Cadillac Hotel - البندقية

bathrooms where really nice, beds weren't too bad, carpet a little dirty but i wasnt really turned off by it. There was a mini fridge, and a flat screen tv set up. No a.c. but we left the window open and the ocean front breeze was perfect. The rec room downstairs is actually really cool. This place was perfect for the price. walls were a little then so waking up to your neighbors t.v. is a probability. also a great view from the roof. you can see for miles in all directions. and don't be afraid of the old elevator, worked like a charm, just a little bit slow

During the day my son and I enjoyed the area but at night many of the homeless gather around or near the hotel to sleep. The hotel doesn't have air conditioning but the overhead fan was sufficient. The rooftop terrace was beautiful, open from 9am-10pm. The hotel is conveniently located & within blocks to great dining and shops. The hotel has a parking lot (with paid permit) on the other side of an apt complex. Our flight left @6am and we were blocked in by another car. The staff quickly accommodated (@3am) by getting the car moved. I will definitely stay again.

This hotel was very satisfying. Room was Comfortable very clean. Hotel was close by the beach and walking distance to local shops. Moderate amount of homeless community close to the beach. But it's a beach so that's unavoidable. Pet friendly hotel which is a plus. Main points about this hotel is cleanliness, great service, location. My wife and I will definitely stay here again.

Great position right on the beach.noisy thru the day but quiet from about 10.00pm. rooms clean and spacious except for bathroom hard to shut door because of toilet. Parking cost $15 for the night.

We were on the north end of Venice at the Cadillac. The front desk was more than helpful with recommendations and know history with the area which is very interesting as well. The lobby has local art and is quite attractive. It's location afforded us to be on the beach near Santa Monica pier (20min walk). Close to Hollywood (11mi away). Venice itself is a unique experience and should not be missed. This hotel was affordable and on the beach! Great food within walking distance. I loved the experience as did my teenagers. We are thinking of making it a summer tradition.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and nice.

All good stuff

The front desk workers were very nice. Are carpets in room 401 were just, Nasty! luckily we spent most of are time outside the room. As far as location to Venice Beach....it was perfect. Parking was horrible....overall it was a cool place to stay to see Venice Beach.

Good hotel to stay for a night. However, Venice beach is not the best neighbourhood at night and it was sometimes noisy. The staff was amazing though and the rooms ok.

This is a hotel with very few amenities. The best part about it was the location. It was right across the beach. However, having said that, the room was supposed to have a queen bed and it only had a double. In addition to this, the bed was very uncomfortable. Plus, it wasn't very clean. There was an earring from another hotel guess left in the bathroom, which shows it wasn't cleaned as thoroughly as it could have been. You will be charged for internet use even if you don't use it. Parking was very, very cramped in a small parking lot next to the hotel. The hotel was a disappointment for the most part.

This hotel was just right for what we needed. Great location, clean enough, affordable and helpful service! Also, parking is available. It is an older property and not at all a luxury stay, but we would stay again! It is Venice Beach after all! If the carpets were changed, it would make a huge difference.

The customer service at this hotel is amazing. They catered to our every need. It was conveniently located on the boardwalk with easy parking in the back for a low price! I will definitely stay here again. :)

solid hotel upside- price, on the beach, good restaurant next door, clean, basics in room- small hair dryer, iron/board, bed, tv, shower only downside- homeless people at night, perfectly harmless, no frills, no workout room- who uses them, no pool- who cares when u got the ocean

Very nice hotel with outstanding location, although parking is a problem. But, to be on Venice boardwalk is a trip in itself, surrounding neighborhood is nece enough, but plenty of homeless people (they mostly keep to themselves). Really appreciate the rooftop access, nice place for drinking a beer and watching all the action.

Our stay was just fine. No complaints, not luxury, but we didn't want to pay for luxury on this trip!

I was really disappointed with my room. The walls were paper thin and I could hear the TV of the room next door at night. In the morning, I could hear every word of people talking as they walked down the hall and also the slamming of other doors. The window rattled really loudly through the night as the wind hit it. The door wasn't tight around the edges so when the lights were out, the light from the hallway glowed in (brightly) from ALL 4 sides of the door. I didn't even know this was possible!!!! I wasn't expecting much; I was just looking for a place to sleep for the night, but this was very disappointing. (ie., I did not have a decent night's sleep.)

enjoyed very much.Being on the beach I was able to exercise a great deal.

The location of the hotel is just perfect! It's clean, simple interior, quiet, in short: great value for the money!

I was a little wary of this hotel based on some of the other reviews but coming from a very urban area I didn't think the reports of the abundant homeless people would be troublesome and I'm happy to say I was right. So long as you don't mind an eclectic crowd this hotel is fantastic. It's very boutique style and opens onto a side street that is mere steps from the beach and the venice boardwalk. We enjoyed walking around looking at all the vendor booths and the shop next door with all the metal sculptures. The hotel front desk was very friendly and we were checked in promptly and received great instructions on where to park, wireless etc. It was a short walk to get to all the shops, pubs and restaurants along Pacfic Avenue not to mention there are some fun looking places right next to the hotel with reasonably priced drink deals. The hotel was slightly musty as previously stated in other reviews, but only because it's an old building and steps to the ocean. We felt the cleanliness of the room and amenities more than made up for that. We even had a little kitchen with a full sized fridge.

It was difficult to find, run down and dirty everywhere except the room.

Recently spent 6 nights there. The staff (and I suspect one was an owner or part owner) are friendly, helpful and professional. The room was nicely done (although they have a table and chair, it would be great if they add a soft chair for sitting). Very nice art gallery off the lobby adds to the cool factor. Just beyond is the ocean, palm trees, and the Venice ongoing carnival - artists, skateboarders, beggars, etc. That really is the measure of whether you'll like staying here. If you're up for a colorful scene with some weird people, the Cadillac puts you front-and-center. We liked it! Plan to return again!

The room was very nice and clean, it looked newly renovated! The area was ok at daytime but not at night. Didn't go out after 7 pm.

The hotel is in a very nice location right on the beach with rooftop patio and friendly staff but the area does dies down after dark. The hotel's renovations have made the hotel very comfortable and clean considering the age of the building and they have an awesome rooftop patio. The room I had did have a partial sky view with a partial wall view. The walls are quite thin; I was able to fully understand the conversations in the other room and the forced $3 fee per night for internet regardless of whether we used it or not was not cool. All in all if you want to stay beach side in Venice beach, this is a pretty good spot.

This was one of the dirtiest hotels I've ever stayed in, especially for the price, plus extra for parking and for the internet if you used it or not. The furniture looked like it was from goodwill. I wouldn't let my dog walk on that carpet, no dresser, plumbing bad. To top it off it was more than a mile from the Santa Monica pier - AND - there were at least a hundred (not kidding) homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk just outside the door. My view was a building 3 feet away covered with pidgon poop. Find a nice place in Santa Monica, walk to the pier and have a nice dinner. The Cadillic should rate a 0.

The cadillac hotel is great for some, and terrible for others. I stayed there with some family and friends and it was both great and terrible for me, personally. I was there in light of the Rose Bowl game, but decided to see the sights of Venice, CA. My ratings are based on two separate rooms on the 4th (top) floor of the hotel. Here's what I can summarize: PROS: -Awesome location, right on the beach -Rooftop access for a great view -PRICE. My rates were very affordable. I cannot guarantee the same to others CONS: -Parking is an absolute NIGHTMARE. There is no guaranteed parking. Only what they suggest may be available. The Cadillac Hotel itself does not own places to park. Plan ahead for extra time to park! I spent an aggravating 30 minutes or so to work this out... -Possible smelly room. My room had a noticeable musty smell (but I got used to it soon). My brother's room didn't smell bad at all. You get what you get. -Small rooms. This can be nice or bad. The rooms have the essentials and nothing else. One or two beds in a square room with a small attached bathroom. Decent size TV, small refrigerator, small closet. Don't plan on spending much time in the room. -Noisy neighborhood. Did not bother me, but can bother others. Music is heard from the beach. Other hotel guests may be louder than usual as well. Possible smell of herbs exists as well. -They will charge you for internet access after you check out, even if you dont use it. Daily fee. Anyway, the point is, it is a great place to stay if you are with a few friends who plan to save money, experience the Venice atmosphere, and don't mind the flaws of the hotel. Had I been with just my friends, we wouldn't have minded the cons listed. In other words, NOT a good place to take the family. But not a bad hotel if you go there knowing what to expect first. The room smelled, beds were like sleeping on a box-spring, and the carpets were very stained. The complementary shampoo bottle had a hair sticking out of it and the walls were paper-thin, we could hear everything that was going on in the next room! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

The only good thing about this dive was customer service. Alex was extremely helpful. The other staff was friendly.

I actually liked everything about this hotel. The gal at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. We were allowed to bring our dog. Lots of cool stuff is near by (off the promenade). The promenade is entertaining. Great beach right out the door. The place is hip and has a young vibe. It was clean and comfortable as well as cool. That said, I didn't give all 5 stars because it isn't for everyone. The promenade is a total tourist trap which bothers some. The grunge factor is too much for lots of people. And some people prefer a more 'typical' hotel. If you are open minded, this is the perfect place for you.

The Cadillac Hotel was fully renovated 3 years ago... This Old School Hotel is situated right on Venice ocean front walk, just a few steps away of cafes, restaurants and convenience store. The room has everything you would expect of a hotel on its price range. (two double beds, mini bar and fully serviced bathroom). I was ther for 2 nights and loved it. A+

Cons: Stains on the carpet beside the bed and some mystery stains on the head board. Pros; Decent and friendly service. Bottom line: There are other hotels in the area.

Damp, stained carpet. Cigarette burns on pillows. Stains all over sheets. Broken sink. Terrible smell. Should be condemned.

Hotel location very close to the sea and Ocean Promenade. No free park around the hotel except between 8pm to 8am. Very clean bathroom, ouf!! Very bad view :( Free wifi net access :))

Friendly, clean, bad side of building where you open a window and someone else is there..

Average / decent quality hotel. Noisy surroundings (street musicians, cafe music, and commercial fans), dirty front place occupied by homeless people. But great location directly on the beach bordwalk. Friendly and helpful staff. Chairs on the roof to admire sunsets on Venice beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel for people who don't necessarily want more luxurious settings.

The Cadillac was just that a classic budget boutique kinda place to allow ample time to cruise the beach and enjoy the eclectic / arty nature of Venice Beach. Rooms were comfortable and stylish but NO A/C can be a problem for some... My g/f and I enjoyed the weekend and would be happy to come back. Yoga on the roof in the AM overlooking the beach and ocean was a nice perk!
