Radisson Hotel Colon - كولون

I would highly recommend staying at this great hotel if you are planning a cruise out of Colon. It couldn't have been more convenient as well as clean and comfortable! Colon itself isn't a touristy place to visit but the hotel abuts a very friendly little cluster of restaurants and businesses that meet your needs before you board your ship. Then its just a short walk to the cruise terminal and you're off to your next destination. The staff is very friendly and accommodating...even if you don't speak Spanish!!

I went to Colon to see the 'free zone'. It is very interesting. Colon is known for being the worst city in panama and they weren't kidding. But it is certainly worth a visit to Colon to see the 'free zone'. Amazing district set amongst absolute poverty and slums. The Radisson is right on the border to the freezone so the location is perfect. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are radisson quality, however the staff are very poorly trained and lack service skills. This however is not the draw card to go, so I would recommend this experience.

We were booked on a Royal Caribbean cruise at Port Colon and chose the closest hotel to our ship, just two blocks away. In that short space between the hotel and ship we found great duty-free and everyday bargains, especially at a store called Super 99. Our reservation included two complimentary drinks at the bar and two breakfasts at the buffet. As some reviews have stated, the rest of Colon is seedy and dangerous. But this security-guarded section is easy to navigate and even easier on the wallet.

Nice hotel but that strong odor in the room, and corridor and elevator was nauseating.I was not able to sleep as a result. The receptionist were not as friendly as some other hotels . The carpet in the rooms should be removed.

Fuimos un grupo de 3 mujeres que viajamos por placer, y Radisson fue el primer lugar a donde llegamos y las 3 coincidimos que el hotel es bonito, más se queda corto en la calidez y esmero en el servicio, especialmente de las empleadas mujeres, tienen a ser muy poco amables. Vale la pena tambièn felicitar la diferencia que encontramo en un joven llamado Linbay, que consideramos salvo la impresión que nos llevabamos.

Me hospede por 2 noches y quede muy satisfecho con el hotel. Hay un supermercado a media cuadra y un par de restaurantes bien cerca. El hotel tiene casino y un bar bastante tranquilos y la entrada principal de zona libre queda a 2-3 cuadras a pie. Es de lo mejor de Colon. ya que la ciudad no hay nada mas que hacer que negocios.

No recibí buen trato del personal de recepción del hotel, mostraron desconfianza en todo momento, lo que me generó malestar. Pague por una habitación con cama king y al llegar me indicaron que no tenían disponibles por la alta ocupación. Que tenía que tomar una doble si quería permanecer en el hotel. Unica persona atenta botones llamado Linvel.

Demuestran una desconfianza muy acentuada hacia el pasajero que hace sentir incomodo en ocasiones al pasajero. Personal del hotel utiliza vehiculos del hotel para su propio beneficio. preguntamos por la camioneta de cortesia del hotel para ir a la zona libre y nos llevo en un auto indicado por el portero y nos cobran el traslado U$S 6. Esto sucedio en el horario que indican como traslado de cortesia del hotel a la zona libre. -esta distancia es de 100 mtrs.

En primer lugar, somos pasajeros frecuentes de la cadena RADISSON en distintas partes del mundo y en segundo lugar, por su cercanìa a la Terminal de Cruceros, a unos pasitos...
