This is not the most selubrious of accommodation, but it is clean and comfortable, and for a city centre location remarkably quiet. The location is good for anyone who wants to ecplore on foot, being minutes awayfrom the main Liverpool shopping areas, buth cathedrals, Lime Street station and walkable to Albert Dock etc. (Providing you are reasonably fit). The apartments are close to the University so a wide array of economical food outlets and good pubs. Generally a good base for a City break if you are on a budget.

the only problem is the very dark lighting conditions in both the bathroom and bedroom otherwise a good time and i have already rebooked for next time

Our only problem was that we had arranged the room as a meeting place for a few friends before a night out. The reception staff were extremely jobsworthy and would not let any non residents in even for a few minutes. This took the edge off of what would have otherwise been a lovely place to stay.

I arrived at Mount Pleasant Appartments and the staff on duty were very pleasant. They went out of their way to accommodate us in the right room. Everything seemed fine on first look, but after the first night (I couldn't sleep on the rock hard bed) I eneded up sleeping the rest of the week on the sofa in the living room, The washer/dryer washed the clothes but instead of going directly onto the dryer mode it stopped just before spinning and if I was out it meant the clothes lying in a drum of water until it was moved to the spin cycle, once it was on the spin cycle it went directly on to dry the clothes but even this had to be put on twice to leave the clothes dry. There wasn't a hoover or even a brush and shovel that you could brush up crumbs. Make sure you bring a teatowel for drying your dishes as these are not supplied. We had terrible problems with hot water, when we wanted to shouwer in the morning there wasn't any especially if you had the washing machine on so we had cold showers evety morning. I do think this was a one of problem as I have stayed at all of the Stay Liverpool Appartments and never had these problems before so I would stay again definitely as they are in very convenient location to tthe City Centre and to the Liverpool University.

Even though I stayed for only a night, I find the apartment to be very comfortable for a family of 3 or 4. It's also conveniently located within walking distance to the Liverpool Lime station, Liverpool 1 shopping malls and Chinatown.

Location is good, right in the city centre, and directly above a tesco, all seems safe enough. Rooms were dodgey. Put into a room with broken radiators, no iron or ironing board and double beds that were single beds pushed together. To top it all off we had to move after we had unpacked because the shower wasnt working. Very annoying.

Me and my friends stayed here for my 21st and arrived to find the hotel had upgraded us to the penthouse free of charge!! We couldn't believe it for how little we had paid. The apartments are really nice and are a couple of minutes walk from the nightlife! (even in heels!)

These are apartments that did not sell for residential so someone is selling them as all-suite serviced apartments. A good solution but they know nothing of hospitality and the flats are in a very poor state. Everything in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc is broken and/or dirty. The welcome on the front desk was nowhere to be seen the skid mark in the uncleaned toilet on arrival said everything about this property. For the same money there is much nicer in Liverpool.

Great place and value, customer service was amazing.

We had some issues with the apartment but the staff where very helpfull.

apartment had everything need for a comfortable stay. plenty of people staying but no noise from other guests. central location for shops, pubs, cavern club and the albert docks etc, highly recommended!!

Great unit but shame about the meagre service. Rooms were not tidied during our 4night stay and we when I asked for fresh towels as had used 2 to soak the flooded bathroom (as the shower glass didn't close properly) was told we were to wash them ourselves. Hmm. Few improvements required to service buut definitely good unit.

They gave me keys of somebody else room while people were outside the apartments. It was very confusing. When we tried to contact the manager, no staff was there at all. Finally we called to some number on the wall to resolve the situation. Nobody even tried to apologise. Btw some of the equipment in the bathroom weren't working. Worst experience ever. I will never go for this kind of hotel again. Nobody takes responsibility for anything.

This apartment was HUGE! It's right in downtown Liverpool with a market right outside the door. That being said, it is a good thing the market is so close, as the hotel provides nothing--no toiletries, no paper towels for the kitchen, no dish soap for the sink, NO TOILET PAPER! But, ignoring those deficiencies, it was comfortable and convenient. Just be prepared to buy necessities!

Excellent location, 5 mins walk from the city centre. Tesco Express next door so extremely convenient. Comfortable, spacious apartments close to amenities and local attractions. Only complaint was there were a few light bulbs missing in the apartments and not enough pillows! Very welcoming staff on reception, it would have just been good to have been made aware of the security deposit required at the time of booking.

Friendly check in.apts spacious..blinds need replacing!!odd smell..mount pleasent is a very central place to stay.central and lime st stations are within minutes of the apts...i much prefered them to a hotel..a few tweaks could make them better but id still pick them over alot of hotels.also has a tesco express downstairs.

Steer weel clear of this place!Bad maintainace on the place,very noisy ALL night with partygoers coming back with little disregard of other guests and nothing gets done.Massive mistake if you book this HOLE!!!!

Hotel was difficult to find at night. Once there the reception was unmanned. Contact was made by phone with person who gave passcodes to access room key and codes for electronic door locks to the appartment building. These did not work. The rooms were clean but well worn - doors missing off kitchen cupboards, venetian blinds missing / destroyed, and two pictures in the living room kept falling off the walls. There was insufficient hot water for three showers in the morning. One star at best.

After finally finding the location, it was late at night. Doors were locked and we had to call a phone# to call for access code and code to get room key out of safe/locker. When finally getting in we were pleased how spacious the apartment was (family of 5), however the floor in living room felt dirty and sticky. The blinds in all rooms were bent missing, broken and looked like someone tried to tear them down. No toiletries (we had brought our own anyway). Overall no personal assistance to ask questions about area, tourists info etc...access to internet in lobby was a fee, where as all others were free. At night the location was more of a party atmosphere and very loud outside and inside the halls. One window in living room didn't lock either. Probably wouldn't stay here again if we didnt have to.

Check-in process was an over the phone affair, which was new to me, but not a problem in the end. They'd booked us near or in the Liver Building location by mistake but fortunately they had one spare apartment at Mount Pleasant which again fortunately was a two bedroom apartment. Me and the receptionist played a little game of 'open the box' in a bid to locate a room key but we found a key in the 4th box in the end (you'll know what I mean if you go!). All good fun! The apartment was clean and tidy (if you don't count the BLINDS which I'll come to shortly) with a balcony which curried favour with the smoker amongst us. However the two rooms only had single beds in them which wasn't exactly perfect for a romantic night away. We had no problems with noise however the main problem were the BLINDS which were in a sorry and pathetic, mostly if not all in a non-working state - leading to problems with privacy when it came to getting changed and other, ahem, bedroom activities. There was also no toilet paper which we weren't sure was intentional or not - a pretty basic requirement I would have thought. Kitchen-wise it was pretty good with plenty of utensils and pans etc - however I would recommend you bring some Fairy, a scourer and a tea-towel or Dishwasher powder. The main things to recommend these apartments is the size and space, proximity to the city centre, and the fact there's a Tesco Express just downstairs. If I had a family I'd definitely choose one of these over a hotel room. All in all pretty good, but for goodness sake GET SOME NEW BLINDS!!!!!!!!

first time have tried this! thought it was great and would recommend it.. very good for groups and families... very good value for your money....very near Liverpool one and the docks... again very good will be staying again....

The 24-hour lobby personnel consisted of a phone number tacked to the outside wall of the building with a phone number listed. Of course, in the pouring rain we didn't exactly look for something like that. Took 15 minutes to find another guest to tell us about it. The phone rang for no less than 20 minutes before someone answered and gave us a code number to key into a lock box to get our room key. When we finally got to the room it had not been cleaned from the previous tenant. Dirty towels, unmade beds, a bag of dirty clothing. Back down to the lobby, another 20 minutes ring session before the phone is answered and a new room assigned. At least the new room was clean. However, the washer/dryer was a combination unit and did not work properly. Don't count on using it, as we did. The units had great potential...but this place seems to be run by 10 year old boys.

Three of us were sharing an apartment and we discovered that the shower wasn't working. We asked about getting a repair man out but was told 'If it was me, I'd just have a bath.' Whilst being informed no maintenance man was available (I'm sure there would have been for a flood). So for our entire stay it was baths only but only enough hot water for a couple a day, not enough for three people. They said a 'manager' would take and look, never did, and the 'manager' wasn't around at check-out. Got the impression they couldn't be bothered and had no intention of fixing it, dare say it's still broken now!

go to liverpool a few times per year, Usually stay in the marriott but as there was 3 adults its not easy to find somewhere reasonabaly prices. very pleased with the apartments. my only complaint was that they had nowhere to hold our luggage as our flight was not til late that night and we had to check out at 11am. they said we could go to their other accomadation place to leave our bags and we had to get a taxi.

This is the best apartment we have been in, very spacious and all furniture and whitegoods in new condition. The only two issues we would complain about was the rubber tiles were lifting in the bathroom, and the ease of finding the apartments as parking and registering was a problem. I would suggest staying here, but make sure you ring before you get there and get all the details for the different codes to get in the building and the letter box with the key as well as the location of the security parking and how to get into it.

You are best reserving parking as spaces are limited. Lady on reception was lovely, very helpful. we were upgraded to a two bedroom which was brilliant. Admittedly the apartment was a little tired but this was well compensated for by the space and kitchen facilities. The Tesco Extra shop downstairs is a great bonus. There were times when there was not always someone at reception and you had to phone another number but for us everything was fine. Would definitely use these apartments again.

no indication of self check in. staff less than helpful. turned up for check in @ 14:30pm and the room was still being cleaned and we were asked to come back in 1 hour. There were only 3 forks but there were 4 people staying. no tv wires. Shower didn't work and boiler was useless. 24 hr reception in description but that was a lie. The beds were comfy and the living area was comfortable. Cheap but not cheerful.

The quality of the apartment was much better than I expected, it was modern and spacious and accomodated us very well. It was the perfect way to arrive into liverpool and wind-down in style. The tesco right downstairs meant we could get some food and enjoy eating it comfortably looking out over the balcony at the view. Because there was a few of us, it was much better than your conventional hotel, apartahotels are the way forward!

Will not be going back to Mount Pleasant again was over on business and when i booked it said internet access but it did not work.The blinds in the apt were in tatters .Over all i lost out an a lot of work as i had to go out to get access to the internet

I was slightly nervous on arriving, following reading some of the reviews regarding cleanliness and noise. Those reviews could not have been further from the truth for me. I arrived and the check-in process was efficient and uncomplicated. My apartment was on the 3rd floor, a one bedroom flat with a lovely kitchen - living room area and balcony. It was spotless, and very tastefully decorated, with plenty of towels and kitchen facilities. I had no problems with noise at all, and was able to spend a very pleasant week there, during a very stressful work conference. It definitely made the whole week much more manageable and it was a relief to come back to the haven of the apartment. Espcially convenient as it was above Tescos, so no problem with buying dinner. I would highly recommend this apartment block for anyone visiting Liverpool, 5 minutes from Lime St Station, incredible value for money, and overall a very nice enviroment to stay. Will recommend it to all friends and colleagues without hesitation.

The hotel was good but the kitchen could have been cleaner didn't feel i was able to use it untill i cleaned it. Gtreat car park. The noise level from other guests was rather loud and every night we were woken up by guests going back to there rooms not so good when you have kids with you and they are trying to sleep. The reception has only someone on at the weekends so you are left to to check out by yourself. If you have a problam then i had no idea of where to get help( we had no hot water one afternoon and only after having to check the timer the clock was not set at the right time so i had to reset it to allow us to get hot water in the afternoon. Yes i would still come back to it as we were not in it much it was really just some where to sleep.

The apartment was really good. Very spacious, clean and tidy, it has all you need, the kitchen was in perfect conditions, bathroom as well. The rooms clean and tidy. the location is perfect. It has self check in and out which i find really good. I would 100% recomend it

location was perfect it was right in middle of town.the only fault i had was that there was not anyone at reception at all times but i was informed of that before i got there and if you got locked out you only had to ring there other hotel up the road to get code for front door . the rooms had everything required and all mod cons in kitchen so you could shop in tesco next door and cook if you wanted to.We were on top floor and the first night it sounded like birds walking on roof and it hard to sleep but second night was fine.

Very much enjoyed our stay. The apartments are big and very well equiped. You could sleep 6 quite easy. 5 minute walk to all the main bars. very good value and They offer safe parking.

There was no reception and it is very difficult to connect them by phone. The room and apartment is not bad compared to the price.

place needs repainting and a better induction to the apartment.

The check-in procedure is a somewhat bizarre, conducted by phone, so is very difficult for those who have limited English and/or no mobile phone. However, once we eventually managed to retrieve the key to the apartment, we were pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness and also by how well-equipped it was. We would have benefited from some instructions for the TV (couldn't get the terrestrial channels!), and also for the dish washer. Wi-fi didn't work for the whole time we were there. Beds were comfortable, and the double-glazing kept out what little noise there was from the nearby street. Having the Tesco Metro store on the ground floor was a real bonus, and the apartments were ideally placed to visit a wide variety of Liverpool's many attractions. Would certainly recommend the apartments as a value-for-money base in which to stay, but the check-in procedure has to to improved!

Whilst the apartments themselves were reasonably clean the noise from other guests and the cleaner has put me off returning. We woken up every morning my the cleaner slamming the doors of the apartments she was cleaning - olbviously not happy with her job! A group on 'lads' arrived on the Fri and the noise they were making forced us to check out early. When mentioned to Reception there was no asisstance offered or an apology, in fact he was pretty useless. The apartment was to be part of a birthday surprise but to be honest we would have been better staying at home.

The fact that this was a flat made it more comfortable than the average hotel room, and it represented good value for money. It could have been cleaner (though I understand there were staff shortages) and the provision of the flat could have been better thought out - lamps in the living room perhaps, and a corkscrew. Otherwise it was fine and I'd go back. It was very well positioned in the centre of town.

Woudl definitely go back to the apartments, very spacious and clean. Only a short walk to the centre and nightlife.

The hotel was everything we had expected, the only thjing that let it down was the rudeness of the receptionist on checking in
