I stay at the The Liner because it is good value, is near the train station and where I need to be, has free reliable wifi, the staff are efficient and friendly and the breakfast is good

very enjoyable stay and comfortable close to all amenities

We really enjoyed the stay in the Liner,Its a great theme idea.The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about Liverpool.The night attendant was a really nice guy and funny with his little quips.We were a bit disappointed with the bar,great staff but should stick with the liner theme and be like a cruise liner bar.Right by Lime Street Station and right in the city centre what more could you ask for from a hotel.We asked for a late checkout and we were given until three PM for which we were only charged a few pounds extra. this allowed us to sleep off the great night we had in Liverpool.Brilliant.

Lovely hotel and nicely situated, our room was on the 6th floor, no660 and we had a pounding noise right above our room,think it was the heating system so had to change rooms and was moved to the 5th floor where we had to endure the sound of trains. The breakfast was first class as was the staff. On arriving home realised i'd left my Golf Jumper and Polo Shirt,contacted Hotel and after a few phone calls,house keeping tracked my Jumper down but not my Polo shirt which i was dissappointed with. After paying the postage i'm glad to say i have received my Jumper,because of what happened i don't think i will be back,

My wife and i stayed for three nights our room was very clean and comfortable.We had a problem with noise from the water heater which was no problem to the staff we asked if we could be moved to another room and in 5 minutes we where put into another room. Plus i had a request to ask them after telling them they could not have been more helpful in dealing with my request.The breakfast staff where very helpfull to for providing a great breakfast. My wife and i would like to say a very big thank you too all the staff for a great stay and we will return back to this hotel.

Situated right next to the railway station meant is was great for anyone arriving by train. Shopping centre is 5 minutes walk and Albert Dock about 15 minutes walk Definitely worth staying - breakfast is top class too

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Liner Fri 10th-12th Feb. I found the hotel to be in an excellent location, very clean and very friendly staff. Lime Street Station is literally a five min walk and the city centre a ten min walk. The breakfast was nice but quite crowded. We had dinner in the bar area and found it rasonable priced and very tasty. My only complaint was that I found our room to be quite cold but there was spare blankets in the cupboard so not a major issue. Apart from that I have nothing bad to say about the hotel at all and would definely recommend it to my friends.

For the price we paid for this room it was fantastic value and included free parking. Walkable to Liverpool 1 and the university. No complaints

We were very happy with everything about this hotel, it is in a very good location for the city centre. All the staff were polite and we would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Liverpool

Excellent location for Empire Theatre. On site bistro very good. ideal for pre theatre dining. Walking distance for many of Liverpool's attractions.

Me an my partner stayed here end of Jan 2012, as we had theatre tickets. Couldn't have been closer to the theatre, and was really easy to find and parking was free if you are a resident - fairly big car parking space with barrier - u just collect a tocken from reception when u want to leave the car park. The best part about are stay was the food, the brasserie restaurant downstairs is nice an the breakfast was inc in our price an was buffet - lovely food, lovely coffee an fresh OJ! Would definitely return!

Second time I have stayed here! On both occasions we have had a great weekend. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, outside noise minimal and the breakfast is great! The hotel bar is a pleasant place to unwind after your day in Liverpool. Ideal hotel especially for the Empire theatre!

The Liner Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The restraunt food was great and they provide 24 hour room service. It is a comfortable walk to many of the sights and shopping. we would definately stay here again.

The title says it all... If you want something close to the station, or if you want free parking this is the hotel for you. I drove and made use of the free parking (space permitting) which was a bonus for a city centre hotel. I was surprised at the good standard of the rooms and the breakfast. Its not a cheap place to stay, but it definitely represents good value. Nice looking receptionist a bonus!

The hotel is close to the railway and city center, wich is positiv. But the beds we sleept in was no good at all. We also got a phonecall at 08:40!!! the first morning from the reception were they wondered if we wanted to have our room cleaned during the day. The tv did not work for 2 of the 3 days we were staying there.

Hotel is well situated for City centre and close to main railway at Lime street.Hotel was very clean,great breakfast and free car park was a bonus.

From arriving in the Liner on a return visit, I found the staff to be professional and and extremely helpful. This hotel is located beside Lime Street train station and just a few minutes walk from all main shopping areas. I will be staying again when returning to Liverpool

We have stayed at the Liner before, and it is a reasonably priced hotel very close to Lime Street station. The staff are pleasant and the breakfasts are excellent.

This hotel was convenient for me due to a function I was attending but the walls were paper thin and the room felt pokey. Nice bathroom but the rest felt a bit old.

Clean and comfortable, ideally placed right next to Lime Street station and a short cab ride to all of the major attractions. Good value for money and a secure free car park available to residents. Hotel bar more than adequate too.

Location just great friendly staff and meal in restaurant could not be faulted would recommend this hotel as one of best in Liverpool

Excellent location behind Lime Street Rail Station. our room was on 6th floor overlooking the train lines but no problem with noise probably down to excellent double glazing. Room very comfortable and excellent bath and shower facilities Inc ample supply of towels. Private taxi ordered by hotel (raining) to take us to Waterfront to visit new Museum of Liverpool only cost £3.50.

Free car parking save you lots! a lovely hotel, just a 10 min. stroll into town. Very close to the train station, but you don't hear any noise from that.A good all round hotel for sightseers of liverpool. Liverpool is a brilliant place for a weekend away, visit Albert Docks and sample the nightlife!!

The liner was a great location and the staff was friendly and very helpful. We had a car so parking was important to us. They had a lot next door at no charge. The only problem was there was no air conditioning and it was very warm in the room. It was very convenient as far as the must see sights and if you wanted to shop. Huge mall just a few blocks away.

Stay here very good, except room had string odour of cigarette smoke.

Booked a group of 20 males in to 10 twin rooms and when arrived we got only 1 twin room and the rest double beds.this was very uncomfortable for many of us as we had not all meet before and when asked the hotel had no interest in solving this prob or evening listening to us:(

The hotel is just a 2-min walk from the train station and a 10-min walk from the fun downtown area. The staff was very friendly and the room was fine. The included breakfast was good. If staying there note that there is no air conditioning and be sure to ask for a room NOT facing the train station as it got a little loud. Also, some rooms are smoking

This hotel is in a perfect location, right next to Liverpool Lime Street Station and in the center of Liverpool. It's very clean, has friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast buffet with something for everyone. Don't worry if you arrive before check in time and/or want to stay in Liverpool later than the check out time...there is a 'concierge' that will hold your luggage for you. We have stayed in this hotel twice and will definately be staying here again in the future. Highly recommended.

The location is close to Lime Street Train Station and only a few minutes walk to the city centre. The great large room. We will stay again in this hotel. But when we check-out, the reception charged us extra for dinner, but we didn't order any meals in the hotel, but BE CAUTION, your signature may be fraud by someone else to using the room services like order meals or others !!!

Quite pricey for what it is : dated rooms, Ibis style. You could be better going to cheaper national hotelchains... or pay just a little bit more to go to some proper boutique hotels (hope street being one of them)

Friendly facilitating staff. Most helpful. We had 8 rooms, no complaints and all were very satisfied. Will stay again

A fine hotel on a quiet(ish) side street, yet both easy to find and very convienient to downtown (about 150 feet from main train station). Free parking a huge plus in Britain. The staff and the room were significantly above average.

This hotel is good for those without cars. For those with cars, we had been told Liverpool can be a nightmare and it was. The one way system is one of the worst in England. When we finally found the hotel, we were told the car park was full (3pm on Sat) because the hotel seemingly don't make enough money from their over-priced rooms, and sell off their car parks to the public during the day. We were told that we would just have to wait till a car left. We could physically see there were parks free, and there was a service lane that the staff could have opened to help us. They were professional, but assertive and not at all understanding of our situation. This ruined our day as we had to spend 2/3 hours driving around again, in an awful town centre for driving, till the Saturday shoppers left. Arriving with serious jetlag, this was easily the most unpleasant experience of an otherwise amazing trip. This appalling experience aside, the hotel was very nice, location great, and breakfast service was top class. But we expected so much more on the parking front, especially as we had emailed them 3 times from overseas without reply prior to arrival to establish that a car park could be guaranteed. If you're driving into town, there are far cheaper options than this, with more considerate staff. If you're on foot and want somewhere nice, this is a good option.

Desde luego es una verdadera barbaridad que en este hotel te pidan la tarjeta de credito y no solo como seguridad si no que te hacen un cargo del mismo importe del coste de tu estancia + comision de cambio y te retienen esa fianza hasta una semana despues de haberte marchado del hotelito, en fin personalmente para mi esta actitud estropea la estancia en este hotel.

Hotellet lå meget nær Liverpool Lime Street station og 02-arena hvor vi skulle på konsert. Bra frokost. Hotellet advarte om å bruke minibaren som kjøleskap. Det likte jeg ikke.
