The hotel was undergoing some cosmetic updates/construction, but the overall cleanliness was impeccable. The staff was so nice and friendly and made our stay comfortable and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again and again .... thank you!

This is your run of the mill HI Express, except they should let you know before you book that they are currently under renovation. There were hallways blocked off, wallpaper was peeled off the walls, etc.

We were shocked after we checked in to find that this hotel is in the process of a major renovation. Literally half the hotel was closed, and the hallways were blocked with plastic drop-cloths and washing machines. In the half of the hotel that was open, the hallways were in various states of having their wallpaper removed and being spackled, and the carpets were filthy. Although our room was comfortable and clean, the hallways were a wreck and it felt as if we were in a fleabag hotel that charges by the hour. Honestly, this hotel should be closed while this work is being performed. They should have completed work in the other half, then opened it and closed the 2nd half while they renovated. We were greatly disappointed with Hotels.com for renting us this room, and considering the condition of the hotel, the rate we paid was far too high. Extremely disappointed.

WE love to stay here when we go up to the Casino. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The shuttle to and from the Casino is the greatest. The staff is always smiling and happy to answer any questions or help in anyway possible.

Sheets could be less coarse, could use an operating pancake cooker. preferrable belgian waffle maker. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel, would stay again. Shuttle service back & forth to casino was great.

Room was in excellent condition - exceptionally clean. Staff was wonderful! The free breakfast was more than we expected & delicious! Wonderful stay - will book again for future getaways to Charles Town!

Enjoyed my stay. Awesome staff, super clean , very comfortable chairs in room. Just wish it wasn't a non-smoking facility.

was fine and pretty typical of Holiday Inn, but found mattress to be quite uncomfortable compared to other HI's I've stayed.

This hotel was very clean the staff very nice and i would stay here again ,breakfast was great

Excellent hotel. Very clean. Nice location

We had a great time at this location. Unfortunately, our car broke down when we arrived but the wonderful staff helped us find a mechanic that was open on Saturday. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out of a tight situation.

The stay was very nice.The surrounding area was a little dull but close to attractions.The hotel was very nice and clean.The staff was friendly and very helpful. We would stay here again.

Pleasant and competent staff, comfortable rooms and nice pool, decent breakfast and a reasonable price. We were very happy.

Holiday Inn Express was a nice alternative to staying on-site at the casino. The service was top class, the breakfast was very tasty, and you can't beat the proximity to the casino. Pricing will always be an issue, but when compared to the others, I'd rank it above all others. Look forward to going back.

I really enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn express because I was provided with a great deluxe breakfast and I was given the opportunity to catch the shuttle bus which runs 24/7 to local attractions within the area. Also the staff members were very helpful and friendly.

The room had an odor which made our stay a bit uncomfortable. It was likely because the vent fan in the bathroom didn't work and it created a mold smell in the room. We informed the staff about the problem but we were not offered any alternatives. Other than that everything was a typical hotel stay. Breakfast was good.

It's a Holiday Inn, you stay there because you usually get what you got at other Holiday Inns. If you liked your last stay, you'll be happy with this one.

It was excellent

I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others. The only thing I was disappointed in was the comfort level of the bed. It could have been a lot softer.

The Holiday Inn Express in Charles Town is in a great location for visiting the nearby casino and also historic Harpers Ferry. Room was comfortable and clean, and I always like the hot breakfast options available every morning. The only issue was that my door lock stopped working on my first night staying in the hotel and I could not get back in. Had to visit the Front Desk twice, but once maintenance was called the problem was quickly resolved (new batteries required). Ideally they would change this more often so this problem would not occur in the future.

this is our 3 stay at the Holiday Inn Express and we have enjoyed each visit. Temperature was great in the rooms, breakfast was extremely tasty. rooms were always clean. overall stay was very pleasant. Will go back again when I need to stay over night.

very friendly people and room was very nice, huge, would love to stay here again.

The surrounding hotels were a bit pricey, this hotel was a good deal for the price. I liked that they had a shuttle bus to transport you to and from the casino.

booked this room online was a little rattled by the reveiws.fling in and got delayed at the airport so called hotel and was told that room would be ready no matter what time i got there.got there around midnight and the same lady i talked to on the phone was still there and she was true to her word room was ready.room was clean and nice !! got up in the morning and went to check out the free breakfast and was inpressed food was very good and a lot of it .would stay here again and again

Great place to stay if hitting the track. Shuttle Bus service makes life easy. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Good breakfast served until 11 AM. We will be back

Wonderful 2nd experience with this hotel.Front desk staff very friendly and helpful,room was roomy and clean and odor free.Even room temp was perfect and not dry and stuffy like some.We will be back over and over again:)

I love staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Charlestown! I have never been disappointed.

Me and my wife stayed at Holiday Inn Express Charles Town for 1 night. Very comfortable place, fast and reliable WiFi and hot breakfast. My wife is kind of picky of about American hotels, but even she said she liked the place.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in and out were fast and no hassle. We enjoyed our short stay here and will stay agin. The only minor issue was the VERY firm bed, but thats a personal preferance. Good Job!

Nice spacious room, good WiFi. My sole problem was that they locked out the TV so that you can't use it for your laptop's display. With no entertainment package other than local cable, this limits your options.
