The Village Lodge - ماموث ليكس

We really enjoyed our stay at the Village Lodge. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was in good condition and my husband especially loved the really deep bath. The only slight negative was that we couldn't control the heating in the room and at night it did get rather hot (our stay was only mid May). There was a portable air conditioning unit in the main lounge which was good, but it was too big to bring into the bedroom, but this was such a small thing that I would still say our stay overall was really great.

Great room, central location, great service.

The hotel/condo was good for our needs -- easy access to the gondola and ski slopes and a pool for post-skiing play with a six year old. Read the fine print re the $20 resort fee per night -- that surprised us at checkout. Not a super sound - proof building -- the place was only 40% full when we were there but I could hear neighbors moving around. More hotel-y than condo-y in that regard but if you can get a good rate, it seems good for Mammoth. Service was great too- someone really helped us with the faulty DVD player in our room, coming back three times.

Room was noisy and AV/TV/internet equipment was broken or impossible to use. Staff was fine but had the usual Alpine attitude, like this is a part time job during the ski season. Location is perfect.

Everything was great. My only issue was that the WiFi connection/speed was lacking.

The rooms show a little wear, but are overall very clean and comfortable. The location is great. Right in the center of town close to shopping and food. The gondola is right at your feet and drops you at Canyon Lodge. The bed was super!

The Good: This hotel is right in town making the access to shops, restaurants, bars, & the gondola to the mountain literally steps from your room. There are several large jacuzzis, so you can usually find an empty one for a relaxing soak. Our room was very clean. The Bad: This is an expensive hotel, and for that high of a price, I expect better conditions. The room was showing age. Large frayed spot in the carpet (actually a hole!). Dingy couches. Even the in-room robes were frayed. And the bed was uncomfortable. Overall: If the hotel were to just do some maintenance to make the high price worth it, this would be a stellar place to stay.

we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite.......awesome hotel, awesome staff, great rooms, very comfortable beds, walking distance to the village gondola.........will definately be staying here again.

Perfect location in the center of the Village, bus to the lifts across the street. Modern condo, friendly service. Couldn't be happier.

We loved the room, full kitchen, though we didn't need it for one night. Staff was great - but the room was warm and even with help from the staff, we couldn't get it cool enough for us to sleep well (even in early November).

The Village Hotel is comfortable, well positioned. Great place to stay.

Disappointed in the room. Bed was pull-down Murphy mattress and felt like we were camping on our tent cots! Radiant floor heating not adjustable and room was overly warm. French doors only way to ventilate and we propped open slightly to cool room. Wind kept catching door, flinging it open and snow would blow in. Was pretty wild night. Room clean and in good shape.

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay, this is not the place. From the beginning we were met rudely by the desk staff, perhaps because we rode in on a motorcycle, who knows. The room at first glance was very nice, clean well kept. However, it was right above a bar which closes at 2AM of course and the noise, shouting,and yelling didn't stop until then. So if you go to bed expecting sleep anytime before 2AM. Forget about it. When we complained about it the staff was indifferent and not willing to help in anyway. And this was off season I can't imagine what it would have been like in December.

Loved it, but we would have liked to have known that there is no heat during this time of year because the fireplaces are turned off at this time of year. We would have liked to have had a romantic fire in the fireplace and perhaps a little warmth during the cool 40 degree night we spent there. Don't get me wrong, we were comfortable...but I would have like to have had this information UP FRONT. Don't treat us like idiots...tell us WHY you discounted the place!

My wife and I have been going to Mammoth for more than 30 years and this was our first stay in the Village. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. The Staff was great and the Room was better than expected. I would recommend this to others.

Very unprofessional staff at front desk. Hotel failed to acknowledge that I have stayed there before. The man checking me in treated me like I was a 2 year old & didn't really belong there. Also pool hours are fixed so that you really have NO time for a dip in the morning. Pool opens at 10, with 11am check out. Like so many upscale properties in Mammoth they really don't give a rip about you. I was first given a room above a bar, & facing other units. Noisy & no privacy. I had really enjoyed my previous stays, but after a phoney sounding apology from the MOD, I am seriously wondering if I'll stay here again. The location is great, but it's not cheap.

This is an awesome place in a fun location. Tons of things for the kids to do, and a fully equipped kitchen for easy meals.

Truly remarkable stay. Only problem that the pool was not heated and so it was icy cold

My husband and I had a really nice time staying at this hotel. We loved having a full kitchen in the condo to be able to cook and save a little money by doing so. The staff was very helpful in terms of directing us and letting us know what free services were available in the area, as well as good hiking areas. The only problem that we ran into was related to the timeliness of maintenance help. When we arrived at the hotel the toilet was clogged, and we requested that someone come to fix it for us as there was not a plunger in the room. Nobody ended up coming to the room or following up after calling three times. My husband and I had to fix it ourselves, which was a little disappointing. Overall, we had a really nice time.

Absolutely gorgeous room, hotel and location. Couldn't be more pleased.

Was there for the High Sierra Century bike ride. Location prefect any other riding including mountain bike riding. Glad I brought both the road and mountain bike.

I was disappointed with Hotels.com for not warning me of the extra $45 guest fee. I've never had this charge before when using Hotels.com. Other than the extra charge everything was nice. Great location.

Nice place. Nice big rooms. Wifi worked well. Great locatiin for exploring Mammoth. Only real negatives were that the $25 resort fee was a bit cheeky and it would have been nice if they served breakfast.

Everything right there. Convenient

It was great, except the TV remotes would not work, other than that I would highly recommend it.

Can't say enough great things about the Village- Beautiful accommodations...great location.... always an awesome time. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Mammoth. We come back every year!

This hotel is so cosy! Everything about this hotel and the serrounding area is fantastic! We enjoyed our stay and was so pleased to choose this hotel!

We were visiting from the UK travelling the loop from San Francisco! The Village Hotel was a random choice as a leg of our journey via Las Vegas . We landed the jackpot here! The four of us (my wife and two teenage children) were very comfortable in the room. The resort itself is set in a beautiful location and we partly regret not staying longer than just our one night as there is so much to see and do. The price was very reasonable indeed when you look at what you get. We did get a free upgrade to a condo room which made the stay all the more special. I would highly recommend the resort for a young adventurous family or just a relaxing stay in stunning surroundings with all the amenities you could possible need.

The Village Lodge has a wonderful location in the heart of Mammoth Village, where there are all kinds of activities and events for families. The pool is beautiful and the lodge showed a movie for kids one night in the viewing room. The only negatives would be to provide some coffee in the morning and upgrade the main bed in the studio room, which is just a futon that was previously a murphy bed- not comfortable at all.

really nice place we stayyed overnight in summer 2012 on route to Yosomite but would have liked longer . It looks like it would be excellent in winter the ski lift is right at the hotel

We were very disappointed with the heat of the room and we got very little sleep due to the partying in the plaza right off our room. Lots of people drinking and being extremely noisey until about 2:00a.m. Then an hour or two later the street cleaners/garbage cleanup came thru making horrendous amounts of noise dumping trash, glass, cans, etc! We left this hotel exhausted! Never again. If we had just been forewarned by anyone at the hotel, we would have asked for a quieter location.

It's a nice place and very conveniently located. The rooms seemed a little tight, but clean and nice enough. The hotel staff was also friendly. There is no a/c in the bedrooms (at least not in ours), which made leaving the window open at night essential. Well, the restaurants and bars are right under neath you, so you are up as late as everyone outside is up. For us, that was 2am-3am each night. No rest. Helpful hint: the front desk will send up ear plugs if requested. We enjoyed our stay but will probably look at other locations next time.

This is a great location that offers a few great things to do. Our daughter is almost 2 and there were sand boxes, the pool, and a lot of walking around she could do, which made our vacation more enjoyable!

We used this location to break up a long drive. Wow, what a spectacular area it is! The Hotel is comfortable and clean, best of all it's right in the middle of all the action.

A bit pricey but well worth it. Very clean and close to the shuttle area. After a 4 day hike, coming back to this condo was amazing!!

will be back soon if all possible great place.

Kitchen well stocked with utensils, underground parking easily accessible and hot tub was great - we listened to the jazz while relaxing in the tub! Lots more to do in mammoth lakes, would stay for at least a couple of nights before hitting Yosemite.

Although the location of hotel was good. Did not like the location of room. Was on ground level on outskirts of building with 2 lots of balcony doors accessible to anyone on street level. Door locks did not seem secure and as traveling on my own was a concern to me as did not feel safe. Overall Had a strange feeling about this property. Not sure if I would stay here again.

Everything was great, the location great, the ammenities very nice, the staff very pleasant and professional. Make sure your room faces into the courtyard, it is more quiet. Note the facility is not pet friendly!

Room in hotel was huge. Bed was lovely and comfy, bathroom was a bit basic and hostel-like. Not pleased about being on ground floor and not being able to have window open overnight. Air con not good, thank heavens it wasn't terribly warm outside. The resort itself had the feel of being out of season and a bit depressing to be honest. Beautiful place however but we were glad we were only there one night. The meal we had in the village itself whilst pretty good was by far the most expensive we encountered during our 3 week long trip to the US.

Rooms are extremely small, with very little storage for clothing. Ventilation was poor.

Probably OK for a week long ski vacation but inconvenient for a couple of nights. The in-room air conditionig unit was noisy and inadequate and the TV above the fireplace was un-watchable for more than a few minutes. Cooking odors from adjacent rooms made it like an eastern European tenament.
