Oriental Hotel Hiroshima - هيروشيما

The Oriental Hotel was very pleasant with helpful staff. Situated a 10 minute walk from some of Hiroshima's peace park and closer to many of the shopping and dining streets, the location was good. Taxis to and from the train station were inexpensive and a local bus service runs nearby. While the hotel was good value, the negatives would be the small rooms (the smallest of several on our trip to Japan) and the lack of wifi other than in the lobby. We visited the hotel bar and the bartender was impeccable, sculpting blocks of ice to fit each glass and precisely mixing drinks. It was well worth it given the half price drinks ticket we were given on arrival.

Staff were very accomadating and spoke english. Hotel was very presentable and clean. Room was very "Asian" like but very up-to-date and clean. Great place!

I stayed in the hotel for two whole weeks and I loved every minute of it! Great view and cute clean rooms. Great location on a quiet street but also very near, 5-10 minutes walking distance, to the center of the city. The only semi-negative thing was that the bed was slightly hard but I like hard beds so I slept like a baby :) I never tried the food in the hotel but I'm sure it's good. Very good air in the room too. Great staff who can speak some english and the whole hotel was very luxurious. I just loved it!!!

Rooms are small, but that's par for the course in Japan. Otherwise great. I've stayed there at least 6 times. Always wonderful service.

Look- this place is the cheapest hotel you'll find in central hiroshima with the nicest rooms and lobby etc. The staff all mostly speak english. Room service is great. No english tv channels, but you can catch bilingual movies on weekends. 10min walk to the centre of town + the peace museum. Love love love the hotel.

Great hotel for a one night stay! Close to Hiroshima station, staff was nice, room was small but comfortable. Free internet was nice.

The Oriental Hotel in Hiroshima is an excellent choice located in downtown near the Peace Park. Large for Japan, comfortable rooms, very helpful staff, great bar, and very lavish breakfast. Only draw back is it is a fairly short cab ride from the train station.

Was there for a week in June, the service was excellent, the room was clean, I stayed on one of the upper floors so I think the rooms are a little bigger, mine had lots of room and nice shower/tub. It's not real close to Peace Park or the castle, but it's just a 10 minute walk to there. There are some good places to eat behind the hotel. They had not English speaking TV stations, BBC or CNN would be nice, but I was rarely in the room watching TV so it was really not an issue.

Oriental Hotel Hiroshima is a short taxi ride from the train station. It's a great place to be situated especially if you are there on the weekend with bars and restaurants just around the block. The hotel has a lovely bar with a great bar tender! Easy access to all the famous Hiroshima sights.

We booked this hotel as part of a last minute change in travel plans. It was the only hotel in Hiroshima that had vacancy (and it only had 1 room left). The fact that they had a room and it was affordable was enough to get 5 stars in my book! But the hotel itself was very nice. It was in a great area, not far from the shopping arcade, maybe a 15-20 minute walk from Peace Park and a Memorial Peace Museum, and about a 900 yen cab ride from the station. It has two restaurants on the 1st floor, one I believe was french (didn't eat there) and the other was New York themed. I recommend their burgers! They also had live music several nights out of the week. The staff was very friendly. Most of them speak pretty decent English but won't hesitate to switch over to let you practice your Japanese skills! The room was VERY small. It was clean but I wouldn't call it pretty. But it was fine for the 2 nights we were there. May have been too much to handle if we had stayed longer. All in all, I would recommend it to future travelers. We enjoyed our time in Hiroshima!

very nice hotel, location is good, close to city and train, room are a little small but have everything you need including internet port for laptop. Nice restaurant also located inside hotel

The hotel was beautiful, rooms were great and service excellent. The only thing lacking would be recreational facilities like a pool or gym. The New York restaurant downstairs was excellent, if maybe just a little bit expensive.

This hotel is in a great location. Close walk to Peace Park. Lots of restaurants & bars around the hotel. Staff was very friendly & helpful with directions & recommendations...

The hotel was great, nice rooms, nice employees but Hiroshima is a difficult location as everything is so spread out. Not much around the hotel either but it's within a three-four block walking distance from the major alley ways that has shopping and restaurants. Overall loved the hotel but had to take a taxi from the JR/Shinkansen station to and from the hotel (distance was too far) and then either walked or took the streetcar around. Suggest buying the one or two day streetcar pass, it's much cheaper that way.

Small but comfortable rooms with great view over the city. All major attractions can be reached by walking. Some great night life just around the corner.

We had a semi-double room which was a bit small for us European size people. Little or no space to store baggage, bumping elbows in the bathroom. Hotel itself was very nicely located and service was good.

Even though listed on our bilingual map of Hiroshima as located in "a bit of a dodgy area", my family and I found the Oriental to be a hotel of exceptional quality and the surrounding area an interesting, bustling neighborhood where we had no issues taking our little guy out late for some good food, karaoke, and some time at the 24-hour arcades. The rooms themselves were more spacious than expected, and we entertained ourselves at each other's expense whenever using the large bathroom surrounded entirely by glass and on full display for everyone in the room (don't worry, you can draw shutters for a degree of privacy). The A-bomb dome and Peace Memorial Museum and park are only a few blocks away, though access to the streetcars that run through the city are a little less accessible. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in a beautiful, peace-loving city that has risen from the ashes of one of the worst atrocities in human history, and are grateful for the entire experience.

Nice hotel located in the central area of Hiroshima but not on walking distance from the station. Good lobby with internet pc en library. Possibility for breakfest, lunch and diner (expensive). Better go down town

We stayed at the hotel for one night while we visited the Peace park and museum in Hiroshima. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the Park so a very easy walk. It is a cab ride from the train station, that will cost around $15. It is also close to the large downtown district. The hotel is very trendy and the lobby is decorated extremely well. The rooms are the smallest we had on our trip and a bit plain. That being said it wasn't uncomfortable. We didn't spend much time at the hotel so it is fine for someone planning to tour. It was very cleanly as well.

This hotel is ok. It met all of our needs and provided a clean, comfortable room, but it was not outstanding. The location is decent.

주차요금 따로 받는거 빼곤 전체적으로 좋아요. 직원들 교육이 잘되어 있어요. 추천!

チエックインの際に角部屋のアップグレードを紹介されベッドも広くなるという事なので追加料金もわずかだったのでアップグレードにした。部屋はとても快適でベッドもとても広く寝心地も最高によかった。 ホテルからは歩いていける範囲で食事を出来る所も多くメインの路面電車の駅までも 10分ほどだったので普段歩きなれていな人も 街をぶらぶらしながら歩ける。 次回も是非このホテルにしたいと思えるいいホテルでした。おススメです。

Останавливались две ночи. Сама гостиница очень неплохая. Сверху вид на хиросиму итд итп. Только вот от вокзала не близко и до центра тоже. Потому пришлось туда-сюда походить...

眺めがよい部屋だったので、日の入り、夜景がきれいでした。　平和公園へも歩いていけましたので大変便利でした。

Very close to the Peace Park or Hijiyama park, and a lovely neighborhood with an active and interesting nightlife and plenty of restaurants

Het hotel ligt gunstig en heeft een schitterende lobby. De kamers zijn mini-hokjes met minibadkamers. Uitzicht is prachtig maar de airco is niet te regelen. Wij brandden smorgens ons bed uit. In november! Plenty andere hotels in de directe omgeving, laat de Oriental dan maar even voor wat het is.

Zimmer des Hotels liegen in den oberen Stockwerken und sind daher relativ ruhig. Entfernung zur Straßenbahn ca. 10 Minuten. Ansontens gutes Standard Business Hotel. Für den Preis absolut empfehlenswert.

Hotellet er beliggende tæt på hovedbanegården, tæt på indkøbsområder, 5 minutters gang fra Fredsmuseet og A-Bomb-Dome, som er et absolut must for alle besøgende i denne by. Hvad enten man vil tage et cruise til Miyajima, eller tager sporvognen og færge, er der meget kort afstand til transport. Desuden en overflod af billige taxaer, som hotellet tilkalder med nærmest sekunders varsel. Vi prøvede ikke hotellets restaurant, men andre gæster, vi talte med, berømmede især aftensmaden.

L'hotel è sicuramente tra i migliori che ho abitato in Giappone. Ottima posizione, a due passi dal centro e dai servizi commerciali oltre ad essere a pochi passi dalla stazione della metro. ottimo

Goed hotel. Een erg kleine kamer maar wel van alle gemakken voorzien. Mooi uitzicht vanuit de kamer. Hotel ziet er netjes uit, personeel is vriendelijk. Locatie is prima.

Nous avons été très contents de cet hôtel. La chambre etait un peu petite. A l'arrivée, on nous a demandé si nous voulions une chambre plus spacieuse (mais avec une augmentation du prix). Nous avons refusé car nous n'y passions que 3 nuits. Très propre, silencieux et très bien situé notamment par rapport aux rues piètonnes (avec les verrières). Par contre, un peu loin de la gare, mais bon, c'est très correcte. Une très bonne adresse pour se restaurer pas cher : lorsque vous sortez de l'hôtel, à votre droite, une petit mini restau au premier coin de la rue, à 30 mètres environ.
