Thay say first impression count and boy did the Holiday inn do bad on this. We had paid in full via Hotel.com - had confirmation and everything wilth, But Holiday Inn insisted that they needed paying. Eventually after us ranting, they found the payment.They then added a £5 charge for parking, which we paid. Next morning on check out - they wanted to charge us again! nightmare. Will not stay there again.

Very friendly staff, nice room, close to a good night out. Negative price for breakfast 13.50£, that is a joke.......

Would stay again.

hotel is very nice and great value for money but had to get alto of taxis as it would be a long walk to city and old trafford. would go back tho.

I was unable to understand why a hotel had been located in this particular area of Salford: the area had no charm, no quaint pubs or restaurants nearby. The staff were competant and friendly but I would not choose to stay here again.

This hotel was perfect for what we wanted. We went to see Bon Jovi at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground. It was a half an hour walk away and a close drive to the Trafford Center the next day. The hotel was comfortable and clean just what we needed instead of a drive home after the concert.

Nice and friendly staff, eager to help. Comfy bed in a nice room. 12 oclock check out is great when u want a lie in.

After a fairly poor experience with check-in and an unsatisfactory room, we contacted hotels.com to see if they could help. Thanks to hotels.com who called the hotel to discuss our issues directly with the front desk attendant, we ended up in a comfy room and the staff gave us free breakfast to apologize for the problems. Thank you hotels.com!! The hotel was a standard Holiday Inn located in a heavily industrial area of Manchester. In the morning, the operations at a nearby recycling yard started at 6 AM. On the bright side, rooms were extremely clean and the breakfast was hot and fresh.

good location for what we needed, room was nice apart from bathroom could do with a good clean! tried charging us twice for room, paid cash for car parking and bar drinks when checking out then to find out a week later they had also taken money from credit card for same amount!!! Apart from that it was fine!

Very helpful staff and nice quite location and convenient for the stay in manchester

Key points; Welcoming staff. Clean rooms. Spacious rooms. Very good quality restaurant food.

Hotel in a good location. Disappointed with 2 things only. Firstly having to pay for parking in the hotel carpark, I understanding paying when they do not own the car park but when it is their's it should be included. Secondly having to pay for wireless surprising in a holiday Inn. Hotel itself is clean and the staff friendly however it did just seem like they were trying to get extra money for little extra's that I would expect to be included.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was lovely and clean. We had an executive room, very spacious and comfortable. Parking was not a problem. Would definitely recomment and go back again

Went online and looked for a hotel near to Old Trafford. I found this one that was 1.4 miles away and that was fine. Reviews were okay and the rate was very reasonable. When we booked in the staff were friendly and helpful. We got to our room immediately even though we were early. The room itself was small but absolutely fine, big comfortable bed, TV, clean bathroom etc. We had food and a drink in the bar, service was a bit slow but that was okay. The restaurant didn't open until six. We got directions to Old Trafford and were told it was about 15 minutes away but it was actually 40 minutes walk. We didn't get the breakfast in the hotel as I read in a previous review that there is a much nicer breakfast in a cafe directly accross the road and I agree, really enjoyable. The surrounding area is not great but just around the corner is a shopping centre with a Dunnes, Sainsburys, Sports Direct, shoe shops and more shops. We bought loads! All in all, very happy with the hotel and its staff and would definitely recommend it. When we are going back to Manchester I would definitely book it again.

Holiday in express Liverpool street is good location for weekend at football, cheap taxi into town and an easy route to Trafford centre.

We travelled down from Scotland to see Muse at Old Trafford Cricket ground. This hotel was located not too far from the gig (we walked back). The rooms were clean. There was little noise outside & the bar staff were great crack on the Saturday night! The only negatives are the bar prices & the bar was the lobby area. When we asked for a pizza delivery number we were met by a disapproving" tut" from the girl on reception....if the restaurant menu had been more inviting then we wouldn't have required pizza!

First thing i would like to say is that the staff were very helpful and very polite. The room was brilliant, and was what i ordered. Would come back if I'm come back to Manchester.

The staff were extremely pleasent and helpful. The hotel itself was lovely and the room was perfect. The only fault was the quality of food. The breakfast was OK but the dinner was shocking bad. My son ordered a Burger which was not eatable at all, the bun was rock hard. The reason for the trip was to visit Old Trafford. The hotel is only 10-15 mins away which cost about £8 in a taxi and was only 15-20 mins away from Aiport which cost £20 by taxi. Overall I did find my stay very comfortable and relaxing, I would only recommend eat out

After I'd book ed this hotel, I read some savage reviews about it, THESE ARE REALLY UNFAIR. so heres what its really like. Easy to find. It's not in the best of places, but it's certainly not rough. I walked back alone at 11pm and never once got nervous. The service was great, checked in quick etc and all the staff are really friendly. The room was clean, comfy and apart from a small tv with 4 channels (which doesn't really matter) there was nothing wrong whatsoever. Theres a nice little bar and they seemed happy to keep it open a little later for everyone. I was expecting something quite bad after some of the reviews I read on another site, but this place is great. Will definately go back there next time I up to see United.

Helt ok budgetval. Dock var frukosten väldigt dyr och den var inte prisvärd. Det fanns dock en sandwichbar tvärs över vägen med bra priser.

Miinuspuoli oli kulkuyhteydet sinänsä, koska julkisilla kulkeminen keskustaan ei ollut vaihtoehto. Taksi ei tosin ollut kovin kallis, ja keskustaan oli melko lyhyt matka, jonka käveli n. 15 minuutissa.

Litt avstand fra sentrum. Vi brukte taxi til og fra sentrum og old Trafford. Ca 6-8 pund. Lytt mellom rommene!

Jättefint (budget) hotell i manchester. Det ligger mitt i mellan absoluta centrum och Old Trafford. Bussen går 5 minuter från Hotellet och tar 10 min till city. Vill man promenera till city tar det 40 minuter. Vill man promenera till Old Trafford tar det 35 minuter (INTE 15 minuter som de på hotellet sa..). Läget är väldigt trist i ett halvruffigt område. Bra dock att ett mindre köpcenter ligger 250 meter från hotellet med stor mataffär och annat. Service var mycket bra med allt från tips på sevärdigheter till vänlig personal. Rummet var jättefräscht men verkligen ingen lyx. Rent, bekvämt och billigt. Kan man hitta ett hotell lika billigt fast närmare centrum så ta det. Annars ta detta. Och taxi från centrum kostar 7-9 pund och tar 5-10 minuter. Taxi till flygplatsen kostar 20 pund vilket det är värt!

Hotellet var fint og masse god mat. Passer veldig godt til fotballturer, vises kamper i hotellbaren dagen lang. Varierende personale. Noen litt mindre hjelpsom enn andre. Reisende fra Norge, ta med adapter!! Dette lånes ikke ut på hotellet. Billig taxi til og fra hotellet. Ikke spesielt aktuelt å gå da omgivelsene rundt hotellet ikke er spesielle. Internett koster 5 pund pr. time, fås kjøpt i resepsjon. Burde vært inkl. i prisen, altså usikret nettverk. Alt i alt fornøyd, anbefales. T-kast 4.

Selve hotellet får toppkarakter fra meg, men servicen var ikke helt topp. Alt i alt var det en positiv opplevelse. Men en ting jeg ikke visste da jeg bestilte, var hvor avsides hotellet ligger - ingen taxisjåfører visste hvor det lå, og man kunne ikke gå noe sted til fots.

Bra hotell og god service.
