Don Juan Beach Resort - All Inclusive - بوكا تشيكا

If you are able to get the captains suites facing the ocean then it is a great stay. The setting was very nice with a hotel pier right outside your door - the staff was friendly and pleasant - the town around hotel is not as nice and with family I would not walk around at night. overall a pleasant stay for us and I would stay at hotel again

This hotel is excellent for what you pay. Worthy for family as it is very safe for kids. Security all around the beach blocking excess of vendors and it's located in the cleanest and narrow part of Boca Chica's beach, making it really safe for kids. Food isn't very varied in the buffet, but it's is well cooked. My only complain is with A-la-carte restaurant reservations' policy. They don't regulate how much seats you reserve so some selfish dude just took all seats. Make it early.

I book this hotel for 3 days all inclusive for 2 people the room was a mess bathroom had mold growing the tub had rust all over breakfast was to be served untill 11:00 am I went down at 10:41 am only to get fruits and orange juice the staff clean up all the hot breakfast before time the ocean view I paid for I had to go outside on balcony bend down and look through the bushes to see a parcial view of the beach I will not ever go back or recommend this dump to anyone and I had to check out in one day very unhappy

I have stayed at this hotel several times. The quality of services, facilities and food seems to be on the decline. I will not likely return.

The food was ok and the drinks were watered down took us all day to get a buzz. The employees weren't multilingual which I think should b a must if ur getting ppl from all over. The one thing that really bothered me during the whole stay was that they didn't put any washcloths in the room and then it took them 2 hrs to get someone to the room then another half hour for them to go get someand bring them back. Other then those few things the resort was beautiful and the nights when the employees perform at showtime are hillarious

I had considered both Don Juan and Hamaca when making my plans and chose Don Juan do to location and price. The Hotel is an 8 building compound surrounded by lush, tropical gardens and pools. Unfortunately, very few rooms offer an ocean view and these rooms are Captain's Suites only available through the hotel at a premium. Most of the better rooms face a pool or public areas or a street. This resort is very popular with families with young children so you have to deal with dozens of screaming kids all day if you're in one of the better rooms. The hotel is decent, clean, the food wasn't bad, but the buildings are about 40 years old and have their share of minor maintenance issues. The Hamaca Resort is at the opposite end of the main strip and is definitely a big upgrade in location, amenities... nearly all the rooms face the ocean, the building is much newer and more modern... and the beach is off-limits to the the very persistent, pesky beach vendors. For families, Don Juan will satisfy and is a good value. I would choose Hamaca next time.

The people at the front tried to scam us out of the "nice" restaurant on premises by saying we didn't have a reservation by 3pm although no one told us that. We ended up getting a reservation, but the restaurant wasn't nice anyways and served horrible wine. The beach is OK, but I swear 50 vendors came up to us in a 2 hour period and the hotel does nothing to get them off you or make the beach private. (A lot of hotels in DR do). The food was OK at best. The bar serves Brahma beer not Presidente but they do serve Brugal. The beer is actually good and out of a bottle, not draft. Let me warn you, if you are one minute late checking out the cut all the lights off and water in your room!! Also, the room key won't work if you are late so all of your belongings are locked in! That was kind of psycho considering we asked for late check out and our room key wouldn't work!

The hotel is overrated. Namely, the air-conditioning in the room was noisy but weak, and none in the bathroom which was neglected (e.g., with missing tiles, multfunctiong toilet, and only hot water). The food was mediocre. The gym was very much subpar (no A/C or fans, and very limited equipment and size). There were lots of very aggressive vendors on the beach, which prevented relaxation. The area around the hotel overall did not feel safe and secure. The check in and out service was very slow and inefficient. Also, please avoid using the SIXT car rental company at the Airport.

Nice facility and pretty beach. Security staff keeps beach from being as crazy as the surrounding beach and tries to keep the vendors moving. Not all vendors are bad; there is nothing like a complete pedicure and foot massage for less than 10 bucks! The staff is very nice. If the food was decent, it would be a pretty great place to vacation.

The hotel was decent and beach was really nice if you could put up with local vendors. We wanted some peace and quiet time there. Food, drinks and service were good! The hotel is located in a run down town named Boca Chica. We couldn't really go shopping outside of the hotel area because of local vendors.

First off, the all inclusive is completely overated. The food is not good and the service is even worse. My car was blocked in for a whole day by a wedding party, no one seemed to care. Then my girl friend was treated horribly and with no human decency, because they thought she was a prostitute trying to enter the premises. She was dressed conservatively, btw. Overall stay away from this particular hotel, you've been warned.

not what i was told. stranger entering my room in middle of night was last straw. some of the employees for nice. others down rightrude. never go there again.

J'aimerais que l'hotel organise des visites guides pour les clients

Fantastiskt læge. Jag hade ett av rummen med balkong mot stranden vilket var riktigt fint. Maten var ok och troligen mycket bra med Dominikanska mått men man blir lite trøtt på den. Av någon anledning var handdukarna till stranden alltid slut nær jag frågade men i øvrigt var servicen mycket bra. Gav man 100 pesos då och då i dricks så blev servicen ændå något bættre. Blev dock ej klok på om det ær normalt med dricks eller ej.

Las habitaciones a pesar de ser suites estan algo anticuadas,aunque limpias,en estas suites segun me dijeron no hay posibilidad de opcion fumadores,cosa que deberian decir en la propaganda ya que de haberlo sabido no hubiera elegido el hotel,la atencion del personal es pesima en comedor y buena en bares,a pesar de que las bebidas son malisimas en el todo incluido,la comida buena pero sin variedad,la playa lo mejor,no recomendaria este hotel a nadie que conozca

El hotel es grande y está quedado en el tiempo. Los baños son viejos y los aires acondicionado hacen un ruido tremendo. El wifi que prometen no llega a todas las habitaciones. Si bien los empleados le ponen voluntad, le falta infraestructura para que tu estadía sea placentera. En el caso de que llegues de noche, el lugar da un poco de temor ya que los alrrededores son algo marginales. Dentro del complejo te encontras con familias numerosas por lo general Dominicanas que van a veranear y Europeos en busca de compañía para divertirse. Si buscas este hotel porque estas de paso por trabajo no te lo recomiendo. Si te lo vas a tomar muy relajado y vas a descanzar puede servir... pero no esperes gran lujo.

Kom till Don Juan BR efter 5 dar på landsbygden med primitivt boende och högljudda hundslagsmål på nätterna. Vilken skillnad det blev och vi fick vila ut på knäpptysta nätter och ungarna (4st) var i pool eller havet hela dagarna. Rum direkt vid stora bassängen. Svalkande vit sand på stranden som var bevakad(=säker) nattetid. Bilder stämmer och mat/personal/rum var bra. Januari är perfekt klimat med inte för varmt och ett skuggande moln då och då. PADI dykcenter på området med provapå dyk. Nära flygplats. Dock blir man ju lite less på All inclusive livet inne på hotellet och 4dar räckte gott och vår 4a-åring hann tom lära sig simma...
