its lake view and we were not disappointed. You must get a junior suite that overlooks the lake - fantastic! Best breakfast on our whole Italy trip with an even better view of the lake from the top floor restaurant. The blood orange juice is the best juice I have ever tasted. Very modern/stylish room, comfortable bed, nice bag. Large balcony (10 ft by 20 ft) with chairs and table. Its approximately a 1/2 mile walk to the city and on a main road heading north. Cab is a bit expensive at 20 euros but we took the bus back to the train station on the way back for only 4 euros (depends on how many bags you have whether you need to spend for the cab and what time of day). There was a little confusion at the front desk about whether we needed to buy a ticket in advance for the bus to Bellagio (stop just outside the hotel). We ended up walking to town and buying our ticket there. Don't miss Bellagio - very quaint and great view of lake. PS the man at the newspaper "tabachi" at the top of the hill bent over backwards to get us bus schedule information - grazi.

This hotel may not be the most convineient, but it is lovely. Perfect if you have a car, but walkable to Lecco in hte high season. We stayed in the winter and the view of Lecco from the hotel is wonderful. Our room was very nice and spacious. The bed was very, very comfortable. Breakfast was nice and the view from the breakfast room is also amazing!

My husband and I stayed here the last couple days of a 3-week stay in Italy. This was our favorite spot out of Aviano, Venice, Rome, Florence, Maratea and one day in Slovenia. However, all these places had their own special unique beauty and greatness. Maratea would be our second favorite being ocean lovers and it being right on the Amalfi Coast. But the town of Lecco on Lake Como is so quaint and lovely, and the beautiful room/balcony lake view we had at Hotel Griso made the experience even more breathtaking. The room was close enough to walk into town and explore it thoroughly on both sides of the lake, and the side roads off the lake up the hill was a fabulous stroll. We were there in September and the weather was just perfect. A swimming pool would have been nice since I love to swim, but there was so much to see in town and just relaxing on the balcony taking in the beautiful scenery made up for not having one. The hotel dining experience is a gorgeous view and the food was fabulous that they put out for breakfast each morning. The dinners looked very appealing, but we ate earlier in town. The market up the hill, Euro Spin, had great prices on wine and snacks. I have already highly recommended this hotel for the Lake Como area as a very professional, high-quality place, with a very comfortable bed by the way that we didn't have earlier in our trip at any of the other places. A nice hotel. Big rooms for European standards with big balconies overlooking the lake and the beautiful mountains if you are on the higher floors. Friendly staff. Great breakfast served in a beautiful room with fantastic views. The location is a little far from all the activities if you don't have a car. It's a 20 minute walk from the train station, which could be quiet difficult if you have a lot of luggage.

Well-maintained hotel at Lake Como/Lecco. Spaciouse rooms with huge balconies, most of them with a nice view (esp. ones on the upper levels). Lower levels are less attractive. Room design and facilities are quite good, we liked 360 deg. turning TV in our junior suite. Wi-fi was so slow that it couldn't be really used at all. The hotel's restaurant was fully booked at the specific night we needed it. The selection of the restaurants within walking distance is extremely limited; the closest restaurant was in 15-min walk. Neighbourhood is mostly motorways. Lake shore next to the hotel is not suitable for sunbaths, walking or swimming. Some construction work is in progress where, hopefully it's gonna be a beach not a gas station.

Wonderfully positioned hotel on the lake, within easy walking distance of Lecco. We had a balcony with a lovely view of the lake. only stayed one night but we were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, which does not look particularly appealing from the outside. lovely breakfast with another lake vista. Would definitely return.

The hotel is hard to find, even with GPS. The name Clarion or signage is less than adequate. Once found however, it is easy to get to. The location is superb. and the views from each room balcony onto the lake and town of Lecco are just marvelous. The breakfast was fantastic and breakfast room on top of the hotel with great views of the Lake was out of this wrold. The people behind the desk seem to not understand too much Englaish but were helpful. The location was simply perfect and ideal for exporing the Como Area. We woudl stay again and again and again.

Thoroughly impressed with this place. The most amazing view...with huge private balconies overlooking the water. The rooms are modern and in pristine condition. The setting couldn't be more perfect and the staff was so friendly. Absolutely a perfect piece of paradise that I can't wait to return to.

The rooms are a little small with not much drawer space, but overall the rooms were very comfortable, clean, and quite, with fabulous views from the balcony. The breakfast is simple but good with fresh fruit. The hotel is just a short walk into town. There is a laundromat downdown if you need to do laundry, and it took just a very short time...we read our tour bookks while we waited. If you drive and park, be aware of the scam artists who "help" you with your public parking....they loiter around the parking lot and do some minor gesture implying they deserve a tip for their "service".

This is a resort hotel at a very reasonable price. The quality of the amenities and the very competent and friendly staff were much appreciated. The only issue was the distance from the main train station in Lecco. It was a 2k walk from the downtown area of Lecco to the hotel which was located across the lake in Malgrate. Once the hotel staff and the TI representatve provided the pertinent information about the local public transportation options (in this case, bus), all was perfect.

An excellent hotel- comfortable, spacious rooms with a knock out view of Lake Como. Well positioned for walking to Lecco town or travelling around lake Como. No pool is the only minuspoint, but the hotel is a stone's throw from Lake Como if you fancy a dip!

Very clean, modern and functional hotel with all the amenities you could hope for. The staff are generally helpful and the restaurant facilities are exceptional. Each room has a balcony overlooking Lake Como providing for a wonderful setting. Getting into Lecco is very easy and there are numerous buses and boats to and from all of the other big towns.

This hotel far surpassed our expectations. We had a lake view, which was just stunning. The windows were panoramic and the balcony huge and clean. Rooms great and very big. Just over 10 mins walk into Lecco which was perfect for us. Amazing value. Although we didnt have breakfast and our friends did, they did say this was very dissapointing, so maybe room only would be my advice

location was excellent walking distance from Lecco , all rooms lake view and near main roads of both lake sides . services was good and staff was kind and happy to assist .

This hotel was very clean and plush and well-located. The views are absolutely spectacular!! The breakfast was wonderful!The only negatives were that there is substantial road noise, so you can't sleep with the door to your beautiful patio open....and there was a problem with the air conditioning at night. They had brief power outages.... which would not be a problem, except that you have to have them "reset "the room in order for the air conditioning to work again. So, we spent 2 uncomfortably hot nights, unnecessarily (at least, that's what I understand).

Great hotel with nice Lake Como view. Very clean and well maintained. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly.

It is overpriced, but nice place for a family and lovely scenes.

Had visited the area during the X-mas holidays and found it to be an ideal location for getting to all the major area attractions with terrific service. I have to admit, I was a bit reluctant of having reserved a Clarion as I didn't think it would offer great amenities and services. However, I read the reviews, followed the suggestions, and made the reservations--it was all correct. The rooms were of a nice size, very clean and we had a terrific view. The hotel's restaurant is very nice as was the bar area--nice alcoves from which to relax and unwind. The staff were super nice, always willing to help with any request and helped make it a nice vacation. I really recommend it and will be a guest again--look forward to coming back.

This hotel was a jewel and and very reasonable; rooms are very nice with a sitting area in addition to the sleeping area. Breakfast buffet included was excellent.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights as a base to travel around the different little towns around Lake Como. We hired a car and found the place easy to find and parking was on site and free. The staff were helpful, the rooms were smallish however they were clean and everything was in place. We had a large balcony looking over the lake. Breakfast (like many Italian hotels) was a little disappointing but other than that all was ok.

Location is a bit out of town 15 minute walk. The Hotel is very good with very large rooms superb views over lake Como. The hotel is had a wedding on when we were there which limited the ability to get a drink in the bar. Dinner was good (rather formal - we felt a bit underdressed in shorts and t shirt).

The room and the view from the balcony was a real treat. We had 5 star treatment and a gorgeous meal in the hotel restaurant.

L'hotel est très bien. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. La décoration des chambres est un peu fade et froide confirmant le nom de l'hotel: griso. C'est dommage. Le restaurant est très bien et le petit déjeuner remarquable avec une vue superbe sur le lac.

We zijn erg tevreden over het hotel. Er waren nergens klachten over. Het enige jammere was dat het verwarrend was om het hotel te vinden. Dit omdat er in Lecco een zelfde adres was als in Malgraten. Wij dachten dat het hotel in Lecco was, maar het ligt in malgraten en heet Griso Lecco. beetje verwarrend dus. Verder was alles top. het ligt dicht bij het Comomeer, op loopafstand, uitzicht fantastisch, pizzeria in de buurt, kamer perfect, personeel vriendelijk, ontbijt zeer goed met ook een prachtig uitzicht op het Comomeer. Volgend jaar wordt dat weer onze tussenstop.

Hôtel agréable, au calme, très proche de LECCO (2 mn à pied)

Hotellet kan anbefales som et godt stop, som et godt udgangspunkt til ture ved Como søen. God restauration med en fin morgenmad.

Très bon hotel, des chambres équipées de tv lcd, lit de 180 cm... Les chambre sont propres et modernes, vu sur le lac. Grand balcon. j'y retournerai volontiers

Hatten einen super Aufenthalt im Griso. Alle Zimmer mit Balkon auf den See, die Alpen/Berge und die Stadt: entzückend bei Tag und Nacht. Spitzen Restaurant im obersten Stock. Inbegriffenes Frühstücksbuffet einiges besser als ähnliche Hotels in der Region. Lecco Stadtkern in 15min zu Fuss erreichbar.

Das Hotel hat uns wirklich überzeugt. Es ist gut zu finden, die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und haben einen tollen kleinen Balkon mit Blick auf den See. Lecco ist schnell zu Fuss zum Schlendern zu erreichen. Das Restaurant konnten wir auch testen und waren sehr begeistert. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

We stayed two nights with our two small children and the room was both comfortable and had plenty of room for the four of us. There was a nice terrasse with a beautiful view to the lake. The receptionist was very serviceminded, and among others recommended a local restaurant (kids friendly) with very good food and good prices - one we would never had found ourselves.

The hotel is located in Lecco which is not the nicest town of Lake Como but close enough to Bellagio or Como itself. Nevertheless, the hotel has balconies right on the lake and the view is astonishing. We had a room for 3 adults which was really big and comfortable (2 bathrooms). Breakfast buffet is good and staff friendly. This is a great value for money and would definitely recommend it.

Wij hadden een familiekamer voor 1 nacht geboekt en dit is uitstekend bevallen. Ruime kamer met een zeer ruim balkon. Alles was goed schoon en het ontbijt was uitgebreid en goed. De ligging aan het meer was leuk, Lecco ligt op loopafstand. Zeker een aanrader.

Hotel is zeer luxe en biedt een prachtig uitzicht op Lecco en het meer van Lecco. Alle kamers hebben een terras. Ontbijt zeer uitgebreid voor Italiaanse begrippen. Spreken goed Engels. Ingang aan drukke weg, maar ook parkeerplaats aan achterkant hotel die via rustigere weg te bereiken is. Lift aanwezig om vanuit auto-garage naar begane grond te komen. Hotel ligt namelijk op een berg. Begane grond is 4e verdieping. Kwamen redelijk op tijd kamer schoonmaken, zodat je soms op tijd uit je kamer moest.

Très bien. Chambre familiale spacieuse au design moderne, idéale pour couple avec 2 enfants. Grand balcon avec belle vue sur le lac. Petit déjeuner très bien.

Griso är ett fräscht och bra hotell med hög standard på rummen men det finns många bättre lägen runt Comosjön. Hotellet ligger vid en ganska stor väg och en bit ifrån någon stad med restauranger osv. Har man bil och använder Malgrate som bas så tar man sig till Bellagio på runt en halvtimme och därifrån går båtar vidare till andra städer. Hotellfrukosten var ok inte mer. Jag skulle rekommendera Bellagio, Menaggio, Varenna, eller Cadenabbia om man vill ha den mer rustika Comoupplevelsen. Det här hotellet är bra om man reser i affärssyfte.

Bel hôtel au calme, très propre, chambre spacieuse et vue superbe sur le lac. Belle variété pour le petit déjeuner. Le restaurant est très fréquenté en soirée, ce qui n'est pas un problème au niveau bruit mais est un peu embêtant au niveau parking... Un peu loin du centre de Lecco.
