Dana Hotel and Spa - شيكاغو

Loved the room decor (modern, a little industrial), and the fact that it had a balcony with a great city view. We had a "comfort king" room, which was smaller, but well designed and laid out so that we had plenty of room. It was nice to be able to use the mini bar fridge for a few of your owns items. Nice extras such as robes, slippers and spa toiletries. Hotel staff all friendly, but bell staff are especially helpful. Great location for shopping around Michigan Ave, and easy walk to Red Line to catch a Cubs game.

We loved staying in this hotel. The floor to ceiling windows around our corner king sized room were amazing, so you get cool views of the traffic below. The room was meticulously cleaned everyday and the bed was very comfortable. Overall we were really impressed and would definitely stay again.

I managed to get an excellent rate at the Dana for an extended business weekend, and I must say, this is a top notch establishment! Their staff was the epitome of professionalism, going out of their way to serve their guests. The Vertigo nightclub was incredibly slick, on par with many of the city's established sites. My only regret was not being fit a meal at Aja into my stay. My only critique is that the spacious, king-size mattress was a little too soft.

Hotel was great and the room was extremely comfortable and well appointed. Unfortunately on our arrival, there was drilling work on the ground floor and no doorman, which did confuse us as check in is actually on the first floor. From a previous review I knew to ask if we could have a room not directly opposite the elevators which the lady on arrival very kindly switched for us. Fantastic location for Magnificent Mile and all the central tourist spots. If you're able bodied, you can walk to most of these places. Will be going back.

The Dana is a beautiful hotel. We loved the room and bar area. The entire stay was perfect until we attempted to go to sleep. I am not sure if they tried to save money on insulation, but the hotel is soooo loud. We could hear every little movement in the hotel, from extremely loud guests, to the elevator to every person walking up and down the hall. I think we got about 3hrs of sleep due to the extreme noise. This is extremely unfortunate since we really loved the atmosphere of the hotel and the staff, however I don't see us staying here again.

Couldn't of asked for anything more. Great location, concierge was very helpful. On subway line, walking distance to many attractions. Bed was very comfortable. Great view. Only negative - loud neighbors! Could hear music pounding at 4am but called the lobby and they settled it quickly. Another negative - no drawers for clothes. Would recommend this hotel to others for sure!!

Very nice hotel in a great location. Rooms are small but everything is modern and quite comfortable. All the details often forgotten are included - outlet near the bed, towel hangers in bathroom, free internet, refrigerator you can fit your own stuff in, nice coffee machine, etc. Get a corner room for a small balcony.

The hotel itself is great - perfect location, great rooms, we even had a balcony. However, since we're from out of town we had no idea the bar on the roof is such a late night hotspot. There were drunk loud people wandering around our floor, the lobby, and lined up outside the hotel until 3am. On one night we basically didn't sleep at all because drunk people were yelling right outside our door all night. The hotel does have a nice spa (that we didn't end up using), but the name is misleading if you're looking for a low key place to get a good night's sleep. The entire ground floor was also under construction, but that didn't matter as much to us.

Very modern styling and the bed was AWESOME!. Our view left something to be desired, but the idea of a small balcony was cool. The noise from the road was quite loud even on the 7th floor. Ultimately we loved it and it's in the heart of downtown.

Really enjoyed our stay at Dana Hotel. The room(comfy king) was a tad small for two people but the room was very nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Dana. The hotel was beautiful and had a spa atmosphere. The only issue we had was that it was a little noisy...we were on the 10th floor and could still hear the traffic!

My boyfriend and I planned a last minute weekend getaway, and The Dana Hotel could not have been a better choice. The hotel staff was amazing, we both loved the rain shower, and the overall eccentric vibe of the hotel added an extra bonus. I would recommend upgrading to the corner king as it offers a gorgeous panoramic view of the city. We definitely will be returning to Dana!!

My wife and I wanted to get away for the weekend and Chicago is one of our favorite cities. We had never stayed at this hotel and we love staying in nice boutique hotels. one thing we enjoyed is the nice bed/bedding in this hotel along with the modern bathroom and all it's furnishings! The view was amazing in the 21st floor. Small dislikes were on arrival we were greeted warmly with concierge however the hostess at front desk wasn't in a good mood and that was a negative..also the hotel Resturant was under construction..remote to tv was broken..lamp shades in room were stained and dirty..overall the hotel was nice..have stayed in nicer hotels in Chicago for less $$$$! I would recommend hotel and would stay again..overall a good stay, however was expecting more from this property!

Great staff.....awesome rooms..wont ever stay anyplace else..great value

I've stayed at dozens of hotels over the years I've visited Chicago but in terms of getting the best overall experience, nothing comes close to The Dana Hotel and Spa. Stayed here 4 nights and couldn't have been more satisfied with the service I revived. You also can't beat some of the great deals you'll find here on hotels.com. Simply extraordinary!

My husband, two daughters, and I stayed for 2 nights. We loved it! The room was fabulous and we had a spectacular view of the city. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The doorman, TJ I believe, remembered us each time we came in or out, and was very helpful. We travel to Chicago about 1-2 times a year and this will be our place to stay from now on!

I booked this hotel very last minute for a one night stay and was pleased with what I got for my money. I wanted a modern, hip place and Dana Hotel and Spa was just what I was hoping for. I ended up eating at the restaurant in the lobby and was surprised at how good it was. I also took advantage of the gym which was very nice with good equipment, elegant decor, and two walls of windows that overlook the street which provided an entertaining view. Overall the clientele seemed younger than other hotels but I saw a range of people while I was there.

Let's face it, given the myriad of reputable and quality lodging choices in downtown Chicago, you can afford to be a little more demanding when choosing a hotel. I'm happy to say, yet again, the Dana didn't disappoint. My family and I decided to do a quick spring break, urban getaway. You know, get a little culture, dine, shop, etc. For location, for amenities, and for just plain great service, the Dana is still a solid choice. I discovered the Dana when it first opened. Other than now showing minimal signs of normal wear tear here and there, it's still has one of the coolest vibes. As a boutique hotel, it's on the smaller side, but that's probably one of the reasons the staff has time to be so nice and accommodating, from the bellhop and the wait staff at the hotel's in house restaurant Aja (which btw has a killer breakfast menu) to the maitre'd. The rooms are well appointed with great city views though be advised, there's no overhead lighting in the concrete ceiling, making the rooms a little dark even with lamp lighting throughout the room. The wood floors lend an air of cleanliness and freshness to the room, as did the rain shower head in the spacious roll in shower. Bottom line is, you just can't go wrong with the Dana especially when you get a good rate paired with a special like free parking or free breakfast.

Excellent location. 3 blocks from Michigan Ave. Walking distance to all major Loop shopping, restaurants, Navy Pier, Grant/Millenium Parks. We paid a little extra for a corner room, which was well worth it. Two walls of windows - Great views from higher floors! Room had a high tech, modern feel, very clean. Bed was very comfortable, plenty of plush pillows. Shower was one of the best I've seen in a hotel - didn't have to bend down under the shower head (tall guys you know what I mean). Staff and doormen were pleasant. A bit noisy at night, but what do you expect when staying downtown? We still slept well, probably being so tired from walking all day! We usually stay in hotels in this price range, and this was one of the better ones.

Highly recommened, great location from Michigan Ave, and all the shopping and eatery. Will go back and stay again! Rooms were good for a weekend getaway, and very nice and modern! A++

Found the room dark and dreary--terribly ugly ceiling, lighting poor. Most important-- we asked for a handi- capped facility ' There were n o bars in the shower and nothing around the toilet. Frustrating. Bar very n oisy but food good.

I love this place! I've stayed at boutique hotels before and have never had one that felt so warm and friendly. The decor felt very homey. I was there for 4 nights and it felt more like I was walking into my bedroom than a hotel room. The hotel staff was fantastic from the doormen to the front desk to the maid service. I stayed in a Serene King room and it was probably the biggest hotel room I've ever had compared to other hotels and similar room category. The next time I'm in Chicago I will definitely be staying at The Dana.

The Dana was an excellent hotel. Location is ideal for resturants & exploring the city. The hotel itself is modern & trendy...a Fun place to stay.

Wonderful location - Friendly staff - great food too!

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time. The hotel is amazingly clean, the rooms are impeccable (if a bit small - at least the one I booked), and everything was comfortable, convenient, and friendly. I would go back anytime.

Great location! Close to Michigan Ave shopping/dining and CTA access. My room had many luxuries: rain shower, Keurig coffee and tea, iPod docking station and glorious floor to ceiling windows with stunning view. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be back!

This is the second time I've stayed at the Dana and I highly recommend it. Great location being a few blocks from Michigan Ave. to the east and Hubbard St. to the south. Very cool vibe in the hotel, with the electronica mood music pumped throughout, the sushi bar on the main level and Club Vertigo on the rooftop with an amazing view of downtown. The rooms are very retro with open showers that are visible from the bathroom and the bedroom, concrete floors and ceilings and big plush beds, flat screen tvs, music system and plenty of room. The view facing east is great and there's plenty of closet space and drawers. If you're still young, cool and sexy, this is a great place! Love it!

Stayed there to get some writing done. Hip hotel, friendly service but small room (especially bathroom) and questionable maintenance. The batteries were almost dead on TV remote and phones and in the middle of the night one of the blackout shades completely fell down causing me a near heart attack thinking someone was breaking in the room from the balcony.

I loved my room. Everything was great.

Husband and I had a comfortable corner room with a great view of State St. Love the restaurant and bar downstairs. Great atmosphere through out!

My fiance and I spent this past weekend at the Dana Hotel and Spa and we are going to make this our staple for future trips to Chicago. This is one of the newer hotels in great location near Michigan Ave close to great restaurants. Unbeatable service and upscale rooms. Hands down the best hotel mattress we've ever flept on. We almost didn't want to leave the room all weekend because of the great views with floor to ceiling windows. There is also a great nightclub on the top floor that's quite popular and the spa seems to offer a significant amount of services at reasonable rates for in-hotel service. I only gave it a 4 out of 5 for maintenance because of a dirty furnace filter that I think affected the heat. However, maintenace came right up and had it replaced in less than 2 minutes!

The hotel is close to two stops on the Red line and some great tapas and delicious Italian food. The views are great. The shower view from the room is a strange feature.

Great location! Friendly, helpful staff!

1st time in Chi when I go back I will make reservations to stay hear again.
