Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens - فورتونا

What an exceptional place! Our room was immaculate, the view of Arenal volcano was incredible, the outdoor shower and jacuzzi were perfect... But what made this stay superior was the staff. They were so attentive and accomadating, so quick to be sure everything was perfect! And always answered any request with "con mucho gusto", with much pleasure, and they meant it! And be sure to make time for the breakfast buffet, it was delish, and don't get me started on the sushi...

Beautiful private room with inside and outside showers. Room are set up so that even though they are next to each other but because of the vegetation around gave it secluded feeling. Lots of birds on property. Has a nice deck with sauna to enjoy or just to sit on the chairs or hammock. most of the staff are helpful and attentive. Breakfast buffet has good selection. Sushi restaurant on site is quite good. Highly recommend this hotel.

If you're looking for the true Costa Rica, this is not the place for you. The rooms, individual casitas (small houses) are beautifully decorated and situated, with a view of the Arenal Volcano, outdoor jacuzzi and outdoor shower, as well as an indoor shower. It is classy and clean, but lacking in overall ambience. You really could just as easily be in Miami. The service was ok, the people helped when asked, but seemed kind of grumpy. The spa was alright - the massage good - but the volcano mud mask was NOT a volcano mud mask, it was a facial. There is no hot springs on premises and the pool is kind of small and not really inviting. They try hard to create these private romantic spaces, but it doesnt really work.

Spacious, modern rooms with beautiful grounds. The staff were so friendly and accommodating to our family. They said "anything is possible at Nayara" at it couldn't have been more true. The food was delicious, views spectacular and we really felt we were being well taken care of. We can't wait to return!

If you are going to stay in this area you really need to book this hotel and not even second guess yourself. The wife and I stayed two nights and wish it was the entire week. The hotel is a 5 star venue up and down and really is a bargain for the type of room, amenities and service that is extended here. Downtown is a quick cheap cab ride away and since its a boutique type of resort there isnt thrones of people constantly bombarding you at every turn. Highly recommend this hotel and really hope I get to go back soon for a longer stay. BOOK IT!

This place is THE best hotel I have ever stayed at. VERY romantic, perfect for honeymooners!!!

Not sure if hotel is the proper term as it seemed more like a resort. My wife and I had a wonderful stay from 10/22-10/29/11. The grounds are wonderfully landscaped and kept clean. There was some construction in-process while we were there, but it had minimal impact on our stay. Our casita was awesome and was spotlessly cleaned daily. We greatly enjoyed the deck, the outdoor shower, and the view of the volcano. Jonathon and the rest of the concierge staff were great. We booked all our excursions through them and they were more than helpful when we wanted to change things around. Randall and Tony at the pool bar were always friendly and quick to fill requests. It semed like whenever the bar was caught up, they circulated the pool area to see if anyone needed anything. The wine bar proved to be a nice place to relax in the evening. The food in the restaurant was always very good. The included breakfast buffet changed slightly everyday and the omelets were always good. The lunch and dinner menu were varied and everything we tried we enjoyed. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The location of the property made trips to town and van rides to excursions relatively easy. We would highly recommend the Arenal Nayara to anyone looking to enjoy a romantic and relaxing stay in the Arenal area of Costa Rica.

I am from Los Angeles and used to a considerable degree of quality and luxury. When considering where to stay in Arenal, I must admit I was a little concerned about whether Nayara would be on par with my high standards. When I arrived at the Hotel, I soon realized that Nayara would far exceed all my expectations. This place is great. What is so amazing about this place is the attention to detail. No expense was spared to ensure the highest quality of service. Nayara is by far the best hotel in the area and the only negative is that you will be so spoiled it will be hard to enjoy another hotel that does not meet the Nayara standard. A lot of debate around this hotel centers around whether it is better than the Tabacon, the other high quality hotel in the area. Aware of this debate I took a trip to the Tabacon to compare. While the Tabacon is a great hotel too, I truly believe that Nayara is better because each guest has their own cabana with absolute privacy. At the Tabacon all guests stay in the same building which in my opinion undermines the quality. Thus, I would recommend staying at the Nayara over the Tabacon. Please support this wonderful place you will not be disappointed.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Every tour was booked/arrange once we mentioned it to the front desk. My boyfriend and I had a private dinner for two...our own chef and hostess. While we were at dinner they placed flowers in our room and prepared the hot tub for us...it was a totally unexpected surprise and very romantic. Our room had the most amazing view of the volcano! I loved every minute of my stay here. I comment that I do not recommend this place for families or couples with smaller children. Also, it can be a bit pricey, but it is definitely worth every penny!

We enjoyed our stay at the Arenal Nayara Hotel in Costa Rica. The room was amazing; we felt very secluded in our own little villa yet close to the amenities of the resort. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate most of our meals at the resort and the food was good. The bartender at the pool made great drinks especially the Mojito's!!! We enjoyed both the resort and Costa Rica very much. The resort lobby has laptops for use by the guests so there is no need to bring one. They also have a phone to call the states which was very helpful keeping in touch with famiy back home.. We would definately recommend this resort to everyone. It would be especially great for a honeymoon or milestone anniversary!!!

This was the perfect place for our Honeymoon!! Arenal Nayara was a beautiful Hotel with great staff, wonderful views, and very relaxing surroundings. Our suite felt very secluded and had a hot tub on the back patio, perfect for those romantic nights. The hotel is also in a great location, and we were able to go on some fun outdoor adventures around the Arenal and La Fortuna area.

If you are looking for an intimate, relaxing yet 4-star hotel experience, this is it. Nayara is exquisite and the service from start to finish was unbelievable. Rooms were immaculate and view of the volcano was every bit as fantastic as in the photos provided by the hotel. No mosquitos at all on our patio, at the pool or otherwise. Hotel also provides a convenient shuttle into Fortuna for free or will call a cab for you.

One of our favorite hotels destinations ever; great spa, great casitas, nice pool, delicious dining and a real romantic get-away. Service and ammenities were excellent. A real gem and worth the drive!

Incredible!!!! This was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. I felt like I was in a fairy tale and honestly I almost cried when we had to leave. The rooms, the people, the food were all wonderful and not only would I recommend it but if you dont stay there you will miss out on a opportunity of a life time. Thank You so much Nayara hotel.

The hotel itself was beautiful. The grounds were immaculate and the rooms were beautiful. The employees were not as gracious as one would expect, but they were efficient. The dining experience was ok with not a wide variety of foods on the menu.

Great hotel. Only recommendation is have a rental car in this area. Taxi cab rides in this area are very expensive and we didn't do as much as we wanted due to lack of transportation. Hotel is by itself and not in walking distance of anything!

And that is saying a lot since we stay in very fine hotels. Outstanding staff and food.

Typical CR style friendly service and relaxed check-in. Excellent chalet style layout with veranda featuring hot-tub, chairs and hammock. Plenty of wood floored space with TV & DVD player (films available from the front desk at no charge.) Two showers bathroom area (one outside). A great place to relax and unwind between the multitude of activities available in the area.

We were in Costa Rica from November 14-20 and stayed 4 days at the resort. It was absolutely beautiful and we loved our private bungalow. It was truly like being in paradise!! The view of the volcano from our deck was incredible.

The location and property are so beautiful and the view of the volcano from the back is fantastic. Hot tub and hummack also set the mood for this special place. Beautiful flower, birds, and butterflies are everywhere. Food is superb with high class presentation and service. Above all, the freindly staff and their dedication to make your stay a great experience is the highlight of our stay. They made us feel so much like home. My stay at Arenal Nayara was a perfect dream vacation. I wish we're back there now.

This is a new hotel - open only 2 years. The rooms, grounds and common areas are all beautifully maintained and luxurious. Staff was gracious and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was varied each morning and was extensive in its choices. We did not care for the nightly dinner specials, but had good choices available from the bar/poolside menu. Staff was extremely helpful in arranging local tours as well as transfer from La Fortuna to Manuel Antonio at the end of our 4 night stay.

I extended my 2 night stay by another night since I enjoyed the hotel and service so much. The hotel upgraded my room from a Deluxe to a Suite for no additional charge, which was great customer service. The Suite had an amazing view of the volcano and the private outdoor balcony with jacuzzi and outdoor shower were very private and a great touch. The concierge, Jonathan, was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed all the trips he helped us book - Canyoning/Rappelling and the Toro River White Water Rafting trips were truly adventurous! The breakfast was included and was decent. The one thing I didn't quite understand was why the hotel didn't include the service fee for the meal in the hotel rate (as was the meal) rather than have guests sign a bill just for the service fee. It seemed disruptive to the tranquil morning experience. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

This hotel was not only beautiful but also had a very friendly and helpful staff. The room had a wonderful view of the volcano, a jacuzzi on the terrace, an outdoor and indoor bathroom, nice menu that changed on a daily basis and two very friendly macaws!! It is a good 3 hours away from the airport but it's a very pleasant drive.

Der Bungalow mit Jacuzzi auf dem Balkon, einer Innen- und Aussendusche in wunderschöner Umgebung, mit Blick ins Grüne und auf den Arenal, war das Tollste und Schönste, was ich in Sachen Hotel je erlebt habe. Wir hätten stundenlang nur in der Hängematte unseres Luxus-Bungalows liegen und die Seele baumeln lassen können.
