The hotel was a big positive surprise.Very close to railway station - 5 min. to go - and the standard was much higher than I had expected.Clean and comfortable room and a wonderful bayhroom with lot of space.The reception was handle by serviceminded personel and they were good in english. Breakfast was typical Italian and the buffet was for a Scandinavian visitor little defective.

Mix reactions to this hotel. Pros: - Hotel is a solid 4*. - Breakfast is solid. - Reception Desk personnel very good. - Awesome Bed - Near Train Station Negatives: - Wireless Internet did not work in my room. I was changed to a room near the elevators where reception was good. - Bathroom needs improvements. Some wear and tears. - Room´s Carpet was very dirty (My wife walked with her white socks, and turned dirty inmediately). - Several Closed Businesses nearby. Overall a 5 out 10.

If you just need an overnight stop between cities, this hotel is very close to the station, very clean and comfortable. The facilities are limited, for instance no room service; I couldn't turn off the aircon, which was freezing (it kept turning itself back on!); and the rooms are definitely not sound-proof as claimed, but the staff are sweet. I got there too late to enjoy the full breakfast buffet, but it looked pretty decent, and with some notable extras. Starting with you standard eggs, ham, cheese, toast, croissants etc, yoghurts, there was also a yoghurt ice-cream machine, tiramisu and tiny chocolate cream mousses!

The Viale Masini is close to Garibaldi Station and Piazza Republicca, many eateries and bars and a comfortable walking distance from the Duomo, Via Manzoni where all the major fashion names are represented. It gets quiet at night because it is primarily a business/residential area so not much foot traffic. Breakfast at the hotel was very nice. Rooms HUGE by European standards. Staff was fantastik! I would stay there again!

close to train station and the old city. Room was small but hotel is very clean, new , and well furnished. Nice bathroom and shower. free internet. easy walk from train station and across the street from the old city. Highly recommend. Breakfast included , a new contemporary look and feel. Don't waste your money on an expensive hotel.

The hotel was very comfortable, well-maintained, in a welcome modern Italian style, and a good value. Though the immediate environment is unappealing for a few-block radius, the location could hardly be more convenient location--easy walking distance to the historic center and just five minutes on foot from the train station. The staff was very helpful. The original room we were assigned had a problem that couldn't be immediately repaired, and as soon as that was determined, we were offered a comparable room--even though the hotel appeared full. Breakfast was a bit institutional (machine-dispensed coffee, juices and yogurt) but generous and with adequate choice. All in all, staying at 4 Viale Masini was a pleasant experience and very well-priced through Hotels.com.

Recently stayed at the 4 Viale Masini in Bologna and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean and modern and the staff are friendly. It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk to Piazza Maggorie - the walk is very pleasant with lots of shops and bars along the way. It is a few minutes walk from the train station which was ideal for us as we were travelling by train to the next destination. Bologna is a lovely city and ideal for a city break destination. We will definitely return and stay at this hotel again. Thanks for a great stay!!

Room was as good as the picture shows. Very well decorated with modern amenities. My only gripe and for me it was a big issue... the walls were super thin and I can hear full conversation in the adjacent room. They were talking in a normal volume.

The hotel is in a convenient location, but that was our only positive experience with it. The room was dirty upon arrival. Our air conditioner was broken, we notified the staff right away. We were told "they all work this way" even though it was shaking the television virtually off the wall and not cooling the room off at all. It took 30 minutes of trying to talk to the maitenance man before the manager would even talk to us. They told us to go out to dinner and return and it would be fine. It wasn't, in fact when we returned from dinner our room was a toasty 30 degrees celsius. We turned the A/C entirely off but somehow the front desk had a control and turned it on and off repeatedly throughout the night. When we called again to complain we were told no rooms were available to switch too. 2 hours later at midnight we were called back and told we could change rooms. Since we were checking out at 4am a midnight phone call only angered us further. We asked then for a cab to be called for us in the morning. In the morning when we checked out no cab had been called. Ultimately the hotel was much more of a headache than it was worth. We were entirely disatisfied.

Very modern hotel near the Bologna train station. Decent price- great service. Great restaurant.

Easy to get to from train/bus station. Front desk personel very friendly. Spacious and clean rooms. Great selection for breakfast. Will stay here again if we visit Bologna Italy again.

I had to stay here one night due to a change in flight plans for business. It was an absolute treat. The staff was helpful and the room was amazing. The location was great for walking to the center of the city and sight seeing and the train station. My only complaint is that I oonly got to stay there for one night. If I ever have to go back to Bologna I will be staying here again.

The 4 Viale Masini Hotel is a very stylish, modern hotel, and in real life it is every bit as attractive as any photos you are likely to have seen on the internet. Its good points are: It is very convenient for the Main railway station and airport bus terminus, being only a 200-250 metres walk (turn left when you leave the station). The rooms are very nice , and certainly, as far as I could see, very clean. The breakfast was excellent - a large range of items including cereals, fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs, cold meats, breads, yogurts, and even cakes. Very satisfactory! The price was cheap, but when we tried to book it for a second time, the price was much, much higher. This was because there was a trade fair on, which Bologna seems to get a lot of, so choose your time carefully if you are just coming for a holiday The bad points are: The area around the hotel is not very attractive, comprising a large bus station, a few shops, carparks and apartments. Some descriptions say the area is unsalubrious, but we never found that, although the pavement was quite dark. The public areas of the hotel seem a bit under-staffed. Only one person at reception, which sometimes led to queues since the receptionist also seemed to be answering the phone, and the remaining staff were limited. This did not apply to the bedroom staff-they were quite visible and efficient. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, no dressing gowns or slippers - fine if you got a bargain price, but at the sometimes very high prices I would expect better. Its a 10 or 15minute walk to the town centre, but there are plenty of nice shops on the way, so that was not a problem. All in all, this is quite a nice hotel, and its advantages outweigh any drawbacks. I would be happy to stay there again, although I would ask for a room to the rear, since the road outside is always busy, and despite good windows, there is some noise.

A nice modern hotel 15 mins walk from the center of town. The staff were nice, the breakfast was standard fare (eggs, bacon, bread, cereal, coffee). I would have rated this hotel very highly except that my room was so ridiculously small that the only place I could open my bag was on the bed! You could not open an ironing board in the room (so you lay that on the bed too).

I never write reviews, but I had to break my own rule in order to say that this was an outstanding hotel.. .the best of many hotels in our 2 week stay in Italy! The people at the front desk could not have been more helpful, the room was very attractive, and the walk into the center of the city was an easy and pleasant one.

Suited to business traveller or those seeking luxury but a little further out than rhe city centre. A great city and highly recommended

For staying in Bologna, whether for business or pleasure, the 4 Viale Masini was great! It is as described, very modern, right near the train station, and offers many benefits with a very quick walk into the city as well. There is internet on the TV even if you don't have your computer and many other features. Best of all, the breakfast was fantastic, with hot options such as eggs and bacon in addition to many good pastries, fruit salad, and others options. Would certainly stay here again.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful service, wonderful staff - goes above and beyond to be helpful - really really great, very modern boutique hotel with wonderful ammenities. Nice bkfst buffet, very nice bar and location was really great - just very slightly off the beaten path but still walkable to anywhere. Did i mention the service??!! Absolutely wonderful place.

Very clean and the location was perfect.

This hotels biggest advantage is that it is located at the top of via dell Indepenza. So its great for getting in and around the city and its across the street from the train station & bus stations so if you are looking to go travelling, it is an ideal base. The condition of the hotel is very modern and chic. The rooms are quite sufficient and decorated to a reasonably high standard. However they are quite compact and "neat", therefore if you are looking for a room with a walk in wardrobe this might not be the location for you. The breakfast was slightly sparse on content but what was there was of a good standard. The staff were very helpful and were always available and friendly. Despite the hotel advertising a gym & wellness centre, I wouldnt go to this hotel hoping for this as I dont consider their facilities as constituting either or anything remotely close to a broad definition.

Un piccolo appunto riguarda la colazione. Sono andato a colazione verso le 9:00, quindi non proprio tardissimo. I tavoli erano tutti, dico tutti, sporchi perchè non ancora sgombrati. Mi sono dovuto sedere ad un tavolo dove c'era ancora la roba sporca lasciata da chi mi aveva preceduto: tazze, posate, briciole dappertutto. Non c'erano alternative. il buffet era quasi del tutto vuoto, a parte qualche torta devo dire un po' vecchiotta e forse perciò quasi intatta. Tutto il resto mancava, dico sia il necessario per una colazione di tipo continentale (uova, etc) che quello per una colazione alla italiana, con cornetto etc. L'unica cosa che c'era ancora era il succo di arancia. Il cappuccino era discreto. Sono dovuto andare a lavoro senza colazione ... Un po' pochino per un albergo a 4 stelle ... non vi pare?

Flott hotell med hyggelig betjening. Dersom du får tildelt hotellrom i første etasje ut mot gaten, så er det bare til å bytte rom med det samme. Mye trafikkstøy på disse rommene. Frokosten var kjip,selv for italiensk standar å være. Betjeningen fikset privatsjåfør for kun 19£ til flyplassen. Det var helmaks.

Nyrenoverat och fint hotell 2 min promenad från flygbussen/tågstationen. För er som inte varit i Bologna innan rekommenderar jag läget. Det enda negativa är frukosten som inte hade något bröd och ingen juice utan bara saft och kakor till frukost. Rummet super fint och personal hjälpsam och trevlig.

bonne situation par rapport à la gare et au centre ville.Ne vaut pas un 4*,chambre et salle de bain trop petites, petit déjeuner moyen, vue sur un batiment en brique très près de la fenêtre.

1) prenotata camera per fumatori inizialmente comunicato che agenzia non aveva informato 2) nella reception anche sala da pranzo 3)cassaforte in camera non funzionante per pile scariche, evidentemente non controllate a priori 4)frigorifero senza acqua 5)stanza piccola e rumorosa 6)bagno: lavandino privo di tappo e bidet con tappo non funzionante 7)sevizio in camera non previsto(?!) Albergo 4 stelle.....?!!!!! assolutamente da evitare

Hotel agréable qui a subi quand même qques changements en comparaison de vos photos (et pas spécialement en bien). Chambres excessivement bruyantes sur l'avenue avec trafic incessant et gare routière en face! A tel point que j'ai demandé à changer de chambre. En revanche, sur l'arrière, c'est le calme absolu.

Handige ligging, vlakbij het station/ bus naar het vliegveld. Vriendelijk personeel. Even wennen aan het ontbijt, te veel zoete hapjes, miste broodjes en croisants. Het is wel een aanrader.

Schönes modernes Hotel an durchschnittlicher Lage mit schlechtem Service. Saubere grosszügige Zimmer. Frühstücksbuffet=Dessertbuffet.

The hotel is new and comfortable and staff there are helpful. The breakfast is good. It is within 5 mins' walk to the railway station, and 10 mins' walk to the city centre.

Hotel nuevo, precioso, comodo y muy agradable. Al lado de la estación de tren y andando muy cerquita del centro. Me encanto todo el menos una cosa, en el baño la ducha no tenia mampara, al principio me gusto el detalle, pero luego cuando te duchas es incomodisimo porque pones todo perdido de agua. A parte de este detalle, todo genial, recomendable 100%. La atención exquisita, buen ambiente, muy moderno.

Ottimo hotel situato a circa 300mt dalla stazione centrale. Vicinissimo alla centralissima via dell'indipendenza. Si può girare a piedi senza l'uso di macchina/bus/taxi. Unica pecca il rumore proveniente dalla strada molto trafficata e la colazione un po troppo "povera".

Nyere eller nyindrettet 4-stjernet hotel med perfekt komfort og flotte værelser. Rigeligt stort, men italiensk morgenbuffet.

Bonne qualité, bon rapport qualité/prix, chambre petit mais confortable, très propre, personnel accueillant, pas bk de choix pour le petit-dej, l'hotel à 10min a pied de piazza maggiore. a recommander.

Sono stata loro ospite in occasione di un congresso. Posizione logisticamente strategica sia per vivere il centro della città che per accedere alla stazione. Fermate autobus subito fuori. Bancomat all'ingresso Buona accoglienza, ottima la pulizia e la colazione. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo!

Om Du gillar syntetisk frukost, juice blekt som färgat vatten, smutsigt porslin med intorkade rester, brist på pålägg, margarin och personal som mest är intresserad av att duka undan istället för att ge service till sina hotellgäster är detta hotellet för Dig.

Das Hotel ist modern, sauber und liegt sehr zentral-leider sind die Zimmer auf die Viale masini sehr,sehr laut.

Velfungerende hotel tæt på Station og lufthavn. Vi var med egen bil, så der er også privat parkering 50 m fra hotellet. Gåafstand - 1.000m til centrum. Velfungerende lyse værelser, hyggelig lille bar. "Tutte bene a Bologna"

Todella positiivinen kokemus. Hotelli oli tyylikäs, huoneet tilavia ja siistejä. Aamiainen runsas ja maittava. Hotellin henkilökunta oli aina autavainen ja ystävällinen, vaikka kaikilla vastaanotossa ei englanti täysin ollutkaan hallussa. Aina löytyi takahuoneesta joku kielitaitoinen hätiin. Hotelli järjesti nopeasti taksin ja antoi ohjeet mihin mennä kun piti käydä sairaalassa. Silitysrauta ja -lauta järjestyi huoneeseen pienen odotuksen jälkeen sitä tarvittaessa. Teimme Bolognasta parin päivän matkoja muualle Italiaan ja aina saimme jättää matkalaukkumme hotelliin säilöön veloituksetta. Kaikin puolin mukava hotelli. Sijainti on rautatieaseman lähellä ja lentokentältä oli helppo tulla lentokenttäbussilla rautatieasemalle ja siitä kävellä hotelliin. Keskustaan oli jonkin verran kävelymatkaa, mutta ostoskatu Indipendenzan katettuja jalkakäytäviä kulkien etäisyys ei ollut ongelma.

Mi sono trovata benissimo. Hotel molto confortevole e in una posizione comoda da raggiungere per chi arriva in treno. Rapporto qualità prezzo veramente eccellente.
