The food, drinks & service were all great. The hotel was very clean and we got A LOT for our money! The only negative for us was the fact that there are ash trays everywhere and smoking was allowed pretty much everywhere, including in the swimming pool. That was annoying, but everything else was fantastic! This is a great place for couples and families. Maybe not the best for singles if you want to meet other singles though, since at least the week we were there it was all couples and families. That's not a negative, just an FYI for anyone looking for a singles scene.

This hotel was amazingly beyond all expectations especially considering the very reasonable price. The room was very nice, one of the nicest I've had at a Mexican resort. All grounds were very clean, and they were constantly cleaning. Service was always very good. You sit by the pool and within minutes a server is offering drinks, and they make some very good mojitos! Restaurant servers were just as attentive. Food at the buffets were great for a buffet. Their restaurants were average, but was nice to have a change beyond the same buffets every meal. Nightly entertainment was pretty good too. This is our first resort that we would consider visiting again on next year's trip!

I want to thank Riu for giving me such a first class experience. I had ventured on my own for the first time. Riu was very welcoming and helpful. The Hotel grounds are beautiful and enjoyable to relax in. All meals at buffets and restaurants were delicious. The service of the employess were always cheerful and friendly. I will definitely be back. THANK YOU!!!

Of course some of the employees in the hotel where very pleasant, but of course some where not. The lobby and hotel are beautiful and everything in the common area was kept very clean. However in our room there was spit or something on the mirror when we arrived and it was still there when we left.Our thirty one year old son slept on the sofa bed, I tried it and you could feel every spring under you. They advertised nightly turn down service, we only had turn down service once. You had to keep the patio door shut at all times otherwise condensation would be all over the floor. So bad you could easily slip and hurt yourself. The room (Jr. suite) seemed a little on the tight side.(small!) The food was okay. My wife said the wine seemed watered down. We do like a restaurant that is right on the ocean, which this resort does not have. Dreams and the Barcelo do. The location is great if you plan on staying in the resort. Just 20 minutes to the airport, but 45 minutes to an hour into Puerto Vallarta. No place close to walk to other than other resorts, or a 45 minute walk to Bucerias.

This is our 4th time back to the RIU Palace over the last few years. They are always very freindly and helpful. We have found over time that they keep the same employees and they seem to be very happy working there. This has been a very relaxing place so if you are looking for the night entertainment they have that at the other 2 places down about 10 minute walk along the beach. We also like it as it's a hour and 15 min. walk (one way or a taxi 5 min) down to the Paridise Village mall (which has a starbuck). This is very great place for adults.

This hotel has excellent food and very friendly staff! tip the waiters and bartenders not because they serve you but because they will do it with a smile! so nice, our only complaint is at nite needs more music at sports bar or piano bar till a little later to wind down with a couple of drinks. Overall great place to relax with great food!

Some of the best food and service I have had anywhere, and I have traveled to many countries. The spacious room was immaculate and cleaning staff were all around the hotel and pool Taking care of things. This is the newest of the three RIU facilities in or near Puerto Vallarta (this was at Nuevo Vallarta) and from what I was told from others, the best one to stay at. I could not have been more satisfied. One word of caution as you exit your plane on the way to transportation - there are rows of nicely dressed people on either side willing to help you with free rids and other activities. they will not come out and say it, but they are selling some form of time share or other opportunities. The Rui Palace Pacifico is very impressive as you enter the amazing lobby, and it just gets better from there. I came primarily for the food, which was awesome and bountiful. The buffets at breakfast (starts at 7AM), lunch (starts 12:30PM) and dinner (starts 6:30PM) were the best I have ever had. So many choices it is hard to describe. They have theme nights so that many of the choices are different each night. We went to the Caribbean, Mexican and gourmet nights. One night we went to one of their sit down, table service gourmet restaurants called Krystal, a sort of fusion restaurant. The appetizers were great, the sea bass fair and my wife's steak not so good. We were told the steakhouse had better steak. The menus at the Japanese and Mexican restaurants looked intriguing, but honestly the buffets were hard to beat both in quality and variety. The service (ask for Julian or Gerardo) at the buffets was better as well. Although tipping is not required, it is definitely appreciated. They brought us cappucino, wine, champagne and mixed drinks whenever requested. Did I mention the top shelf drinks were all included as well, including bottles of tequila, rum and vodka in your room? And that there is limited 24 hour room service for drinks and snacks available. There is a sports ba

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable weekend get away this is the place for you! The staff was so friendly and the food was amazing! I loved every moment of my short stay! My only compliant, is that I had to come back home!

The staff was excellent and the food was very good! The manager, Javier, and his assistant, Javier, were most helpful. I would highly recommend this property.

Hated the fact that there was no internet upstairs. For that reason alone, I don't think I will stay there again. Also, the pillows are too flat.

Just an amazing hotel to relax for fews days and to do nothing except from being served with a lovely and available staff. The room is big and clean. The hotel is quite impressive at first ! The food is so good and there are so many choices you don't even know what you wanna eat ! The gastronomic restaurants are amazing, the french one in particular is breathless, if you know what is gourmet food. I don't have bad comments (or they will be irrelevant) on this hotel because we were more impressed than ever. We had an amaziiiing time over there, plus the price was really worth it ! We'll be back as soon as we can and we recommend it to everybody, especially couples.

An excellent hotel, with an excellente attention . The food is delicious.

My husband and I just came back from a 6 day vacation to Puerto Vallarta and stayed at Riu Palace. Everything was great. The place is very clean and beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff are so friendly that throughout the stay I felt like I was among family members. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only thing is that the hotel is about 20 to 30 min away from the down town, but renting a car is the best option to get there from and to the airport and also have the mobility of going to the down town. If you rent a car, make sure you know what their collision or libality insurances cover.

This hotel was great. We had an ocean-view suite, and the view was spectacular. We enjoyed the nightly turndown service and all the meals at the several restaurants on the property. If you are traveling to Puerto Vallarta, this is a hotel I recommend with no hesitation. Also, booking activities through the hotel upon arrival was much cheaper than doing it through websites or doing it directly. Cabs are plentiful and cheap; so, renting was not necessary. Many of companies sponsoring activities we did, such as Canopy zip-lining and the Rhythm of the Nights show, provide transportation from points close to the hotel.

If you want some rest and a clean room, this is not the place to stay. The first room they gave me a view an empty deserted lot. The second room they gave me smelled of pesticide, which eventually made me sick to my stomach. The pillow covers had make up stains and the blanket had food stains. There is no carpet in the entire hotel which makes for a lot of echoing down the halls. You can hear every door slam shut...until 2am and then all over again starting at 6am. I had a 5 night reservation, but checked out after the 1st night.

The hotel was excellent in almost every respect. They handled all normal transactions extremely well. We had to make one room change (we had 4 rooms) and the staff was very accomodating. The property is excellent and the staff very service oriented and friendly. Two things to consdier: The property is located in a great place, but remote. If you will want to go into town it can be costly by cab. The bus is in-expensive and effective, but may give some pause. Second, the restaurant facilities that require reservations are small and the reservation rules are many. In a weeks stay we were only able to get into two of the reservation required restaurants. Over all we were very happy and would definitely go back again or use other RIU properties.

Recientemente pase dos dias con mis amigos, rentamos tres cuartos y al llegar nos hicieron upgrade al cuarto por una suite. Mi unica queja es que me quede sin luz por corto circuito y su tiempo de reaccion no fue el esperado. Tuve que dormir con calor. Sin embargo un over all califico el hotel en 4 puntos

una verdadera comodidad y excelente trato de todo el personal

Realmente todo excelente, pero en temporada baja ya que por ser un hotel grande en tempora alta puede llegar a ser un tanto incomodo. La comida y nuesta estancia fue realmente placentera y comoda. Altamente recomendable 1000 veces mejor que los otros rius que se encuentran en la misma zona.

Excellent Service, pool, food, premium drinks , restaurants, room. everything is great in this hotel, highly recommended , romantic or family trips.

exelente hotel, con una atencion de primera hacia el huesped

El hotel esta bien cuidado, la comida no es muy buena pero no se puede esperar mucho mas de un All-Inclusive. No hay ningun tipo de snack bar o algo por el estilo en el area de alberca y no puedes sacar comida de los restaurantes al area de alberca. Mi queja principal es con el tipo de gente que se hospeda en el lugar. un grupo de personas muy groseras se adueño practicamente del pool-bar y gritaban comentarios groseros y soezes y actuando de maneras no apropiadas. Este es un hotel familiar, ¿no?

En general, Muy buena...!

Отличный новый отель, дружелюбный персонал, великолепный сервис 24 часа. Всегда есть свободные места у бассейна, на пляже, в ресторане. Понравилось абсолютно все!

Безупречный сервис и внимание к гостям. Единственная сложность, с которой мы столкнулись это то, что в отеле не меняют доллары на песо (только дорожные чеки).

Junto a mi esposa estamos realmente complacidos y sorprendidos por la excelencia del Hotel y particularmente de de su gente. Estamos agradecidos por las atenciones y servicios que nos brindaron desde nuestro ingreso hasta la partida. Excelente servicio

El hotel esta nuevo y en buenas condiciones pero no creo que sea 4 estrellas, la alimentacion solo en un restaurant es buena los demas mal, el servibar pesimo, no tienen vallet parking, no hay alimentos o snack en la piscina, el vino de Baja calidad y no te sirven la marca que ofrecen, para el costo y la calidad que ofrecen no es Lo correcto, nosotros viajamos con Hoteles.com y nunca hems tenido problemas solo esto se refiere al hotel Riu Palace el cual no Lo recomiendo.

al llegar al hotel fui a la recepcion y no encontraban mi reservacion por que cambiaron mis apeidos para reserbar las cenas decian que ya no habia en las dos primeras noches en uno de los restaurant vi una cucaracha la cual no quise decir nada porque si mi muger se enteraba ya no iba a querer comer a se me olvidaba me intentaron loclizar mis parientes y les dijeron que no estaba hospedado ahi por lo de los cambios de apellidos

De lo mejor en comodidad y servicio se los recomiendo a todos

Muy bonito el hotel, sus instalaciones en muy buen estado, el servicio y la atención del personal excelente, la comida riquísima!

PRIMERO, RECOMIENDO AMPLIAMENTE HOTELS.COM, POR SU SERIEDAD EN RESERVAS Y POR CUMPLIR SIEMPRE, MIS COMENTARIO PARA ESTA HOTEL, PUEDO DECIR QUE EL HOTEL ES MUY BONITO, PERO EL SERVICIO QUE PRESTAN ES PESIMO, Y ME REFIERO A LA ATENCION DE RECEPCION, YA QUE HACEN COMENTARIOS DE MUY MAL GUSTO SOBRE LA GENTE DE MEXICO, Y BURLANDOSE DE LA MISMA, YA QUE EN MI ESTANCIA PERDI UNOS TENIS DE MI HIJO, LOS CUALES ERAN NUEVOS, Y PREGUNTE EN RECEPCION , PERO LO UNICO QUE ME DIJERON FUE QUE NO ME PODIAN INFORMAR QUE PASO, YA QUE TENIAN MUCHOS TURISTAS NACIONES, ADEMAS LA COMIDA DEJA MUCHO QUE DESEAR.
