Melia Granada - غرناطة

The rooms was very noisy and you could hear the people in the other room. The staff on the other hand was nice and very helpful, but i think the hotel is going to e renovated, because the floors higher up was nicer and more new. The beds vas a bit hard, but all in all i would recomend this hotel because of its situation in the center and thaht all in all its very nice hotel

Grear modern spot centrally located. No air conditioning could be an issue in the summer. Room was nice, good size, good shower, overall good value.

free internet service should be provided in the room if the hotel wanted to improve its service standard

Is just in the middle of the city and you can walk to everywhere.The public transportation is fine and not spensive.Beuatiful city, good food ,and no spensive to be an eropean country.About the money exchange , go to Westwern Union at Gran Via of Granada, is the, I received .67 for each dollar, thats good in this time.Ah! dont paid spensinve breakfast at Hotel, go to Cafe del Futbol very near fron hotel.Enjoy Granada!

Exactly in the centre of the city with lots of shops and restaurants within two blocks. Convenient drop off point from the airport bus with a five minute walk to the hotel. Try the breakfast buffet - if you are a Melia card member, you get 50% off the breakfast rates. Highly recommendable.

I would normally give this hotel a 4 star, however, due to the great help that I received, I gave it a 5 star. There are some tired aspects to the hotel, but it is staff and location that are more important to me.

The location is good,very city center and even so quiet. Good building,a bit small rooms,oldish...carpets in corridors in the border of...no indication as the other hotels: a nightmare to get to the adress! No direct acsess from the garage.Poor service.Arriving by car:nearly impossible,any psiibility to stop for drop-off luggage.Nor realy recomendable,need a lot of improvement.Misleading publicity in hotel information.

The lobby is nice and has free wireless. It is also located one block away from a row of restaurants that are open late night. The entrance of the path up to Alhambra was also about 15 mins away. One annoyance was the absence of a beverage machine. The major con was the cleaniness of the beds. We noticed that there was stray hair or two on the sheets and also the sheets themselves had permanent black streak marks. The front desk was able to provide another set of sheets immediately, however these also had some permanent black streak marks. We decided to just bear with it since they were at least fresh, and it was a one night stay. My advice is, at some point just donate the old sheets and get new ones!

Very well located to lots of tourist destinations. Room was nice and enjoyed my stay

For a very fair price (in november), this is a high-quality 4 star hotel in an ideal location in downtown granada, perfect for exploring the hills and the town without being constantly surrounded by the tourist markets. great bed, clean room, fantastic town. the only downside would be the grouchy man behind the front desk, who tried to charge us for breakfast without our consent, then rudely argued that we agreed to it. the bell man was very gracious, however.

Located close to all the sights, surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops. The friendliest and most helpful staff that I have encountered in a very long time. The hotel breakfast is tops. Will certainly come back to this hotel in the future, Granada is most beautiful and friendly.

Location is perfect and the quality is great in general. Just a couple of things to note: there is no Internet in the rooms, but it's free in the lobby (ask for the user/pass at the reception). Also, don't assume all rooms have double beds or are non-smoking. Weirdly enough many rooms have individual beds, or allow smoking (and stinks). Make sure you specify what you want when you do your reservation.

Very good hotel very good location but it was so noisy when you open room window. When I stayed at the hotel, American college students stayed at different floor and talking without closing their room window even after mid night.

hotel was very conveniently located for the sites of granada. but more importantly, the hotel was top notch in comfort, style and cleanliness. it may have been the nicest hotel i stayed in for the money during my travels in spain.

Hotel is nice.

This hotel was in a good location to see everything on foot in Granada. We stayed three nights and were comfortable. The staff was a bit cool, but then we are used to American friendliness. Breakfast was wonderful and we walked everywhere - even up to the Alhambra (quite a hike!) Loved Granada!!! What a busy, historic, beautiful city!

We got a great rate to stay here for a few days. Very comfortable hotel of high quality. Very close to center city, and a block away from a street full of 20+ restaurants. Highly recommended.

The Hotel was nice and in a great location. Just a block off of one of the main Granada arteries. The main hallways could use some updating, but the room was nice. WiFi access was good in the lobby, but didn't work in our room. Don't expect to have a view of the Alhambra from the hotel. Some of the staff really made it seem like it was a chore for them to help you. Some of them were great, but one or two of the main reception staff are pretty staunchly and old-school snooty. In fact, we felt like we were inconveniencing them so much, we went to the tourist office a few blocks away to buy Alhambra and Flamenco tickets. Overall, it's a 3-star hotel.

stayed three nights here, room was the biggest and nicest that we had in all of France and Spain and at the lowest price. staff was very helpful location was excellent, on a quiet street yet in the heart of downtown and walking distance to everything bathroom was huge and very modern, everything was spotless

This is a great hotel. It's right in the middle of everything. The staff are very helpful and fluent in English. The only drawback is that the only free wi-fi is in the hotel lobby.

Of all the hotels we stayed in in Spain, this room was a favorite as far as A/C. Could even get TOO cold in the room! The lobby is also very nice.

This Hotel is a Walking distance of every thing, nice employed and very helpfull, free WIFI,

The hotel is well located and close to most areas worth visiting, the staff is very friendly and knowledgable of the activities and places to visit, out of the 6 hoteles we were in during our last trip to Spain, Melia's staf was one of the best prepared to cater to tourists. Altgough some of the common areas are lacking maintenance, the overall staff friendliness and quality of the service makes up for it.

We loved this hotel! Really clean, great staff, and the perfect location - right next to Puerta Real. The street behind this hotel has some great restaurants and tapas, but close the window and you can close out the sounds in the street. Every bus you could possibly need stops at Puerta Real, so it's the perfect hotel for cheap transportation anywhere you want to go, including the Alhambra and Albaycín.

This hotel is a real gem and I would highly recommend. It is clean, modern with great service and the location is perfect --close to the cathedral and shopping. It is fairly easy to find and the staff valet parked the car in secure parking for 18 Euros per day. The rooms are big with marble bathrooms and comfortable beds.

Beautiful hotel, conveniently located and in top condition. Great value

Great location for seeing Granada. The hotel itself has seen better days, and is pretty basic, but it is clean and in a perfect spot for seeing the city. The interior rooms are very quiet, but not the most interesting or atmospheric, which is a bit of a feat for a hotel in such an increbilbly atmospheric town. Two small elevators for a large hotel also makes for an interesting ride. If your driving to the hotel, remember to pack the GPS.

We loved this hotel, we loved the great location of it. It's very central. The room was big, clean & quiet. They have robes & all vanity supplies. You may want to get the premium room to get the 5 stars ambiance of your own room, it's definitely worth it rather than get a small standard room in an actual 5 stars hotel. We also loved the free internet connection. The only thing they are missing is the coffee machine or small kettle with instant tea & coffee. But this is something is pretty common in Spain unlike other European countries we visited such as UK, Germany & Italy where hotels usually have a kettle, cups & instant coffee & tea.

Overall the room was great, the beds were comfortable and it was in a good location - walking distance from everything, Plaza Nueva was right around the corner. Internet is free in the lobby. Our only complaint was that our room was facing the street behind the hotel, so it was a bit noisy throughout the night.

The hotel is close to the Alahambra and downtown historical sites. We got a lot for a small price, comparatively. Staff was friendly and helpful. Resturants and Tapas bars are within walking distance. We would stay here again if we return to Granada.

They claim they have free internet in the lobby and you can pay €12 for internet in your room. The internet in the lobby was terrible, so I paid the €12 thinking that I would get an excellent connection. However, the connection speeds were painfully slow. I asked for their IT guy and he admitted that it was slow and that there was nothing he could do about it. The IT guy was nice and I understand it was not his fault... When I asked for my €12 back the staff at the front desk questioned me and acted like I was crazy. I'm in the IT business and I know what I'm talking about. Their internet is too slow, so if you planned to use it to map your itinerary or look up stuff to do, do so before you get to the hotel.

Yes, everything was great, a good size room for Europe, right in the middle of all the sights and sounds of the city. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Staff was friendly and courteous.

We loved the location (fantastic). The staff was more than helpful. Check-in was a breeze. Rooms were so comfortable and clean. We took this hotel off the website without knowing anything about it. Would go back in a heartbeat.
