Olympic Hotel Victoria - لندن

This is a small B&B hotel (recently combined with 2 neighbouring 'hotels') near Victoria Coach and Train stations. It is cheap compared with other hotels in the area, but you get what you pay for. My single room was very small and shabby: too small to hold a table or chair, with a sink and shower, but no toilet. The toilet was outside the room in the hallway facing the front door of what used to be the Grapevine Hotel. It was shared with at least 3 other rooms, and included a shower that was used frequently, so I presume that the other rooms did not have the 'luxury' that I had. Unfortunately, there was no curtain to separate the shower from the toilet, so frequently I went in there to find the toilet paper completely soaked, and no spare roll. After advising the office of the problem without any result, I went out and bought my own spare paper. Many things in the room did not work (e.g. most of the electrical plugs; the shower head did not spray; the sink trap did not stop water draining away before I finished shaving; the tv remote control (-- probably the batteries were dead, and I left it with the office, but it was never returned during the 4 days I was there). There was no soap provided, and a small pack of shampoo was there when I arrived, but never replaced again: fortunately I had my own soap and shampoo. The floors were broken in places, and covered by dirty carpets throughout. Sheets were clean, but the blanket was stained, torn and unravelling. In general, the room was barely adequate, and I would not have stayed there if travelling with my wife. As it is, I was out all day at meetings nearby, and it was convenient for both the stations, Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park, so it was tolerable. Breakfast was adequate: cereal, orange juice (dilute), croissant and toast. The service in the breakfast room was pleasant.

If I would have been by myself it would have been okay. It had 3 bathrooms and 3 showers for 12 rooms. The rooms were small but slept good. There was no A/C but a breeze seemed to come through the windows. Safety was never a concern. Victoria is a nice part of London. From Paddington station it was about 15 pounds for 4 of us to get there. I like a bathroom in my room. That would be my only complaint. The management was very nice and said I could cancel my second night but I had to contact hotels.com to do it.

Oppholdet på hotellet var intet mer enn "OK" - kanskje mest ford vi kun tilbrakte noen få timer om nettene der. Får virkelig ikke et øre mer enn man betaler for. Location var grei, ifht at det lå nære Victoria Station. Rommene var OK. Baderommene var forferdelige - det luktet mugg, var ikke renslig og noen av badene kunne heller ikke låses. Frokosten var også en katastrofe, da det alltid manglet enten brød, pålegg, bestikk eller kopper. Betjeningen ved frokosten var heller ikke særlig vennelige.

ikke et hotel jeg ville komme på med min familie fælles bad og toilet duer ikke

Fælles toilet og bad på gangen, delt med 3 andre værelser. Toilettet var meget beskidt, badet ligeså med fugt skjolder over hele loftet. Rengøring havde det vist ikke set meget af! Vi fik ingen rene håndklæder i de 4 dage vi var der! Værelset var meget lille med 3 senge og en håndvask i skabet.
