Nicely re-furbished hotel, good-sized room, but....NEVER take a room on the lower ground floor! It turned out to be beneath the kitchens/breakfast area, and was very noisy from about 5.00 a.m. onwards. The hotel didn't seem that busy at all, so I don't understand why I was allocated this room. Otherwise, everything was fine. To summarise, I'd definitely go again, but only if a room on the upper floors was available.

This is a nice hotel, and the location is indeed excellent (Russel Square tube station is nearby, so is Russel Square itself, British Museum, British Library, bus stops, etc.). The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom clean and well-maintained. The cupboard was stocked with good tea. Good quality of the internet connection, too. CONS: we experienced some minor problems with bathroom hardware, the room is small (but this is standard for London), the rate was high as compared to the rates in comparable US hotels (again, this is a general problem of London), hot water was not so hot (I guess, this is also common in the UK, not a specific hotel's problem) Decision to give the overall rating (4), not (5) is based primarily on the rate, not on the quality of room or service or location

Just south of Russell Square, and very close to the British Museum. The proximity of the university and college are a plus. Our room was small, but clean. Some thoughtful improvements have been taken to maximize the space, such as recessing the HDTV into the wall, and selecting a "thinner" desk. Those touches made the room feel bigger than it was. Unpleasant surprise: The floor joists of the room above ours needed work! We could hear every step of the person(s) in the room..."Cr-e-e--e-k!" Plenty of nice places to eat, drink, and snack in the area.

This hotel was very nice, convenient to museums and tube stations. It was on a quiet street, without much traffic noise or congestion, safe at night. Excellent staff- helpful and willing to go the extra mile in making recommendations for retsaurants, etc. The room was large and comfortable, but in the semi-basement level, which was sort of dreary and accessed by 'hobbit' stairs. (The staff offered to switch our room after one night, but we opted to remain in the basement room, as we were settled in.) Ask for a room that is not in the basement and you will be all set. Good continental breakfast.

The Beauchamp is a nice hotel, but we actually didn't stay here. There was a booking mix-up (on their side) that caused the staff to move us to one of Grange's other hotels in the area. The staff were very apologetic; they upgraded our room -- quite substantially, to a suite -- and even shuttled our bags to the Holborn hotel. Couldn't really ask for more than that! It's a shame we didn't have more time to explore the premises, but everything appeared to be in good order.

Nice and clean, very small room but had everything we needed but a tall couple might struggle with the bed size, they probably have larger rooms for larger people. The rooms are air-conditioned so you can keep the windows closed which limits the traffic noise somewhat. Other than that the hotel was nice and quiet and the location is great only 4 minutes walk to Russel Square tube station which is on the Picadilly line which is also great. Disappointed with the internet usage costs and the other services such as breakfast and laundry which were very expensive so we didn't use them. I will definitely go there again if I'm ever in London.

My sister and I had a really nice stay at the Beauchamp. The room was quiet, spacious and the beds comfortable. We decided not to have breakfast there as it was a bit expensive and there are plenty of nice cafe close by. The location was ideal and we walked everywhere.

Finding a good hotel for a fair price in London can be a HUGE challenge. We found a deal on the Beauchamp, and were thrilled with the results. The hotel is near the Russel Square tube stop (just off the actual Russel Square. If you are unfamiliar with the area, Russel Square is servicable, with a great location. It isn't full of great restaurants, and a bit too touristy for my tastes. However, the hotel is on a quiet street, far from the larger hotels full of tour groups. We preferred to come and go from the Holburn stop, which was about 5-10 minutes by foot. If you choose this route, you'll find the neighborhood is much nicer! The hotel room itself was average sized by London standards (small by US standards). However, it was nicely appointed with flat screen TV wall mounted, a desk (no wireless, but a wired connection for your laptop), and a nice sized closet. The bathroom was nice, though it looks like only half the rooms have a window in the bathroom (ours did). The bathroom toilettries were nice, fixtures clean and modern. Water pressure was great. If you are visiting London in the summer, rest assured - the airconditioning is strong and works great! Honestly, we have nothing bad to say about the hotel. The lobby was nice, not a lot of common areas to lounge around in - but - 5 minutes away you can tuck into a cup of coffee in a great shop. Just take our advice - head towards Covent Garden - not Russel Square!

Trevligt hotell med små men fina och fräscha rum!

Acceuil chaleureux , service de chambre rapide seuls point négatifs : travaux en face de notre chambre dans la rue , et personne pour nous guider a notre chambre...

Trés bon séjour, hotel parfait proche de tout, 2 chambres une trés grande l'autre un peu petite mais confort OK, A recommander

Resespsjonisten var veldig høflig og hjelpsom. Fint med tilgang til pc i resepsjonen. Jeg hadde ikke frokost, men spisesalen virket innbydende. Hotellrommet var lite, men fint, og badet var fliselagt og virket nyoppusset. 5 min. gange fra Russel Square undergrunn, og 8 min til Holborn.

Hotellet levede op til vores forventninger om et hyggeligt hotel i et roligt og charmerende kvarter. Værelserne er små men der er hvad der skal være. Rengøringen og servicen var fin. Vi havde udsigt til haven fra 2. sal hvilket kan anbefales pga udsigten, men de fleste værelser har udsigt til gaden, der dog er stille og rolig med sparsom trafik. Ideelt hvis man ønsker et bo tæt på centrum, uden for meget støj. Morgenmaden er lidt dyr så det kan anbefales at spise morgenmad på en af de nærliggende caféer.

Meget lille værelse, Ingen varme på badeværelse, støjende aircondition og varmeanlæg. Dyr morgenbuffet spis for det halve på nærliggende cafe. Men ellers god beliggenhed og dejligt, delikat hotel og relativ roligt. Lever ikke helt op til 4 stjerner.

Si vous obtenez un prix raisonnable, allez-y. Sinon, optez pour une chambre plus spacieuse dans un Ibis! Hôtel +/- propre (nettoyage OK mais état général de l'hôtel en dessous d'un 4 étoiles moderne), endroit plus que décent mais pas luxieux (une espèce de faux chic), localisation intéressante pour visiter Londres à pied. Petit déjeuner à prix exhorbitant. Petites chambres; c'est la principale caractéristique, chambre à peine plus garde que le lit et salle de bain 2m x 1m. Air conditionné qui souffle fort tout le temps (c'est un réel problème pour une chambre minuscule); si on l'éteind (ça prend 2 h avant d'arrêter de souffler), on se lève avec une température de 30° (vu la petite chambre, encorer une fois). Fenêtres simple vitrage, donc bruit (principalement venant du bloc principal d'aération à l'arrière; rue à l'avant). L'hotêl fait partie d'une "chaîne" qui possède plusieurs maisons côte à côte sur la même rue (hôtels différents).

1.værelse lå på 3 etage i mod gaden - MEGET larm fra trafikken. sengen var kun 1.75 lang....det er FOR kort... 2.værelse lå imod haven, alt var usandsynligt lydt. værelserne er meget små. IKKE 4 stjerne værd. men en fin 3'er
