Auckland City Hotel - Hobson Street - أوكلاند

We booked the 2 bed studio which turned out to be really clean, spacious and comfortable. Though not located right smack in the middle of the city, it was just a couple of mins walk away from the Avis car rental which made it easy to collect and drop off our rented car. They also had a mini mart and a restaurant located downstairs which made looking for food and last minute essentials easy. Overall a place to stay and I would come back again

Near where long distance buses arrive and leave from - and, as central Auckland isn't that big, convenient for most places, both towards the waterfront and K Road. I had a disabled person's room - large, though the shower was odd.

The hotel is still fairly new so everything is still very clean. Near the Skytower so very easy to find your way back to hotel! Room was decent size for price paid.Would stay again.

The Auckland city hotel was a very comfortable, clean hotel located at walking distance from the city centre. The hotel also had a good and reasonable breakfast buffet. The neighbourhood is good in general but it seemed that a lot of migrants lived in the surroundings.

My room was a queensize-bed double-room, with a large bathroom. Everything really clean and the stuff was friendly and helpful. There is nothing to complain. I was there for 3days. It was really cheap for a hotel like this. And you got it all. Like SkySports on TV. Live sports! Thank you! :-) From hear, you could walk to center of Queenstreet in under 5min. and to Skycity, too. To harbour is a walk of maybe 15min. downhill. Enjoy your stay.

Hotel in excellent location in regards to being in walking distance to major tourist sights. Location is however in student housing area and close to bus station therefore aesthetically not as good a location.

Staff were friendly. Room was excessively warm on arrival. A free-standing a/c unit was available, but operated only while I was in the room (room key activates lights, switches). Moreover, the a/c was vented into the walls - I could feel hot air coming out of the light fixtures in the ceiling while the unit was on. I closed the bathroom door since that is where the heat escaped most, allowing the area near the bed to cool down, but a sauna like atmosphere in the bath in the morning. Definitely not a 4-star hotel.

not very inviting lobby and there is NO wi-fi in the room, though you will have free 30 mins using wi-fi in the lobby, but you can't get online in your bed with your pyjamas on. that's the only drawback. the rest is all good. also, the resto in the hotel wasn't that attractive. i'd rather have a gym room, or something else took up that place.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location of this hotel is centrally located which made our tour of the city great. We enjoyed the good food at the hotel's restaurant too.

Hotels.com offered the best deal for Auckland City Hotel at the time of booking on the actual day itself. It was much cheaper than the rates the hotel offers actually and so we booked for 3 nights! Hotel staff was really nice to offer us an upgrade from the Deluxe Room to the Executive Room on the 9th floor. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is near to Queen St (shopping area), SkyCity and the harbour, which are within 5 to 15 minutes walking distance. The Executive room has a sliding door between the bedroom and the living room, which comprises of a sofa, coffee table and a kitchenette. Room amenities were sufficient, except that we could not find any hairdryer in the room (maybe it was hidden somewhere). There was no superb view as we were facing the opposite block of apartments. The only bad thing was the high cost of parking your personal vehicle in the hotel as it costs $25 per night. Overall, it is highly recommended to stay in this hotel as it is very comfortable and our stay was very pleasant. Definitely accounts for why the ratings are good.

Good location, helpful staff. Charge for internet, but you can request a "pass" for 30 mins use per day at NO CHARGE. Restaurant is pretty good! Prices are a little high, but it sure is convenient. Great weather in mid-March, but rain is always a consideration. Come prepared, just in case!

Room size was fine but the shower was not at all suitalbe. Lots of noise due to being in a student area. Not at all well located for restaurants.

Very satisfactory stay, Good service and location. I could not believe however the $50.00 charge for lost plastic key. this is a 0.50 cents item. the hotel needs to revisit this practice.

We loved the position of this Hotel it was value for money. Clean, comfortable and great central location. If your looking for a reasonably priced hotel I don't think you can go past this one on Hobson Street Auckland.

For the price, a good place to stay. Convenient, and as advertised. Avoid restaurant, as we found the food good, but service lacking and expensive. Liked the parking garage, but the cost for internet is very high.

A nice place to stay in CBD Auckland. The room was clean and comfortable. The staffs were friendly and helpful, and plus it has a great location.

This hotel is very centrally located, approx 2 mins walking from Sky City and 5 mins from Queen Street. My room had a kitchen and small living area attached to it and was very comfortable. The view was not the best, looking onto to apartmentsat the back of the hotel but there was very little noise and it was easy to sleep at night. I booked this hotel as a place to rest for 3 days after my flight from Ireland and to explore central Auckland before travelling through NZ and found it to be a very good base. The restaurant in the hotel was Malaysian and the room service was mainly Malaysian food which I did not avail of but was very reasonably priced for an hotel.The neighbourhood is a mixture of commercial and resedential buildings. There is a homeless centre across the street but feels safe walking to/from the city centre. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting central Auckland for a few days.

I really liked staying at this hotel. I must admit, I was a bit cautious and held low expectations prior to arrival, based on the cost. My friends and I were looking for something inexpensive and being from out of the country, we weren't sure what to expect based on the lower price. However, we were completely shocked. The rooms were great (very modern), very clean and the bedding was very comfortable. We had read the the location is not close to many conveniences, but we found that not to be true. If you walk out to the left or right of the bldg and go at least a block or two, you can find lots of things, to include markets in which to buy food for your room. There is a great market right across the street. The only down fall, if any, was that there are no restaurants right at the hotel. There is an Asian restaurant in the hotel. We never went to it. It was always empty. But, other reviewers indicated that it wasnt good. If you walk out the bldg and go left and down two blocks, you will come to several eating options. We at a Denny's almost everyday for breakfast, along with a cafe called Hollywood, which if you walk out the hotel and go right, its three blocks up. On that same street, there are a ton of other food options. I still cannot get over the price and how well the rooms and location were. I highly recommend it and I would most definitely stay here again.

I had two seperate rooms with three days seperating the stays. The first room while clean was very basic. The second room was a slight upgrade and very nice. The hotel itself while not in the best area was just two blocks off a main section of the city.

The hotel had everything it said it had but it is not 3 or 4 star standard. The hotel had a high number of Asians standards were not good.

Great Stay over the two nights booked, happy to stay again when required

The hotel personnel were very easy to deal with at check in/check out. The hotel itself was very clean and well presented. There is an apartment complex next door which was a bit noisy in the early hours.

Helpful staff. Comfortable, nice and clean room. Excellent location to center city. This was particularly good since we had no access to a car while in Auckland. We felt quite safe walking anywhere in the city. City buses were particularly good in getting around to the various venues within the city and surrounding neighborhoods. Very impressive beginning to our 3 weeks in New Zealand.

We stayed in a studio room which was very pleasant and spacious. Everything we expected and more. THe only thing is that the staff could be friendlier, some of them seem a bit uptight. Otherwise good location (v. close to the city), good rates, very clean and comfortable and no hassle at all.

We had a clean, comfortable, basic room with 2 beds for a great price. There was even a small kitchen! The staff was helpful and the restaurant (recently purchased by a new owner) served delicious, reasonably-priced food. Parking in the small garage was inexpensive for a city location. We left the car in the garage since the location was just a couple of blocks from the SkyTower.

Enjoyed the satay here, close to the city and the staff were friendly and helpful in all areas.

We stayed in Auckland for two nights at this hotel. The accomodations exceeded our expectations, but we did not love the immediate surroundings. It was not as close to the city center as we expected, but it was not a horrible distance. The closest airport shuttle is about a 10-minute walk. The room was clean and staff very friendly.

Great location, though there is not much in the surrounding area. You will have to walk several blocks to find a good restaurant. But it's a good location from which to explore the city.

The small and very clean room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I loved the Thai-style shower and the emphasis on minimal green living.

The hotel was simple and is in a decent location. I could walk everywhere and it is right near the sky tower. My room was small but efficient. I thought that it would be fine to stay there for three nights, but that was before I tried to sleep there. When I went to get into my bed the first night, to my horror there was a bug right on the pillow! When I pulled back the sheets to look for more, I found that the duvet was absolutely covered in bodily stains. It was absolutely disgusting and I booked a different hotel right away. When I checked out and told the front desk why, they didn't appologize once and still charged me a fortune for the internet!

The room is big, there is even a mini kitchen for cooking and microwave. The location is good too. Next to hotel is a Korean supermarket and pharmacy. We have compared a few shops and so far the manuka honey at this Korean pharmacy is the cheapest. Good location.. Walk further down, there are so many asian shops and restaurants and the SkyCity and Sky Towers is just 5 mins away. However, housekeeping can be improved. There are still a few strands of hair around after housekeeping :(

Large room with kitchenette. The bathroom was very spacious. Location is in walking distance to downtown Auckland (about 2 blocks from the SkyTower). The front staff is very friendly and let us check in early because our room was available. Make sure to let them know if you are parking in the garage since space is limited. Would definitely recommend this hotel for the price we paid.

They even upgraded us to a 2 bed rooms with a big suprise when we arrived. We love the location, minutes to city center and market just steps away. We has a wonderful times in NZ, especially the weather there we love it. All agents very friendly and always willing to help -- especially Shirly. The place, accessible to everything like malls,resto, harbour. skycity, transpo, offices even shops and nighlife. The room is clean comfortable for your stay and right space not too tight The personnel are courteous and accommodating The price really reasonable I REALLY APPRECIATED THE PIN OF THE FRONT DESKS WHICH IS FLAGS OF THE COUNTRY WHERE THEY COMES FROM. IT MAKES US COMFORTABLE AT ONCE.

The people at the hotel were great, as was the hotel. The only bad thing I can say is..... it is in a section of downtown that is...shall we say....less vibrant than other partsof downtown.

I was very comfortable/safe being a single female in a large city. The room was clean and large for the rate given.
