Kilkenny River Court Hotel - كيلكيني

The hotel is off the street so less noisy and very comfortable country-style hotel with a riverside section. No disturbances in the building either but I did wear earplugs. Room was very clean and comfortable although the shower was poor and the disabled toilet was not clean. Very close to everything including the train station. There is a great Italian across the street called Little Italy and the castle is close by for walking on a sunny morning.

The only real fault I could find with the room was the temperature, it was too hot and no air conditioning. There was however an electric fan which came in very useful. I can only imagine it would have been very uncomfortable in summer.

The Kilkenny River Court hotel is in a perfect location right in the middle of town and across the river from Kilkenny Castle with great photo views from the dining area. Parking was also very convenient for the hotel - but watch carefully for the sign as it comes up immediately after crossing the bridge. Staff was helpful. The room was clean and comfortable although is starting to show minor signs of wear. That being said, however, I would highly recommend this hotel and be happy to return.

Whle the location was perfect, the room felt quite old and distressed. We were expecting more for this hotel based on the reviews we researched. However, the breakfast buffet was excellent.

Great hotel in a lovely location having great customer service along with a proper sit-down breakfast with all the trimmings. Highly recommendable. (decor in room slightly dated and could do with a refresh)

Perfect base for all kilkenny has to offer day & night Delicious breakfast & dining room with lovely views of the castle. Staff were lovely & v friendly. Would recommend without hesitation.

All 10 of my family where delighted with the standard of the hotel- a busy weekend and yet staff stood out of the training they had, a very high standard,--we all commented on the delight of the lay out of this hotel- one little negitive, a heater in the beautiful out door garden at night would have been a delight.--thank you for the reward of spending money!

The Kilkenny Rivercourt hotel commands an enviable setting over looking the river and castle, in the heart of the city. Excellent levels of service throughout stay. Yummy breakfast. I will definitely be returning.

Not for the young but more for the old. Internet in room doesn't work unless you are prepared to be standing in the hall way. Thin walls and dingy carpets. Decor is not 21st century. All see better days.

I think that a hotel that in incapable of serving a guest with 2 slices of toast within 15 minutes after they started their breakfast late, is not one that should be catering to business travellers. Good location, relatively unsafe way into the hotel from the road though given that there is no separate are for pedestrians and cars and it is quite narrow. Early finish for a restaurant and leisure centre as well I thought. Probably great for those who are not business travellers with limited time in the morning and arrive back late in evening.

Our stay in this hotel was wonderful. The rooms were clean, the food in the restaurant was very good, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The lovely shopping area of Kilkenny is within a two minute walking distance which was highly advantageous as my mother has mobility problems. Kilkenny is a lovely medieval city and the boutiques make for a wonderful shopping experience. A walk along the the river is a must-see, and the promenade is kept clean.

Love the location. There's a beautiful waterside walkway that starts across from the hotel. Go over the bridge and turn left. An alternative on the hill above (access near the end of the walk) leads you back. The food was good, but I'd give it a 3.5 or 4, instead of five.

We really enjoyed our stay. Wished we had more time to spend. We love Kilkenny so we will be back lovely breakfast and very reasonably priced bar food

Lovely Hotel in the Heart of Kilkenny town. Room was perfect and breakfast in the morning was beautiful.

Nice hotel very good front line staff throughout hotel. No problem parking. Swimming pool opening hours could be listed when advertising hotel facilities as they seem very restricted.

Really nice, great staff who gave us food or the ducks, atmosphere good, one small problem walls VERY thin and despite the noise policy Guests celebrating early Christmas coked be hear. BUT we will go here again and again!

The location was excellent and the staff were amazing...superior service!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It is a beautiful setting along the river & having the castle right across the river made it a precious. The breakfast was more than we could have imagined, so many different items to chose from. While we were there we were able to walk the streets of Kilkenny and see all of the sights as well as visit the shops.

We had a lovely few days in Kilkenny, the hotel was fine, I do have to say that the heat of the room made it very uncomfortable. This was with the radiator turned off. Had to leave windows open all night in order to try and get some air to circulate.

Almost everything wonderful. BUT didn't think we should pay for parking. €5 very little but it's just the general idea of it. Secondly heat in room was excessive, difficult to sleep, no air conditioning.

Bed a was a light stiff, but other than that it was great!

WE HAD A LOVELY STAY AT THE HOTEL AND THE STAFF WERE MOST HELPFUL.

Second stay for the Ploughing and worth the few extra minutes driving to the show. From all accounts it was better to travel to Kilkenny than Waterford. Location is convenient for eating out, although bar food was excellent. Pool is nice - but remember to bring a hat as you'll have to buy one if you don't.

This was probably our favourite hotel on our stay in Ireland. Location is great, right in Kilkenny, with the view of the castle. Great for touring the surrounding area. There are many nice restaurants neaby. Hotel is clean. Double room was spacious. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a treat.

Would definitely go back, Staff was very nice and breakfast was lovely. The bedroom was very comfortable and the location was perfect.. very short walk home form the pub :-)

We had a lovly stay..The only complaint woz our dinneir in the restaurant on friday nite woz not wot u would exspect from a four star hotel, it woz very poor.Would stay in hotel again but would not eat in restaurant.

Lovely room, v reasonable, great location, excellent food, staff were v friendly- couldn't do enough to help us- I'll definitely be back.

My room had a view of Kilkenny Castle. I would recommend this hotel.

Was l;ovely - just a shame they didnt tell us when checking in that there was a fee for car park, they just surprised us with bill when checking out - otherwise was perfect

Extremely friendly staff with great views, easy parking and convenient location to everything. Only drawback is the size bed in standard room, states good for 2, but was very tight. Pleasant staff were very accommodating and went above.

Very close to town and castle, useful for retaurants and siteseeing. Nice to have the outside bar and snack area overlooking the castle and river. Staff very friendly and helpful.

This was a beautiful hotel. Food was great and staff were excellent. Hard to get into parkling lot, but once you park you can walk around town. Only complaint was that the pool closed at 7:00 p.m. Would definately recommend.

Lovely hotel situated perfectly for visiting Kilkenny with Matt the Millers pub just across the street providing music n entertainment. We stayed on a Sunday night and, although I didn't confirm this myself, one of my colleagues was told that hotel restaurant was not open on Sunday night. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in Kilkenny so you will be spoilt for choice. The breakfast at the hotel was absolutely gorgeous with the fresh fruit salad the best I have ever had! I travelled with Irish and American visitors and we all would defintely recommend the Rivercourt.

Weather not great, however hotel was lovely. The staff were the nicest I have ever come accross. Leisure centre really nice and Marcus who looked after this end was very pleasant. Spa treatments very nice also. Beautiful location along the river looking up at kilkenny castle and lovely walks along the riversides. Plenty of restaurants/bars in area also. Breakfast in hotel super. Will return.

We were very happy with this place. WE loved the town and Hurling Team "cats" as turned on to sport. Place was clean, great location and solid value. Woudl recommend to anyone.

Excellent Stay from perfect location across the street from the castle to accommodating staff, to clean, comfortable and charming room!

The hotel had two weddings going on during our stay. The guests were rather noisy very late into the night. The doors in the hotel banged shut all night long. The staff seemed less friendly than other hotels in Ireland maybe because they were so busy. The location of the hotel was good. Very convenient. You could walk to everything. But no AC in the rooms so it got a little stuffy.

Great place, great location overlooking Kilkenny Castle. Be sure to enjoy a cocktail or meal on the terrace. Plenty of food at breakfast. Staff was very pleasant.
