Water pressure was not great, nor the temperature . The location was good and we were able to do a lot . All and all I would come back again.

Wow! Really loved this place. The apartment was huge with a balcony overlooking the city. A very convenient location in walking distance of everything, but tucked away on a small street away from the crowds. We will book here again!

Room very clean and tidy. Very big and spacey and preferrable to a hotel room. Location good also.

The apartment was clean, economical, convenient to good food and tourist areas, and the service from all personnel was above and beyond what we anticipated. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to others.

Stayed for one night in a 2 bed apartment with four of us in the group. Apartment is lovely, modern, clean and well kitted out. Balcony in every apartment. Staff were very helpful. Good location, short walk to city centre (although we taxi'd due to cold icy night). Free wifi was hit and miss as tried to connect via mobiles but either very slow or not connecting at all. Apartment block is huge and we were in the end block so about a 3 minute walk through the building and up and down stairs/lifts to get to it. Biggest let down was the fact that there is only enough hot water for two people (in an apartment that sleeps 5!!) unless u read the info and see that u need to boost the water for two hours. Maybe reception should make a bigger deal about this. And the fire alarm was set off at 1020am on the Sunday morning but not long enough to evacuate (but definitely long enough to wake you for the 11am check out despite the fact we paid for late checkout. Overall, place was ok.

Hotel is best for long stay. Two spacious rooms and a kitchen. Surroundings a little old and depressing.

THE APARTMENT WAS OK BUT THERE WERE CERTAIN THINGS MISSING WHICH I INFORMED THE RECEPTIONIST ABOUT.THEY INCLUDED LACK OF PHONE AND COOKING UTENSILS.ALTHOUGH I REMINDED THEM THE ITEMS WERE NOT REPLACED DURING OUR 2 DAY STAY .THE ROOMS SHOULD BE MORE CAREFULLY CHECKED BY THE HOUSEKEEPER BETWEEN VISITS

no complaints whatsoever. apartment was clean, modern and had everything we needed. staff where polite and helpful. we were upgraded to a two room without even asking. very central. will definitely stay here again.

The apartment itself was large, clean, and modern, Only complians would be (1) the sign for the hotel is small and was a bit hard to find and (2) we were there during a few rare hot days - with no a/c the appartmetn got very hot and when we opened our window it was noisy outside from people talking late at night in the courtyard. Otherwise, it is a great location and it's very handy to have a kitchen and living room.

Having previously been accustomed to use hotels of a high standard for vacations we were more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of this accomodation.We would particularly wish to commend the reception staff who could not have been more helpful.

No toilet paper in the bathroom on arrival. Not a single salt and pepper shaker, or tea bag in aprtment. Private internet access was only in a certain seat in the dining/lounge. Doors would not stay open- constantly slamming shut. Water was very noisy. Could hear people coming and going at al hours of night, also a party upstairs the night before we left.

This was perfect for my family of 5. Room was very clean. It was quiet. But very close to all of the action. We could walk to temple bar, grafting street and jervis street within 10 minutes. this was cheaper and more convienient than a hotel for us. There was a back patio where my toddler could run around. I highly recommend this place. The front desk is very helpful.

The apartments were clean and spacious. Good location-we walked everywhere. I would recommend them to others.

Hot water was almost non-existant. Hotel Staff was incapable of getting it fixed as the control head we were supposed to have in each apartment had been removed. Was overall clean and great location.

We arrived last night with my family hoping to have a "home away from home". So the first thing: the room was filthy. The floors were sticky and had unswept hair in the bathroom and the kitchen. Beyond disgusting. Carpets in the bedrooms have not seen a vacuum cleaner since the place was built: bordering on health hazard. Bed sheets, while washed, had stains and rips. The clencher though is the water heater: it gives you enough hot water for 2 5-second showers. The apartment is a maze of corridors, lifts and stairs so navigating - very tough. Our first night - there was a party outside at 4am and we were woken up by alcohol induced screams and songs. The only saving grace of this hotel is the washing machine. BTW - when they say dryer - they meant a drying rack to hang your clothes on. We used the heaters and our clothes were done in 2 hours - especially since with the luggage being lost we had to do a quick wash. The front desk staff is friendly and means well but they lack in execution.

It's great value for money but as the title indicated, the balcony of the unit we stayed in needed serious cleaning even though the unit itself was spotless. There were dirty socks and plenty of grime so it must be policy not to clean the balcony. Additionally, someone has bashed in the washing machine glass - could be a previous guest but while the machine was usable, the dryer was absolutely useless.... the management must know about this because the maintenance man warned us that the dryer was "slow". For people on the road, that's inconvenient. We ended up with damp laundry for the rest of our trip but can't say we were not forewarned. Top marks for the staff though - very responsive!

The rooms were large with separate bedrooms and kitchen. The apartment had a full kitchen and washer/dryer. The staff would totally helpful. The site is relatively well situated to a number of sites, but a long walk to downtown. Near bus service, however. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy though - but OK.

No one ever acknowledged or said hi to us every time we passed the reception area during our 4 days stay. Apt was very well equipped and convenient but the building was very noisy.

Stayed at the Augustine apartments in Dublin for a long weekend with a friend whilst going to Punchestown races. The apartments are in a great location close to the River Liffey and near Temple Bar and Grafton Street. The accommodation is pretty good, albeit a little tired, but plenty of space. Staff were friendly on arrival.

We stayed two nights we'd and sat. First night was fine . Old rooms with dirty carpets. Tv remote did not work and no soap at all. Large rooms but doors did not stay open. Second night was awful. We tried to use the washer and had to stop it during the spin cycle as it sounded like it was going to take off. The shower head was broken and the dishwasher smelled back. Finally got the remoe to work after 3 tries. Carpet was dirty. The worst part was that another guest set off the fire alarm at midnight. Nothing was offered for compensation.. The neighborhood was questionable.

It was a very good appt. Was a little hard to find and the instructions how to get there were missleading. It never told us that we needed to go around the building to the office interence, instead we went in the car interence and was told it was for the cars only. Other than that it was very nice clean appt.

Good apartment in a quiet location convienent for city centre. Friendly helpful staff

The front desk personnel were very helpful when we arrived to facilitate the return of our rental car, the use of the parking garage to get our baggage to the room, and finding our way around the neighborhood, especially to a supermarket. I suppose it is a building/fire code requirement, but having spring loaded hinges on interior doors is very unusual. Overall, easy walking to all major downtown sights.

The apartment complex is located quite close to downtown, but walking to main attractions is still a hike. On the positive side: helpful, if a little tired, staff (gave recommendations for grocery shopping, booked taxi, the desk was always manned), comfortable and clean beds, nice kitchenette. On the negative: rooms and especially bathroom badly need thorough cleaning and repainting, carpets are horribly stained, lint in corners, walls in bathroom smeared with makeup and dirty smudges; bedrooms are smallish, decor is scant. In hindsight, would rent a hotel or a different apartment.

We are a family of four, with Mom, Dad, and teen and preteen sons. We stayed for four nights at the St Augustine Apts in April 2012. The Good: Great location for the price and great price for the location. You can walk to pretty much anywhere in central Dublin from here. Our apartment was clean, spacious, and reasonably comfortable. The building has reception services 24/7. (Other StayDublin properties apparently do not.) When we needed help, the receptionists were very helpful, for instance with maps and directions. Free WiFi for as many devices as you request. There is a shopping street very nearby with groceries, a cafe/bakery, pubs, etc. The kitchen has all the cups, plates, etc you're likely to need for a short stay, an electric kettle, toaster, etc. The Not-So-Good: The sound-proofing was bad, not just between rooms but between apartments. We had a ground-floor apartment facing the courtyard and could easily hear foot traffic to the other apartments. The water heating system is a little odd - make sure you read the instructions before everyone starts showering. The bathroom had one small towel rail for four people and no shelf or anything to store toothbrushes and such. Overall we were happy with our stay and might stay here again.

we stayed in the apartments for about a week over christmas. The room was cosy and warm with fantastic wifi coverage (free) so we were able to skype our families and keep in touch. Location is great too as only a short walk to centre of town. All the must see sights are close by. Small things such as broken dishwasher and some noise as we were by an entrance door but overall very happy with our stay.

The hotwater is inadequate and primitive The lighting is very poor Access to apartments is difficult The security supposedly provided by making all access through the reception is nullified by lax security on the garage gates

Good quality apt . Walking distance to the centre. Only issue was the shuttle bus didn't turn up at Dublin airport which was stressful.

We had a wonderful stay in Dublin at Augustine Apartments by stayDublin. The two bedroom apartment was large and well appointed. Everything we needed and more. The staff was very helpful, they went out of their way to make sure we had our transport to the airport and when the lobby computers were down, they let me use their personal computers to print out my flight vouchers. great conversations with them. close to grocery store, pubs and shops. we will definately stay there again.

Live staying in student halls, with lots of heavy locked doors. The main problem is the apartment was dirty. Stained bedroom carpets in bedrooms, shoes sticking to the tiled floor when walking, grubby worn settee. All the walls needed painted as very dirty. The kitchen was the only good thing. The shower head kept falling off the hook hitting you when showering. Because of the state of the apartment we stayed out of it during our stay until late at night. Only returning to sleep. Thankfully we only stayed one night. It is a pity because these were probably really nice well finished apartments when first built but have not been maintained well.

The hotel was really clean and the front desk was very helpful the majority of the time. Some employees knew more then others. Hotel was within walking distance to the bars and all the must-sees. The couches were a little stained but the rooms were very clean and overall satisifed with my stay.

We spent the last two nights of our whirlwind UK trip at the St. Augustine in Dublin. Great staff, lots of room, really appreciated the space and the washer/dryer in the room. I have read other reviews that mentioned problems with the hot water, but we had none with 3 people in the room. Those who wanted evening showers popped on the boiler before we left for dinner and had hot water when we returned! Several tourist destinations within walking distance, and a nearby stop for the two hop on/ hope off tourist buses made the apartment easy to get to and from.

The St. Augustine surpassed our expectations. Staff was very helpful. Great location - near most of the sights. Secure parking garage under the apartments was very convenient. Safe area and very secure building. Our apartment was quiet, impeccably clean and well equipped. (hair dryer, ironing board and iron, washing machine and drying rack). WiFi in the lobby.There was plenty of room for our family, which included our three young adult sons. We had two bedrooms and the sofa bed in the living room was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

The St. Augustine was a decent hotel at a decent price if you don't look too closely. Lockers are provided to store your luggage if you arrive before check in. The receptionists were helpful with tourist information but not as successful with solving problems with our room. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable also we did not have an issue with the hot water like some others. Our room had a balcony but we were never able to use it. The housekeeper came to unlock the door to the balcony for us but didn't have the key as the locks were changed. She said she would come back with the key but we needed to sleep and it took over an hour for her to come to the room the first time. I told her that we would get it opened the following day. After repeated requests a housekeeper never came back with a key. When we tried to use the oven it started to smoke and set the fire alarm off. It turned out the oven was not cleaned before we checked in. When I went to reception they said the housekeepers had left and they didn't know what cleaners to use so I had to wait to get the oven cleaned. I was given sponges to clean the oven myself upon request and told that a note would be left for the housekeeper to come the following morning to properly clean it. No one came to clean the oven during our stay. There were dirty hand prints on the walls, splashes of dirty liquid on the wall by the dishwasher and splashes of something on the ceiling in the living room. we began to wonder what exactly gets cleaned by the housekeepers. With all that said I would recommend this hotel to others because of the price and the proximity to the tourist sights. I would however warn of the questionable cleanliness of the room.

This is a very handy place to stay for a weekend break in Dublin. It's only 10minutes walk from the centre (Grafton St) but far enough away for it to be quiet at night (even on a weekend). The rooms were clean and comfortable and it was great to have cooking facilities to cut down costs of eating out. Very much like a home from home. The reception staff were helpful too.

We Choose this apartment for its central location, everything was in easy walking distance, only 2 minutes walk from Vicar st theater, 10 min to temple bars night life. As well as many of dublins attractions such as the guinness store house. I read alot of horror stories about the lack of hot water, but this is Not an issue, all boilers are programmed to heat water from 6-8 Am giving more than enuff hot water for 2 showers, as we arrived late in the evening, i simply boosted the boiler while we went for dinner, on our return to the apartment a little over an hr later there was again plenty of hot water !! No problems with it running out.

This hotel really met our needs quite well. This was our first trip to Dublin and we brought our two youngest children, ages 8 and 11. We had a lovely kitchen to cook from, which lowered our expenses. Plus, our kids were able to try a host of foods that they'd never had before. The hotel was within walking distance of just about everything, and I bet we covered 5 miles a day. There was never any noise from other rooms and we likes that we were away from a crowdedm, noisy street. The only downside (and I know this would be a deal breaker for most Americans), the hot water heater ran on a timer, so there was not always hot water. There was a 'boost' button that you could run and supposedly get enough hot water for a shower, but this allowed about 45 seconds of hot water. I am not kidding. I washed my eight year old in the tub with water I heated on the stove and in the hot kettle. We managed though, and even laughed a bit (just a bit!) at the situation. Overall, this hotel met our needs for the beginning of our European vacation. It provided us a place to cook and be warm, and to watch the telly. If you can live without a long, hot shower at any given time, then this would be a good place to stay in Dublin.

Great location but not noisy. Lovely to have a lounge to sit in and chat. All the necessary equipment in the kitchen except the most important - a corkscrew! Bedrooms a little on the small side and hot water a bit sparse for 4 people but on the whole would definitely stay here rather than an hotel.

Perfect, very friendly staff, underground parking, walking distance to city centre.

I wouldn't stay here even if was free, we complained about general up keep of the apt i.e lights weren't working we were left with a light you have above the mirror for shaving for 2 days, we were also left with a microwave that was burned out and if we had of flicked the switch god knows what would have happened...for the price you pay it's so not worth it...I stayed in cheaper accomodation i.e premier inn and received a much higher class of accommodation and service for a fraction of the price.
