Not too seedy, this street has a condo and normal houses, very pleasant.

A night stay feel awesomely comfortable with cleanliness and affordable. Convenience when you are hungry, and it's easy to travel around to get to your destination.

Nice but not cheap. The neighborhood maybe is not for family's. It is in the red light district of Singapore. A real rip of is the Internet connexion. The hotel is NOT cheap and still they want a lot of money for Wi Fi. And the hotel computer is extreme slow but also very expensive. Even the local Internet shops are much cheaper.

Friendly staff, clean room. 15minutes by buss to city centre. Hotel is located in the redlight district.

The hotel is good, friendly staff, very clean. The neighborhood is not so nice, but no problem because the metro station is near the hotel and easy to go anywhere.

I can't say enough about how helpful the desk staff were - they were even able to direct me to a coin laundromat in the neighborhood when I needed to do laundry but didn't want to pay by-the-item prices. The room was a bit cramped - I had to sidle my way around the edges of the bed - but it was clean and well-maintained. I believe this was the only budget-friendly hotel I stayed in while traveling through Malaysia and Singapore that provided a full-sized flat-screen television. The hotel is within walking distance of two mass transit stations, but it's not necessarily what I would consider a short walk. The nearby transit line is very convenient to central Singapore and the airport, though. My only other complaint is that the hotel charges for Wifi internet access by selling blocks of time that expire when the user logs out - this was a shock after getting used to the ubiquity of free Wifi in nearby Malaysia. As for the neighborhood, which seemed to bother many other reviewers... It's a vibrant, diverse working-class neighborhood with a variety of affordable food options and a busy nightlife. Yes, there are adult shops, brothels and pockets of street walkers in the area but it's not nearly as seedy as many would make it out to be. In all honesty you could find worse things on Orchard Road. Regardless of the surroundings, the hotel felt clean and family-oriented. Would definitely stay again.

Its totally better than Fragrance Hotel Ruby. More cleaner, more comfortable and newer amenities.

Very small room but clean. The neighbourhood is maybe not for a family. Many bars, and girls (in the night) walking the streets.

Room was too small. There was virtually no space to walk around. Less than one foot gap between bed and the two sides of wall. My two luggages were hitting against the front door and the bathroom door. Overall, very disappointed with room, check-in and almost everything. Room rate is too expensive. No free wifi, not worth to pay extra for it.

Nice Hotel with good service but the room is small and far from center or big shopping malls or place of attraction like the Universal Studio, Zoo, Sentosa, Bird Parks etc. The nearest MRT station is about 15 minutes walk. However, the room rate is reasonable.

We'd previously stayed downtown, but the Fragrance Pearl is only a Singpore $6 cab ride from most attractions and the district is packed with great Chinese, Malay and Indian cuisine. The staff was helpful and friendly. The small rooms are efficiently organized. Only problem: bottom sheets are a bit small and tend to slip out from under the mattress. An excellent value for price and would probably be my first choice for a return visit.

This place was awful. Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. I chose it because I thought it would be close to the airport at a reasonable price. We showed up late and there were prostitutes everywhere on the surrounding streets. The room was filthy, the bathmat rug was dirty and hairy, the towels and sheets did not look clean, and the blanket on the bed looked dirtier than the surrounding prostitutes. When we checked in there was a girl throwing up in the lobby chair, which the staff didn't do much about. If you want a hotel in the same price range and distance, stay at the Fragrance Selegie, which was by no means great, but better than this dump.

Fortunately we got bumped off our original choice of room, from superior to executive. It was going to good until the fire alarm went off just before we were about to check out, that's why we had to scamper to get down. The receptionist (guy) isn't so accommodating when we were asking him about the alarm and he seemed to be quite upset.Overall, our stay was good, although just like in our two previous stay in fragrance, air conditioning is not as cool as we hoped it'd be.

an affordable place to stay and just minutes away to everything. it is also a family friendly place but just make it sure that kids would not go out at night because night clubs, pubs, were just around the corner!haha

the bed sheet was real dirty and it's located in the red-light area. Not close to the train station at all, if you are carrying a lot of luggages, it's advised to take a cap. I could have choose a better hotel.

The location is not necessary close to the Aljunied MRT station, especially if you have to walk with some luggage. However, the room that I stayed in was very nice and clean. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciate the luggage-storing access after check out. It is in the red light district if it's ok with you. There are many food vendors around the hotel at nite. Will definitely consider staying at this location again in the future. FYI, it's cheaper to book the room thru hotels.com instead of the hotel's website.

THE GIRL RECEPTIONIST HAD SET OFF MY MOOD ON ARRIVAL. SHE WAS NOT FRIENDLY NOR PROFESSIONAL COMPARE TO HER COUNTER PART, MALE RECEPTIONIST WHO WAS CHEERFUL AND POLITE. HOTEL NEEDS MAJOR RENOVATION AND NEED TO WORK WITH AUTHORITY TO ELIMINATE OR AT LEAST MINIMIZE OPEN PROSTITUTION ACROSS THE STREET AND SURROUNDINGS.

Not a place for family - redlight area although food and transport is easily available. Reception service was good but room smelt very smoky even after opening door for half an hour. In the morning when I opened the door there was a bundle of soiled bedsheets and towels in front of my door and when I ask the cleaner to please remove them (as it was occupying half my doorway), she said what to do where do you expect me to put it there's no space for it. I was rather speechless. Sorry but I won't stay in this hotel again even though it is cheap.

the room has about 7 square meters,very small, very dirty, very bad location, you'll be better off sleeping at the bus stop, please dont go to this hotel, its awfull, the room has disgusting stain all over the walls, there are prostitutes all around the area and dirty chinese people spitting all over the place. the worst hotel I ever stayed at.

I'm a traveller and this place was very close to perfect... the hotel isn't located to far from the train station the name eludes me atm. Its probably bout a 10min or so walk. And yea its true its in the Red light district. While i was checking in there were 2 other locals with ladies by their side who wanted a room for the night. The room itself is kinda small, very basic furniture, bed, table tv and thats it. The toilet was clean no complaints there. Not much of a view mainly just other apartment buildings. The surrounding area is filled with locals. its where they eat and drink so always very lively even at 1am. The locals all seem to be very nice and helpful, altho not many speak english. Over all you get what you pay for here at the Pearl basic clean hotel and safe too. I would recommend to travellers alike but I wouldn't bring the family out this way.

Luxus darf man für diesen Preis nicht erwarten. Basis-Ansprüche werden aber erfüllt. Zumindest unser Zimmer war sauer. Allerdings ist das Hotel im Rotlicht-Beirk gelegen. Tagsüber merkt man es kaum, aber nachts stehen die Frauen überall in den Nebenstraßen, aber nicht diekt vor dem Hotel. Viele asiatische Reisegruppen. Die Zimmer selber sind sehr hellhörig, man bekommt die Geräusche im Nebenzimmer deutlich mit und wacht nachts auch davon auf. Kleines Zimmer ( ca. 12 qm ), bei uns mit Fenster. Naßzelle sehr klein, Dusche ohne Vorhang. Beim Duschen durchnässt man den halben Badezimmerraum. Aminties: Duschgel aus dem Spender, Zahnbürsten und 2 Trinkwasser sowie ein Wasserkocher mit Tee und Kaffee. In Flughafennähe gelegen, deshalb Taxikosten erschwinglich. Nächste MRT Station ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß, Busse ins Zentrum fahren aber aus der Nähe ebenfalls ab.Für einen Stopover geeignet, aber Urlaub möchte ich hier keinen machen. Obwohl wir vom Taxifahrer wegen der Gefahren im Rotlichtviertel gewarnt wurden, erscheint mir die Gegend sicher. Wer auf sein Budget achten muss, ist hier nicht ganz verkehrt.

　このホテルはゲイラン地区にあるのですが、近くにはコンビニ（セブンイレブン）や食堂も沢山あるので、あまり困りません 　また、MRTの駅も「東西線Aljunied(EW9)」と「サークル線Mountbatten(CC7)どちらともアクセス可能なので、行き先によって駅を決めればいいが、夜遅くなるようだったら人通りの多いAljunued駅の方が安全かも知れない 　部屋の鍵は、カードキーを採用しているので、いちいち外出時に鍵をフロントに預ける必要が無いので楽です 　部屋の中も、「寝るだけ」という前提であれば特に問題ないが、僕の部屋はエアコンがうるさくイヤホンを耳栓代わりにして寝た。 　因みに、シャワーを使う時に給湯器のスイッチを入れなくてはいけないのですが、そのスイッチは、ドアを入ってすぐにある、カードキーを入れる場所の脇にあり、スイッチを入れると赤いランプが点灯します。これで、シャワーからお湯が出てきます。 　フロントの対応もとてもフレンドリーで、私の拙い英語も理解してくれたし、日本へ帰国する日の早朝のタクシー予約も、きちんと行ってくれました。 　日本のビジネスホテルでも、ここよりももっと酷いホテルを知っているので、この値段で、この設備とサービスであれば、問題ないと思います。 　

Som rubriken lyder får man vad man betalar för. I detta fall inget mer än väggar och tak för natten. Rummet i sig var rätt äckligt och smutsigt men vi ville ha ett billigt boende för en natt innan vi reste vidare till Thailand. Vi kom tillbaka till Singapore i slutet av resan och bodde centralt och nu i efterhand är vi glada att vi bott här då vi fick se lite av det "riktiga" och lokala Singapore. Ska man stanna en natt innan man reser vidare tycker jag att detta är helt ok om man inte är för kräsen.

The hotel is not that bad. But if you want internet go somewhere els. For 24 hour they want $18. The housekeeper on my floor was very lazy. Bad cleaning and forget essentials like toiletpaper and soap. When you want to ask him something you find him sleeping in another room.

房间比较小，离地铁还要走几条街，附件像是贫民区，酒店送的咖啡还不错，就是房间小点，跟新加坡物价有关，房价有点高

不太亁浄，床有蚤，離地鐵非常遠，有喼必死

Many ladies stand around the hotel for business，bit the most serious thing is too far away from MRT，if you have a big luggage，don't choose this hotel。also bed bugs bite me all night ，but I am too tired ，so I slept well，haha

Останавливались на 2 ночи, выбирали недорогой отель. Ожидали худшего, но были приятно удивлены. Номер небольшой, но аккуратный и чистый. Есть чай, кофе, фен. Расположен в 10-15 минутах от метро. Вполне рекомендую для бюджетной остановки в Сингапуре

12月15日にバリ島からシンガポールに入り夜間11時過ぎにホテルにチェックインいたしました。空港からタクシーにて20分とさほど17シンガポールドルでメータータクシーでした。注意事項は空港で少しはシンガポールドルに両替しないと朝食ならび色々不便です。 ホテルのロビーでの会話はすべて英語ですので注意しましょう。 部屋は日本のビジネスホテルのシングル部屋より若干落ちますが泊まるのには問題ありません。 ここに来る前に何カ国か渡ってきましたので荷物が多く3人で旅してましたのでタクシーを拾うのに苦労いたしましたが基本的にはメータータクシーを拾わないと日本人はぼられますので注意してください。

特になし。夜中に到着する方には、朝まで街が賑っているので色々便利。

酒店基本上還可以. 只係房間有少少不整潔! 沖涼時突然有些不知明黑色野係去水位走出黎.... 但第二日無再發生! 地點一般方便, 如提著行李就很煩.. 因為要過好幾條馬路.

friendly staff, but the room is very tiny and quite old, and our bed sheet had a visible dirty foot print on it!

I was really surprise the hotel is not really that bad . Aircon is fine...its very cold need to adjust to the right temperature to have a good night sleep , the only problem we encountered is the pillow and the bed sheet and the blanket. I am wondering how come they need to save on this item , its very cheap only if they can buy it from ikea , blanket so thin and also the pillow so low and think, sheet should buy thicker one. thats why a lot of people dont have a relax night. and we asked for more pillow and blanket , they had none. if they can change that it will be the best budget hotel ever. Place location ok even its red light district , food there is great ...location to mrt is 5-10 min walk but its ok, place interesting to see, as u walked. taxi to airport only 14 singpore , to universal 15 . place location ok. hope the management of hotel see this and improve their bed.

跟藍寶比較起來.遜色ㄉㄧ點.但價格相對也便宜ㄌ些 離捷運站須走十幾分鐘是比較累ㄉㄧ件事情 以價格來說算是合理ㄌ 附近雖說有很多特種行業 其實也不需要太在意 因為大致上我們都在外頭活動 累ㄌ才回飯店ㄉ不是嗎
