Newly updated. Small rooms. Nice spacious. Bathroom

This is an old building that has been nicely renovated with a beautiful bathroom and comfortable beds. It would ahve been nice to have a comfortable chair in the room, adn there room enough for one. There was only a simple straight-back chair that you wouldn't want to sit in too long. There there is no temp control in the room, and it was warm. Even though I asked at the desk about changing the temp, nothing changed, and they didn't seem to realize there was no temp control in the room. So I opened the window the full 2" that I could and let some cool air in. The air vent in the room constnanly blows and is a bit noisy, if that bothers you. Parking is provided as part of the room cost and is right next door in an open lot. A meager continental breakfast is also included and consisted of muffins, bagels, two cold cereals, fruit, juice and coffee. The young woman at the desk was able to recommend a restaurant nearby - The River Grille. It's not much too look at on the outside, but the food was very good.

Hotel is wonderful, very clean and spacious. Woud stay here again for sure.

Hotel was very clean but pictures on computer are not what the rooms look like....the room we were given was extremely small infact the bathroom was almost as big as the room! We were very disappointed! No way of adjusting the temp. in the room....good thing the window opened a few inches!. T.V. made a noise and was as old as the hills!

The hotel itself was gorgeous. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only issue I had with the room was the temperature. It was nearly freezing in the room.

A beautiful building in Easton, PA, but not satisfied with the room. Temperature cannot be controlled and the room was very hot ( and small) Bathroom was large and beautiful, but the towels were sparse and old. Bedspread was disgusting, pillows were awful.....

This is a wonderful hotel, friendly and helpful staff, it is a "go green" hotel which I do like, but the rooms heat and air are centrally controlled. You can not control your own, my room was very cold at night while sleeping a d all they could do was offer another blanket. Otherwise I would stay in this hotel again and would recommend it.

The room was smaller than they showed but really nice. Skip the continental breakfast cold coffee and very little to choose from. Great central location and some of the staff were very helpful.

My husband and I decided to stay at the Grand Estonian as a romantic getaway. We asked for an early check in at 3pm (check in is at 4) and were told absolutely not, but that we could come early and use facilities/see if the room was clean. we arrived at 3:30 and were told we couldn't check in until 4. We finally checked into a small room and spent most of the night sneezing, coughing, and with sore throats (we are both allergic to dust mites). Continental breakfast options were slim, and we each got a cup of cold coffee. The worst part was that I was rudely approached by a hotel clerk asking me why I was taking photos inside the hotel. She didn't seem satisfied with my answer that they were for my personal photo album. I will say again what another guest stated in a review. We were treated as if they were doing us a favor to let us stay in their hotel. My husband and I stay in a hotel twice a month just to get away. We will never stay at the Grand Estonian again! Though - the Green Cafe downstairs was absolutely fantastic, and I will definitely make the trip just to eat there again. Great food, great service, great attitude! The estonian should take a cue from their neighbor downstairs!

This hotel is very lovely and affordable. It is easy to find, has a grand entrance, nice eating establishment at the entrance, nice restaurance close by. Good parking, clean room with many upgrades. I will definitely stay again and suggest to friends.

Hotel was located downtown within walking distance of all the great resturants , pubs and shopping. The room was a bit cramped and the heat could not be controlled. VERY HOT!! But I would stay there again because of location. No available WiFi which was an inconvenience for business.

Great Hotel, Clean, simple, and perfect location! I repeat CLEAN...not as the other reviews.....

Small room but great bathroom - older tv - good location - can walk to many places for food and drink - free parking right next to hotel

Huge suites with so many uncommon hotel amenities. Absolutely beautiful and plenty of privacy. Only downside was mediocre breakfast, but overall good bang for your buck!

I was unhappy there was no coffeemaker in the room and also no ice bucket, etc.

i had a standard room ..very small

The staff were unfriendly and acted as if they were doing us a favor by letting us stay at their hotel! The room had been remodeled to have an elegant bath with whirlpool tub, but the hot water ran out before the tub could fill to a level to cover the whirlpool water outlets! The hotel said it was "wireless" throughout, but when I complained that I could not get internet access, they confessed that many times an ethernet cord had to be used. The breakfast that was included was sparce. There was no thermostat in the room to control the heat/air. The front desk said it would be fine because they are a green hotel. I froze during the night and did not have any extra blankets in the closet and only three pillows on the bed...unlike the Best Western and Hampton Inns that have at least 6 pillows on a King bed! I will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

Really cool newly renovated historic hotel...great location, clean, modern amenities. Awesome lap pool, and fantastic in room whirlpool tub & additional shower. I really appreciated the wood floors too. Made for a great stay, easy walk to pubs and restaurants, nice park right on the river as well!

Stayed in one of their "suites". Very small cramped feeling sleeping area, but huge living room. Had to walk across it to get to Spartan bathroom, which was small, but adequate. "Continental Breakfast" was a joke. Bad coffee served in industrial commercial 5 gallon jug with stale bagels or sugary cereal. Recontituted orangs juice in pint containers - but real food was available (at an upcharge). If you are going to do a breakfast and are trying to be a "class" hotel, do it right, or don't do it at all. Way overpriced for what it is, but convenient for family event I attended. Otherwise, would not go there. Better rooms at any chain! But was clean, etc, so gave it a good rating, but again, if not for the event, would not stay there at the price!

The Grand Eastonian Suites is a nice hotel in downtown Easton. Local shops, restaurants, and parks are all within walking distance. The rooms are a bit small, but the beds are huge and comfy. The bathroom in our room was huge as well. It had a big whirlpool tub, separate shower, and two sinks. It was quiet and felt very safe. Parking can be limited if you happen to be in town during a busy weekend. There is a small pool and fitness room; we did not use either, though. The hotel staff is friendly.

This was such a lovely surprise. We had a queen suite which was actually a one bedroom condo. Full gorgeous kitchen and dining room table for 4 but with two additional chairs available. We entertained friends for drinks and appetizers and could not have been more comfortable. Wonderful accommodations for the price.

The Grand Eastonian was a nice experience. The room had a view overlooking the Delaware River and the local parks. It's location was close (walking distance) to the Center Square and dining, entertainment and night life. The common areas were clean and simply decorated. The room had a king size bed that was comfortable with a nice bathroom with a glassed in shower and soaking jacuzzi tub.

All in all a great stay but with caveats: Nice bathroom with jacuzzi tub and separate walk in shower were much enjoyed. Comfortable king bed and bedding but small awkwardly shaped room with no space for a table or closet. No ice machine

We loved our stay at the Grand Eastonian. A 4-star hotel that's dog friendly, comfortable, friendly, in a great downtown Easton location, close to everything, and very reasonably priced. Even the continental breakfast was nice with home-made pumpkin muffins and fresh roasted coffee. And the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to our next visit.

I've recently stayed at the grand eastonian for the year anniversary of a tragic accident. Your accommodations were amazinf and also your hotel is very comforting well appreciated for a much needed get away.

I loved this hotel, it is incredibly clean and comfortable but it also has character. The room was nice, we had a great view, and the bathroom is luxurious. The whirlpool tub worked great, as did the free internet. Parking is also free and convenient, and breakfast is in a cute restaurant downstairs. Downtown Easton is also charming with great restaurants. Hotel is close to Lehigh Valley colleges.

Overall the stay was not bad, most importantly the room was clean. However it was in a bad area, parking situation was inconvenient, the room was too hot as you are not able to control the air conditioner yourself, if you want to order room service they give you a take out menu from a local pizza place and in order to get ice you have to go all the way down the the front desk.

we have stayed several times, but this time we realized that there is no individual air controls in room. it was very warm. other wise, great place

If you can get Room 704 do it! It was an unexpected surprise to find this room for the price we paid. It felt like a NYC loft. Would high recommend this hotel.

we stay four two nights at that hotel , it was nice , cozy one bedroom condo in little historical town .

This is a great find if you're looking for a fine hotel room in downtown Easton. One block from downtown square, it's upscale and nicely quirky (i.e. not a cookie-cutter hotel). We came to Lafayette graduation, stayed two nights and never got in our car. If you are reasonably fit, the College is a 10 minute walk. Highly recommended.

The Grand Eastonian was a historic hotel that underwent conversion into high end condo units during 2006. Because of the downturn in the market, many of the units did not sell and were recast as hotel suites. The suites are very spacious, the kitchens are well constructed but very sparsely equipped. The "fireplaces" in the blurbs are electric lights that generate no heat or atmosphere. The HVAC runs constantly and the vent directly over the bed gives you the sensation of sleeping on a runway. The lap pool is nice, the bathrooms are first rate and the suite is large. A real mix, but the best in the area.

this place was completely unexpected. when i booked for a two bedroom suite, i was expecting the usual - two tiny rooms with a small kitchenette (maybe) and a sitting area. what we got was a full-blown loft apartment for all intents and purposes. a beautifully appointed kitchen with brand new stainless appliances (just like home!), real cabinets, a high quality dining table with seating for six, a large seating area with a gas fireplace and widescreen (but no HD signal) tv, views of the delaware river and many downtown rooftops, large bedrooms, two baths, a jacuzzi tub, i mean this place had it all. the only negative thing i can come up with is that the hot water was *not* plentiful, we couldn't even fill a bath all the way before it started running cold. apparently the showers are on the same feed because my friend was unable to take a shower in the other bathroom for over an hour while waiting for the water to warm back up. however, i think if we had time, a quick call to the front desk would have solved the problem. the folks there were very nice, the 'continental breakfast' consists of fresh beverages and bakery goods from the attached cafe, and parking was a snap. its close proximity to the downtown theaters, restaurants, bars, and of course, crayola! is wonderful. the neighborhood is nice looking, but i have to say i saw a homeless guy taking a whiz behind a post next to the sidewalk while we were walking up to the theater. that was a little disconcerting, but more a commentary on the overall economic health of the area than the city itself. if i had any reason to return to easton, you better believe i'll be staying there again.

This historical buidling has elegant architecture on the outside and lobby areas with modern, clean loft big city style apartment feel on the inside. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite and were impressed with the belnding of architectures and the comfortable feel. Wonderful place for family or 3 adult couples. Nice weight room and small lap pool, secure parking and near freeways to NYC, Philly and Newark.

We live within 30 minute drive of the Grand Eastonian,we were just looking for a weekend getaway. This was beyond a perfect stay. The room was a 2 bedroom suite (really a condo) with beautful whirlpool tub and tiled surround. Bed was wonderfully comfortable, not something you would expect to find in a hotel. The kitchen was fully supplied and spacious. The hotel staff were beyond pleasant, not just friendly but engaging, we were made to feel we were visitng friends, not checking in with strangers. The front desk suggested a local art show we dd not know was scheduled. About the only negative if I was forced t come up with something was the vew. The room had large deep windows all around, but not much of a view. Can't blame the hotel for that,but the only thing I would say would make this place truly perfect!!

The hotel had character and was very clean- the 2 bedroom suite was wonderful, giving my husband and I privacy while the kids enjoyed the space!! The full kitchen, views out the windows, high ceilings were magnificant- the hotel sits in a quaint town, is only two blocks from the Crayola Factory, a Saturday farmer's market and some delicious restaurants/bars- will be returning-
