Close to Yankee Stadium. Staff at Hotel were excellent and very helpful. Just a heads up, the taxi drivers will definitely try to take advantage of people if looking to get a cab after the game back to hotel. It should cost $7 and is 0.9 miles away!!! Don't let them fool you! It's not a bad walk, except once you turn off of 161 the neighborhood is very shady and industrial-esque. Will stay again for the next game we see at home!

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. We were in town for the Tigers @ Yankees series. We could walk to the stadium in 20 minutes. We arrived early and they let us check in 3 hours before the 3pm check in time. Parking was free all weekend. The lot is small so you may need to get to the hotel early to get a parking spot. Its around a $30-$35 cab ride to times square. We had a great stay here. Would definitely stay again!

Me and my husband travel frequently to Bronx New York and we have found this location to be very convenient affordable clean and very friendly and courteous staff we will definately rebook this location this was our second hotel stay at this location we give this location a 5 Star rate

This hotel is not in a great area, but the hotel itself was clean and the staff was excellent.

Had tickets to a show at the United Palace Theater in Washington Heights - needed a place to crash that was a short cab ride away and affordable. That's just what we got. Room was small - a bed, desk, armoire and bathroom. But no complaints - we weren't there for luxury or space, just a crash pad. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The neighborhood was not one I would've gone walking around in but the hotel called us a car service for our show and it was there in two minutes (they'd been touting this upon our asking for a cab #.) A short cab ride to Yankee Stadium and to our venue. Would definitely stay again and may even go to a Yankee game knowing we'd have a place to stay that'll get the job done. If you are a non-smoker, request a non smoking room. I was impartial being a smoker, but our smoking room stunk (I am smoker but do not smoke in my home.) We dealt with it, but if this is an issue for you (smoker or non) than make sure you specify. Overall I recommend this hotel as a convenient, well priced place to stay if this an area where you have plans nearby. =)

The place smelled like sweat and cigarette smoke, especially when the AC started running, pillows and bed sheets, too. Disgusting! Very noisy. Service was good though. The neighborhood was kind of scary, but then again, it's the Bronx.

We were pleasantly suprised by this hotel- we were a bit nervous about the location, but we walked both ways to a night Yankees game and we felt very safe. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, Room was fine, a bit tired, but clean. The mattress was a bit lumpy, but overall we were happy. Would definitely return next season!

This hotel has extremely attentive staff. It's clean comfy and has good vibes. The surrounding neighborhood is a different story. I personally drove anywhere that i needed to go, cause i was a little fearfull for my well being. Other than that....great place to stay!

Near Yankee Stadium and northern Manhattan. Rate wasn't bad but the room smelled, carpet stained, etc. Houskeeping didn't even make up the bed properly. Just not very nice but I guess you could stomach it for a night or two.

Staff was very nice. Had an issue with the tv and hair dryer and staff took care of it quickly and were friendly.

This stay was an incredible value, short cab ride to desired areas, kind staff in a clean building. The area seemed safe enough, though not pretty, it's surrounded by a junk yard and repair shop but I didn't stay for the sights. Bagels/cereal in the AM was a plus too. If you want to save some money in NY this is an excellent option.

Not that close to Yankee Stadium or the subway, but they had a car service that was not too expensive. Overall, a very nice time and good accomodations.

They were great. We were promised a 2 bed room by an online reservation and they did not have any available. They worked hard to find a place for three adults to be comfortable They were very kind to us. They would get cabs when needed and were always very polite. It was within walking distance to the Yankee Stadium.

The room was clean and a decent size. The breakfast was lacking however....the 2nd day they were out of about everything the two times we tried to go down to eat so we had to go elsewhere for food. Also, the neighborhood walking to/from the Yankees stadium was a bit scary.

It is convenient to the Yankees game, and it is a functional hotel and room. Breakfast was okay, the airconditioning kicked butt, the TV worked, the bed was comfortable. The comforter had cigarette burns in it, but it did nothing to affect is comfort or function. If you are going to a Yankees game it is very convenient.

This hotel was exactly what I was looking for - a cheap and clean place to stay and be able to walk to Yankee Stadium for a couple of games.

I wanted to take in Friday/Saturday Yankee games and this hotel was the closest option....and it worked out GREAT! I don't know where any of the negative reviews for this place came from, but they were wrong in most ways. We had a very clean room with great air conditioning and a very nice king bed. Sure the neighborhood is not the best and the location is a little odd, but it certainly served the intended purpose and beyond. Only a 20 minute walk (well, 30 minutes in the extremely hot weather) to Yankee Stadium. As long as you stay on the two main streets to get to and from the stadium, the walk is fine...and I doubt there would be any problems. Still, better to walk with someone just in case. Parking is sparse at the hotel, so plan on getting there as early as possible. The manager allowed us to keep our car parked there after we checked out while we attended the Saturday game. This was obviously very kind and extremely helpful. Complimentary breakfast was fine and typical of most hotels that offer this (bagels, muffins, cereals, fruit, coffee, juice, etc). Totally acceptable. I surely would stay here again to take in multiple Yankee games and I encourage others to do the same.

the staff was very friendly, the room was clean, it is a $7 cab ride to Yankee stadium, we thought it was to far to walk. they have a parking lot, would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very nice for what we wanted. $7.00 cab ride to Yankee stadium. Our car was safe. The entire area is ran down. We would stay again for a ball game.

Hotel was nice and the room was clean so it's a great choice if you are attending a Yankee game. Just keep in mind that you are in the South Bronx which they may call "A Developing Neighborhood" but actually just means that it is the ghetto.

We booked through hotel.com with a request for an hotel with a pool and a large size room. We were told we were getting it and got neither. It's too bad because the personnel (reception clerk, maids, hotel manager were totally friendly and accomodating.

I reserved the king room days in advance however when I arrived I was sent to a standard room. That's unacceptable. When I called the front desk to tell them that I must have been assigned to the wrong room I was told there was no availability of the room I reserved need I remind u I reserved the room says in advance. I will never stay there again. Waste of my money I didn't get what I paid for.

Hotel is good but access if you're using public transit is a pain. Have to use Subway and Bus to get to location. If you have a car there is parking

First, although the hotel claims to be "Yankee Stadium", it's not all that close. If your a frequent visitor to NY, and your comfortable with the surroundings, it's certainly within walking distance. Just go down 161st to Park St, turn left and walk to the corner of Park and Brook Ave, the hotel is right in that intersection. The hotel itself was pleasant, seemed to be recently remodeled. The commuter train tracks are very close, so be prepared for some 24 hour train noise if you get a room on that side. Didn't bother me that bad, but you can certainly hear them.

I am originally from NY and when I saw Yankee Stadium, I knew nothing nice was in that area but the ball field but it was a cheap hotel and available for our last minute plans. The hotel is not centrally located but a cheap and quick cab ride can get you to most areas. The local shopping mall is not to be visited at late hours, particularly alone. As for the hotel, it looked decent enough from the outside and is your typically 2 star hotel/motel inside. The sheets were clean but when we checked in the Hotel Manager was dealing with a patron who complained of having URINE on her comforter. We returned from a night out at about 4am and the room next to us sounded like they were shooting a porno, seriously. Again, we knew what we were getting into so we werent too shocked. All and all for the 20 or so hours we were in NYC the hotel served a purpose but i'd advise ANYONE with a family to not check in here.

Very nice stay. The Continental Breakfast was a little suspect, but all in all, a very nice place in the center of the Bronx. It's a very clean, newer Hotel. The staff was nice, including housekeeping. I know staying in the Bronx sounds scary...hey I was afraid. As soon as I got to my room, all fears disappeared and I had a good weeks stay.

Noise from the trains outside. people in the next room fighting. hallway smelled like pot, had to move one of our rooms due to the smell of pot.

Although the room was fine, and the initial check-in staff was cordial, other front desk staff were rude and refused to be helpful when I requested regular coffee for the room (only decaf packets were provided). For the price, I wasn't expecting it to be in a great neighborhood and it is reasonably convenient to Bronx attractions/areas, but the rudeness of some of the staff wasn't necessary. There are probably better choices in the area.

IF you can handle the Bronx, this Days Inn is a good choice for a room. Good quality, comfort, and not a "dive". Country kid from mid west was culture shocked about the environment, but hotel was good.

I had an interview at Einstein-Montefiore and chose to stay near the hospital in the Bronx. I guess you could take a cue at the condition of the neighborhood by the plexiglass separating the receptionist from the lobby. In all, the receptionist and service was absolutely wonderful. Food is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, so I decided to grub hub it instead. The hotel room was updated recently with an HD TV and very clean with clean sheets. My only complaint is that while the bathroom was cleaned, it was clear that they did not really clean the toilet very well. There was lots of hair in the areas most commonly missed, ie right behind the toilet cover. I would recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay for one night.

Frienly staff.y mom turned 90 so I had to takr cabs and the train to see her.Plus I had to go to Port Chester to see a nursing Home They Helped me do it all.Tell everyone I said thank you Also had wonderful Dreakfat before I left, Thps hotel shoul d be a four star hotel dont be afaid to come to the Bronx I worked just a couple of Blocks awawy.Thank you thank you thank you I want to come back and see a Yankee game

The bus stop is across the street and you can go any where to subway sta. Times square is a 15 minute ride. We even took the E train to the air rail, to the JFK airport, was a snap. I will definitely return and also tell all my friends. the place was super clean, well furnished and the service by all of the staff was the best

felt like a stranger! As I was checking in I noticed the security guard sitting in the lounge. I kindly asked him if he was going to be on duty all night as my 2011 Cadillac sat wimpering in the South Bronx parking lot. The security guard simply stared at me menacingly. I was very taken back. I asked again, "Will you be on duty for the rest of the night?" Still the stare. He stood up and walked past me. I thought I had made a mistake and he was a soldier in the Dominican drug cartel and I mistook him for a security guard. As he walked by and I prepared to sling my sampsonite towards his head, he grumbled at me, "Momma taught me not to talk to strangers." I looked at the clerk behind the bullet proof glass. Although I was sure that whatever he was paid to be on duty wasn't worth dealing with all the problems the local gentry might afford him that night, I was reminded that my mother taught me that customer satisfaction and courtesy was king. I guess not in the South Bronx where I was told I was a stranger and treated rudely. Welcome home, right?
