I stopped at this hotel for 1 night because it was close to the airport. It was clean and basic but very pleasant no complaints

The hotel has a nightclub inside, which is loud and the hotel is very busy on Saturday night. Overall maintenance of the hotel is lacking, and in some areas appears as though less than acceptable cosmetic repairs made to hide real problems. The room was average, again cosmetic issues (walls, bath tub, etc.) The bed was very comfortable, and appeared to be clean.

First room assigned smelled and carpet dirty. Didn't feel safe with room on exterior of hotel. They switched us to an interior suite and it was a drastic difference, very nice, clean carpet and bed linens clean, but things went down hill from there. We stayed 4 nights and our key only worked for one night. We had to get the hotel staff to let us in our room each night with a promise that it would be fixed the next day, but it never was. Someone showed up on our last night (around 10:00pm) to try to fix it, a little too late! Our room was only cleaned once, no fresh towels, no coffee, no cups. We had to remind hotel staff to bring those items. They were very upset that our room had not been cleaned but nothing done about it. The hotel staff was friendly but our stay was not a pleasant experience and we will not be staying in a Howard Johnson again!

Like many Florida hotels that offer decent rates, there were a few minor issues with maintenance or upkeep- nothing that would interfere with booking this one again. The breakfast is great. Food is plentiful, hot and tasty. Breakfast is included in the rate. The pool was refreshing, but could use a heater. BY FAR- the best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are WONDERFUL. Every person we came in contact with was helpful, and kind. I felt safe and was very satisfied with our stay.

My room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfast was good. The hotel the staff was extremely polite and helpful. I would stay there again.

I was very pleased with my stay at this Howard Johnsons. My room was very large and clean. The pool area is excellent with a wonderful waterfall. The breakfast was decent--you will need to add at least pepper to the eggs. The fruit was canned but still good to have. The staff was responsive and very courteous. the hotel is close to Disney and very accessible to to I-4. I was very happy with my decision to stay at this hotel.

The complimentary breakfast was. much better than expected. It was great. The free wifi was also excellent.

The hotel was very clean and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The decor of the hotel is in need of an update, but I generally don't care about decor. As long as my room is clean I'm happy. Mattresses could use an update, but overall pretty good hotel for the price.

The free breakfast was a plus for sure; good location...rooms are a little worn but work.

First and last time at a HoJo! Our criteria for a great hotel is simple: a clean, comfortable, safe, and quite place to sleep. This hotel was 'none of the above'. We stayed at the property the night before our family trip to Universal Orlando. The hotel has a night club on the property...and the bass from the club can be felt all over the property (including in our room...with the door & windows closed...and fan running...). We finally called down to the front desk at 12:00am to ask them to have the club turn down the bass as we could not sleep with the booming bass...but they did nothing. The club finally shut down at 2am...and we spent the next hour listening to the drunk club goers run, yell, and slam doors throughout the property. We finally got the kids to sleep around 3am...just in time for about five hours of sleep before the big day at Universal. I (very politely) informed the manager on duty the next day that our stay was quite honestly horrible and her response was an unapologetic 'the club is supposed to keep the music under a certain decibel level. I'll let them know'. No apologies, no attempt to make things right. Do not book!

Stayed 2 nights no complaints had to book second night at 11p.m. No issues.

The wrose hotel ever

Our stay was only one night but it was awesome. Thank you.

This was a nice hotel to stay at. The room was clean. Beds clean comfortable. The location of the hotel is OK. The Mall, Restaurants and Grocery Stores are all close by. Had a GREAT time in the area.

The room was nice and clean, but even though we requested a king bed and sofa sleeper, there were no extra blankets, pillows, or linens, for the sofa sleeper. After calling the front desk, sheets were delivered to us but we were told that they were totally full and were completely out of pillows, blankets, etc. The included breakfast was very good though.

Nice hotel for the price. Rooms were clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Only stayed one night, but I would definitely stay there again.

We booked this hotel for a weekend to attend a wedding. I did ample research on Hotels.com prior to booking and most of the reviews were satisfactory. Upon arrival, front desk was less than concerned about the waiting people to check in. Once we obtained our key, it took 15 minutes just to find our room (a lot of the rooms were out of service and had their numbers ripped off). We found our room, an inspection revealed boogers all over the walls and curtains! Not an exaggeration. Night stand had a Magnum condom in it, unopened, but gross. After complaining about it, the guy came up and didn't even clean the drawer out. Considering the club on the main level, doesn't surprise me. The bathroom and shower is TINY. I am 5'7", 145 lbs and had to shower SIDEWAYS! Water pressure was zilch and the shower stall looked like a scene from American pysco. Bed was comfy at least, but did not make up for the dirtyness of our room! That same night, a highschool band stayed beside and above us (the drummer woke us up playing at 5:30AM). Bring your own towels! The only updated thing was the bathroom vanity! Another thing, if you have to get up an use the restroom in the middle of the night, make sure your hotel mates are wearing eye masks because the bright vanity light turns on when turning the bathroom light on! It was just....a terrible experience. I will never again stay at a HO-Jo, and I especially don't recommend this location to anyone unless you are there for a one night stand.

I was impressed with the friendliness of the front desk staff, both in the evening when I arrived and then in the morning when I checked out. Also noticed immediately how clean my room was, though the bath tub floor was cracked, which caused my 4 year old to have to take a shower instead of a bath. :-( The room was comfortable, beds were comfortable, and best of all, this hotel was far cheaper than staying in Lake Mary, which was where I needed to be. It was only about 10 minutes away.

When we attempted to check in, the clerk was less than friendly. We stood there with no explanation from her for at least 10 minutes while she tried to reach someone on a walkie talkie to figure out if they had any clean rooms available. A full 15 minutes after walking up to the counter, we were given room keys. The hotel is really a motel, no interior corridors, very dirty although the pool looked surprisingly nice in comparison. The room was dirty and the shower was torn up. The bed had a dent in the middle from being too old, it was terribly uncomfortable. The maids came into our room BOTH MORNINGS even after they knocked and we yelled NO THANK YOU repeatedly. We stay in hotels about 20 times per year and this was by far the worst experience ever. I could have paid the same money and stayed in a cleaner, newer place across the street but we chose HOJO because we thought it would guarantee us a nice result. Boy, were we wrong....only positive is that it was very close to I-4 ramp and shopping/restaurants.

The outside of the HOJO was not very clean. The room was adequately cleaned, bathroom could be cleaner. Free breakfast buffet was not very good. The best things were the price and the bed, very comfortable. Good value for the money in that area.

Hotel is old and desparate need of updating. Low water pressure. TV was very old. A/c was rattling loud all night. Room did not smell great. Bathroom sink drained slow. I would spend more next time for a better hotel, but that's just me. I just didn't feel it was the cleanest place....

Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Bathroom on floor above us leaked into our room in both bed area and bathroom area. Maintenance arrived quickly and gave us another room. The 2nd room was nicer than 1st room as it had a DND door hanger. Hotel could not supply additional pillow, not even from the 1st room that can not be occupied until upstairs bathroom fixtures can be repaired.

Very helpful staff however not a big fan of mold in the cocking in the bathroom

It was adequate for the few nights that i stayed, the staff were friendly, but i have to say, it does need some updating! My hair drier did not work, and the rest of the hotel was grungy! Food for breakfast so bad i couldn't eat anything other that a glass of juice, sorry to say. The worst was that i needed to get to sleep as i had to be up early and had no idea there was a night club at the hotel! Trying to sleep with ,Boom Boom Boom….. until 2am was fun! I don't think the pictures are a true reflection of the state of the hotel……dirty!!

There were several problems with the room / hotel. The TV didn't work. The closet door was broken. The toilet ran continuously. I reported all three and at the end of my 4 night stay, only the TV had been fixed. I had to get my key card rescanned twice and my wife's once. The problem at leat one of those times was that the staff didn't put the correct end date on it. The carpet on the outside had not been vacuumed in quite a while. A glass was left on the outside carpet and sat there for 4 days. When I brought these issues up, the desk clerk offered to give me a free night's stay which I wasn't expecting but accepted. Unfortunately, when I checked out, that had been reduced to a half of a night free without telling me. I asked that desk clerk to have the clerk that made the offer to call me and I never heard from him. The hotel is older and is not being kept up. Obviously, I will not be returning.

tv not plugged in. no batteries in remote. blackout curtain did not work, only had flimsy thin curtain to pull for nighttime privacy and safety. hotel check in staff was doing the world a favor by being there.would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel room had leak at base of commode.

Staff was nasty ... Not helpful . Rooms were cheap looking and not very clean ... Took two days to come clean the room . Had Ana from an alarm company banging on my door early in tne morning to check tne smoke alarms... I always loved Howard Johnson. I guess this was a bad exception

not good they send us in a room with someone in it . they were very mad at us for waking them.stuck in room door locker didnt work.

Room smelt smokey. Drawers were broke. rug was dirty and stained. Furniture was old and ripped.. Cupboard door was broke. Supposed to see pool from window but all we seen was garbage overflow on ground. Walkway to room had cig butts.Homeless man sitting on floor in lobby. Front desk person was no help. Beverage manager assisted us in new room. Would not stay there again.

We were very disappointed with this Hotel. First, the lock on the room door was broken. Since the room was an outside entrance, it was very concerning that the door lock was broken. Second, the hotel advertised a restaurant but they decided to close it for the evening and everyone needed to eat in the Lounge. The problem with that was they brought in a comedian that was innappropriate for children to attend. Last but not least, they advertised a shuttle that would take you within a 5 mile radius. We asked to utilize this since the restaurant was closed and were told by two people they didn't have a shuttle and then by a third person that the shuttle was rented out to a paying customer. Needless to say, we will never stay there again!
