Alpenhof Bed and Breakfast - ميديا

We enjoyed our stay at Alpenhof. The staff was friendly, the breakfast delicious. The grounds and interior of the house were filled with sights that delight the eye. Friendly dogs only added to the appeal. We were visiting Swarthmore College and the Alpenhof was easy to find using the GPS (Use North Ridley Creek Rd in the address). The only drawbacks were the road noise (not an issue once the ear plugs went in) and the stairways could be challenging for some people. Be prepared for an eclectic layout, which added to the appeal for me, but I can see it being offputting for some. We will definitely try to book the Alpenhof whenever we find ourselves back in the area.

Truly a B&B experience. Generous made-to-request breakfast; more than I could eat. Staff exhibited an exemplary example of B&B hospitality; will be basing all future B&B experiences against this first experience. Definitely recommend.

The title says it all. Great breakfast cooked to order, friendly hosts, two great dogs, beautiful gardens! Definitely recommended!

Breakfast was great, we were locked out of our shared bathroom by our neighbors, they don't make everyday- you do.

I was very surprised to find that the B&B owners had 2 large dogs. I didn't read anything about that on the website nor in the reviews and definitely would not have stayed there if I had.

Best breakfast I've had in a long time and quite a comfy bed, although I had to climb into it. Best black-out shades I've ever seen. Beautiful landscaping I could get lost in. Quite a pleasant experience with a great host/owner/cook.

The building is a 16th century converted barn, with a beautifully preserved exterior. There is a pool and a hot tub. The grounds are mountainous with several paths leading to beautiful and varied gardens. The landscaping was spectacular. The interior was clean and neat. My room was very small. The bed was comfortable but, very soft. Pillows were better that most. The television was probably a thirteen inch (too small) but, did not work. The main and bathroom doors had keypad entry. The bathroom was Jack-and-Jill style. From inside the bathroom, you could flip a switch to keep the other residents from coming into the bathroom but, you could go into either room from the bathroom. There was no way to secure your belongings while you were out. The walls were not insulated so, you could literally hear everything in the next room. I felt uncomfortable taking an early shower as, I was afraid of waking the other residents. I expected a common living area. The staff were friendly and accomodating, always asking if there was anything they could get for me. The owner and another staff member had a heated discussion regarding life-choices right under my open window disturbing the quaint, idilic setting. The dogs were extremely well behaved and quiet. The breakfasts were delicious with numerous selections. Tea and bottled water are always available.

This was our first ever experience at a Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in the Master Suite. It was a well furnished room, very different but we liked it. Even liked the books on display. Host was very nice. Breakfast was outstanding. Location was perfect for where we were visiting. We'll go back again.
