Holiday Inn Exp Gulou Chengdu - شينجدو

This was a nice hotel to stay in for China. The room and hotel were clean. The beds were comfortable (even by western standards). The staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed, from making dinner reservations to directions for a taxi. There is not much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, there was a grocery store nearby and a few small local restaurants, but most of the tourist things and restaurants were a little further away (not a long taxi ride though) and we did walk to Tianfu square from the hotel a few times, it was not too bad of a walk. The only complaint we had was that our non-smoking room smelled very badly of smoke. We asked about it and we were told we were on the non-smoking floor, but other than that we really enjoyed our stay at the holiday inn express and would definitely stay again.

I would recommend this hotel. I was on a nice side street and It was really easy to get a taxi from outside the hotel. I found it close enough to walk around the city and explore. I would stay here again if in Chengdu.

Staffs are extremely friendly & helpful. The room was clean although a bit small. One thing i don't like is the shower room, they should put a lock.

Excellent location! Can easily walk to the downtown shopping areas in about 10 minutes. Lots of little xiao chi's around, so food is easy to find at all hours of the day. Getting a cab is also very east. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was also very clean.

These beds were the only ones in our entire trip that were soft!!

Excellent service, very welcoming reception staff, not overly helpful business/tour staff, nice breakfast, lovely shower, comfy (soft) bed. Got upgraded as we arrived too early for check-in.

The hotel was excellent. The beds were the best we had throughout our 15 days in China. So comfortable. The hotel was a bit out of the main area, but taxis are so cheap so it realy wasnt a problem. I would like to say though, that the drivers in Chengdu did seem in more of a hurry than the other places we visited in China. In fact if you have a heart condition I would suggest closing your eyes when in a taxi !!!!!!!!! The breakfast was an added bonus as I didn`t know that it was included in the price of the room, and the variety of food was very good. The only down side was the fact that there was not a fridge in the room, but seeing as most people staying at the hotel were only in for one night, or on business, I suppose the powers that be, dont see a need for a fridge. I would defientely recommend this hotel to my friends even with the absence of a bar fridge.

This hotel is an efficiency hotel, so expect that, efficiency. The front desk always had someone speaking English available. The internet is a little flaky, but is included in the price. The location is really good, central to most things, and convenient to shopping. Construction is happening all around, so expect some noise, but it's not bad. The price is very good, housekeeping is done well, and the staff is very friendly.

I booked this hotel to save a little bit of money. I now wish that I had gone ahead and spent the extra cash to be more centrally located. This hotel was not close to any of Chengdu's tourist sights and cabs were a little hard to get. There were a few restaurants in the area but they tended to cater to the locals. Most of the restaurants were small and didn't have English menus. If you don't mind eating at a open air, street food restaurant, you would be pleased with the quality of the food and how cheap it is. But chances are you would be eating at makeshift tables with dogs running around. This can be pleasant for some, but definitely a turn off for other people. The free breakfast in the hotel was very good. It had both Western and Chinese dishes. There was also free internet in the rooms. One big turn off was upon checking out, they made me wait for the maid to count the towels. She couldn't find one and they were going to charge me for it, until I told them to check the on the bed. Sure enough it was there and I was free to go. There are 3 Holiday Inns in Chengdu and I didn't have the address written out in Chinese characters. My cab driver didn't understand so he drove me to the huge Holiday Inn Century City. It took about an hour and about $20 to correct this mistake. So

不錯我選擇! 酒店服務員態度殷勤，房間雖然不算很大但勝在乾淨舒適。由酒店到春熙路各總府路都尚算方便約10-15分鐘便可達。

飯店位於主幹道的巷子內，出租車司機經過附近卻仍要繞路才找得到；我住在成都的朋友要來飯店找我，在附近地鐵站找不到飯店，打電話詢問櫃台，櫃台人員卻要她步行繞一大圈，顯然是只知道行車的路線，對於市區觀光也不慎清楚，應改進。

Para tourismo.. Este hotel tiene es muy bueno. Yo fue por negcios y todos los dias tenia que ir en taxi 30-40 mins hasta el pabellon international de chengdu. Este hotel esta en el centro. La gente muy amable y el hotel limpio.

さすが、Holiday Innは安定しています。(Expressですが) ・英語を話せる従業員 ・無難なビュッフェ朝食(アメリカ風＋中華) ・無料のWifi 中国語は全く話せないので、英語が通じるのはとても助かりました。 他のお客も、欧米からの観光客や、出張ビジネスマンが多かったと思います。 部屋も至って普通です。 他の経験 ・観光スポットからは少し離れてることもあって、TAXI多用しました。 ・TAXIで中国漢字で書いたホテル名見せて、空港や市内各地から無事たどり着けました。 ・ホテルのフロントで、"明日何時にどこまでTAXIお願いしたい"、と伝えて、呼んでもらいました。 　また、乗る時にも、従業員が運転手に行き先を中国語で伝えてくれて、良かったです。 ・近くにコンビニあります。 お金かけたくないけどリスクは嫌、といった若者等の旅行には、適当だと思います。

시내 중심에 있어서 이동이 편리하였으나 주변 거리는 혼잡했습니다. 방 안에서도 wifi가 잡혀서 편리했고 아침 식사로 제공되는 부페도 깔끔하니 좋았습니다. 룸상태도 청결했고 깔끔한 인테리어도 마음에 들었습니다. 냉장고는 따로 요청해야 가져다 주나 큰 문제 없습니다.

Hotel rapport qualité/prix interessant. Style moderne, et un peu impersonnel
