This hotel was a great stopover prior to departing from Bellingham. Good location, easily accessible, friendly staff and affordable. The breakfast left something to be desired but nonetheless was something.

Clean comfortable room.A little close to I-5 for noise but better than the 4 star hotel we stayed at the day before.

I love the fact that you allow us pet lovers to bring our four legged family members with us. However, Econo Lodge Inn & Suites - Bellingham has a spa tub and a seasonal outdoor pool should actually read Bellingham has a seasonal spa tub and outdoor pool. This was misleading as it leads you to believe the Spa Tub is year round and it's not.

This is a very good place for the price but for one serious flaw. The mattress was so hard it hurt me! I will not stay again until they advertise new mattresses.

A lot of noise can be heard in neighboring rooms. Smells of stale smoke (we were in a non-smoking room) Mattress was horrible; could feel the springs. Pillows were incredibly hard. Not a good stay

This Econo Lodge was very noisey, Heard people all night... Lots of traffic noise also...didn't feel safe. Bed was very hard and blanket's need to be newer than what they were. Not such a great place, would never use it or suguest it to any others.

Nothing fancy. Decent and clean. The casino next door serves great food 24hrs at decent prices.

Pleasant room, continental breakfast was excellent and we left our car for a week and got a free ride to the airport for $30 which was a good deal.

Unfortunately, the soundproofing between upper and lower units is nonexistent, so I transferred out of my second story room into a third floor room after two nights. This was no hassle, although I was informed that I might have to pay more as the second room had two beds instead of one. But I was travelling solo so I only used one bed. As it turned out, I was not charged any extra for the move. The breakfast is quite nice, although the only real protein source are the hard-boiled eggs. Some little yogurts would improve the offerings, and the best thing of all would be one of those bake your own waffles from batter type machines, but those are certainly not everywhere. The hotel is very economical (hence the name!) and right next to the I-5 as well as Bellis Fair Mall, so the location is prime. Over-all, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Good location and hotel is being very well kept..

The hotel was nice and convenient. The price was really good. The only complaint was someone in the room above ours was either wearing high heels of was very heavy and they were walking into the wee hours. Also, breakfast is free but non-descript.

The free continental breakfast was ok. The beds were clean and comfortable. The room smelled nice. Close to Bellis Fair. I'd stay here again.

Great little budget hotel in Bellingham! We arrived late in the evening needing a place to crash before heading into Vancouver BC in the morning. The staff are all very friendly. The hotel is older but well maintained and clean. The continental breakfast is better than we thought it would be. They serve it from 6-10 AM so it's still being served if you sleep in. It's right off the freeway and near Bellis Fair Mall. Would stay here again!

close to no. 5 highway, convenient but noisy at night, good location only because close to Bellis Fair Mall and access to no. 5 highway.

Very comfortable on short notice. We were pleased with the quality.

When we checked in the front desk person was very nice and helpful checking us in, but the helpfulness ended there. We checked in late and after getting all unpacked and settled in we found out the tv didn't work. We called down to the front office and their only solution was to change rooms...said they couldn't just switch the tv. It was late and we had to get up early the next morning so this was not an option. The beds were hard and not very comfortable. There was graffity on the back of the bathroom door. The shower was unacceptable (low water pressure and only a light massage setting available). The hotel is located right off the freeway so you could hear the roar of traffic very well and although calming to some - not to everyone. The heater was so loud that is kept waking us up all night. I would not recommend this hotel at all. I'd sleep in my truck before staying here again. Very disappointed.

The Econo Lodge is a budge property but is more than adequate. We booked a room with 2 queen beds.There is a mini fridge,microwave and coffee maker in the room. There is an elevator for use.We enjoyed our complimentary cont'l breakfast which consisted of toast,cereal,fruit,boiled eggs,bagels and drinks.Bellis Fair Mall was a quick 1 minute drive down the street.Could easily walk it.There is a small casino next door which we didn't use. Shari's restaurant is about 1 minute down the street. This hotel is more than easy to access and find.Cost a little more than outskirting hotels, but loved the location because of Black Friday shopping. Would stay again.

good place to stay beds and pillows were not the best but over all it was good. Lots of value for the money only real complaint was that we could hears the people upstairs walking closing bathroom door. Even after that I would stay again only would ask to stay on top floor to avoid the noise.

Staff are pleasant and helpful, the rooms are modest but clean and definitely NO BED BUGS as we did a check after arrival. Can't beat the location for shopping and, while the rates keep rising, it is still reasonable. We were a bit put off at having to pay for the newspaper but if $l.50 is a big deal, maybe we should stay home!

Great hotel, super close to Bellis Fair Mall. Large clean rooms, friendly service and descent breakfast. I have stayed there twice and will continue staying here when shopping in the area.

Not intended to stay in Bellingham, but we booked at the last moment. Cozy nice place to stay with all amenities that are supposed to be in. At night it doesn't look that great, but during daytime it is a very convenient location, especially if you want to visit downtown Bellingham. Recommended.

I also had the unpleasant 5am wake up with all the workers getting on the buses. The real problem was that the workers also hung around the property all weekend smoking in the walkways and generally giving me the creeps. Felt like I was in a half way house. I am a working class guy, but if I had been with my girl it would have felt very uncomfortable. Also something to know is the rooms all have outside entrances. If you want to feel safe, this is not the place. I will say if this is your only choice in the price range, it was clean and the locations was very good to visit my child at WWU.

At 5:00AM a crowd of about 100 men and women gathered in the parking lot outside our room along with several buses. Several leaders called out all the names as the people boarded the buses. This whole process took about 1 hour. When I asked at the desk later in the morning I was informed that they were workers going home. No apology was given. I would never stay there again. That includes all Econolodges.

The Econo Lodge impressed me. Very clean rooms, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, coffeemaker, etc. The only complaint I had was we were put on the bottom floor and people went out front of our room to smoke and talk, walls were very thin. Bed was pretty hard, but I deal with arthritis in my hips so that could be a problem for only me.

Good location. Great rate. Not to crazy about Being put on 3rd floor on back side of property, but it was quite. Great crash place and cheap and clean. Breakfast was. What it was. Muffins and juice and coffee.

The hotel is adequate if you're just looking for a reasonably priced, clean room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient to Bellis Faire Mall, but not downtown or WWU. Negatives- Sports bar/casino next door a bit shady, bathroom fan pulls cigarette smell from adjacent rooms, I5 noise unavoidable, very basic continental breakfast.

I stayed there first time on business in Bellingham. I chose them because of the price and location, and when I booked the hotel without much time to research due to my getting my assignment at such a short notice. Overall, the hotel is comfortable, clean, and convenient. Breakfast is good, considering they don't charge you extra. The only thing people should be aware is that one of the sides of the hotel runs along I-5. At night, you might speeding cars and trucks roaring by. Your options are either earplugs, put up with it, or pay more to "upgrade" to rooms on the other side of the building, which should be better in terms of noise.. BTW, the low price quoted is with these rooms! ,

The staff were friendly, the rooms were big and clean and it was very close to the mall.

My family and I were pleasantly surprised by the comfort and cleanliness of this older motel. The best thing is their continental breakfast, best we've had. There was so much to choose from, coffee, teas, real apple and orange juice, bananas, oranges, cereals, bagels, toast, muffins and hard boiled eggs! Located right by the I-5 and close to the Bellisfair mall, we'd stay here again and will recommend it to our friends.

Econo Lodge Inn and Suites was your average cheap hotel.... that being said, it was clean but the bathroom door had no lock!!! Yikes!!! There was wireless internet but no ethernet connection. Continental breakfast was about as cheap as I have experienced, If you're not too fussy, give them a try.

if you are looking for an ok stay overnight before a flight from bellingham airport, the price is right & they offer a $30 week long parking rate + tghey drive you to & from hotel, better then the $62 parking at airport

Stopped by this hotel on a late night trip and overall it was okay, staff were friendly and i appreciate them accomodating our late night check-in. Sadly, pillows were too soft and too few; had difficulty sleeping with the stuffiness in the room and noise from early morning guests leaving on their bikes. Despite this, would recommend this hotel if you nees cheap place to stay late night.

Nothing against the cleaning staff but this place was anything but fresh and clean. The carpet has been there for way too long and none of us wanted to put anything on it. Between the hard beds and road noise none of us slept hardly at all. Easy to find and the breakfast was okay. Wish we had booked somewhere else for the price we paid. I also wonder if we got the worst room in the place, other reviews suggested it had been renovated, no evidence of that in our room.

It is close to everything you need.

My daughter and i stayed here for one night as we were going to shop at The Bellis Fair Mall. The hotel/motel is only 2-3 blocks away from the mall, so very convenient for us. Was a cheap stay,the outside concrete walkways to the rooms(ours was on 3rd floor at the back of building) were a little scary to walk on in places,looked quite old and worn. Pool was clean but we didnt have the time to try it out. Walls are quite thin,you can hear the tv in the next room,but could dim out the noise with the air conditioning. Shower head was very weak, and the shower stall was grubby looking. But for one night and cheap i would stay again.

This place was okay for the price. Everyone was really nice and were able to make arrangements for our room to be easily accessible for my grandmother. The beds are uncomfortable but not awful ...I woke up with a bit of a sore back but was able to sleep through the night. Very close to the mall and highway. It is a bit noisy with people upstairs walking around but like i said for the price i would stay again.

I reserved 3 rooms for 8/19/11 for me & my family attending a WWU graduation on Sat, 8/20. I expected these rooms to be next to each other; instead, we're assigned rooms in 3 different floors! How unsatisfactory! Rm 128 where I stayed had the 2nd Q bed sag in the middle! Not good, either! The receptionist didn't even try to accommodate my wish of assigning us closer to each other. She just said, "we're fully booked for the night". I won't recommend this hotel to anyone with this kind of un-cooperativeness!

The Econolodge worked out just fine for a meeting I had to attend in a nearby Mall
