Very enjoyable and exciting

The hotel restaurant is positoned on the river making every dining experience peaceful and picturesque. The food was really good, especially the local specialties. Staff were very friendly and sweet.

Hotel in on the main road to Angkor Wat.

We had a very pleasant experience at Tara Angkor. The service was very good, rooms cleaned everyday and tidied up every evening. Breakfast offered had a good variety. Very convieniently located. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

Very nice staff. Very nice room. I recommend getting rooms that face the courtyard as my friends who faced out (don't know which side) complained of a barking dog in the middle of the night. I liked that the hotel had a business center area and Wifi. The breakfast buffet was extensive and good. The hotel is a $2 tuk-tuk ride from the middle of town. There were no problems getting a tuk-tuk ever.

This hotel was splendid! Everyone were very polite and welcome was kind! Breakfast was outstanding and also the services of the hotel's restaurant were good. Only minus is that the taxi service from the hotel to the airport is expensive but if you make a deal with tuk tuk driver for a few days you should also ask them to take you to the airport on your departure day.

Very satisfied. Definitely value for money. The hotel and its amenities were beyond my expectation. If i were to return to Siem Reap, i would stay in Tara Angkor again. I loved how it was pretty tranquil in the day when most guests were out touring the town and the courtyard dining was a pleasant experience. We enjoyed the massage there and went back for a second time the next day. Location-wise, it was good. We could stroll back from the night market to the hotel in 10 minutes. The hotel staff were helpful and sweet too.

Enjoyed the stay at Tara Anchor Hotel. We ate at this hotel most of the time and the food was great, prepared with care and the price was reasonable too ! Breakfast was excellent and thanks to the executive chef Gavin. The staff serviced the room at least a couple of times a day. Enjoyed the friendly environment and hospitality by the hotel staff. The hotel staff helped us when we needed to make phone calls in cambodia and they did it free of charge. We didn't feel alone in Cambodia - we had the confidence that there are kind people to help us when needed. Recommend this hotel to all. If we need to visit Cambodia again, will definitely book accommodation at Tara Anchor Hotel again.

Rooms are a little noisy, location and service is ok, not much around the hotel. Pool area is nice.

We had a very pleasant 4 days here. Staff very pleasant and dealt with any requests immediately. The pool area is clean and pool a nice size. It was quiet during the day when the coach tours were out of the hotel. Breakfast was average with both Asian and Western hot buffet as well as an omelette station. Downside were tour groups could dominate the lobby and breakfast but I expect this is similar to other hotels The only criticism would be the concierge desk where we only saw the concierge once - she was new in post so we didnt get any adivice except from reception staff which was limited. We ate 2 nights at Abacus which was expensive by Cambodian standards but food was good the crab salad starter was excellent. Be careful if going to see Angkor Wat sunrise as the steps are very steep. And I hate to think what would happen if you slipped.

From the moment we walked into the lobby area and smelt the Lemongrass we knew we had picked the right hotel. The rooms were very large, clean and comfortable. Nice restaurants, bar, swimming pool and a great fitness room. Throw in the fact that the staff are very nice and friendly and it really made a great stay for us. Definitely a 4 star plus in my opinion. A short Tuk Tuk ride into the old town which was a lot of fun. Only slight criticism is that the bar closed early however that could be due to the time of year.

This is a top hotel in a challenging environment. The service offered is unbeatable, we had a fantastic few days. It would be a real challenge we feel to find anywhere better to stay in the area. Attentive, professional, friendly and ultra polite staff, a well run Hotel.

Great location closer to the temples and only about 2km from the town. I couldn't get over how kind the staff were and people in general were in Siem Reap. They really made my entire stay wonderful and memorable. Their buffet breakfast is a great start for a long day of hiking in the temples. During September flood there was no flooding next to this hotel; many hotels in the town were flooded. Though after a while I didn't mind the flood but still it was nice to walk in/out with dry feet. They lend bikes which I liked. The little souvenir shop in the lobby had nice items and good prices. The foot massage included in my rate was really great. I also ordered thai-massage which I wasn't as impressed with. Only thing that was a little odd was that with my hotel booking I was confirmed to a free airport shuttle. However this wasn't the case but in the end they agreed to pick me up from the airport at no cost.

This hotel is a bit far from the action of pub street but actually that's a good thing - it's only a 5 minute tuk tuk ride (usually $2) to get into town and that means it is in a quiet area away from the pub noise. It's also on the road to the temples which is very convenient. The hotel itself is excellent - clean, new and the staff are amazing. There is a great pool, a gym, and the breakfast buffet is enormous with plenty of high quality food. Our booking included free Internet but I don't think that's standard. The rooms are large and have big flat-screen TVs with lots of satellite channels. We extended our stay because we liked the hotel so much and would definitely use it again if we came back to Siem Reap.

Brilliant service and a lovely pool. The room had the largest bed I've ever slept in!

A great hotel with a luxurious pool that you can return to after seeing the temples. Wonderful breakfast and excellent standard of room and breakfast. Service of the staff cannot be faulted.

Overall stay is OK but remember to put some money (abt 1US$) to ensure they change your bedsheet! The dinner in the hotel suzks. Suggest you take a tuktuk to the city for dinner.

I stayed at the Tara Angkor for four nights and was very happy with the quality of the room and service. Although the hotel restaurant was nothing special. Sokhy who works at the bar is really friendly and is the best cocktail maker!

We had two rooms both well equiped and clean, just a shame they werent next to each other but then the hotel was quite busy. Reception was good friendly staff and very attentive. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice and plenty to go around, buffet style so you could have as much as you wanted. Pool was nice to relax in after a day sight seeing.

The hotel was quite near to Angkor Wat and the old market. We only had to take a tu-tu which is their 3 wheeled motorcycle to all the places. We had a friendly driver whom drove us around to places. The hotel was clean and pleasant and the staffs were very friendly. The complimentary foot massage was great!

Beautiful hotel and polite and helpful staff. You can't beat the price, it's a bargain for a 4 star hotel. Great breakfast buffet selection and spa. Rooms were very clean, it was better than I imagined. The hotel is nicer than the pictures! There is a supermarket nearby literally 3 minutes by foot. I do recommend making dinner reservations at Koulen 2 restaurant for an Apsara dance performance. It's a must see. You can ask the staff and they will help you. It's $2 by tuk tuk one way to get to the restaurant. Will definitely stay at Tara again next time!

The hotel was nice and pleasant!

what you got was way more than what you paid for, its definitely a great choice, highly recommended!

An excellent 4* hotel all round, but you will have to take a U$2 tuk tuk each way into town to shop, go for food in the evening. We stayed in a Superior king size bed room.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Good breakfast, close to temples, very nice staff.

Clean, friendly staff, nice pool with a convinenet location 10-15 min ride to Angkor wat 10 min to pub street. Would recommend to anyone looking at this hotel.

Great hotel. close to Angkor Thom. Hotel arranged great tourguide. Would definitely stay again. Great value for money.

This hotel is simply put just superb, only a little pricey but you get what you pay for. My only regret is that I didn't stay there longer. The rooms are very nice, clean and tidy. Crew good at English and helpful. Location awesome for temple excursions, and just a 10-minute walk to the center of Siem Reap.

Tara is a quaint hotel with excellent staff service. Marvelous value for money and highly recommend it.

The hotel was good and convenient to visit all the temples. Good food at the hotel.... Enjoyed the sap... The only complaint I had was the hot water in the shower was not consistently hot...

The hotel was a great deal. Super nice room. Incredible breakfast, more like lunch and breakfast combined. Nice service. Beautiful setting. Beautiful sparkling pool. WfFi everywhere.

Stayed for a week to visit Angkor wat which is next to the hotel. Great hotel.Looked after me very well. Great place to stay and fantastic place to visit.

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing standards and service for the price. Our room was large and well-equipped with an excellent house-keeping service. The staff generally could not do enough for you. The breakfast buffet was also excellent - the lemon grass juice was worth getting up for on its own. The hotel pool is pleasant if not huge. Our rate included a half hour foot massage (we returned to the spa for treatments later in our stay as it was a very pleasant area and well price although the spa staff did not speak a lot of English) and free transfers to and from the Airport. Although the hotel is located a little bit out of town (conveniently on the way to Angkor Wat) it is only a $2 tuk tuk ride each way - and tuk tuk rides are an important part of the Siem Reap experience. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

My trip to Cambodia was not only an enjoyable but also a comfortable one. During my 4D trip in Cambodia, my friends and I decided to booked the Executive Room with Tara Angkor Hotel. Got to know this hotel while doing my research online (i.e. based on the photos and reviews from other guests). After my trip, I am sure I made the right choice. The photos of the hotel are exactly a replicate of the view of the hotel. In addition, the hotel was clean and the room was definitely well furnished. In addition to the above, the hotel provides the following: - Wireless - Airport transfers - Buffet Breakfast - Tara Spa (i.e. Foot Massage) In which, my package includes the above for free! =D

The hotel is very nice and elegant. Staff very friendly, good knowledge of english. We appreciate the free shuttle to the airport. Only one not too nice remark: the swimming pool floor was not clean, and the pool's water did not smell too good.
