This hotel is located outside of downtown KK. It is okay. The cleanliness is fine in the rooms but, they never seem to clean the hallways outside the rooms or air condition them. The hotel is okay for the price, location is great for shopping.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much. We were pleased with the overall condition and services provided. This is the perfect stay for a family like ours since its location next to the shopping mall meant that the kids can come and go as and when the like without us having to tag along all the time. The mall also housed several food outlets and restaurants and cineplex. Cant wait for our next stay at Novotel hotel!

I think the hotel is really far from the city area but near to the University. The receptionist and concierge were helpful in getting a hired car for our 2 day business trip. The room was very clean and spacious and the bath tub/shower could be slippery so need to be careful. There was no rubber mat in the shower. There was a lingering body odor smell when I first step into the room. Tried to get the room service people to spray the room but they didn't do it. Hence I had to open the windows to air the room. The small cafe at the lobby charged for tea and coffee 3 times more than the average so don't go there. Go to the mall behind the lobby and you could get a decent local tea or coffee at the Old Town White Coffee Cafe. Overall the hotel was nice and comfortable.

overall the hotel room is quite good only the air condition is not working properly . the room is very hot but the breakfast is excellent.

Poor service at reception. Location of hotel is useless for anything except going to the little shopping centre. Lots of little bed bugs in the room making the sleep quality terrible. Advice: 1 Bring the bug spray, 2 Prepare for expensive taxi fees to go anywhere worthwhile from this location. I recommend Hyatt or Le Meridian in central Kota Kinabalu which are much better and more convenient.

The room is clean and perfect location where i looking for. Shopping mall is just couple walks away and the staff is very helpful.

I booked with the breakfast packages yet, he front desk noticed me that I did not, end up paying extra MYR for the breakfast buffet and we only stay less than 6 hours in the Hotel.

A practical, spacious and clean hotel with excellent customer service, and large rooms. The breakfast at the hotel is just wonderful with a large range of foods that cater to all tastes. It certainly fills you up until well after lunch time. We travelled with 3 children and the mother in law so we booked 3 rooms that were all on the 10th floor. Can't complain as they had a large comfy bed with plenty of pillows and clean bedding, a large flat sceen set in mirror surrounds, a DVD player on which you can watch cheap movies bought in the adjoing mall, dark curtains to sleep in in the morning and a large bathroom which had a window to the bedroom. This could be covered with a waterproof roller blind to obstruct viewing. The location is obviously not on the beach but the shopping in the adjoing large shopping mall was fantastic. It takes a few days to wonder around the whole mall but there is plenty of entertainment at arm's reach for the entire family. There are a couple of children amusement parks with bumper cars, ball pits, bouncy castle etc, there is archery, kareokie and a movie theatre which has the latest movies but at a fraction of the cost in Australia. New York doughnuts and coffee is great too.Taxis are found at the front of the hotel to take you anywhere anytime of the day or night. you check

Clean & good service, adjacent to shopping mall~

I really enjoyed my stay at this place. There were some wonderful places to visit. The hot springs and the mountain ride were my favourite. The hotel was very helpful about getting a limousine for us for this trip. and other trips to the zoo and the Sunday street markets. The only disappointment was not be able to get wine at affordable prices. Plenty of spitits and beer but very lettle wine.

I would say this is a nice hotel with great service...its clean...maintained well. It is located right next door to a shopping mall. However it is about a 20 minute drive from the Central Business area or the city. If you dont mind staying far from the city then i would recommend a stay here...but i found that there was more to do near the city so id stay closer next time....it is not meant to sound negative because overall it was a nice and clean place to stay

The Hotel is ok & arond is shopping mall but out of the city is need 20-25 mins so waste time & the shop or food all is close about on 9:00 - 10:00 quite early because he cannot easy to get the supper meal, i just can buy Mcdonald (no choice) all close !!!

Overall I'm satisfied with my stay, the breakfast was good and it was on the 5th flr with good view, clean swimming pool and comfortable room. What needs improvement is the room cleanliness, overall its clean just that the dressing table is not wipe, still have cup stain, there are stain of paint on the bath tub and the plaster wall are a lil ripped off. But I will still recommend this hotel to stay.

We waited for hours to check in to our room and finally given the room key at 4pm when we have to approach the reception many times. Guess what? The housekeeping is still vacuum cleaning the room when we reached our room door. We went back to the reception, the staff showed no sign to help, but gave many excuses. We missed our appointment that evening! No apology, no sense of urgency, we finally given a smaller room and it was very noisy through out our stay. Tried to change but to no avail, again given many excuses, to push us off. Do not feel welcome at ALL!

A great hotel located by the huge shopping mall. Everything's very good except the hotel's 7 km or more away from the downtown. Extra money's spent to go down to the downtown by taking taxis to and fro.

The Novotel Hotel 1 Borneo is a hotel with modern interiors but very homey ambience. THe access to the mall made us enjoy our stay much more because of the great food choices and the shopping experience.

A little bit far to town

环境很好，装修也不错，价钱合理。就是地理位置不太好，周边太荒无。喜欢夜宵的朋友最好不要选择这间。

酒店落成只有一兩年，設施頗新，房間寬敞整潔。隔鄰為一個大商場，方便購物搵食。員工服務態度亦非常親切。可惜酒店離市中心頗遠，雖然隔鄰商場有提供每個小時一班免費專車往市區，但出入仍覺得非常不便。

It is very surprised to give a welcome gift to my son. The reception is very nice and helpful. However, the water in the swimming pool is dirty and the room is lacks of maintenance. There is no fitness room as shown in the website. Quite disappointed.

乾淨舒適的接待大廳，客房的床很舒服，可惜房間小了一點，旁邊就有1 BONEO SHOPPING MALL想當令人滿意。服務人員相當客氣，對問題的反應時間稍長。

地點較偏僻, 到市中心及到外島玩略嫌偏遠, 要有心理準備。好彩有大商場和24小時Orange便利店, 以補不足, 但商場店鋪不太合適港人口味, 地方大但很靜, 酒店服務尚算ok,有點失修(若以開業幾年的酒店來說, 比想像中舊), 價錢尚算是合理。

距離市區有一段路。 雖然有接駁車但是班次並不密集。 不過以同樣條件的住宿條件來說 金額不高這件事倒是令人頗開心～

お食事、ショッピング、マッサージを楽しみたい方には、 1borneoと隣接しているため、 非常に便利だと思います。 premier loungeのカクテルタイムは、 唐揚げ、サンドウィッチ、ケーキなど、 毎晩2－3種類程度でした。

服務人員很親切 ,而且服務相當週到. 還親自帶我們去搭接駁車到市區. 價位便宜, 早餐豐盛, 床又很舒服. 推荐指數5顆星.

The quality of this hotel is good - it is in the middle of a big shopping centre so for supershoppers it is perfect - it is 15 minutes away from Kota Kinabalu by car - there is a free shuttlebus - the breakfast is good.

Ett rent och shysst hotell. Rummen är rena och fina . Platt-tv,kylskåp safety-box,air con. Rymligt rum med skrivbord och avlastingsytor och garderob Toalett med badkar och bra tryck i dusch-slangen. Kaklat och stilrent Pool mycket trevlig,delvis ute och delvis under tak.Barnpool finns. Hotellet ligger i ett shoppingkomplex.gä genom en dörr från hotellet sen är du inne på köpcentrat.Här kan man äta,dricka,shoppa,gå på bio,spelhallar mm.Här finns mataffärom man vill ha nåt gott upp till rummet,MC Donalds,KFC,Pizza-restauranger,Lokal mat mm

Hotel was in a nice location but the room was little small as well as the bath room , some of the restaurant staffs was not too frinedly .

It is located half an hour from the airport, outside of the city centre, but we were looking for a nice hotel to relax and to do some shopping, and this was perfect. The hotel staff was very friendly, the rooms very clean and stylish with a glass window between the bathroom and the bedroom. The restaurant was somewhat overpriced, but since we had a fridge in the room we could go to the local grocery store and stock up on food. I would definately recommend this hotel.
