Hotel Aniene - روما

Although we only stayed one night it worked perfectly for my husband two teenage sons and I. We had two rooms and the only trouble we had was finding the hotel as it is outside of Rome, which is what we wanted. We had a rental car and parking was no problem. The buffet breakfast was a hit, everything was fresh and plentiful. No complaints, hot showers with lots of pressure and comfy beds

The hotel was located in nice quiet area away from the touristic crowds. Very ok breakfast, nice hotel staff who gave good tips about the local transportation. The night bus system also worked to Piazza Sempione (= good place to say if you take taxis to hotel) , which is near the location, 100m. Good restaurants nearby. Recommended.

It's a very nice hotel but the location is far from the attraction site.Some of the taxi driver can't find the hotel even they are around the neigborhood.It cost approximate 20 Euro one way from city center to the hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Aniene. The hotel is fine, but the rooms are quite small. Rooms were clean with lots of hot water. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good. Complimentary WiFi was nice. We relied on public transportation, and found the hotel to be too far from the sights for our liking. The bus ride to the main metro station was about 25 minutes.

Hotel staff is nice and very helpful. Breakfast is nicely laid out. Hotel is cheaply modern reminding me of a room in an Ikea catalog. Only issue was the all wooden floors and thin walls made it so you could here the comings and going of everyone. Then again, I woke up officially at 3 PM due to the black out shades and jet lag, so maybe I had no right to be irritated by people going about daily business at noon! Oh - one other harp is that the grout was not as clean as it could be in the shower. Recommend Roma Pass! Commute via bus (36 or 90 - 10-15 minutes) then train (Roma station) to all attractions, but not too bad except if you have a lot of luggage. Avoid traveling during peak traffic times because buses become standing room only for about a 30-40 minute ride. You do have to walk down one long block to get to the hotel from the bus stop. Bus stop is in a high traffic plaza which stores, banks, restaurants and a church that feel completely safe and you can purchase your bus ticket there. Immediate area of hotel felt safer during the day than at night (single female traveling alone), but I did walk around to a local restaurant at night for a late dinner.) I may try to stay in walking distance of a train station if I found a decent rate for a comparable hotel on my next visit, but would not completely rule out staying there again.

The hotel claims to be close to Villa Borghese, which is the reason why we chose it in the first place. "close" turns out to be a 25 min bus ride plus 10 minute walk. Small but clean and overall friendly room with mold in the bathroom inside the shower and ants on the floor. Breakfast was not much better: cold scrambled eggs, that were swimming in water, sausage with dry rims. Overall, it didn't look too fresh. As all the servants were eating Croissants the whole time, I am guessing that those were ok. Staff was friendly. After this one night stay we moved to our central and much cheaper B&B, the rooms there are almost twice the size, no mold, fresh food. So no recommendation for Aniene

If you are looking for a good relation between cost and comfort it is a good choice. The hotel is new, the attendants are courteous and well trained, and location is convenient, despite you are around 20,00 euros taxi ride from TERMINI Central Station (Subway, Train, Bus, Sightseeing Buses, etc), once you have more economic options as 1,00 euro of Bus 84 Line (ex). At Termini you can reach everything, including Top 10 Points (Coliseu, S.Peter, etc).

This hotel was okay. You have to take a bus to and from downtown Rome, and although the bus stop is nearby the hotel, it takes about 25 minutes to get back and from the train station, and then you have to take a train to downtown Rome. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is complimentary! Room was clean and there is a safe for your valuables. The hallways and upkeep inside the hotel could be better. Internet and wifi is available. Can buy bus/metro tickets from hotel directly instead of having to go to a Tabacco shop. The hotel isn't located in the best of neighbourhoods. If I were to go back to Rome, I would probably stay at a hotel closer to the train station.

As other reviews have mentioned, this hotel is quite a bit off the beaten track but as long as you can deal with that, it is worth the trip. We were driving so the drive to Roma central was only about 10 minutes. We did decide one afternoon to take the bus and agree that it only takes about 20 minutes with the 84 to get to Termini BUT be prepared for crowded buses. Hotel itself is super. Rooms are a bit on the small side but clean and newer looking. Bed not too hard - linens crisp and pristine - pillows perfect. TV had one English channel so that was nice. Shower had some minor fungus issues but, again, you're paying quite a reasonable price for a 4-star hotel. Terrific breakfast including the standard continental fare PLUS bacon and eggs. Desk staff were all awesome. Thanks to the staff at Hotel Aniene - keep up the good work.

I went with my 9 month old son. I wouldn't recommend staying here with a baby. ;) But, then again, going to Rome with a baby is never going to be an easy feat no matter where you stay! It was very cramped with the baby cot in the room with us. It would have been a LOT nicer to stay a little closer to the center, but if you aren't planning on going back and forth from your hotel much, then it's a fine location. Especially if you will be there for a little bit longer. The staff was very nice, but I had to ask them 3-4 times for the baby cot to be set up, even though I had emailed in advance. So my son was up 2 hours later than he should have been. They all speak excellent english. The hotel claims the walls are sound-proof, but I could hear everything my neighbors said and did, especially from the bathroom. The breakfast was amazing. Overall, it was a good hotel. I enjoyed my stay. Then again, pre-baby I always stayed in hostels, so I think every hotel is a bit luxuries!

It does take about 25 minutes by bus to the main (termini) train station, but from there you can go anywhere. There are some shops and restaurants in the area, but if you are in Rome during the day, it is a good idea to eat there before coming back to the hotel. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is above average - bacon and eggs plus the normal continental breakfast items. You won't regret the stay here.

We booked the hotel based on other reviews saying it was in the outskirts of Rome & that it was easy to catch the bus to the city center. It was on the outskirts but it is not quiet nor the neighborhood pretty & there is very little accessible by foot. The busses and trains in Rome are NOT pleasant to ride and we dreaded it everyday. The hotel itself was adequate. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom small. The room needed painting. The breakfast & hotel staff were really great!

It is located outside of the city centre of Rome but this also means that the food in the area is rather cheap and good. There is also wireless access for all rooms, though it can be intermittent at times. The staff were also very attentive, especially the gentleman from the Philippines.

I booked this hotel because after reading the other reviews, it seemed like the hotel was just a stone's throw away from the city center. Depending on the bus you take to and from Station Temini, the ride could take anywhere from 15-30 minutes. And you should be prepared to stand the entire time on a very crowded bus. Such is city life... As this hotel is farther out from the main tourist area, I found that most people in the shops could not understand English, or my feeble attempts at Italian. And there weren't too many options for places to eat around the hotel, so it's best to grab a meal in the central part of the city before you head back to the hotel. I was surprised at the end of my stay that I had to pay an extra 3 EUR a night for the Rome city tax, and I had to pay the rate for a four/five star hotel.

...OK so we're not used to (I'm not used to) single size rooms on this side of the globe) so I was stunned by how small the room was, but I was told to expect that from Europe. The modern decor & cleanliness made me forget that the room was small (and I'm a neat freak), instead it was like I was staying with relatives and had my own room. Staff was GREAT all around (front desk, house keeping, breakfast room) & helpful! Breakfast was good also. Everywhere I had to go, I was just one bus ride away so it worked out well for me. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is modern looking and has a very attentive and friendly staff. While the hotel is not in the center of the city. a rapid busline (90) takes you to the Termini station in about 20 minutes, and buses go every 15 minutes if not more frequent. The area surrounding the hotel is not super, but you can find a couple of restaurants if necessary. The breakfast included was reasonable to good.

Malfunction of water heater made one morning rough but overall good experience was good. It is not close to downtown, but the bus stop is right across street and bus ride is tolerable.

This hotel worked great for our stay, we started each day with a quick bus ride to the center of Rome. We enjoyed not being in the tourist area (Termini), the people in the neighborhood were nice and we didn't feel like we were lambs to the slaughter in the tourist areas. It's very simple to catch the 90 bus to Termini, from there you can get to anything you want. I liked that we didn't have to pay the steep prices that the center of the city requires. I loved the bakery right down the street, I also found the gelatto place that's a few blocks away, that was great! There was a bus strike one day we were there which made things a little more difficult, but everything else worked out great. The breakfast was good, the staff was nice and more than willing to work with us and help with anything. I loved Ostia Antica and the Priscilla Catacombs, not the typical tourist spots, but both were great!

This is a 2 - 3 year old hotel, located in a residential neighborhood. We (my wife, daughter, and I) chose it because of the reviews we had read, and our stay at the hotel was all that we would want it to be. We booked a triple room, which contained a king size bed and single bed. We liked the fact that most of the people staying there were from Italy or other European countries, and represented a diverse group of nationalities and spoken languages. When compared to the other hotels we considered, Hotel Aniene provides a very nice and modern room, good selection of breakfast items (including scrambled eggs and ham) at a price that was considerably lower than hotels located in the center of Rome. At a cost of 2 Euros per person per day for round trip transportation by bus to the center of Rome, and about 25 minutes of our time on the bus each way, Hotel Aniene is a good hotel to consider if you would like to save some money on your room rate that can be applied to meals and other expenses during your trip. We enjoyed the use of the bus system, since it provided a closer sense of what a commute is like in Rome for the average individual. When riding the bus, people were very helpful in answering our questions, and pointing us in the right direction. If you are the type of traveler that needs to return to your hotel during the course of the day, Hotel Aniene would not be the place to stay. In our case, we would leave around 9:00am - 9:30am each morning, and return in the evening after a full day of sightseeing in Rome. The hotel staff is very attentive and helpful. Many spoke English, and they were extremely helpful when asked questions. With about 50 rooms in the hotel, we liked the fact it was easy to find a table for breakfast, or talk to the receptionist, without having to wait as you often do in a larger hotel. We will definitely consider staying at this hotel again in the future.

I went to Rome with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. It is a great hotel on the outskirts of Rome, and away from all the city chaos. It takes just 20 min to reach Termini station and the bus frequency is every 10 min. Very nice and comfortable hotel per European standards, and for the price it is a slamdunk. The hotel staff is extremely courteous and speaks English. The breakfast was nice and filling. The room they gave me had a very big balcony (almost the size of the room itself) overlooking the road. The beds were clean and comfortable and the wireless internet works just fine. The neighborhood is not noisy and is a safe location. The hotel staff was helpful with travel tips and suggesting food options nearby. All in all, it is a great hotel and I was extremely satisfied.

I stayed 2 nights in a single room and enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was continental buffet with scrambled eggs and bacon.....excellent quality! The staff were extremely helpful. They did everything they could to help me contact the Bancomat that had swallowed my card and to call my UK bank.

Nice modern hotel, good breakfast, rooms a liitle bit small but still alright, friendly staff, in the suburbs of Rome, 30 min to the center with bus, parking lots in the street available. 3 houses nearby is a very good restaurant.

Small hotel on the outskirts of Paris main historical sites. Very nice, clean with a very comfortable room. A free breakfast buffet was available and was delicious. A awesome bathroom with a few unique features. Good place to stay for couples. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would stay there again for sure. Highly recommended.

This hotel location was easy to get to by train/bus from FCO and the local bus service was very convienient to get anywhere quickly. Service was great, staff was friendly, room was clean and quiet, and the price was right. Overall, a great experience and would repeat!

I very much enjoyed my stay at Hotel Aniene. My room was clean and very comfortable and sizable, even for U.S. standards. It's a chic, clean, modern hotel that's close to the 90 bus lines which take you quickly to the Termini bus/train station--making traveling to major tourists sites pretty easy. I was travelling alone & it only took me a day to figure out how to get around Rome--which can be a real pain if you don't have people giving you clear advice. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional--speaking English and giving me easy-to-follow directions and advice. They even held my bags for me in the office on my last day there after checkout. Breakfast was good, I will most definitely stay here again if I find myself in Rome in the future. Be aware that you are not close to the city center, though, with this hotel--you must rely on busses and the metro to get around. Do not attempt to take a taxi to the hotel from the Fiumicino/Da Vinci airport--it is a distance away and will cost you at least $60 Euro--take the airport train to Termini and jump on the 90 bus.

The hotel is around 20 to 60 min bus/subway from the city center, wich is good because it was really quiet at night. It was really hard to find the location on the first day, because the area is not on the usual touristic map we had for rome. There is a pizzeria near by who has cheap pizza. Good breakfeast. We really enjoyed the AC because it was 35 celcius outside. The room was clean, the staff was friendly. Good place and cheap price.

We spent 2 hrs looking for a hotel in Rome for 3 nights on the internet and the reviews seemed good for this hotel, although it was a little expensive considering it was so far out of the city but we thought it would be ok. On arrival we finally found the hotel, the area isn't great but its not far from where the bus drops you if you know where your going, the hotel doesn't have a sign outside so you can easily miss it. They seemed very pleasant on arrival, our room was very small with an over powering smell of perfume or cleaning products, i was 3 months pregnant and i had a constant headache and nausea from it. also the walls had oil stain all over them, and the air-con didn't work. When i spoke to the reception, he said it was water on the walls, just the cleaners had wiped it and would be dry in 24hrs (which it didn't, because it was oil) and most people wanted heating on and he couldn't turn the air-con on when the heaters are being used! Also because we said we had to leave for a-port at 6.30am on our last day he said the only way to get there that early was via a 60 euro shuttle with them or a taxi for the same price. We had a lonely planet guide which said there was a shuttle bus from the Termini which we checked out and they leave every half hour from 4.30am and cost 6 euro each (12 euro rather than 60 euro). I wouldn't stay here again unless t hey had a serious reduction on there rates then i would. The breakfast was good but doesn't accomadate for large groups or familys.

the hotel was very clean and quiet, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast nice but the hotel is aproxematly 35 minutes by bus from the center! a good choise for a value for money hotel!

We checked into this hotel for 2 days and stay. We picked this hotel based on the reviews. When we checked in the room looked good and we wanted to use the bath rooms there was no hot water. We were told that there was an issue and they are working on to resolve it. We finally have to take cold shower as the problem was not fixed. We hoped that it will be fixed by next days and to our surprise all they said is sorry we cannot fix it. It was really bad experience staying at this hotel.

Our stay at the Hotel Aniene was very pleasant and exceeded our expectations. I picked this hotel based on the reviews submitted by others who have stayed before us weighing the positives against the negatives. My wife and myself were certainly not disappointed having a better understanding as to why the reviews were very high to start with. The room was larger than expected and was very modern including the building itself which differs from the surrounding ones. We would like to make special mention of Luca at the front desk who spoke excellent English, very pleasant to deal with, and was extremely helpful to enable us to explore Rome in a methodical fashion. It would've have been quite a task being first timers. Signora Carla who is in charge of the morning breakfast. Along with everyone else at the front desk such as Matteo, Athula, Fabio and the maintenance staff who were very responsive to our needs. Inspite being located about some distance from the city center it was very accessible by metro being within proximity to a number of stops and different buses. We never found travelling to and from our destination to be an issue and never had to use a Taxi. The neighborhood is also within proximity to a few stores, Pizzerias, and a grocery store. Quite safe. I would definitely recommend this to our friends and colleagues. We will be staying there again on our next trip in fact we are already planning the next one.

Yes, it is a 15 minute bus ride to Termini but the Sempione stop is literally at the corner and the Night Bus 13 connects to the Night Bus 4 to stop there so you have 24 hour access. Great area with late night pizza, convienence store, grocery store. Hotel itself is amazing. Trendy and new. Very clean. Staff speaks English and is very friendly. Eating area with 24 hour room service. Free breakfast and there is a bar too. Computer and FREE wifi. Just a great experience.

It did not have parking as indicated. Day clerk was ugly to us. It was in a bad neighborhood and we were over an hour from downtown. Breakfast was good and room was fine.

A really great staff and outstanding breakfast. Room is comfortable but needs better lighting - can't read a book or map in room at night. A map of the local area wwould really improve mobility for guests. Fine restaurant within the block and local bar offers tea, coffee, drinks, panini and bakery products at very reasonable prices. Pizza parlour down the street, as well as small grocery stores. Three bus stops within a couple of blocks with connections at Termini to buses that go all over city, subway, and trains to all over Italy and Europe. Open air tour buses at Termini. Outside central city but easy to get there on buses. We enjoyed our stay here and will stay here on our next visit to Italy.

We loved the Hotel Aniene. It has a very modern design and was very nice. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. A very short walk and we were at the bus line which easily took us into the main part of Rome. Great continental breakfast each day, plus wine in the evening!

The hotel was great and staff very friendly and helpful. The only problem was the hotel was far from sights but there was a bus stop only a few minutes away so that made it more convenient.

The hotel was very modern and trendy and unexpected for a city like Rome. The hotel room was comfortable, but if there is more than 1 person staying in the room, ensure that there is a 2nd key issued. Once someone leaves the room and removes the key, the lights go out and so does all of the electricity. Internet is available for a small fee. The breakfast was included and quite excellent - it was a full breakfast, not continental. The hotel staff was very helpful. The only drawback to this hotel was the location. If you are looking for comfort and a trendy contemporary look, this is the one. If you are looking for location, this would not be the place to stay. There are several bus lines that take you to Piazza Venezia or the Termini bus terminal (center of the city), however, the buses are very crowded and take approximately 30-35 minutes to travel into the city center.

The location worked well being close to an Express bus to center city yet in a quieter neighborhood. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with plentiful options and long hours. The room was small, but comfortable and modern. The A/C worked. Would recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel is perfect for the budget minded or anyone who wants a great hotel for the money. It was clean and modern. The room I had with a queen sized bed, rivaled any US hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel provides a great breakfast which definitely saves time and money. Having an air-conditioned hotel in the summer is also a plus after a long day of sight-seeing. The only draw back to the hotel is it's location. In order to see the main attractions of Rome you need to jump on the bus. The 86 and 90 will get you close to everything. The rides are about 15-20 minutes long, very convenient. There are 3 pretty good restaurants within walking distance for late evening dinners. I would stay there again.

EVERYTHING IS PERFECT WITH THE HOTEL. VERY MODERN. LOVELY BREAKFAST. THE AREA IS VERY QUIET, NOTHING AT ALL TO DO AT NIGHT... THERE IS AN INEXPENSIVE PIZZA PARLOR ACROSS THE STREET OPEN PRETTY LATE. THE BED IS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. NON OF THE CABLE CHANNELS ARE REALLY IN ENGLISH. THE HOTEL IS QUITE A DISTANCE FROM THE LEONARDO AIRPORT AND IF YOU DONT KNOW BETTER LIKE MYSELF YOU WILL TAKE A CAB AND THE METER WILL READ $80.00 WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT THE HOTEL. ON THE WAY BACK TO THE ARPT WE TOOK THE BUS AND TRAIN AND PAID $1 EURO EACH AND GOT DIRECTLY TO THE AIRPORT. HOTEL IS CLOSE TO BUS STOP AND STAFF WILL TELL YOU EXACTLY HOW TO GET TO EVERYWHERE YOU NEED TO GO.

The hotel is a little far from the city center. But it is easy to go there. There is a bus stop near it and you can take bus no. 90 and go to Termini Station.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and it was great. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet and the rooms are very very nice for Europe. Even though the hotel is not in the city center it was very easy to get there. You can take a number of different buses but the two that we took most often was the 90 express where the stop is Sempione and the 86 which is the one that will get you closes to the hotel. If you want to get cheap drinks and water then I suggest going into the train station at the city center where there is a supermarket downstairs.

Hotel Aniene was good. It's a new hotel so the decor is very neat and clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming and spoke good English. The only down side was that it is quite far from the city centre, but the buses were convenient.

We spent 3 nights in Rome, and this hotel worked out great. It's a bit away from the main tourist attractions, but, in many ways, that's great. A quiet neighborhood that's just a 15 minute bus ride to the city center. The service was good, the room was clean, and good resturants are just a short walk away.

We stayed at this hotel in Rome during a heat wave. We were highly grateful for the air conditioned rooms. In all honesty, this hotel was the best hotel we stayed in during our entire trip to Europe because it had all 3 things that were important to us - air conditioned rooms, free wifi, and free breakfast. The breakfast was a very good buffet, especially for the price - nothing. The location was good. It is a long distance away from the central train station, but there is a bus stop a short distance away that takes you directly to the city center. It was not difficult to get around from the hotel. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Rome!

Hotel ist sehr sauber und für den Preis absolut zu empfehlen,sehr sauber und freundliches Personal.Etwas ausserhalb von der City gelegen,aber mit Bus und Bahn innerhalb von15 Minuten in der Stadt,Frühstück etwas spärlich.auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen
